As soon as we were picked up, we were greeted by energetic staff, which felt great. On the bus to the site, there was very clear explanation, making us fully prepared for participation (like how to interact with wild dolphins and sea turtles). At the end, we were advised to rent wetsuits. Even though it was said to be warm, the seawater looked cold, so we rented them (at $10 each), and it turned out to be a great decision.

As soon as we arrived at the port, we boarded the boat and started preparing, and the dolphin search began right away. Sometimes they find dolphins within five minutes, but we took about 30 minutes to reach the North Shore without spotting any. The wind was really strong, so please make sure to bring something to wear over your clothes. A bath towel won't be warm enough. When a pod of dolphins is spotted, the instructor will tell you to get ready to jump in, so please head to the back entry point as much as possible. And try to stay close to the instructor! If you can keep up, there's a high chance you'll swim with the dolphins. My husband and I were able to swim close enough to touch them (but definitely don't touch!). It was truly a precious experience. Also, being able to canoe while enjoying the magnificent nature of the North Shore was fantastic. The canoeing time was a bit short, but it was really great. I highly recommend canoeing! Along the way, a sea turtle popped its head up, making for a very fulfilling tour.

港に到着してすぐに船に乗り込み着々と準備をして早速イルカ探しが始まります。早い時は開始５分で見つかるみたいですが、私達はなかなか見つからずノースショアの方まで３０分くらい進みました。風がすごい強いので絶対に羽織るものを持っててください。バスタオルじゃ寒いですよ。イルカの群れを見つけるとインストラクターが飛び込む準備を！と言われるのでなるべく後ろの飛び込み口に行ってください。そしてなるべくインストラクターの近くに！ついていければ高確率でイルカと泳げると思います。私たち夫婦は触れるぐらい近くで（触っちゃ絶対ダメ）イルカと泳ぐことができました。本当に貴重な体験でした。またノースショアの壮大な自然を見ながらのカヌーができたことも最高でした。ちょっとカヌーの時間が短かったですが本当に良かったです。カヌーオススメです！途中ウミガメが顔を出してくれてとても充実したツアーでした。

We participated as a couple because we could see dolphins up close. It was very early in the morning, but our guide, Julie, was so entertaining that we didn't feel sleepy on the bus and had a great time. It was June, but the temperature was low, so everyone borrowed wetsuits (for $10). Also, some people felt sick on the boat, so motion sickness medication is a must!!

As soon as we got on the boat, we could see many dolphins jumping. At the same time, everyone jumped into the sea! During the first swim with the dolphins, those who were unsure of their swimming abilities were allowed to go in first. Because I was nervous about swimming, I was able to go in first and see the dolphins up close!! During the second swim, I couldn't get to the front and was at the back, so I couldn't see the dolphins at all. I'm glad I got to see them during the first swim. If you're slow at swimming or at the back, you won't see the dolphins at all.

What got me even more excited than the dolphins was snorkeling. I was truly moved to see various kinds of fish up close. The cheeseburger and snacks we had for lunch tasted ordinary, but they felt really delicious because we were tired, haha.

The staff were kind and many of them were fun. However, since there were 17 groups, I thought it might have been a bit too crowded. The hula dance was fun, but from the back, it was hard to see what was being danced because there were too many people. I also couldn't see the turtles very well. However, swimming with dolphins and snorkeling are experiences you don't get often, so I think it's worth participating at least once!

二回目のイルカと泳ぐ際は、前の方に行けず後ろにいた為、イルカは全く見えなかったので、一回目で初めに見せてもらえてよかったです。泳ぎが遅かったり、後ろの方にいるとイルカは全然見えません。

イルカ以上にテンションが上がったのが、シュノーケルです。いろんな種類のお魚が間近で見れて、本当に感動しました。
お昼に食べたチーズバーガーとスナックは、普通の味ですが疲れてるのもありとても美味しく感じました笑

スタッフの人も優しくて、楽しい方が多かったです。しかし17組もいた為、少し人数が多すぎかな？と思いました。
フラダンスも、楽しかったのですが後ろの方だと人数が多すぎて、何を踊ってるのかがよく見えませんでした。カメもあまり見えなかったです。
ただ、シュノーケルやイルカと泳ぐのはなかなかない機会なので、一度は参加したほうがいいと思います！

It's best to buy food in advance since mornings are early. I've heard that being hungry can make you more prone to seasickness.

During the bus ride, we received explanations, and as soon as we arrived at the port, we headed out to sea. According to the guide, if we depart late, we might have to wait if other tours are ahead, which reduces our chances to try again and meet dolphins. In that regard, Dolphin Academy has an advantage because of its smaller group size, allowing for quicker departures compared to the university. On the other hand, families can relax more, so the university is recommended for them.

The weather was clear, and although it was May, we didn't wear wetsuits and it wasn't particularly cold. Not everyone borrowed one this time, but it seemed to be fine. However, it can get chilly when the wind hits you after getting wet, so I recommend having a bag ready with a bath towel and a jacket.

Due to rain the previous night, the water clarity was a bit low, but we were able to see dolphins. About 5-6 dolphins swam about 10 meters away from us. I brought a camera, but it was quite difficult to get good shots. Fortunately, a professional photographer was there, and you can get photos for about $50. 昨晩雨が降ったせいで透明度は少し低かったですが、無事イルカを見ることができました。大体5-6匹で10m先を泳いでいました。ただしカメラはもっていきましたが、きれいに映すのはかなりむずかしいです。そこについてはプロのカメラマンがついてくれるので、写真自体は50＄ほどでもらうことが可能です。
イルカを見れた興奮のあまり、気づかない間に結婚指輪を落としてしまいカメラマンさんが拾ってくれなかったら大変なことになっていたので、指輪等はあらかじめ外しておくことをお勧めします。

イルカの後は少し浅瀬に移動してカメやさかなをみられました。こちらは泳ぎに自信がある人はライフジャケットを外してもよいとのことでした。
カメは息を吸うときしか水面に上がってきませんが、この日は運よく何回も間近でカメを見ることができました。

一息ついたところでスープとスニッカーズ的な奴とパイナップルを配ってくれます。特にパイナップルは甘くておいしいのでおすすめ。

シュノーケリングと言っても、潜水などは必要なく基本的に浮いているだけなので未経験者も心配ないです。
注意点としては、更衣室等はないので濡れてもいい上着とパンツを持ってきておくことをおすすめします。

総評としてはイルカもカメも見れて、午前中で終わるので午後は買い物など違うことができるし、日本ガイドなので英語ができなくても安心で非常に良かったです。

It was my first trip to Hawaii, and I wanted to see dolphins and sea turtles, so I signed up for this tour. 出発してから間も無く、イルカに出会えるスポットに到着！こんなに早くたくさんのイルカに出会えるのは珍しいとガイドさんも言っていましたが、かなりたくさんのイルカの群れに出会えました。また同時にウミガメも近くで泳いでおり、すごく感動しました！本当に可愛かったです！
この日は波が高く、ボート？で遊ぶ予定が急遽中止になってしまい残念でしたが、十分に楽しめました！

Since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the pickup location was in front of the Ilikai Hotel next to the Hilton. It's easy to find as it's also a trolley stop.

A little earlier than the scheduled time, a small yellow bus, resembling a school bus, arrived. We boarded this bus and headed to the west coast, taking about an hour from Honolulu.

To quickly get out to sea from the harbor, the staff member on the bus provided us with important information and instructions. Although it was early in the morning, there was no time to sleep on the bus.

Regarding equipment, since the water is cold and those who are not good swimmers might find it easier to float in a wetsuit, we rented one for $10. Most of the tour participants rented wetsuits as well.

群れの泳ぐ方向へ先回りして船でスタンバイ。イルカの背鰭が見えてきたら合図と共にみんなで一斉に海へ飛び込みます。

私はシュノーケリングをこんなに沖でやるのは初めて。しかも、泳ぎも不得意。

飛び込む前までは凄く怖かったのですが。。。

全く問題ありませんでした！！

お姉さんの話をよく聞いて落ち着いてその通りに動けば何も心配はいりません。
使ったシュノーケリングの器具もよかったのか、目や口に水が入ってくることもありませんでした。

「真下を見てー！」というお姉さんの声で下を覗きこむと何匹ものイルカの群れが泳いでいるのが見れました！！

この日は4回トライし、4回ともイルカを見ることができました。しかも、水の濁りも少ないポイントで待ち伏せてくれた船長の腕は確かなものです。さすがレジェンド。

4回目にいたっては手が届きそうなほど間近で見ることができました。
シュノーケリング中は気づかなかったのですが、後で防水カメラのムービーを見返したら、なんとイルカの鳴き声まで収録されていてビックリ。
野生のイルカの生活を覗かせてもらうことができた本当に貴重な経験でした。

ちなみに、この日は風が強かったため海が濁っているということで浅瀬でのシュノーケリングは無しでした。
浅瀬でのシュノーケリングをメインで考えられている方は、日によっては無くなるケースがあることも想定しておいた方がいいかもしれません。

最後に船にもどりフルーツと温かい紅茶をいただいて、残りの軽食（菓子パン・ジュース・チーズ・グラノーラバー）はバスに戻ってからいただきました。
帰りのバスでプロの写真の方が撮影した写真データの販売案内があります。写真を購入したのですが、レクチャー中の風景や当日に見たイルカの写真までとってもきれいに獲れていました。

あと、個人的にはハワイアンスピナードルフィンの生態や生息数、ハワイアンとイルカの関わりなどについてもっと詳しい話が聞ければもっと嬉しかったです。

初めてだけどイルカと一緒に泳ぎたいという方には本当にとてもいいアクティビティーだと思います。貴重な経験をありがとうございました。

I had almost no experience with snorkeling, but I wanted to see dolphins up close, so I participated alone. Despite my age and the fact that I usually only do desk work, I was a bit worried about my physical fitness, but being optimistic by nature, I joined in on a whim, and it was really great. I felt so moved!! It became the best memory of my trip to Hawaii. I also think that being able to speak Japanese helped me participate with peace of mind. We were picked up at the designated hotel and off we went to West Oahu! During the drive, our guide Julie kept the atmosphere lively with stories about Hawaii and dolphins, and before we knew it, we had arrived! We boarded the boat and set sail to see the dolphins! I had heard that the chance of seeing them was 90 percent, but there was a thrilling tension about whether we would actually see them. The staff worked hard to find a pod of dolphins, and we were able to swim close to wild dolphins!

After that, we enjoyed our time with activities like stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, and snorkeling! For lunch, we had homemade cheeseburgers, and we also got to enjoy sweet cut pineapple☆ Finally, we all came together for a hula dance with the staff and all the tour participants! It was a wonderful moment of unity☆ I have visited Hawaii many times, but I have never experienced such an emotional moment! This is a tour I would recommend to friends and family! On my third trip to Hawaii, I finally participated in the long-awaited dolphin tour. I was thrilled to encounter a large group of dolphins right after we set sail. It was truly exciting to see them, as it all depends on luck.

As for the tour details, we took a dedicated bus early in the morning and learned about Hawaii and dolphins for about an hour until we reached our destination. After that, we got on the boat and prayed in Hawaiian to see the dolphins. Once we spotted them, we dove right in, moved to different locations for snorkeling and marine sports, and had lunch on the boat. It was quite packed with activities.

However, with so many participants, everything felt like a conveyor belt. It was more about seeing the dolphins underwater than swimming with them, which was different from what I had expected.

They didn’t teach us how to swim or anything. They only signaled us to look underwater when the dolphins came.

It was disappointing, considering how many dolphins we saw.

At the snorkeling point, they were feeding the fish, which was shocking for me as a diver. However, the participants were excited because a honu came close and there were plenty of fish.

The view from the boat was uniquely Hawaiian and very nice.

The burgers and juice for lunch were not tasty, but the warm tea was good.

The return bus ride felt very commercial. It created an atmosphere for buying photos, which were expensive.

Overall, while the schedule was sufficient, the content felt like a conveyor belt, which was disappointing. It might have been better with fewer participants. Paying $150 per person for this is high. I won’t participate again.

ツアーの内容としては
早朝から専用のバスに乗って、一時間ほど目的地につくまでハワイやイルカについて教えていただき
そのあと船にのってイルカにあえるようハワイ語で祈ります。
イルカを見つけたらそのままダイブ
場所を移動しシュノーケルとマリンスポーツ
船の上で昼食
と盛りだくさんでした。

でも、参加人数が多く全てが流れ作業
イルカと泳ぐというよりかは、水中でイルカを見るといった感じで思ってた感じとは違うかな～

泳ぎ方など一切教えてくれません
イルカが来たら水中を見ることだけ合図で教えてくれます。

あんなにたくさんのイルカに会えたのに残念。

シュノーケルポイントは魚にエサを与えていたので、ダイバーとしてはショックでした。
ホヌが近くまで来て魚もたくさんいたので参加者のみなさん興奮してました。

ボートから見る景色はハワイならでわでとてもよかったです。

昼食のバーガーとジュースはおいしくないです。
あったかいお茶は美味しかった。

帰りのバスは営業感満載でした。
写真を買う雰囲気にさせます。
高いです。

全体的に、スケジュールは充分なのに内容は流れ作業で残念。
少人数だったらよかったかな。
これで１人150ドルは高いです。
もぅ参加はしないです。

イルカに会えたし楽しい雰囲気を作ってくれるのに少し残念。

I was able to see dolphins perfectly in the beautiful, crystal-clear sea like a pool! The staff dove in and took pictures of sea turtles with my waterproof camera. It's a memory I'll cherish for a lifetime. Thank you! The staff were kind and cheerful, and everyone was happy to take commemorative photos. The dolphin plush toys they gave as souvenirs to the kids were so cute that I want to participate again when I have children! (laughs)

We boarded the boat at the port and set sail. On the day I went, I was very lucky and was able to see a pod of dolphins about ten minutes after leaving the port, and I also spotted two turtles. When we found the dolphins, we went ahead, and at the captain's signal, we jumped into the sea. The water was incredibly clear, and you could see the bottom. Watching the dolphins swim effortlessly right next to us was truly beautiful, and I couldn't take my eyes off them. 港でボートに乗りいざ出航。私が行った日は、とても運がよく、港を出て１０分ほどでイルカの群れに会うことができ、カメも２匹は見ることができました。イルカの群れを見つけたら、先回りして、船長の合図で海に飛び込みます。海はすごくきれいで、底が見えるほどでした。自分たちがいるところのすぐそばをイルカがすいすい泳いでいく様子は、本当にきれいで、目が離せませんでした。また新たなイルカの群れを見つけたら、一緒に潜っているインストラクターが「山のほう」「沖のほう」と指示を出してくれ、そちらに泳ぎます。しばらく泳いだらボートに上がり、また違うポイントで海に入って泳ぎ…を繰り返しました。説明によると、なかなかイルカの群れに会えず、もっと長い時間泳ぐこともあるそうです。体力がない人にはそれは大変だなぁと思いました。すぐ見れてよかった。
港からボートに乗りまた港に帰ってくるまで、ずっとカメラマンさんがいてくれます。ちょこちょこ記念撮影をしてくれ、イルカやカメの写真もとてもきれいに撮ってくれています。帰りのバスで、写真購入の案内をしてくれるので、ツアー中は無理に自分たちで写真を撮らなくても大丈夫だと思いました。
海から上がったときには、クッキーバーやチーズを用意してくれていますが、寒いので温かいお茶が一番おいしかったです。５月末でしたが、ウェットスーツを着用してよかったです。海から上がったあと、ボートで移動するときは濡れた体に風が当たり、寒くなると思うので…。
全体的には大満足のツアーでした。スタッフの皆さん、本当にありがとうございました。

I participated with ten colleagues. While I slightly regretted not choosing the ranch tour instead of the dolphin cruise, it turned out to be the right choice.

Waking up early was tough, but I took motion sickness medication and wore a seasickness wristband (which I bought on the bus for $20, thinking it would be worth it if I could use it multiple times), and I felt great. The weather was nice, and we encountered dolphins early on. Although they sometimes swim away, they came quite close, allowing us to see them well. After that, we were able to swim near a large turtle, which was an amazing experience.

Before swimming, we sang a song to pray for safety and threw flowers together. The crew's singing and Hawaiian dance were also great, and the hamburgers and chips we had on the boat were delicious. I found the chips at the airport on the way back and bought some as souvenirs.

On the last day, I arranged to meet with one of the crew members, Mai, to experience yoga in the park. I definitely want to go back to Hawaii to see the dolphins again. I highly recommend it!

　仕事仲間１０人で参加しました。牧場ツアーとドルフィンクルーズのどちらかを選ぶ時に牧場にすれば良かったかなと少々、後悔しながらの参加でしたが、こちらにして正解でした。
　朝早いのは辛かったのですが、酔い止め薬も飲み、船酔いのリストバンド（２０ドル、何回でも使えるなら良いかと思ってバスで購入）も良かったのか体調もばっちりで、お天気も良く、早い段階でイルカに遭遇でき、逃げてしまう事もあるそうですが、近寄ってくるぐらい近くまできて、しっかり見ることができました。その後、大きな亀さんとも蹴ってしまいそうなぐらい近くで泳ぐ事もでき、本当に良い体験ができました。
　泳ぐ前に無事を祈る歌を歌ってお花をみんなで投げたり、クルーの方の歌やハワイアンダンスも良かったし、船の上で食べたハンバーガーもチップスも美味しくて、チップスは帰りに空港で見つけて、お土産に買って帰りました。
　クルーの一人のmaiさんとは、最終日にヨガの待ち合わせをして、公園でヨガも体験する事ができました。
　また、ハワイに行ったら、イルカに会いに行きたいと思います。本当にお薦めです。

The main event we had planned for the last day of our stay in Hawaii. We gathered at a nearby hotel at 6:20 AM. I thought I would sleep on the bus, but staff member Julie kept the atmosphere lively with stories about Hawaii and dolphins, so I couldn't sleep at all. (laughs)

On the bus, they provide information about the day's schedule and tips for swimming with dolphins, so I recommend staying awake and listening intently.

As we approached the ocean, we were asked about renting wetsuits. The rental fee was $10, and all the women borrowed one. I had a desire to get a tan, so I didn't rent a wetsuit, but surprisingly, the sea breeze on the boat was strong, and the seawater wasn't that warm offshore, so I thought it might have been better to rent one.

Once we arrived at the port and changed into our swimsuits, we set off! We departed with about 25 participants and a crew of four, including the captain. Cruising with the wild mountains of Hawaii in the background while feeling the wind was incredibly pleasant—pure bliss. Just this alone was refreshing.

港に着き、水着になったらいざ出発！25名ほどの参加者と、キャプテンをはじめとするクルー4名と共に出航です。
ハワイの野性味あふれる山々をバックに風を感じながらのクルージング。すごく気持ちよく、至福の一言。これだけでも、爽快です。
様々なコースがあるようですが、まずは北上し、イルカを全員で探します。15分ほど探しましたが、見つからない為、南下してみることに。他のツアー船からの情報も参考に、探すこと40分ほど、、、ついにイルカの大群とご対面！
慌ただしくなる船上！私も急いでライフジャケットとシュノーケルをセット。キャプテンのGO!という合図に参加者全員が海へダイブ。その瞬間、30頭位のイルカの群れが私たちに近づき、真下を通過していきました。
思わず、うぉ〜！と水中で叫んでしまいました。
その後は旋回するイルカの進路を予想しながら、先回りを試み、ハードに泳ぎます。普段運動している私でもかなりハードでしたが、先回りしないとイルカには会えないので、皆さん一心不乱に泳いでいました。
幸いにも、何度かイルカの大群と泳ぐことができ、心身ともに大満足で船に戻りました。
野生のイルカと海の中で出会った感動はなかなか味わうことが出来ないので、ツアーに参加出来て本当に良かったです。
港に戻り、着替えて帰路に着いたのですが、帰りの車内は、疲労困憊のせいもあり皆さん爆睡でした。（笑）
車内は少し冷えるので、暖かい格好でおかえりください。
クルージング気分あり、イルカとのご対面あり、楽しいスタッフの皆さんあり、大満足のハワイ最終日となりました。スタッフの皆さんありがとうございました！

Following reviews, it was a great decision to have breakfast beforehand. The weather was wonderful, and the breeze was pleasant, allowing us to participate without getting seasick.

On the bus ride there, there was so much explanation until we arrived that I couldn't sleep! (laughs) I participated in May, and it was a bit chilly, so I rented a wetsuit. The sea was quite cold, and even with the wetsuit, I felt cold.

About 20 minutes after departure, we spotted wild dolphins near Aulani! There were nearly 50 in the pod. When we signaled to dive, I could hear their squeaks underwater. From that point on, it was a dolphin parade! Every time I heard a squeak, I looked around, and there was a dolphin right below me! It was so moving! I even saw a baby dolphin, and I could clearly see the color of their skin!

After that, we headed to a turtle spot, but unfortunately, we didn't see any... Instead, we encountered dolphins again. (laughs)

I made one basic mistake… (T_T) Before diving into the sea, the battery of my waterproof camera died… What a shock!!

It seems that swimming with dolphins is already banned on some islands in Hawaii, and it's only a matter of time for Oahu as well. It's a very valuable experience, so I highly recommend it! And when I go to Hawaii again, I will go back to graduate from middle school once more! Thank you very much.

う。合図で潜ると、海の中でキューキュー鳴く声が聞こえました。
そこからはもう、イルカのオンパレードでした。キューキュー聞こえる度にキョロ
キョロしていると、イルカが真下に！とても感動です！
イルカの赤ちゃんも見れ、イルカの肌の色までクッキリ見えましたよ♪

その後はウミガメ スポットへ向かいましたが、残念ながら会えず・・・
代わりにまたまたイルカに会えました。笑

1つ、初歩的なミスを…(T_T)海に潜る前に、防水デジカメの充電が切れました…ショック！！

ハワイでは既にイルカと泳ぐ行為が禁止の島もあるようで、オアフ島も時間の問題
だそうです。
とても貴重な体験が出来るので、とてもオススメです！
そして、またハワイに行った際はもう１度中学を卒業しに行きます♪

I had always dreamed of swimming in a sea with dolphins, so I decided to enroll in Dolphin University, which offers many activities.

The meeting time was early, just past 6 AM, and while I felt a bit sleepy, I was excited.

On the bus, the Japanese staff provided explanations in Japanese about safety precautions in case of emergencies and how to use the snorkeling masks, which was reassuring.

I also learned how to deal with seasickness, and then we set sail! The sea breeze was cold during the ride, so I recommend bringing a jacket. Also, since the boat gets quite wet, it's essential to either bring a bag that can get wet or waterproof gear.

The sea was truly beautiful, with incredibly high visibility underwater! We set off on the boat and performed a ceremony to pray for the safety of E Ho Mai, releasing plumeria flowers into the sea. It was a blessed day with perfect weather. We encountered a lot of dolphins unexpectedly. I had heard that seeing wild dolphins depends on luck, but I was fortunate. I am grateful for such a wonderful day, and I even got to see a sea turtle.

Snorkeling was thrilling as I saw many beautiful fish.

The staff entertained us by diving and making bubble rings. On the way back to the boat harbor, we enjoyed hamburgers, snacks, and drinks. It seemed that the equipment was malfunctioning that day, so we didn't have hula, but it was still very fulfilling.

I received a bag as a substitute for a diploma and headed home. It was truly a fun time. Ahalo!

集合時間が６時過ぎと早く、眠いな～と思いつつも楽しみでした。

バスの中では日本人スタッフから非常時の際の注意事項や、シュノーケルマスクの使い方などを日本語で説明を受けるので安心でした。

船酔いの対処方法も聞きいざ出港！！移動中海風が寒いので上着をオススメですね。後は、船の中は水びたしになるので、濡れてもいいバックでいくか、防水グッズは必須です。

海は本当にキレイでした。海の中も透明度がものすごく高い！ボートで出発してE Ho Maiの安全を祈る儀式でプルメリアを海に。
この日は本当に恵まれた日で、天気は最高。
イルカもいきなり沢山遭遇しました。
野生のイルカなのでその辺は運次第ときいていましたが幸運でした。
恵まれた日で感謝です。海カメまで見れました。
シュノーケルはたくさんのキレイな魚が見れて興奮。

スタッフさんが潜ってバブルリング作って見せてくれたりと、盛り上げてくれます。
ボートハーバーに戻る間にハンバーガーとスナック＆ドリンクを頂き、この日は機械の調子が悪かったようでフラはなくなりましたが、とても充実していました。

First time doing this. Thoroughly enjoyed it between the dolphins and turtle. I found a turtle by my lonesome, shared with everyone, but I guess there was more action somewhere else. I swam with the turtle as it slowly rose up to surface to get a breathe of air that took no more than one second. Then it went on its way. I don't have pictures of that experience to share, but I did have a go pro recording the whole time. So I have that to take with me the rest of my life.
Needs to said, there is a catch. If you want more interaction with mammal sea life, there is another activity that gets your first hand, up close and personal. However you are in a control environment. Whereas this activity is in the ocean; wildlife, so more than dolphins and turtles to experience(depending on the time of year too).

If I am allowed to edit this post, and also allow to post a hyperlink to a YouTube video, I will post that turtle swim.

Swimming with dolphins in the ocean has always been my dream, so I enrolled in a university with many activities after debating between middle school and university. The meeting time is early at 6 AM. I've heard that dolphins are still sleepy at that time!

They say Hawaiians are laid-back with time, but the tour bus is punctual, so I think it's best to gather at least 10 minutes before the meeting time. On the bus, we watch an English DVD about safety precautions and how to use the snorkeling mask, but we receive explanations in Japanese later, which is reassuring.

Follow the rules and enjoy the activities! For ocean activities, I recommend wearing a jacket because it can get chilly with the sea breeze while moving on the boat. Also, the boat can get wet, so bring a bag that you don’t mind getting wet or waterproof gear.

The coastline to Waianae is truly beautiful, and the water is very clear! We set off on the boat and performed a ceremony for safety, offering plumeria flowers to the sea. It was a blessed day with perfect weather. We saw so many dolphins on our second try. After being in the water for a while, we watched excited dolphins swimming around us repeatedly. Since they are wild dolphins, it’s all about luck. I’m grateful for such a fortunate day, and we even saw a turtle.

While snorkeling, I saw many beautiful fish. I took off my life jacket and swam among the fish! The staff dove in and made bubble rings, adding to the excitement. I chose this university because of the long duration and the opportunity to do SUP. I managed to stand up!

On the way back to the boat harbor, we had hamburgers and drinks. It seemed like the equipment was having some issues that day, but there was still hula. Upon arriving at the port, we wanted to do some sightseeing on the west coast, so we disbanded locally. We received eco-bags as a substitute for diplomas and, with permission, disbanded locally. After that, we took The Bus to Mermaid Cave.

The staff advised us to be careful due to safety concerns. Thank you for your consideration! This university is the best! I would love to participate again when I come back to Hawaii. It was the best activity I participated in! Mahalo!

集合時間が６時と早いです。イルカが寝ぼけてるうちに、と何かで聞いたことがあります！
Hawaiianは時間にルーズだと言いますが、ツアーバスは時間厳守で迎えに来て頂けるので、集合時間10分前には集まっていた方が良いと思います。

海のアクティビティは船移動中海風が寒いので上着をオススメ！後は、船の中は水びたしになるので、濡れてもいいバックでいくか、防水グッズをお忘れなく。
Waianaeまでの海岸線は本当にキレイです。海の中も透明度が高い！ボートで出発してE Ho Maiの安全を祈る儀式でプルメリアを海に。
この日は本当に恵まれた日で、天気は最高。
イルカも２回目のトライにはたーくさん。しばらく海に入って何回も私たちの下を泳いでいくのを見て、興奮したイルカ達が回りを何回もグルグル泳いでいてくれました。
野生のイルカなのでその辺は運次第。
恵まれた日で感謝です。カメまで見れました。
シュノーケルはたくさんのキレイな魚が見れました。
ライフジャケットを脱いで潜って魚の中を泳ぐ！
スタッフさんが潜ってバブルリング作って見せてくれたりと、盛り上げてくれます。
大学を選んだのは時間が長いのと、SUPができるから。

ボートハーバーに戻る間にハンバーガーとドリンク頂き、この日は機械の調子が悪かったようですがフラがあります。
港につき、私たちは西海岸観光がしたかったので現地解散。卒業証書かわりのエコバッグを頂いて、許可を得た上で私たちだけ現地解散。その後THe BusでMermaid Cave に。
スタッフの方には治安が悪いので気をつけるようによく言われました。

We gathered at Hilton at 6 AM, and they seemed to have picked us up about 10 minutes earlier. When we went, the order of pickups was Prince → Hilton → Sheraton.

After about an hour's drive, we arrived at Waianae Harbor. We were supposed to board a medium-sized boat and head out, but on that day, we were lucky enough to encounter dolphins in the shallows.

As we spotted dolphins in the distance, we hurried to get ready and jumped into the water. For those who can't swim or aren't very comfortable in the ocean, falling from the boat might be a bit scary. Hang in there!

After floating for a while, a pod of dolphins came by at intervals. The sea was very clear that day, and we could see them much more clearly than the last time we saw them. The dolphins would swim away and then come back or get close to us; it was truly a lucky day.

After saying goodbye to the dolphins and getting back on the boat, it was time for turtle snorkeling! Previously, we had seen two turtles of different sizes swimming together, but this time we only saw one medium-sized turtle. Two participants even touched the turtle, which was surprising...

After enjoying about 15 minutes of that, we split into those who would continue with stand-up paddleboarding & boating and those who would continue snorkeling. Since stand-up paddleboarding and boating can also be done at the hotel, we chose to continue snorkeling.

I was a bit disappointed thinking we might only see one turtle today, but after believing and waiting, we ended up seeing about 4 to 5 turtles in turn. I think we snorkeled for about 30 minutes. It was great to have so much time for snorkeling.

When everyone got back on the boat, lunch was served: cheeseburgers, juice, and snacks. The cheeseburgers were regular-sized and tasted average.

After that, we all danced the hula, which turned out to be surprisingly fun. I have participated in dolphin encounters before, but since this included snorkeling and hula dancing, I think I would choose the university program again next time.

皆で15分楽しんだあとはスタンダップパドル&ボート組とシュノーケル続行組に別れました。
スタンダップパドルとボートはホテルでもできるので、シュノーケル続行組にしました。
今日はウミガメ１匹かな、と少し残念でしたが、ひたすら信じて待っていたところ、計4～5匹ほど順番に現れてくれました。計30分くらいはシュノーケルしたと思います。時間的にたくさんシュノーケルできて良かったです。
皆が船に上がるとランチのチーズバーガー・ジュース・スナックが出ました。チーズバーガーは普通サイズで味も普通。
そのあとはフラダンスを皆で踊り、これが意外と楽しかったです。
イルカ中学にも参加したことがありますが、シュノーケルの長さとフラダンスがあるので次参加する場合はまた大学の方を選ぶと思います。

I was worried about waking up early for our second day in Hawaii, but we made it onto the bus without any issues! Since it can be quite physically demanding, I recommend having at least a little breakfast before heading out.

We started snorkeling when we spotted a group of dolphins, but they disappeared quickly, so we returned to the boat and moved to another location. We repeated snorkeling a total of three times where the dolphins were. The kids, who had only interacted with dolphins at places like Sea Life Park, were extremely excited to see them swimming so close by.

After the dolphins, we snorkeled at a spot with honu (sea turtles) and fish. The honu came so close that the kids were thrilled once again. We brought a waterproof camera, so even now, the kids look at the photos of the dolphins and honu and reminisce about the experience. They still cherish the stuffed animals we received.

Swimming against the waves can be tiring, but it was a pleasant fatigue. Watching the sunrise from the ocean and having such wonderful experiences made it all worthwhile.

If I have the chance again, I would love to enroll in college.

かなり体力を消耗するので、少しでも朝食を取っていった方が良いと思います。

イルカのグループがいたのでシュノーケリング開始しましたが、あっという間にいなくなりボートへ戻り移動。またイルカがいるところでシュノーケリングを合計３回繰り返しました。すぐ近くをイルカたちが泳ぎ、シーライフパーク等でイルカに触れ合った位しかしたことがない子供たちは大興奮でした。
イルカの後はホヌや魚がいるスポットでシュノーケリング。こちらでもホヌが触れるくらい近くまで来て、またも子供たちは大興奮でした。防水カメラを持参していったので、今でも子供たちはイルカやホヌの写真を見ては思い出に浸っています。いただいたぬいぐるみは今でも大切にしています。

波に逆らって泳いだりして疲れますがそれは心地よい疲労感で、海から朝日を見たり素敵な体験をしたので参加してよかったと思います。

また機会があったら大学へ入学したいと思います。

I was really looking forward to this tour because I had heard from a friend who participated that it was great.

On the bus ride from the meeting point to the West Coast, the staff energetically explained the climate of Hawaii and more. They also taught us the differences between mammals and fish in a fun quiz format, and when we encountered dolphins, they explained how to approach them without startling them, which heightened my anticipation even more.

Then, we set sail. When we spotted dolphins, we went closer by boat and swam near them under the guidance of the staff.

There were about 50 dolphins swimming together. We swam just below the surface, so we could see the dolphins swimming above us. I was moved by this first-time experience! And they were wild dolphins. It became an unforgettable moment.

On the way back, we enjoyed cheeseburgers and warm tea on the boat. Eating them while feeling the wind after swimming made them taste even better than usual.

In the end, all the crew members danced hula on the boat to wrap up the tour. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

帰りの船の中でチーズバーガー、温かいお茶を頂きました。
泳いだ後に船の上で風にあたりながら頂いたので、いつもより格別に美味しかったです。

最後はクルー全員で船の上でフラを踊って終わりました。
とてもいい思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

We participated in this tour because we really wanted to see wild dolphins on our honeymoon.

The meeting time was at 5:55 AM, but around 5:20 AM, a Japanese female staff member called our hotel room for a morning call. During that call, she informed us that we needed to wear swimsuits and that if we wanted to rent a wetsuit, it would cost $5 per person, so we needed to have cash on hand.

The participants on the bus were mostly Japanese, with about 20 people in total. Inside the bus, the Japanese staff explained the precautions and how to use the snorkel, which made us feel at ease. They also recommended that those who are prone to motion sickness take medication on the bus. Motion sickness wristbands were available for sale on the bus for $20, but I didn’t buy one. By the way, I got quite seasick during the parasailing the day before, but I didn’t feel sick at all during this dolphin tour.

Finally, we boarded the boat and cruised to the point where the dolphins were located. There were four staff members on board, and they were all very enthusiastic, chatting with us in English, which created a fun atmosphere throughout. Then we finally spotted the dolphins and dove into the sea with our snorkels! We swam close to the dolphins, and there were so many swimming just below me!! Both my husband and I were thrilled to see them up close. Please make sure to bring an underwater camera. I highly recommend participating in this tour.

朝5時55分の集合でしたが、5時20分頃に、ホテルの部屋まで日本人の女性のスタッフの方からモーニングコールがありました。その際に水着着用のことと、水中は寒い為、ウエットスーツをレンタルする場合には、一人＄５必要な為、現金が必要な旨連絡がありました。

到着したバスの参加者はほぼ日本人で、２０名くらいがいたと思います。
バスの中で、日本人スタッフの方から注意事項やシュノーケルの使い方など説明があり安心できました。また酔いやすい方は、バスの中で薬を飲むことをお勧めします。バスでは酔い止めのリストバンドも売られていましたが、＄２０のため、私は買いませんでした。ちなみに前日参加したパラセイリングではかなり酔ってしまったのですが、このイルカツアーは全く酔わなかったです。

いよいよ船に乗り、イルカがいるポイントまでクルーズをします。スタッフの方４名いたのですが、皆さんテンションが高く英語で色々と話しかけてくれる為、終始楽しい雰囲気でした。そしていよいよイルカを発見し、シュノーケルをつけて海にダイブします！そしてイルカの近くまでみんなで泳いでいきました。するとそこにはたくさんのイルカたちが私のすぐ下を泳いでいました！！
こんなに間近で見ることができ、主人も私も感激しています。水中カメラは絶対に持参してください。

Then, it swam right next to me, making it feel like I was being played with by the sea turtle. The accompanying camera staff were also delightful, and we enjoyed the experience together. This was the best tour ever! Seriously!!

At 58 years old, I experienced snorkeling for the first time. I put on a wetsuit over my swimsuit, wore a life jacket, added fins, and attached the snorkel for mouth breathing. Everything was new to me, and then I dove into the sea. The blue sky, the blue ocean, and the crystal-clear water stretched as far as I could see, and there I was with dolphins. I also made friends with the other participants, and we all had a great time together, laughing and enjoying ourselves on this wonderful tour. I participated with my husband and sister, and even though my sister visits Hawaii more than twice a year, it was her first time seeing dolphins, and she was thrilled to have such a precious experience. She was so moved that at 65, she was wearing a swimsuit and jumping into the ocean. I felt the same way; it was refreshing and incredibly healing. The blue ocean of Hawaii, the school of dolphins, the smiles of the participants, Julie's bright and fun personality, the photographer swimming like a mermaid, and the captain in a red T-shirt who suited the role perfectly—all the cheerful and fun staff made it the best memory of Hawaii. The dolphin experience was the highlight. I definitely want to participate again. Thank you to all the staff. I gained the energy to tackle work and house chores after returning to Japan. I want to brag to my friends about this. It’s a lifelong memory.

One of the activities I absolutely wanted to experience on my trip to Hawaii was dolphin swimming. Since I chose the early morning plan, the meeting time was before 6 AM! I booked it for the latter part of the trip when the effects of jet lag were less, and going to bed early the night before seemed to pay off, as my husband and I, who are usually not morning people, managed to wake up properly. (Maybe we woke up because we were so excited?)

A large bus came to pick us up, and despite the early hour, the staff greeted us cheerfully. After the English explanation on the bus, they kindly provided a detailed explanation in Japanese, which was reassuring.

There were about 20 people that day, roughly half of the maximum of 40. Upon arriving at the port, we were finally ready to set sail! Unfortunately, it seemed there were no dolphins at the first point we headed to, so we had to move to a different location. As a result, the travel time by boat was longer than usual, which meant our snorkeling time was shorter.

When we arrived at the next point, we finally dove into the sea! After swimming for a while, when we turned to the staff's signal… there were so many dolphins!! We could clearly see them swimming right beneath us. We also saw many dolphins during our second dive.

Although the snorkeling time was indeed a bit shorter, we were able to enjoy seeing fish and sea turtles. The boat ride took longer, but it seemed that no one got seasick, and during the travel time, the staff shared various stories and even performed hula, which kept us entertained throughout the tour.

On the way back, I think all the participants were fast asleep! It was just what we needed to recharge a bit.

ハワイ旅行で絶対に体験したいアクティビティのひとつがドルフィンスイムでした。
朝イチのプランを選択したため、集合時間は6時前！時差ボケの影響が少ない旅の後半の日程に予約して、前日早めに寝たのが功を奏したのか、朝は比較的弱い夫婦ですがきちんと起きることができました。（楽しみだったから否応なしに目が覚めたのかも？）
大きなバスのお迎えが来て、早朝にもかかわらずスタッフの方も明るく出迎えていただきました。バスの中で英語での説明が終わった後日本語でも丁寧に説明してくださり、安心でした。
この日は20人ほどで、MAX40人の約半分。
港に到着し、いよいよ出港！最初に向かったポイントでは残念ながらイルカがいなかったようで、急遽違うポイントへ移動することに。そのため普段よりもボートでの移動時間が長くなり、その分シュノーケルの時間が短くなってしまいますと説明がありました。
次のポイントに到着し、ようやく海へダイブ！しばらく泳いでスタッフの方の合図でそちらのほうを向くと…たくさんのイルカが！！自分たちの下を横切っていくのがばっちり見えました。
2回目のダイブでも、たくさんのイルカが見れました。
その後のシュノーケル時間はやはり少し短かったようですが、魚やウミガメも見れて楽しめました。
ボートでの移動時間は長くなりましたが、船酔いするような人はいなかったようですし、移動の間もいろいろなお話をしてくださったり、フラを披露していただいたりと、ツアー中ずっと飽きずに楽しむことができてよかったです。
帰りのバスはたぶん参加者全員爆睡！ちょうど少し疲れもとることができよかったです。

First of all, I would like to thank all the staff who took care of us!
On the day of the event, the weather was nice, the waves were calm, and the breeze on the boat was pleasant.
I was able to see the honu (sea turtles) coming up for air multiple times, which was enjoyable in itself.
When the sun went down, it felt a bit chilly in the water, so it was a good decision to borrow a wetsuit.
In the morning bus, our guide Julie cheerfully shared important information and details about Oahu, and what stood out to me was that dolphins have developed ultrasonic communication to convey their feelings.
When we arrived at the spot where the dolphins were, we entered the water and saw the dolphins in the distance!
We moved towards the direction of the dolphins with the other participants, but I was lagging behind and felt like crying inside, wanting to swim with the dolphins!! Just then, dolphins started coming towards us from behind!
I was truly moved to be so close that I thought I might touch them!
After that, dolphins swam slowly towards us from all directions, and later I heard there were about 70 of them.
I heard their squeaky sounds multiple times, and their spinning and belly-up courtship poses were absolutely adorable.
Since they are wild animals, I thought I would be happy just to see a few from a distance, so I was beyond happy.
For those who are not confident swimmers, there were floatation devices available for rent, and those who used them were able to move ahead without any issues.
The photos I posted were taken with my inexpensive underwater camera, but the professional photographer took even more beautiful shots, including some from deeper dives, so I think those who bring their own cameras will be satisfied with their purchases.
If you have the opportunity, making a video would be interesting as you can listen to the squeaky sounds and the clicking sounds, which are ultrasonic and hard for humans to hear.
Lastly, I want to thank Julie for the heartfelt send-off, as well as the powerful and warm captain, the cheerful photographer, and all the staff!
I definitely want to participate again!

まずお世話になったスタッフの皆さん、どうもありがとうございました！
参加当日は天気が良く波も穏やかで船上での風も心地よかったです。
何度も息継ぎをするホヌを見掛ける事が出来、それだけでも楽しかったです。
陽が陰ると海の中では肌寒く感じたのでウエットスーツを借りて正解でした。
朝のバス内ではガイドのジュリさんが明るく注意事項やオアフ島の事など教えて下さり中でも印象的だったのがイルカは超音波が発達していて気持ちが伝わるとの事でした。
いざイルカのいる地点に到着し海に入ると遠くからイルカ達が…！
参加者の方々とイルカのいる方向へ進んで行くのですが思う様に進めず一人どんどん遅れてしまい半泣き状態でイルカさん達と泳ぎたいよー！！と心の中で叫んでいたら私の後ろの方からもイルカ達がこちらに向かって水面へ近付いてきてくれました(;_;)
触れてしまうのではないかと思う位の距離に本当に感動しました！
その後も四方八方からイルカ達がゆっくり泳いできてくれて後で聞くと70頭位だったそうです。
キューキューと鳴く声が何度も聞こえ、ぐるぐるスピンする姿やお腹を真上に泳ぐ求愛ポーズなど本当に愛らしいです。
自然の生き物なので、せめて何匹か遠目でも見る事が出来ればなぁと思っていたので言葉に出来ない位に幸せでした。
泳ぎが苦手な方は浮き具の貸し出しもあり利用されていた方はどんどん先に進んでらしたので問題ないと思います。
投稿写真は私の安い水中カメラで撮ったものですが当日カメラマンさんが撮ってくれている写真はもっと綺麗で深く潜った所からのショットもありカメラ持参の方が購入しても満足出来ると思います。
余裕があればムービーにするとキューキューと鳴く声や後で調べた所、人には聞こえ辛いカタカタッとしたクリック音と言う別の超音波も後で聞き直せるので面白いと思います。
最後にお別れの時まで心のこもったお見送りをして下さったジュリさんを始めパワフルであったかいキャプテン、明るくフォローして下さったカメラマンさんやスタッフの皆さんありがとうございました！
是非また参加したいです！
