I went to Hawaii for my wedding and honeymoon. I decided to participate in a dolphin encounter to create lasting memories from my time in Hawaii.

Although the meeting time was early at 6:10 AM, I was able to catch a little sleep on the bus.

I was taken care of by Sue, and I had a really enjoyable time! I listened carefully to the instructions on the bus, and upon arrival, we moved to a spot on the boat where we could see dolphins. It's recommended to keep your belongings in a waterproof bag, like a plastic bag, just in case they get wet.

While there are chances you might not see dolphins, the class I participated in was very lucky, and we encountered a pod of nearly 70 dolphins multiple times, getting to see them up close! From the boat, we could also see dolphins swimming alongside us! Swimming with the dolphins (or rather, seeing them underwater) was a dream come true, and I was extremely satisfied!

Additionally, during the second hour, we were able to see sea turtles up close. It was my first experience seeing sea turtles this close.

However, since you have to swim on your own, it's best to let someone know if you're not comfortable with that.

The weather was great all day, and the water clarity was excellent! Meeting dolphins and sea turtles was the highlight of my trip!

挙式＆ハネムーンでハワイへ行きました。
ハワイでの思い出になるものを、と思いイルカ中学に参加することにしました。

朝は6時10分集合と早いですが、バスの中でも少し眠ることができます。

スーさんにお世話になりましたが、とっても楽しく過ごすことができました！
バスの中で注意事項をきちんと聞き、到着すると船でイルカの出るスポットへ移動です。
荷物は水に濡れても大丈夫なように、ビニールバッグ等に入れておくことがオススメです。

イルカに会えない等もあるようですが、参加したクラスはとっても運が良く、70頭近くのイルカの群れに何度も遭遇し、間近で見ることが出来ました！！
船上からも、並走して泳ぐイルカをみることが出来ました！！
イルカの群れと一緒に泳ぐ(実際には海中で見る)ことは夢のまた夢だったので、大満足です！！

また、二時間目にはウミガメも間近で見ることができました。
こんなにも近くでウミガメを見たのは初めての経験でした。

ただ、自力で泳ぐので、苦手なかったはきちんと申し出た方がいいです。


終日、お天気にも恵まれ、海の透明度も最高！
イルカ・ウミガメにも会えて、最高でした！

I was moved when a sea turtle came by while I was snorkeling and I was able to swim close to it. The time I participated was such that I could barely keep my head above water, which was quite different from the sandbars I often see in photos, so I was a bit disappointed. I think it's better to check the timing before participating.

As for lunch, to be honest, it might not be very filling, so you may feel a bit unsatisfied. Overall, I don't have any major complaints, but I feel that the price is a bit high for this level of satisfaction.

シュノーケリング中にウミガメがやってきて近くで一緒に泳ぐことができ、感動しました(^^)
私が参加した時間は海で首がぎりぎり出せるくらいで、よく写真で見るサンドバーとはだいぶ違っていて残念でした。時間を調べてから参加された方がよろしいかと思います。
昼食ですが、正直あまりボリュームがないので物足りないかもしれません。全体的に、これといって不満はありませんが、この満足度でこの値段はちょっと高いような気もします。

Going to Hawaii and meeting dolphins was a completely new experience for me. When I think of Hawaii, I think of the "beautiful ocean," and I had a strong desire to see "wild dolphins" in that stunning, vast sea, so I signed up for this option.

On the way to the harbor, the guide explained the diving location and the types of dolphins we would encounter. They also briefly talked about the city and its tourist attractions. The guide was Japanese, very cheerful, straightforward, and easy to talk to.

Once we arrived at the harbor, to avoid wasting time, a lecture was held on the bus. We learned how to put on life jackets and how to signal in case of an emergency. Thanks to the prior instructions, I was able to smoothly determine what to do upon arrival at the harbor. Additionally, I was asked on the bus whether I wanted to wear a wetsuit, which I learned could also serve as a warm layer, so I decided to wear it. My husband chose not to wear one, but since the weather was nice, he didn't feel cold afterward. There were no issues with sunburn either.

Upon arriving at the harbor and boarding a small boat, there were two staff members: one was a photographer and the other was the captain, both of whom spoke a bit of Japanese and were improving their language skills day by day. After a few minutes of sailing, we reached our destination and witnessed something large jumping out of the water. Yes, it was the dolphins we were looking for.

Not just one, but dozens of dolphins were leaping and showing off their presence while waiting for us. Excited, we immediately jumped into the sea. We had an agreement to always stay close to the guide and to signal immediately if anything happened.

When we dove in, it wasn't the dolphins coming to us; we were the ones going to find them, searching desperately underwater. The guide went ahead to the location where the dolphins were and signaled us, and we swam towards them. When we got close to the guide, we could see a group of dolphins (dozens of them) swimming gracefully. It was difficult to approach them, and we could only observe from about three meters away, swimming alongside them. Some lucky individuals had dolphins come close enough to touch, reaching out their hands.

According to the guide, there are times when the dolphins swim slowly and times when they swim quickly. After all, they are wild dolphins... We had two chances to dive and meet the dolphins! During the first attempt, I could barely keep up with the guide. When we reached the area where the dolphins were, they disappeared quickly, and I couldn't see them well. After returning to the boat and moving to a different location, we had a second chance! By the second attempt, I had gotten used to swimming with the fins on my feet. I was able to reach the guide more easily, increasing the number of times I saw the dolphins and allowing me to swim with them a lot. The dolphins also swam in groups, and we could see five or six at a time. While diving nearby, I could even hear the dolphins making sounds like "kyu-kyu." I was able to swim alongside them, matching their direction, and I was extremely satisfied!

ハワイと言えば「きれいな海」そんなきれいな広い海で「野生のイルカ」が見てみたいと言う強い気持ちを持ちこのオプションに申し込みました。

港へ行くまでは、バスの中でガイドさんが当日潜る海の場所やイルカの種類の説明。また、市内について(観光名所)を軽く話してくださいました。ガイドさんは日本人の方で、とても明るく、サバサバしていて、とても話しやすかったです。

港に着いてからモタモタし、時間を無駄にしてしまわない為に、バスの中で、レクチャーが行われました。
ライフジャケットの付け方、緊急時に備えてのサインの出し方。事前に教えてくださったお蔭で、港に着いてまずは何をしなくてはいけないのか自分で判断することができスムーズに行動ができました。それと、バスの中でウエットスーツを着るか着ないかを聞かれ、防寒着にもなると言うのも聞いたので私は着用しました。夫の方は着用はしませんでしたが、天気も良かった為もあり、終了後も寒がることなく過ごせました。日焼けの方も問題はなかったです。

港に着き、小型船に乗ると、スタッフさんがあと２人。その方々は外人の方で、１人はカメラマンさんで、もう１人は船長さんでした。片言の日本語を話し、日に日に日本語が上手になっているそうですｗ
船を走らせること、数分後、目的の場所に着くと、何か大きな物体が飛び跳ねるのを目の当たりに。そう、目的のイルカです。
一頭だけではなく数十頭ものイルカが代わる代わる回転しながら飛び跳ね存在感をアピールして私たちを待っていました。
テンションマックスの私たちはすぐさま海へ。
ここでの約束として、常に団体行動としてガイドさんのそばから離れないこと。何かあったらすぐにサインを送ること。を守りながらイルカに会いにいきました。
潜って見ると、イルカが会いに来てくれるのではなく、私たちがイルカに会いに行くというスタンスで、必死に海の中を探し回りました。また、ガイドさんが先にイルカのいる位置まで行ってくれ、私たちに合図をし、私たちはガイドさん目がけて常に泳いでいました。
ガイドさんのそばに行くとイルカの集団(何十頭)が優雅に泳いでいるのを目にできました。近づくことは難しく３メートルぐらい離れた位置で見れて、一緒に泳ぐという形でした。運がよく自分の近くまでイルカが来てくれたという方もいて、その方は手を伸ばせば触れれる距離だったそうです。
ガイドさん曰く、ゆっくり泳いでくれる時と、スピードが早い時があるみたいです。なんせ、野生のイルカなので。。。
イルカに会いに潜れるチャンスは２回！！一回目はガイドさんについていくのがやっと。イルカのいる場所まで行ってイルカが見えたと思ったらすぐにいなくなってしまい、ゆっくり、じっくりと見えませんでした。一度船に上がり、船の位置を移動してから２回目のチャレンジ！！２回目には足についているフィンで泳ぐことにも慣れてきました。すぐにガイドさんの所にも行けるようになり、イルカを見る回数も増え、たくさん一緒に泳ぐことができました。イルカの方も常に団体行動をしており、一回につき５、６頭も見れました。近くで潜っていると、「キュ～キュ～」と言うようなイルカの鳴き声まで耳にできるように。イルカの真上でイルカの泳ぐ向きに合わせ、並走して泳ぐことができ、とってもとっても大満足でした！

I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon.

The tour instructor was very friendly, kind, and cheerful. They congratulated us, saying, "Is it your honeymoon? Congratulations!" and we were able to enjoy ourselves throughout the bus ride.

The captain and the photographer were also very bright and energetic, and we had a truly enjoyable time☆

As for the dolphins, we encountered them surprisingly quickly after boarding. It seems that the dolphins in the area we were guided to tend to swim in groups, and we were able to see nearly 20 dolphins up close! I was really happy and moved because I never expected to see so many dolphins so close.

After that, the captain steered the boat so we could swim with the dolphins again, and we were able to swim near them several times.

Not only that, but I was also able to swim with sea turtles and colorful tropical fish, which made me very satisfied☆

I highly recommend this to everyone going to Hawaii. You will surely have a wonderful experience!

ツアーのインストラクターの方はとても気さくで親切な、明るい方でした。

バスの移動中も終始楽しく過ごすことが出来ました。

船長さん、カメラマンさんもとても明るく元気な方で本当に楽しい時間を過ごせました☆

肝心のイルカはというと、乗船してから驚くほどすぐに出会うことが出来ました。
案内していただいたエリアに生息するイルカは群れで行動する習慣があるそうで、
なんと20頭近くのイルカを間近で見ることが出来ました！
あんなに近くで、しかもあんなにたくさんのイルカに会えるとは思っていなかったので
本当に嬉しく、感激でした。

その後も、船長さんがイルカと再び泳げるよう舵を取ってくださり、何度か近くで泳ぐことが出来ました。

それだけでなく、ウミガメやカラフルな熱帯魚とも泳げて大満足です☆

I have participated in the Sandbar tour several times, but Captain Bruce's tour is definitely the best. The malasadas were delicious too. A sea turtle even came close to us, which was a delightful surprise. Honu is the best! I will definitely repeat this next time.

Amidst the busy weather of sunny, cloudy, and rainy spells throughout the morning, I participated in the morning plan.

We were picked up by a shared bus in front of each hotel. Our hotel received an early pickup, and I almost ended up being late because I was relaxing in the room, thinking it was just Hawaiian time (sweat).

We switched to a boat at the harbor. On that day, there were two boats, the Blue Boat and the Green Boat. The guide on the Blue Boat was a Japanese woman named Izumi. The captain and all the staff were women, creating a vibrant atmosphere. All the customers were Japanese, mostly couples and families, and everyone was calm and composed, which was nice (I’m not good with noisy environments…).
With a welcome drink and mini croissants or donuts, we felt relaxed both mentally and physically.

During the turtle watching, the current was too strong, and we couldn’t see any turtles. What a shame...

We quickly shifted our mood and moved to the sandbar. The sandbar was about knee-deep due to the tides, but it was truly amazing to be standing in the ocean while being out at sea. The scenery was wonderful and felt great. The water was surprisingly cold, but that’s just nature, so there’s nothing to be done about it.
If you ask the staff, they will take plenty of photos for you. However, be careful as cameras without waterproof features cannot be taken off the boat. It seems you can pay $45 for individual DVD shooting, so if it’s a honeymoon trip, I think it would be a good idea to request that.

Then came our main goal: snorkeling! While there weren’t colorful fish like in Okinawa, friendly turtles came and swam with us one after another. When I spotted a turtle napping among the reef, I felt like diving down even though I was wearing a snorkel. Sometimes, they almost bumped into me, and I thought, “Whoa!” (since touching them incurs a fine), it was truly a dreamy moment. I wished I could stay in the water forever.

After that, we got back on the boat for a light snack time. There were croissant sandwiches, salads, fruits, chocolates, cookies, and various drinks. The croissant sandwich was incredibly delicious. They said, “You can have as many as you want!” When it started to rain and I was cold and shivering, a hot coffee was the best thing ever.

When we returned to the hotel, it was still around 2 PM, so we could either go shopping or relax in Waikiki. Since we had a short stay, it was the right choice to use the morning plan effectively.

If I get the chance, I would definitely participate again. I want to see the shallow waters up to my ankles and the clear blue sea!

朝から晴れたり曇ったり雨降ったりの忙しい天気の中、午前プランに参加しました。

乗合バスで各ホテル前からピックアップ。我々のホテルには約束の時間より早めのお迎えでした。どうせハワイ時間だろうと部屋でのんびりしててうっかり遅れるところでした（汗）。

ハーバーで船に乗り換え。この日はブルー船とグリーン船の二隻でした。こちらのブルー船のガイドは日本人のイズミさん。キャプテンもスタッフも全員女性で華やかでした。お客さんは全員日本人でカップルやファミリーが多く、みなさん大人しく落ち着いてて良い感じ。（騒がしいのが苦手なので…。）
ウエルカムドリンクとミニクロワッサンorドーナッツで、気持ちも体もリラックス～。

カメさんウォッチングでは、潮の流れが速すぎてカメさんに会えませんでした。
残念。。。

気持ちを切り替え早々にサンドバーへ移動。サンドバーは潮の関係でひざ下位まであったけど、沖にいるのに海の中に立ててるなんて本当に不思議。景色も素晴らしく気持ちい～い。思いのほか水が冷たかったけど、それは自然のものですもの。しょうがないですね。
写真もスタッフに頼むとジャンジャン写してくださいます。ただ、防水機能のないカメラは船から持って出れないのでそこんとこ注意ですね。45ドル払うと個別にDVD用の撮影もして下さるようなので、新婚旅行とかだったらお願いした方が良いと思います。

それから、私達の一番の目的だったシュノーケリング！沖縄の海のようなカラフルなお魚達はいなかったけど、人懐っこいカメさん達が入れ替わり立ち代わり一緒に泳いでくれましたよ。リーフにまぎれて昼寝してるカメさんとか見つけると、シュノーケルつけてるのに潜ってしまいたくなったり。時にはあちらからぶつかりそうになって「おっと！」って感じになったりして（触ると罰金だもんね）、それはそれは夢のようなひとときでした。ずーっと水の中にいたかったなぁ。

その後は船に上がって軽食タイム。クロワッサンサンドやサラダ、フルーツやチョコやクッキー、ドリンクもいろいろありました。クロワッサンサンド、めっちゃおいしかったー。「おかわり自由よ！」とのことでした。雨が降ってきて濡れた体で寒くて凍えそうな中、ホットコーヒーが最高にうれしかったです。

ホテルに帰りついてもまだ14時くらいだったので、その後ショッピングに行くもよし、ワイキキでのんびりするもよし。滞在日数が少ない私達、一日が有効に使えるので午前プランで正解でした。

機会があったらぜひリベンジ参加します。足首までの浅さ＆快晴の海を見てみたい～！

I couldn't see the sand, but the ocean was really beautiful. The captain was funny and entertaining! Since we wore life jackets while snorkeling, we could enjoy even the deeper areas with peace of mind. My husband, who isn't very good at swimming, also enjoyed peeking into the water the whole time. The weather was great, and the scenery was perfect. It got a bit chilly at the end, so it was a good idea to bring a hoodie.

砂は見えませんでしたが、海がとってもキレイでした。キャプテンがひょうきんで面白いです！シュノーケルはライフジャケットを着用するので、少し深いところも安心して楽しめます。泳ぎがそこまで得意ではない主人も、ずっと海の中を覗いて楽しんでました。お天気がよくて、景色もバッチリでした。最後少し寒かったので、パーカーを持っていて正解でした。

I was able to see five sea turtles during the sea turtle watching, and I felt lucky to see a rare one, even though they were a bit far away. After enjoying beach volleyball and taking photos at the sandbar, as soon as we returned to the boat to prepare for snorkeling, a sea turtle approached us. Did it come closer on its own? It got so close that I could touch it, but the crew informed us that we shouldn't touch the sea turtles as they are protected. I was thrilled by the close encounter.

During snorkeling, we swam back and forth along the boundary of the coral reef and the ocean floor for about 30 minutes, and I was able to see many beautiful fish. I was also excited to see a sea turtle resting among the coral. After finishing snorkeling and getting closer to the boat, three more sea turtles came within touching distance, so I hurriedly dove in and was able to see them right in front of me. The sea turtles didn't seem afraid of people; it felt like they were coming to see us.

One person on the same boat got bitten on the foot by a sea turtle. It was a small wound, but the crew quickly took care of it, which was great. Before we got off at the sandbar, we were warned that if a sea turtle approached, we should not wave our fingers, as it might mistake them for food and bite. At that time, I thought it was just a funny joke from the humorous crew, but it turned out to be a real situation. The crew was very funny, and I hope to join the same crew's tour again. ウミガメウオッチングでは５匹見ることが出来ましたが離れているため、珍しいウミガメ見ることが出来たラッキー。まあこんなもんかなと思いました。サンドバーでのビーチバレーや写真撮影で楽しんだ後、シュノーケリングの準備のためボートに戻ったとたんウミガメの接近、ウミガメの方から近づいてきた?。数センチの距離でタッチ出来るので触ろうとしましたがクルーからウミガメは保護されているため触っちゃだめとのこと。あまりにも近距離での遭遇に感激。シュノーケリングでは珊瑚礁と海底の境界に沿って往復３０分程度でしたがきれいな魚をたくさん見ることが出来、珊瑚礁の中でウミガメがやすんでいるところも見ることが出来て感激でした。シュノーケリングが終わりボートまで近づいたらたらまたウミガメがタッチ出来る距離まで３匹近づいて来たので慌てて潜り目の前で見ることが出来ました。ウミガメは人を怖がらない、ウミガメが人を見に来た?・・・そんな感じ。同じボートに乗った人がウミガメに足をかまれました。小さな傷でしたがクルーがすぐ手当てしてくれよかったです。サンドバーに降りる前、ウミガメが近づいて来たら、指を出して振るとウミガメがえさと勘違してかまれるとの注意がありましたがそのときはひょうきんなクルーの話で冗談と思いましたがまさかの事態。クルーの方もとてもユーモラスでまた同じクルーのツアーに参加できたらと思います。楽しい時をありがとうございました。

I checked the tide chart online in advance and participated in the afternoon course. I thought I would see some sand, but even in the shallowest areas, the water was up to my knees.

Since it’s an area with not-so-great weather, it was quite cold. I was really happy for the warm tea service.

The staff were attentive, the lunch was delicious, and I was moved by how close I could swim with the turtles and rays!

Even for someone like me who can't swim, they lent me a life vest, so I was completely fine. My 5-year-old son was also able to join because the staff took care of him while he was on the boat.

The snorkeling and DVD purchase are optional, but I definitely think it's worth doing!

The DVD shoot made me feel like a model, as they took lots of photos in various poses, and I felt it was worth more than the price.

If you bring an underwater camera, the staff will take pictures during snorkeling as well.

We brought reef shoes just in case, but it felt better to go barefoot, so we ended up not using them.

I was worried about seasickness, but that wasn't a problem at all.

It was such a fun course that I want to participate again on my next trip to Hawaii.

The only concern is the weather and how to deal with the cold!

シュノーケルは、泳げない私でもベストを貸してくれるので全く大丈夫でしたし、5歳の息子もボートに乗せてくれてスタッフの方がみていてくれたので、一緒に参加することができました。

シュノーケルとDVD購入は、希望者だけですが、絶対やった方がいいと思います！

DVD撮影は、まるでモデルになったかのように色々なポーズでたくさん写真を撮ってくれて、値段以上の価値があると思いました。

水中カメラは、事前に用意して行くと シュノーケルの時にもスタッフさんが撮ってくれたりします。

リーフシューズも私達は一応用意をして行きましたが、裸足の方が気持ち良く 結局使いませんでした。

心配した船酔いも、問題ありませんでした。

とっても楽しいコースだったので、次のハワイ旅行でもまた参加したいです。

問題は、天気と寒さ対策かなぁ！

I came to Hawaii as part of my work and participated in a dolphin tour that I had been interested in for a while during my free time. The meeting time was early at 6 AM, but I was able to swim not only with dolphins but also with sea turtles and fish, and I got to experience kayaking as well. Additionally, there was a mini lesson for hula dancing that I could join! It was a half-day tour, and the staff were cheerful and it was a lot of fun. I definitely want to participate again. If I had to mention something, the tour photos were available for purchase on a USB for $60, but when I looked at them later, I realized there weren't many of my photos, so while it was a nice keepsake, I felt it wasn't necessary to buy them.

According to our guide, there are times when you might not see them, but on the day we participated, we immediately spotted dolphins as soon as we got on the boat! We quickly got ready and headed out to sea. We were able to see a wild mother and baby dolphin playing and swimming close enough to reach out to them. We encountered dolphins 2 or 3 more times after that, and we were very satisfied. We also had an encounter with a sea turtle.

I checked the low tide in advance and participated at the best time during my trip. There was a shuttle service to the hotel lobby, and we transferred to the designated boat at the boat dock. The boat does have a toilet, but it's basic and located right next to people, so only one person was using it. It seems better to take a restroom break before arriving at the boat dock.

There were many clouds, but it was a warm day, so I was lucky.

After stopping the boat, we walked a bit to the sandbar. Since we walked through the sea with coral reefs, reef shoes were convenient. I bought reef shoes for less than 1000 yen at a supermarket (they were sold as marine shoes), but most others were barefoot.

While anchored at the sandbar, a sea turtle came right up to us. It seems that touching the turtle is prohibited, but it was okay for the turtle to touch us, so we were able to feel its flippers and shell. I compared this tour with a cheaper one, but I’m glad I chose this one after checking the reviews, as we could anchor right next to the sandbar. The staff were all kind, and they took photos with my camera, capturing amazing shots of me jumping.

サンドバーで停泊中、ウミガメがすぐそばまで来てくれました。
人間から触ることは禁止されているそうですが、亀から触られるのはOKとのことで
手（ひれ？）が当たったり、甲羅が触れたりすることができました。
こちらより安いツアーと健闘したのですが、サンドバーすぐそばに停泊できることや
口コミをチェックして、こちらに決めてよかったです。
スタッフの方、皆さん親切でした。自分のカメラで写真も撮ってくれて
ジャンプしてる写真など絶妙の写真を撮っていただきました。

This was our family's first trip to Hawaii. Since it was highly recommended in every guidebook, we enrolled in Dolphin University.

It takes just under an hour to get from Waikiki to the harbor, but thanks to the cheerful conversation from the driver, we arrived in no time.

I recommend trying the malasadas from Leonard's Bakery.

I forgot to bring my motion sickness medication to the hotel, but a kind family who was also on the trip shared some with me, which helped ease my seasickness a bit. However, I think motion sickness medication is essential.

It was a wonderful time swimming with dolphins and seeing turtles.

I never imagined I could spend such a long time in the sea. I was able to see a pod of 30 to 40 dolphins, and Su-san's storytelling was amazing! If you're going to swim with dolphins, definitely choose Ilchu or Ildai! Thank you very much.

I participated with my sister. A few years ago, I joined a tour on Oahu with a friend for the first time and was deeply moved, so I decided to share the same experience with my sister. The boat was significantly smaller than the one I had been on before, and since there were many participants that day, we had to sit in a position where it was difficult to see outside the front of the boat (I could barely see through a foggy small window by standing up), which made it a bit cramped and I ended up feeling a little seasick. At one point, our seats became a storage area, and we had nowhere to sit. I had never felt uncomfortable during my previous participation, so I felt sad thinking it shouldn't have been like this. If I had experienced something like this during my previous participation, I might have chosen a different tour instead. (If the Japanese guide had shown a bit more consideration, it might have felt completely different...)

However, I was able to see many dolphins and three baby sea turtles, which quickly lifted my spirits. In the end, we danced the hula and had a fun time returning.

I heard that they will be purchasing a larger boat for the summer, so I would like to consider joining again during my next visit.

姉と二人で参加しました。数年前に初めてオアフ島へ友人と行った際に参加をさせて頂き、大変感動した為、姉にも同じ思いを。。。との気持ちで参加を決めました。以前乗船した船より大分小さくなっており当日は参加者が多かった為、船の先端の 外が見ずらい(立ち上がってようやく曇った小窓からすこし見える程度)位置に座り窮屈だった為少し船酔いをしてしまいました。途中から私たちの席は荷物置き場になってしまい座る席がなくなりました。以前参加した時は不快な思いをする事が一度もなかった為、こんなはずではなかったとの思いにかられ悲しくなりました。以前参加した時が今回のような体験をしていたらこちらのツアーではなく違うツアーにしていたかもしれません。(日本語ガイドの方の気遣いが少しでもあれば気持ち的には全く違ったかもしれませんが、、、)
しかし、たくさんのイルカと海亀親子3匹に会う事が出来て、悲しい気持ちは一気に吹っ飛びました。　最後はフラダンスを踊り楽しく帰って来れました。

夏には大きい船を購入されるそうなので、次回訪問時はまた検討したいと思います。

Woke up at 6:00 AM, gathered at 6:30.

1時間ほどの運転で西海岸に到着。
早速船に乗り込む。

イルカ中学はイルカ大学より船が小さいためかなり揺れました。
でも周りの景色は最高！！
特に伝説のハワイアンミュージックの神様IZが眠る「???」(すみません、名前忘れてしまいました)は絶景中の絶景でした。上陸したかったです。できませんかね？

船に揺られること30分、ついのイルカポイントに到着。
海に飛び込む。ここでのポイントはウェットスーツ借りること。ちなみに私は海パンいっちょで飛び込んで非常に寒い思いをしました。。海をなめたらあかん。)

しばらくするとあかおちゃんの「下見て、下見て」の掛け声。
言われた通り下を見るとイルカの群れを発見！！ざっと50匹ぐらいはいたのではないでしょうか。
こんなにも早く見つかるなんてラッキーでした。
その後も人懐こいイルカがほんの5m先でくるくる回りながら遊んでいたり、大変貴重な経験をさせて頂きました。

個人的にはウミガメ観察ツアーもなかなか楽しかったです。

The class president was very energetic, and I had a great time on the bus without a moment to feel sleepy.

I enjoyed watching the dolphins, but I wanted to swim with them... As a diver and swimmer, I felt that the life jacket was unnecessary (>_<). Just looking down... While it might be necessary to keep everyone together and prevent chasing, the staff were all free diving... What a shame.

I wanted to eat freshly made malasadas from Leonard's since we were there.

I mentioned some downsides, but overall, I had a lot of fun throughout the half day.

I was happy that they took a lot of photos. Whether the photo data for $60 is cheap or expensive is a bit ambiguous. It's not just our photos. However, there were many pictures that we couldn't have taken ourselves, so that was a plus.

写真をいっぱい撮ってくれたのは嬉しかった。その写真データが60ドルは安いか高いか…微妙なところ。自分たちの写真だけではないから。でも、自分たちでは撮れない写真がいっぱいあったので◎かなー。

I apologize for the late post, but I participated in the Dolphin Middle School tour in April. Last year, I joined the Dolphin University tour, which was a fulfilling experience, but this time I decided to try Dolphin Middle School based on a friend's recommendation that "the boat is thrilling and fun."

To sum it up, it was an incredibly enjoyable and satisfying time. First of all, we saw so many dolphins. By quietly approaching as instructed by the captain and never chasing them, we were able to have them come back to us multiple times. It felt unreal to actually experience "swimming with a pod of dolphins."

Additionally, I was able to see many of my favorite sea turtles. It seems that it's not common for so many to gather, but we were able to slowly observe a family of about five or six turtles, and they came right up to the surface for air, coming very close to us.

Moreover, from the boat, we were lucky enough to see an out-of-season whale and a rare seal. I believe whether you encounter dolphins, sea turtles, or whales depends on luck that day, but I highly recommend this tour. I definitely want to participate again when I go to Hawaii.

普段はこんなに集まっていることはあまりないそうですが、５～６頭の家族のようなウミガメたちをゆっくり見れて、しかも息継ぎのために海面に上がってくる度に顔のすぐ目の前に来てくれました。
その他にも、ボートの上から季節外れのクジラや、貴重なアザラシも見ることができて、とてもラッキーでした。
イルカやウミガメ、クジラに会えるかどうかはその日の運によると思いますが、とてもお勧めできるツアーです。
ハワイに行く時は必ず参加したいと思います。

This was my sixth time participating. I was really happy and excited to see that a crew member from three years ago has become the captain! This time, while searching for dolphins, we unexpectedly encountered a whale, which is rare for this season! I was so thrilled to see its tail fin! We also saw the most dolphins I've ever seen, and when I dove in to swim with them, it was incredibly close and very healing. I'm looking forward to participating again next time!

I participated in Taka's tour on May 9th. It was a smooth and friendly tour.

Although I hadn't requested it, they provided a morning call, allowing me to arrive at the meeting place on time. On the way to the port by car, we had a mini sightseeing tour and listened to Taka's extensive knowledge, and before I knew it, we arrived in about 40 minutes.

Once we got on the boat, we soon encountered a pod of dolphins!!! Everyone was worried about whether they would get to see dolphins, but we were able to swim with many dolphins and had big smiles on our faces. There was even a baby dolphin. We could hear the dolphins' calls as well.

This alone was satisfying, but then we moved to a spot to see sea turtles.

We quickly found the sea turtles, and after a while, one came to the surface for air, allowing us to see it right in front of us. It was a precious experience.

We were blessed with good weather, and I’m really glad I participated.

Captain Sisters were all warm, and every participant successfully graduated from Dolphin Middle School!!

Even those who are not good at swimming received assistance, so I felt it was a tour where I could participate with peace of mind. Although it was an early morning and I was sleepy, it was a fulfilling day. Thank you very much.

5月9日タカさんのツアーに参加しました。進行がスムーズでフレンドリーなツアーでした。

お願いしていなかったのですが、モーニングコールをしてくださり時間通り集合場所へ行けました。
車で港まで向かう途中、プチ観光&タカさんの豊富な知識を聞きながら約40分あっという間に着きました。

ボートに乗りしばらくするとイルカの群れが!!!
みんなイルカに会えるのか心配していたのですが沢山のイルカと一緒に泳げ笑顔に♪赤ちゃんイルカもいました。イルカの鳴き声も聴こえました。
これだけでも満足ですが、その後海亀のスポットへ移動。

海亀もすぐ見つかり、しばらくするとい息継ぎのために海面まで来たので目の前で見る事ができました。
貴重な体験をする事ができました。

お天気にも恵まれ参加して本当に良かったです。

船長 sistersみんな暖かく参加者全員無事にイルカ中学校を卒業できました!!

泳ぎの苦手な方もアシストして下さいますし、安心して参加できるツアーだと感じました。
朝が早いので眠かったですが充実した1日でした。

It was a bit chilly from the day we arrived in Hawaii, and the weather looked questionable on the day of the event, but it cleared up just in time. Since we participated in the morning, the sea water was cool, but it wasn't so cold that we couldn't get in.

We participated as a three-generation family, and everyone enjoyed it regardless of age. Especially when we were anchored at the snorkeling spot, two wild turtles kept circling around the boat, and while we floated in the water, they came close to us several times.

When the sea turtle took a breath, we witnessed a cute splash along with a little puff of air, which became a wonderful memory for the three of us. The light snacks were delicious and plentiful.

Additionally, all the staff members were cheerful and very kind. I definitely want to participate again the next time I visit Hawaii.

軽食もおいしく、充分な量でした。
またスタッフの方々が皆さん明るく、とても親切でした。
次回ハワイに訪れた際も必ず参加したいと思います。

It's natural, but unfortunately, it was cloudy throughout the tour, and the water was so cold that I shivered when I got in. Also, the sandbar had a tide level that was about chest to knee height. I think those planning to visit should check the tide levels beforehand.

The sea turtles approached us from a distance and sometimes came so close that they brushed against my legs, which was very moving. The BBQ lunch was a bit cold, but it was delicious. The crew members were all very nice, and the malasadas were tasty too!

On slightly chilly days, there isn't a place to change, so I recommend bringing a thicker jacket and extra towels. It was mentioned that bringing regular cameras to the sandbar is not recommended due to the risk of getting them wet, so if you want to take photos, I suggest bringing a waterproof camera (they were also sold on the boat for about $20).

The snorkeling was enjoyable, with about 20 minutes spent at a point where we couldn't touch the bottom, lined up in a row. The waves were strong, and I wasn't very confident in my swimming, but the staff were nearby on boards watching over us, which made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy it.

I truly wish I could have experienced this on a sunnier day, but thank you for the fun experience!

また、サンドバーは胸下～膝上程度の潮位でした。こちらを目当てにしている方は潮位を調べてから行ったほうが良いと思います。

ウミガメは向こうから接近してきて時には足に触れるくらい近づいてきてくれて、とても感動しました。
BBQランチも冷めてはいましたが、おいしかったです。クルーの方々もとても良い方ばかりでした。マラサダもおいしかったです！

少し寒い日は、着替える場所はありませんが厚めの上着、余分なタオルなど持参された方が良いと思います。サンドバーでは普通のカメラの持ち込み(ぬれるため）は推奨されないとのことでしたので、写真を取りたい方は防水カメラの持参をお勧めします。（船上でも20ドル程度で販売されてました）

シュノーケリングは20分程度足がつかないポイントで列にならんで楽しみます。波が強く、少し泳ぎに自信が無かったのですが、近くでスタッフの方がボードに乗って見守っていて下さったので安心して楽しめました。

本当に、もう少し晴れている日に体験できたらと思うと残念ですが楽しい体験をありがとうございました。

On April 23, 2014, with clear skies and an early morning departure, we stayed at The Kahala Hotel & Resort, and on that day, we were picked up from our hotel. During the ride to the meeting point in Waikiki, our representative, Yuriko, shared stories about environmental protection in Hawaii and the healing power of dolphins, which made me feel very relaxed despite the early hour. Listening closely, I could hear the dolphins making sounds like "ee-ee," and seeing them swim in the crystal-clear blue water, always together with their families, made me question, "Is this real?" Just watching them was healing for both my body and soul, and it felt like they were teaching me something important.

We were very lucky that day, encountering pods of dolphins multiple times. When we entered the water at the second point, it felt like we were surrounded by dolphins. While I was swimming away from my husband (with no one else nearby), a dolphin swam right in front of me, and our eyes met... I was so overwhelmed with joy that I shouted, "Yay!" As it swam by, about four dolphins swam together towards the ocean floor, and even now, it feels like a dream.

According to the guide, we were fortunate to encounter over 150 dolphins that day. I had heard that there are days when you might not see any dolphins due to their wild nature, so I was truly grateful and moved. After that, we moved to another point and got to see turtles and many beautiful fish, which made me very satisfied!

I brought a waterproof camera, but there was a photographer who took pictures for us, and we could purchase them, making for a wonderful keepsake. Throughout the boat ride and while swimming, the guide kept an eye on each of us, checking, "Are you okay?" which made me feel very safe.

It was a fantastic tour swimming with dolphins at a power spot, and I was particularly impressed by the guide's thorough safety management. ２０１４／４／２３晴天・早朝出発・私たちはカハラ宿泊でしたので、当日は宿泊ホテルまで迎えに来て頂きました。迎えにいらした代表yurikoさんからワイキキ集合場所までの間「ハワイでの環境保護のお話」や「イルカから与えられる癒し」のお話し頂き、早朝にも関わらずとてもリラックスした気分になりました。素敵な笑顔で「沢山のイルカに会えると良いですね」と言われると沢山会える気がしてきます。ワイキキから乗船場所までの車中はガイドのtakaoさんから「日立の木」や「パールハーバー」など観光名所も説明して頂けます。私はシュノーケルはしていましたが、沖で深い海に入ることが初めてだったので少々不安がありました。ガイドさんがツアーにおける安全面での注意事項をしっかり説明して下さり「安全に関しては私も厳しい言葉で注意してしまうかもしれませんが、何より皆さんが無事故でツアーを体験して頂ける大事なことなのでご容赦下さい」との言葉にとても安心しました。４月の海はまだ水温が低いため寒がりの私はウエットスーツを借りました。ガイドさんの説明通り海に入っている時より船に上がって風に吹かれると本当に寒くなるので特にお子さんや女性は借りた方が良いと思います。もちろんライフジャケットも着用し準備万端です。いざポイントにつくとガイドさんのテンポ良い指示で海へ入り、イルカのいる方向を大きな声で教えて頂けます。「下見て！下見て！」という声で下を見ると本当にイルカの群れが泳いでいます！初めて野生のイルカを間近で見た時の感動は言葉では言い表せません。ガイドさんが「あんなに広い海なのにどうしてわざわざ自分たちのいる真下を通って泳いで来てくれるのか、イルカも興味を持って近づいて来てくれる・・・本当に不思議です」とおっしゃってましたが、本当に神秘的です。耳を澄ますと「キューキュー」とイルカの鳴き声が・・・真っ青で透き通った海に泳ぐイルカ・・家族といつも一緒にいるイルカ・・・「現実なんだろうか」と不思議な感覚になり、見ているだけで身体も心も癒され感動しますし、大切な何かを教えてくれる気がします。この日はとてもラッキーでイルカの群れに何度も会い、２回目のポイントで海に入った時はイルカの群れに囲まれるような感じでした。私は主人と離れて泳いでいた時に（近くに誰もいなかった）目の前をイルカが横切り、イルカと目が会い・・・あまりの感激で「ぎゃ～！」と喜び叫んでしまいました。横切りながら４頭位のイルカがまとまって海の底の方に向かって泳いでいったのですが、今思い出しても夢みたいでした。この日はガイドさんいわく合計１５０頭以上のイルカと遭遇出来たラッキーな日だったとのこと。野生のため、残念ながらイルカに会えない日もあると聞いていたので本当に感謝感激でした。その後、また別のポイントへ移動し、カメと沢山の美しい魚たちに会えましたので大満足です！防水カメラを持参しましたが、カメラマンさんが同行して写真を撮って下さり、写真も購入出来たのでとても記念になりました。乗船中も、泳いでいる最中もガイドさんが一人一人に目を配り「大丈夫？」と安全確認してくださるのには本当に安心しました。パワースポットでイルカと泳ぐという素晴らしいツアーでしたし、何より安全管理をキチンとされるガイドさんに感心しました。次回はぜひハワイ島でマンタ大学も体験したいと思います。yurikoさんtakaoさん、良いポイントへ連れて行って下さった船長さん、素敵な体験をありがとうございました。

The water was very clear, but it was different from the photos that show the sandy beach emerging from the water. However, the staff were very unique and I had a lot of fun.

水もすごくきれいでしたが、写真で見るような砂浜が水からでてる写真とはちがいました。
しかし、スタッフの方もとてもユニークでとても楽しめました。
