We participated as a family of three with our 6-year-old child. It was fun. The child was able to enjoy snorkeling, and there were many sea turtles, which was great. The view of Waikiki from the ocean was also nice. Above all, I liked the relaxed style of enjoying time on the water without any rush. You can drink alcohol, and the boat was very nice and spacious.

However, even though it was the peak season at the end of the year, I thought over $400 for three people was a bit high. The shuttle service at $30 per person seemed expensive. Moreover, it was supposed to depart from Waianae, but it actually left from a port just past Ala Moana. If that was the case, I could have just driven there myself.

Most participants were American, and the style was American as well. It felt friendly, cheerful, and laid-back. The shuttle time changed by 30 minutes without notice, and I only found out after calling. All the explanations on the boat were in English, and there was no special consideration just because we were Japanese. Therefore, I think those who cannot speak English at all might feel a bit confused. On the other hand, I believe this type of tour, with its American style, is suitable for those who do not particularly like the intense atmosphere of Japanese-style optional tours. I heard that there are Japanese staff on some days.

Since we are going abroad, I think it would be more interesting to participate in a tour like this, with American participants and style, rather than one that is mostly Japanese.

Also, I think it's better to take motion sickness medication. My wife felt seasick towards the end and had a tough time, even though she rarely gets motion sickness in cars.

子供も楽しくシュノーケル出来ましたし、海亀達も沢山いて楽しかったです。海から見るワイキキの景色も良かったです。
何より、あくせくせず、ゆったりと海の上の時間を自由に楽しむスタイルが良かったです。お酒も飲めるし、船はとても素敵で、ゆったりしてました。
たた、年末のピーク時期とは言え、3人で400ドル超は高いかなと
送迎が一人30ドルってのが高い。
しかも、ワイアナエ出航のはずが、アラモアナの先のすぐそばの港発になってましたからね。それなら自分で運転して行ったっつーの。

参加者の殆どはアメリカ人でしたし、スタイルもアメリカ式でした。
フレンドリー、陽気、自己責任、いいかげん。といった感じです。
送迎時間が勝手に30分変わってて、電話で聞いて始めて知る。とかね。
船内でも説明はすべて英語、日本人だからといって、特別に気を使われるわけではないです。
ですので、英語が全くできない方の場合、ちょっと戸惑うと思います。
逆に、日本式のオプショナルツアーの暑苦しい感じがあまり好きでない方には向いてると思います。
日によっては、日本人のスタッフもいるそうです。

せっかく海外に行くのですから、日本人ばかりいるオプショナルツアーに行くよりは、参加者もスタイルもアメリカ式のこういったツアーに参加した方が面白いかなと思います。

おと、酔い止めは飲んだ方が良いと思います。嫁さんは後半船酔いしてしまい辛くなっちゃいましたので。
車では滅多に酔わない程度の強さはあるのですが。

I stayed at Aulani in October. Although I was alone, there were staff members who spoke Japanese and provided thorough explanations, so I had no issues. I didn't get to see any dolphins, but I was able to see many sea turtles while snorkeling, and I enjoyed spending an hour in the ocean, which was great. For breakfast, I had pastries, and for lunch, I made sandwiches with bread, vegetables, cheese, and ham as I liked. Eating after snorkeling on the yacht was very delicious and satisfying. However, there was one issue. I happened to share the same last name with another group of Japanese guests, and it was mistakenly noted that I wasn't participating. After returning home, I contacted them, and they responded politely, which was good. When I go to Hawaii again in July next year, I would like to participate with my family.

Mandy & Ali were great guides during the entire excursion. We arrived at our destination to pick our food options and grab our snorkeling gear. No restroom on the boat so please go before getting on the boat! You can bring your own drink & snack on the boat since lunch won't be til afterwards. We swam w/ spinner dolphins at our 1st spot. It was so amazing to see the baby dolphins! We explored the reef at our 2nd spot, which had so many different kinds of fishes. Ali swam to us w/ a starfish & other things for pictures & even explained to us what we were holding. After this, they took us out to see the spotted dolphins (Hawaiian name "kiko"). There were sooo many of them riding our waves, swimming under the boat, & flipping in the air. It was so amazing to watch. They explained they were hunting & they hardly see these dolphins. Afterwards, you go back to eat lunch then head back to your hotel. This was the highlight of my trip & I plan to do this again when I come back!

This time, my 74-year-old mother joined us on the dolphin tour. At the snorkeling point, we were able to see sea turtles up close. There were also plenty of fish. There were two Japanese staff members on board who provided thorough explanations and kind assistance, allowing us to have a very enjoyable time. The lunch was delicious as well. On the way back to the port, we encountered dolphins! The dolphins chased the boat and seemed to be playing while swimming, which was very cute. If given the opportunity, I would definitely like to join this tour again.

今回は７４歳の母も一緒にイルカツアーに参加しました。シュノーケリングポイントではウミガメをとても近くで見ることができました。さかなもいっぱいいました。スタッフも日本人の方が２名乗船しており、丁寧な説明と親切な対応をしていただき、とても楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。ランチもおいしかったです。帰港途中でイルカにも遭遇！イルカがボートを追いかけてきて、遊びながら泳いでいる様で、とてもかわいかったです。機会があれば、是非、また参加したいツアーです。

The girls that took us out were great, they took us to our first location where we got the chance to swim with about 5-6 dolphins, then we moved on to the sea turtles, just great. On our return trip the girls took us back to our first location where there was now a pod of about 70 dolphins that we got to swim with. Just amazing. Thanks girls.

I participated in October 2011. I apologize for the old story. I was anxious about bringing my five-year-old twins, but thanks to Yuka (I wonder if she’s still there), everything was completely fine. The kids got so comfortable that they flew over to me while I was already in the sea. Having twins was no obstacle at all, and I’m very grateful.

I participated with a senior colleague from work. The staff were very friendly, and there was music playing on the boat, creating a fun atmosphere. I was expecting a BBQ on board, but it was just simple hamburgers, which was a bit disappointing. However, they were very delicious! Everyone had the chance to see dolphins and sea turtles, as we were able to enter the water twice at the designated points. The hula dancing was physically demanding, but I enjoyed the whole day. I think it would be a lot of fun to participate with a large group of friends.

This was awesome!!! We not only saw dolphins but we saw humpback whales at the end of their migration. They also took us to a reef where we snorkeled with a sea turtle and saw tons of tropical fish. The girls on the boat crew were awesome. Highly educated about the ocean environment and the sea creatures. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Hawaii vacation. Don't miss this activity. Especially if you can do it during the whale migration season. Also, Domingo, our shuttle driver that picked us up from the hotel was a great tour guide as well.

They pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the west side. They gear you up, they advise you not to touch or chase. You get on the water and if you're lucky, like us, you spot a pair of hump back whales. Then when they locate the dolphin herd, you get to swim among them for about an hour. Then you get to spend almost as much time over a reef, where you can swim with sea turtles and other fish. It was just terrific.

Then you get a decent sandwich and a drink, because you will be hungry after a full morning. Then they drive you back to Waikiki.

Excellent photo disk available to chronicle your trip, at a good price, if you wish. 400 photos of your trip + bonus file with great pics of dolphins, whales, and the area.

Only negative was no changing facility, public restrooms only. Also no bathroom on the boat so be prepared.

Definitely worth the price for this experience.

The distance to the dolphins was far, and the snorkeling experience to see the dolphins was quite short, lasting less than 10 minutes, which was disappointing. However, there was plenty of time for snorkeling with sea turtles after moving to another location, so I wish I could have seen the dolphins a bit longer.

The staff members were very kind.

Such an amazing experience! The staff were really helpful and friendly and knew a lot about the animals we would be seeing. We got to snorkel with a pod of dolphins for about an hour - an hour and a half, which was fantastic and then they took us to another snorkel reef spot where we saw about 5 sea turtles ! Would definitely recommend it !

On the way to see the dolphins, we were lucky enough to spot a whale. It's not often you get to see one so close. After that, we jumped into the sea where the dolphins were. We were able to see dolphins swimming in a group, but unfortunately, they were too deep, so it didn't feel like we were swimming with them. At the snorkeling spot, we were able to see a turtle. It swam quickly and dove down, so only a few people near the cameraman got to see it. When we returned to the boat, they handed out hamburgers and drinks, but since I couldn't eat due to seasickness, they packed it up for me to take home. Although it was disappointing about the dolphins, it was great to see the whale and turtle up close.

こんなに近くで見れるのはあんまりないということでラッキーでした。

I absolutely wanted to swim with dolphins, so I signed up for a tour. The boat ride wasn't too difficult, and I enjoyed the crew's performance on board. However, due to the rain the day before, the water clarity was poor, and it wasn't the bright blue sea I had hoped for with the dolphins! While searching for dolphins, I repeatedly prepared to jump in, but I was only able to see dolphins twice and couldn't swim with them. Unfortunately, I didn't see many fish at the snorkeling spot either. However, the water was not cold, and I could float comfortably. The special double burger on the boat was a lucky find! The excitement of seeing the dolphins was definitely there. I hope to swim with them next time. The hula was okay and somewhat interesting.

P.S. The boat does sway with the waves, so don't underestimate seasickness. I was fine since I'm used to it, but several people did get seasick. If you're participating, make sure to take motion sickness medication before boarding (^^).

次回は一緒に泳げればと思います。
フラはまあまあ、おもしろかったです。

船は波を受け揺れるものです。船酔いを甘く見ないほうがいいです。私はなれているので大丈夫でしたが、船酔いした方が何人もいらっしゃいました。参加する方は酔い止めを服用してから乗船しましょう（＾＾）

The waves are high in winter, and even with taking motion sickness medication, I got seasick. I ended up feeling unwell before I could meet the dolphins, and in the end, I couldn't do anything. It was also very cold on the boat. Since we were on the boat for about three hours, it might be tough for those who are prone to seasickness. I did see a few dolphins, but it seemed quite difficult to swim with them on the day I participated. The staff members were all very nice and seemed to be having fun. Summer is said to have relatively calm waves, so I recommend participating in the summer.

The staff was great. The excursion was not very exciting I would have loved to spend more time with the dolphins but it seemed the staff was more into the whales. The captain was somewhat careless, my husband ended up on the floor. I would not do this excursion again.

Thank you for your support at the end of last year.

Thanks to the friendly staff, I was able to have a great time even though I participated alone.

I was truly happy to play with my favorite dolphins, but it seemed like there were fewer dolphins than usual??? Well, I guess that's just how it is with wild animals...

I was also moved to encounter other rare characters besides the dolphins!! Especially being able to see a humpback whale's tail up close and witnessing the relaxed姿 of the honu (sea turtle) underwater made for an amazing escape from reality, and I am very grateful for the wonderful memories I have kept in my heart♪

This was my tenth trip to Hawaii, and it was my first time participating in this tour. With the theme of memories over material things, I joined this tour to swim with dolphins. I was able to see dolphins, turtles, and beautiful fish, but it was very cold, perhaps because of the overcast sky. Everyone borrowed wetsuits, but especially when coming out of the water, there were several people, including myself, shivering. They lend you blankets, but since they get wet and don't cover your whole body, I ended up wearing a windbreaker and wrapping myself in a towel and blanket, looking like a rice ball. Depending on the weather, I think people who are sensitive to the cold might enjoy it more in a warmer season. However, the local staff were high-energy throughout, cheering us on with songs and dances. There were also three small children participating, and they were attentive to ensure they weren't scared, which showed their professionalism.

After getting back on land, there was a hula lesson in a nearby open space, but personally, I didn't think it was necessary. Free hula lessons can be experienced in various places, so if they were going to take so much time for the hula lesson, I think it would have been more enjoyable to have a longer free time for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle surfing. Since there was only one kayak and one paddleboard, it seemed like each person could only ride for about five minutes within the short time frame.

One last thing: since it was overcast the whole time, I ended up getting sunburned because I didn't reapply sunscreen. Regardless of the weather, it's better to reapply it multiple times.

いるかにも亀にもきれいなお魚たちにもあえましたが、ずっと曇り空だったせいか寒くて寒くて…。全員ウエットスーツを借りていましたが、特に海からあがると、私を含めがたがたと震えている人が何人もいました。毛布を貸してくれますが、濡れるし体全体を包めるわけではないので、私はウィンドブレーカーを着てタオルと毛布をまきつけて、おむすび状態になっていました。天候によるでしょうが、寒がりの人はもう少し暖かい季節を選んだほうが楽しめるかと思います。ただ、現地のスタッフさんは終始ハイテンションで、歌や踊りで盛り上げてくれて、また、小さいお子さんが3人も参加していましたが、怖がらないように色々気を配っていて、プロ意識を感じました。陸にあがってから、少し離れた空き地でフラレッスンがありましたが、私的にはいらなかったかな。
無料のフラレッスンは結構いろんな場所で体験できるので、フラレッスンの時間をこんなにとるのなら、最後の自由時間（シュノーケル、カヤック、パドルサーフィン）をもっと長く取ってくれた方が楽しめたのではないかと思いました。カヤックもパドルサーフィンも１台ずつしかないので、短い時間内だと一人につき５分くらいしか乗れなかったようです。
最後にもう１つだけ。ずっと曇り空だったので、日焼け止めをつけなおししなかったらしっかり日焼けしてしまいました。天気に関係なく、何度も付け直しした方がよいですよ。

After departing by boat, we encountered dolphins almost immediately (around 20 minutes in?), and everyone hurriedly jumped into the sea. We put on floating devices like life jackets and jumped into the water, but it might be a bit tough for those who can't swim.

While battling seasickness from the boat and the waves after entering the water, we swam close to the dolphins several times (for about 30 minutes?), which was very hard, but it was incredibly moving to meet the dolphins in the sea. In my case, I was a bit far away, so unfortunately, I couldn't quite feel like I was swimming with them.

After that, we moved by boat to another spot to see sea turtles. We were able to swim close enough to touch the sea turtles if we reached out, making it a very satisfying tour.

Finally, I wanted to mention some highlights of this tour for those who are unsure about which tour to choose:

船で出発後、すぐに（20分ぐらい？）イルカと遭遇し、みんなあわてて海へ飛び込みました。
ライフジャケットのような水に浮くものを装着して海の中に飛び込みますが、泳げない人はちょっと厳しいかもしれません。。。
船上での酔いと海に入ってからの波での酔いと戦いながら、イルカの近くまで何度も泳いだので（30分ぐらい？）とてもハードでしたが、イルカと海の中で会えて、とても感動しました。
私の場合は少し距離があったので、残念ながら一緒に泳いだ感覚にはなれませんでしたが。。。
その後、別のポイントまで船で移動しウミガメを見に行きました。
ウミガメとは手を伸ばせば触れるぐらい近くを泳ぐことができ、大満足なツアーでした^^
