I participated on September 26th. The weather was very nice.

It was an early morning, but the guide was very energetic, so it's better to prepare yourself for not being able to sleep on the bus (I slept like a log on the way back).

We were able to see a lot of dolphins, including baby dolphins, which was incredibly moving. It was my first time seeing them up close. At first, I wasn't used to snorkeling and swimming in the ocean, and I could barely keep up with the guide, but I gradually got the hang of it.

The guide would call out things like "Look down!" so I think it would be easy to spot the dolphins when they appear.

After seeing the dolphins, we swam in another location to see turtles. That place had crystal-clear water and many tropical fish, making it very beautiful.

I was told not to touch the turtles, but since they swam towards me, I was desperately trying to avoid them. I was moved to see a turtle taking a breath at the surface right in front of me.

While moving by boat, I felt lucky to encounter a pod of dolphins.

Regarding what to bring when participating, I think it's best to take only the essentials. Since water splashes into the boat, it's a good idea to keep your belongings in a waterproof bag.

Also, I recommend taking motion sickness medication (a few people felt unwell on the way back).

イルカはたくさん見ることができました。赤ちゃんイルカもいてすごく感動しました。あんなに近くで見たのは初めてでした。最初はシュノーケルと海で泳ぐことになれておらず、ガイドの人についていくのが精いっぱいでしたが、段々と慣れてきました。
ガイドの方が「下みて～」などの声かけをしてくれるので、イルカが出現したら見ることは簡単だと思います。
イルカを見た後に、亀を見るために別の場所で泳ぎました。その場所は水も透き通っていて、熱帯魚もたくさんいてとてもきれいでした。
亀には触れないようにと言われましたが、亀が自分の方に泳いでくるので、よけるので必死でした。海面で息継ぎをする亀を、目の前でみられて感動しました。
ボートで移動中にも、イルカの群れに遭遇できて得をした気分でした。
参加するときの荷物についてですが、必要最低限のものを持って行ったほうがいいと思います。船の中に水しぶきが入ってくるので、防水の袋に入れておいたほうがいいです。　　　　
あと、酔い止めは飲んでおいた方が良いと思います(帰りの船で数名気分が悪くなっていたので）。
イルカに会えるのももちろんですが、きれいな海でシュノーケルができたので、参加して本当に良かったと思いました。

I participated in a tour of the prestigious Dolphin University with a friend! I was excited because we were supposed to swim with wild dolphins and turtles!

I participated on September 25th!
We were blessed with good weather and encountered a large pod of dolphins multiple times.
The waves weren't too high, making it relatively easy to swim.
The experience felt like being thrown into the ocean and then swimming to chase the dolphins! So, if you're not a strong swimmer, it might be best to stick closely to the instructor (there are several in the water as well).
Even for someone like me who can swim, I felt it might be physically challenging at times.
The boat rocked quite a bit, and water splashed, so it's better to bring only things that can get wet. Don't forget motion sickness medication.
I was worried about getting seasick, but the pleasant breeze and beautiful scenery made for a comfortable boat trip.
The instructors were very lively, and the secret catchphrase (Shitamite Shitamite! Koko Shitamite~!) and dance were very memorable.

It was a tour that both adults and children could enjoy from start to finish!
It was a moment to experience the beautiful ocean that is characteristic of Hawaii.

波はそんなに高くなく、比較的泳ぎやすかったと思います。
海の中へ放り出されてイルカみつけたらそこへ泳いで追いかける！という感じなので、泳ぎが得意でない方インストラクターの方にピッタリついていた方がいいかも。
（海の中でも何名かいらっしゃいます）
泳げる私でさえ体力的に途中厳しいかも…と感じました。
船が大分揺れて水がはねるので、濡れても良い物だけをお持ちする方がいいですよ。酔い止めもお忘れなく。
船酔いが心配だった私ですが、気持ちの良い風と素敵な景色で快適な船旅でした。
インストラクターの方々は大変ノリの良い方たちで、秘密の合言葉(シタミテシタミテ！ココシタミテ〜！)やダンスはとても印象的です。

最初から最後まで大人も子供も楽しめるツアーでした！
海が綺麗なハワイらしい経験が出来たひとときです。

ぜひ防水カメラをお持ちになることをオススメします！

This was my second time snorkeling, and even though I'm not good at swimming, I was able to enjoy the tour thanks to Dan and Chieko, who paid careful attention to everyone. They also lent us rescue vests, which made it easy to float while swimming, so I highly recommend this tour for those who aren't very confident in their swimming skills. Additionally, I was thrilled to encounter a sea turtle. I think it would have been difficult to see one on my own. Very disappointing. We had to decide as soon as we got off the bus what time we wanted to be picked up - 10 AM or 12 noon. Had we known how long it would take us to actually get into the water, we would have chosen noon! We were picked up at 7 AM, got to the Bay about 7:45, had to stand in line to get tickets, wait our turn to see a required film (very good actually), and then walk about 10 minutes down to the Bay, and then stand in another line to get a locker for our bags. We did not get into the water until almost 8:45, more than an hour after we had been picked up. THEN, we find our that the snorkel/mask ensemble was so inflexible that we could not get it to work properly! The mouthpiece was too rigid, would not form a tight seal and kept pulling to one side, and my husband's snorkel actually kept coming unhooked from the mask! Had we known this, we would have bought our own equipment at the ABC store for $10 and actually been able to snorkel! As it was, we spent until 9:30 trying to get the equipment to fit, and then had to head back to the bus for the 10 AM pick-up. Had the connection between the mouthpiece and the snorkel tube been accordion-like and flexible, it would have been a lot better. If you plan to go on this trip, bring your own equipment and be prepared to not get into the water right away. The Bay is beautiful and the water was wonderful, but our experience with the inflexible pick up time and equipment was not wonderful!

A bus came to pick us up right in front of the hotel, and it was about a one-hour ride to the ocean. During that time, our energetic guide shared many fun and interesting stories about Hawaii and the ecology of dolphins. Thanks to her, my sleepy body was fully awakened, and I was getting excited about meeting the dolphins!

Before I knew it, we arrived at the ocean. We quickly boarded the boat, got ready to jump into the water, and set off! Then, we were told that there were dolphins nearby, and we all jumped into the sea! With the signal to "look down!!!", I desperately looked below, and there they were!!! I could see the dolphins swimming beneath us!!! It was breathtaking!

Soon after, more dolphins appeared! We all jumped in again, and with the signal to dive, we saw even more dolphins swimming! I even spotted some smaller dolphins. It was truly a magnificent view.

The time spent with the dolphins and the turtle professor was so enjoyable that it flew by, but I was really glad to have participated. I silently promised the dolphins and the turtle professor that I would come back to see them again. It became an unforgettable memory.

We went to Hawaii again as a couple during Silver Week. This time, I wanted to include snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, so I booked this tour. To be honest, I initially applied for the tour "Hanauma Bay with a Certified Veteran Guide," which had many reviews and experiences, but it was not available, so I chose this tour instead. Unfortunately, it rained from the morning. During snorkeling, there was heavy rain and waves, and the sand was stirred up, making it difficult to see the fish clearly. Moreover, the approximately one hour of snorkeling was cold, and I was shivering after getting back on land.

However, I can't go against nature, so I hope to try again on a sunny day next time. I have snorkeled at several places in Honolulu, but when it comes to seeing fish, it can't compare to Guam, Saipan, or Southeast Asia's Cebu and Phuket.

でも自然には逆らえないので、今度は晴れた時に再チャレンジできたらと思います。
ホノルルでは何か所かでシュノーケリングしましたが、やはり魚を見るならば、グァム、サイパンや東南アジアのセブ島やプーケットなどには かないませんね。
でもガイドさんが一生懸命説明してアシストしてくださり、ツアーとしてはとてもよかったと思います。
また期待していなかったホヌと会えたのがよかったポイントです。

The hotel pick-up was smooth, and we felt reassured that the American husband spoke Japanese without any issues. The two women were snorkeling for the first time, but they were kindly taught and had no problems enjoying it at all! The masks and snorkels were also the latest models and very clean. It was a bit disappointing that we didn't get to see any turtles and that the time at Hanauma Bay felt a bit rushed.

I checked the tide levels in Kaneohe Bay in advance and booked the "morning plan" for the second day of our itinerary. It might be a bit different from what you imagine when you see it on TV, but wild dolphins are amazing. We also got to go canoeing, which was fantastic. The hamburger we had at the end was the best for the kids.

This was an excellent day out for the two of us. Unfortunately I had difficulty snorkelling but was not pressured by the staff to keep trying. My boyfriend saw some amazing sights while snorkelling and snuba-ing, including a turtle (see photo). We received complimentary drinks (including alcohol) and lunch was either a chicken or pulled pork sandwich which was lovely. Cameron the snuba instructor was very nice and informative and tried his best to give us an enjoyable trip.

This was a great beach day at Kailua Beach! We were picked up by mini van right at our hotel and taken to a small plaza containing the water sports store sponsoring the activity. The people in the store were pleasant and showed us the lockers and gave us our vouchers for the included lunch. Also included was the use of boogie boards and beach chairs. The beach is a short walk from the plaza so keep in mind that you will need to carry things with you. Towels not included so be sure to bring your own! The beach itself is gorgeous and clean with that beautiful blue iridescent water! We set up shop under a tree and were happy there all day. There are facilities at the beach. While the food places were open at 10:00 AM, we chose to wait until 12:30 to eat. We opted for the pizza and drink. The pizza was the closest to true NY style we had in Hawaii...we were very impressed! It says one slice however the slice is actually a quarter of a very large pie and they cut it in two for you so it is two good sized slices! At the end of the day we headed back to the store and turned in our beach things we had borrowed and browsed the gift shop. A great day!

There was also another family of four, making a total of nine people on the tour. From the moment we were picked up to the time we were dropped off, we felt their constant care and attention. During the main snorkeling activity, the experienced guides ensured that everyone in the group had a great time, and they especially stayed close to my mother-in-law, allowing her to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. Although we didn't encounter any turtles, the hospitality we experienced made this tour feel worth more than the price we paid. I believe that snorkeling can vary depending on the weather and time of day, so you might not see everything you hope for, but I think it's worth participating.

They also manage valuables securely, which is reassuring. As others have mentioned in their experiences, they upload photos taken during the tour to Facebook, so you can get pictures without needing to bring an underwater camera.

I was able to swim with a large pod of wild dolphins and even with false killer whales. The captain was flexible and extended our time by about an hour, and we were also able to do activities like stand-up paddleboarding.

Amazing experience! Dan is very funny and nice, a great guide. Everything was perfectly organized, in every detail. Hanauma Bay is truly spectacular, Dan guided us in a long route in the bay. It was great, we saw a lot of fishes, and Dan took plenty of pics (much better than mine!). He was most helpful also during the trip to Hanauma Bay! A must-do when in Honolulu!
