Oahu Spinner Dolphin Tour on the Waianae Coast with Snorkeling, Lunch & Hotel Transportation

Just Terrific

They pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the west side. They gear you up, they advise you not to touch or chase. You get on the water and if you're lucky, like us, you spot a pair of hump back whales. Then when they locate the dolphin herd, you get to swim among them for about an hour. Then you get to spend almost as much time over a reef, where you can swim with sea turtles and other fish. It was just terrific.

Then you get a decent sandwich and a drink, because you will be hungry after a full morning. Then they drive you back to Waikiki.

Excellent photo disk available to chronicle your trip, at a good price, if you wish. 400 photos of your trip + bonus file with great pics of dolphins, whales, and the area.

Only negative was no changing facility, public restrooms only. Also no bathroom on the boat so be prepared.

Definitely worth the price for this experience.

The distance to the dolphins was far, and the snorkeling experience to see the dolphins was quite short, lasting less than 10 minutes, which was disappointing. However, there was plenty of time for snorkeling with sea turtles after moving to another location, so I wish I could have seen the dolphins a bit longer.

The staff members were very kind.

The tour went quite far south in search of dolphins, and both my parents and I were moved to see nearly 30 dolphins!! The wetsuits are available for rent, but they help prevent sunburn and provide buoyancy in the water, so whether you're confident in swimming or not, wearing one allows you to focus on the dolphins, which was thrilling and made for an amazing day~♪

I didn't have high expectations for anything other than the dolphins, but the cheeseburgers and the hospitality of the staff were excellent! The tour also includes water activities like snorkeling and kayaking after lunch, so you definitely should experience them!!

イルカ30匹近くを見る事ができて両親も私も感動!!
ウエットスーツが有料だけど、日焼け防止や水中で浮力が出るので、泳ぎに自身があってもなくても着ているとイルカに集中できて感動するし、楽しかったし最高の１日でした～♪

イルカ以外は期待してなかったけれど、チーズバーガーやスタッフの方のホスピタリティ最高！
昼食後のシュノーケリング、カヤックなどの水のアクティビティもツアーに含まれているので、是非体験するべき!!

We had a hard time finding dolphins and only spotted a group of six just in the nick of time. We finally went snorkeling, but we couldn't swim with them properly. We were disappointed as we had to head back due to time constraints, but thanks to the driver's consideration, we got a second chance. During the second attempt, we were able to swim quite close to them and had a great time.

Such an amazing experience! The staff were really helpful and friendly and knew a lot about the animals we would be seeing. We got to snorkel with a pod of dolphins for about an hour - an hour and a half, which was fantastic and then they took us to another snorkel reef spot where we saw about 5 sea turtles ! Would definitely recommend it !

I was worried about whether I could wake up properly since we had an early morning meeting, but I did my best to meet Dolphin Sensei. It takes about an hour by car, but the staff member, Julie, was so entertaining that we arrived in no time.

Since it's cold this season, we rented wet suits (for a fee) and set off! Along the way, we encountered sea turtles and whales. Several times!!

However, I was feeling down because we couldn't meet Dolphin Sensei. But the staff worked hard to find them, and in the end, we were able to swim with the dolphins. I'm grateful to the staff for their perseverance.

The mother and baby dolphins were so cute!

朝早い時間の集合だったので、ちゃんと起きられるか不安でいたが、
イルカ先生に会うためにがんばりました。
車で１時間くらいのところなのですが、車中ではスタッフのジュリさんのトークがおもしろくて
あっという間に着きます。

この時期は寒いのでウエットスーツを借りて（有料）出港！
途中ウミガメ、クジラに遭遇しました。何回も！！

しかし、肝心のイルカ先生には会えなくて、ブルーになっていました。
が、スタッフの方が一生懸命さがしてくださり、最後イルカと一緒におよぐことができました。

On the way to see the dolphins, we were lucky enough to spot a whale. It's not often you get to see one so close. After that, we jumped into the sea where the dolphins were. We were able to see dolphins swimming in a group, but unfortunately, they were too deep, so it didn't feel like we were swimming with them. At the snorkeling spot, we were able to see a turtle. It swam quickly and dove down, so only a few people near the cameraman got to see it. When we returned to the boat, they handed out hamburgers and drinks, but since I couldn't eat due to seasickness, they packed it up for me to take home. Although it was disappointing about the dolphins, it was great to see the whale and turtle up close.

I absolutely wanted to swim with dolphins, so I signed up for a tour. The boat ride wasn't too difficult, and I enjoyed the crew's performance on board. However, due to the rain the day before, the water clarity was poor, and it wasn't the bright blue sea I had hoped for with the dolphins! While searching for dolphins, I repeatedly prepared to jump in, but I was only able to see dolphins twice and couldn't swim with them. Unfortunately, I didn't see many fish at the snorkeling spot either. However, the water was not cold, and I could float comfortably. The special double burger on the boat was a lucky find! The excitement of seeing the dolphins was definitely there. I hope to swim with them next time. The hula was okay and somewhat interesting.

P.S. The boat does sway with the waves, so don't underestimate seasickness. I was fine since I'm used to it, but several people did get seasick. If you're participating, make sure to take motion sickness medication before boarding (^^).

The waves are high in winter, and even with taking motion sickness medication, I got seasick. I ended up feeling unwell before I could meet the dolphins, and in the end, I couldn't do anything. It was also very cold on the boat. Since we were on the boat for about three hours, it might be tough for those who are prone to seasickness. I did see a few dolphins, but it seemed quite difficult to swim with them on the day I participated. The staff members were all very nice and seemed to be having fun. Summer is said to have relatively calm waves, so I recommend participating in the summer.

We participated as a couple with our 5-year-old. Since we had a young child with us, when the staff instructed another staff member to swim with us, they clearly looked displeased. Seeing that made our spirits drop significantly, and our child became scared of the ocean, so we couldn't go in for a while.

At one point, when our child got tired and fell asleep, there was a photo session, and even though they said they would take pictures later, they completely forgot about it until the end. We left the hotel while it was still dark, and the weather was uncertain, but it turned out sunny and we were able to see two rainbows, which was great. The staff was great. The excursion was not very exciting I would have loved to spend more time with the dolphins but it seemed the staff was more into the whales. The captain was somewhat careless, my husband ended up on the floor. I would not do this excursion again.

I visited Hawaii for the first time and encountered some incredibly fun activities. My wife wasn't very confident in swimming and had some anxiety about snorkeling, but it was no problem at all. The staff were cheerful, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. It's a must for anyone who wants to swim with wild dolphins and be rejuvenated.

Thanks to the friendly staff, I was able to have a great time even though I participated alone.

I was truly happy to play with my favorite dolphins, but it seemed like there were fewer dolphins than usual??? Well, I guess that's just how it is with wild animals...

I was also moved to encounter other rare characters besides the dolphins!! Especially being able to see a humpback whale's tail up close and witnessing the relaxed姿 of the honu (sea turtle) underwater made for an amazing escape from reality, and I am very grateful for the wonderful memories I have kept in my heart♪

I was able to see dolphins, turtles, and beautiful fish, but it was very cold, perhaps because of the overcast sky. Everyone borrowed wetsuits, but especially when coming out of the water, there were several people, including myself, shivering. They lend you blankets, but since they get wet and don't cover your whole body, I ended up wearing a windbreaker and wrapping myself in a towel and blanket, looking like a rice ball. Depending on the weather, I think people who are sensitive to the cold might enjoy it more in a warmer season. However, the local staff were high-energy throughout, cheering us on with songs and dances. There were also three small children participating, and they were attentive to ensure they weren't scared, which showed their professionalism.

After getting back on land, there was a hula lesson in a nearby open space, but personally, I didn't think it was necessary. Free hula lessons can be experienced in various places, so if they were going to take so much time for the hula lesson, I think it would have been more enjoyable to have a longer free time for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle surfing. Since there was only one kayak and one paddleboard, it seemed like each person could only ride for about five minutes within the short time frame.

One last thing: since it was overcast the whole time, I ended up getting sunburned because I didn't reapply sunscreen. Regardless of the weather, it's better to reapply it multiple times.

無料のフラレッスンは結構いろんな場所で体験できるので、フラレッスンの時間をこんなにとるのなら、最後の自由時間（シュノーケル、カヤック、パドルサーフィン）をもっと長く取ってくれた方が楽しめたのではないかと思いました。カヤックもパドルサーフィンも１台ずつしかないので、短い時間内だと一人につき５分くらいしか乗れなかったようです。
最後にもう１つだけ。ずっと曇り空だったので、日焼け止めをつけなおししなかったらしっかり日焼けしてしまいました。天気に関係なく、何度も付け直しした方がよいですよ。

I recently participated in a tour with my sister. We were torn between a tour to meet trained dolphins, but we made the right choice with this one!

Since they are wild, there are rare occasions when you might not see them (by the way, the day before, they didn't see any dolphins but encountered a whale instead!). With excitement in our hearts, we set sail! Thanks to the cheerful crew, including our guide, we were able to meet the dolphins! Right below us, a family of dolphins was swimming! Even if you're not confident in your swimming skills, you'll be fine with a life jacket. You'll float, though (laughs). I highly recommend this experience to anyone who is unsure.

After the main event, there were plenty of fun activities, and before we knew it, half the day had flown by. It was a tour where you could truly feel the aloha spirit that loves nature.

Thank you to the dolphins, honu (turtles), fish, and the crew, especially our guide! I hope to participate again.

If you go to Hawaii, you absolutely have to take this tour! You can enjoy it no matter how many times you go! The staff is kind and entertaining, and you’ll create wonderful memories! You can also eat the famous malasadas from the morning, and I was wondering if I should buy the DVD, but when I watched it at home, I was really glad I did! You get to see photos that you wouldn’t be able to take yourself, so you can enjoy it twice as much. After departing by boat, we encountered dolphins almost immediately (around 20 minutes in?), and everyone hurriedly jumped into the sea. We put on floating devices like life jackets and jumped into the water, but it might be a bit tough for those who can't swim.

While battling seasickness from the boat and the waves after entering the water, we swam close to the dolphins several times (for about 30 minutes?), which was very hard, but it was incredibly moving to meet the dolphins in the sea. I thought I might not be able to encounter wild dolphins, but I was able to see a large number of them! It was incredibly moving! I am very satisfied to have had such a precious experience! The staff also seemed very dedicated to showing us as many dolphins as possible.

However, I was a bit disappointed with the hamburgers on the boat. The photos on the website show them being grilled on board, but in reality, they just handed out pre-made ones. Well, I guess it's to allow more time for enjoying the ocean, but that was a bit disappointing.

Even so, this optional tour was fantastic! I would love to participate again the next time I visit Oahu!

The hotel pick-up was at 6:00, so I rubbed my sleepy eyes and headed to the meeting point. They asked about the hotel location in advance, so they came close to the hotel.

The staff were very kind and high-energy! I was worried about feeling lonely since I was participating alone, but they made an effort to include me, so I didn't feel lonely at all. By the way, there were two other solo participants besides me.

As soon as we set sail, we saw a whale. However, it took a while for the dolphins to appear. Finally, we spotted them and were able to see them up close three times. Since it’s the birthing season, there were baby dolphins too.

During snorkeling, I was able to see turtles, various beautiful fish, and even rays.

On the way back, we saw two whales very close to us again.

It was full of experiences that you can't have in Japan, and I can't wait to brag about it to my family and friends when I get back.

This is definitely a tour you should join!!

ホテルには６：００のピックアップだったので、眠たい目をこすって集合場所へ。事前にホテルの場所を聞いてくれるのでホテルの近くまで来てくださいました。

スタッフのみなさんがとても親切でハイテンション！！私は一人参加だったのでさみしいかなって心配だったんですけど、輪に入れてくれようと気遣ってくださったので全然寂しくありませんでした。ちなみに一人参加の方は私以外に２人いらっしゃいました。

いざ出航してすぐにクジラがいました。だけどなかなかイルカは現れてくれません。やっと見つけて飛び込むこと３回とても近くにイルカを見ることができました。今は出産シーズンということで赤ちゃんのイルカもいました。

シュノーケリングではカメをみることができたし、いろんなきれいなさかな、そしてエイもみました。

帰りにはまたクジラがすごく近くに２頭も。

日本では経験できないことばっかりで、帰ったら家族や友達に自慢しちゃいます。

絶対参加してほしいツアーです！！

It has been a little while, but I participated in a dolphin swimming experience in Hawaii. The bright staff and their efficient service were great. There were a lot of people, and although we discovered a pod of dolphins, we found that entering the water late meant we missed out... That was a bit of a downside. While having a large group can be exciting, I felt that it might be better to have a bit of a limit on the number of participants. However, I would like to try the dolphin academy next time.

This was my first time going to Hawaii with my husband, and this time we booked activities online. The weather was nice on the day, but it was a bit chilly, and I wondered how it would go. However, the enthusiasm of the staff and the other participants made me forget the cold! The staff were very warm and friendly, and I was able to spend the whole time with a smile.

We got to see dolphins swimming, and we even encountered a whale! I had given up hope since it was still early in the season, so it was a surprise. I was so excited! It must be due to everyone's good deeds. The hamburgers for lunch were also really delicious, and the dance time was fun!

Thank you so much, Captain Ken, Avi, Kaina, and Kekoa! I would love to participate again next time with my whole family. It's snowing in Kobe. I miss the days spent in Hawaii! Staff, please take care of yourselves and give us another wonderful experience next time!

主人とハワイに行くのは初めてで　今回はネットを利用してアクてィビティーを予約させていただきました。
当日は天気はよいものの肌寒くて　どうなる事かと思いましたが、スタッフの皆さんや　参加されてる皆さんの熱気で　寒さも忘れるほどでした！！
