I have been to Hawaii several times and have experienced dinner cruises (with another company) before. I didn't have high expectations, but choosing the steak and lobster course was the right decision. The food exceeded my expectations, and the show was engaging and kept the guests entertained. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the weather, but since it was Friday, we got to see fireworks, which was fun. I definitely recommend this tour for those visiting Hawaii for the first time!

My husband and I attended the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner cruise on 12/06/17. When we had First checked in we were greeted by a nice lady and apologized and told my husband he was not wearing the proper attire for the night. He was wearing khakis and flip flops. The nice thing is they were accommodating going so far as letting borrow shoes and pants for the night. I was so happy cuz we had limited time and wouldn’t be able to reschedule. And it was my fault at not looking for a dress code when I booked it. Once we got on the boat we were greeted by the captain! He was super nice and well dressed (everybody was). The dancers, entertainment and food was AMAZING! Not to mention the excellent customer service they made sure they took care of all our needs. We will definitely do this again whenever we come back! Must do!!!

This was my fifth trip to Hawaii, and I finally went on the sunset cruise I had been longing for! Upon boarding, we were guided to the deck, where we first took a commemorative photo with the captain and enjoyed a welcome drink. The rich welcome really lifted my spirits, but I was disappointed that I couldn't take a photo with the captain using my own phone.

Once on board, we enjoyed a full-course meal and drinks. Inside the ship, we could savor our meal while listening to live piano and jazz performances, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Couples, including those on their honeymoon, enjoyed lovely moments together with the music in the background! The meals were served at each table's pace, allowing us to step out onto the deck at our leisure to enjoy the sunset and night views while cruising. Seeing the night view of Waikiki from the sea was a first-time experience for me, and the scenery was exceptional. I highly recommend it!

This time, I participated in an upgraded plan for my 60th retirement anniversary trip, which was different from my usual experiences. Since it was my birthday, a cake was prepared at our table, and my wife and I were both deeply moved. The delightful staff's thoughtfulness, along with their American jokes and the showtime, was fantastic and left a lasting impression. It truly was a wonderful anniversary. After returning to Japan this Saturday, I have decided to work hard towards my second life starting next week.

Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to my wife, who has been by my side all this time. Unfortunately, we won't be able to come next year, but I hope to participate in the same plan together as a couple the year after.

My husband and I took the Star of Honolulu Dinner Jazz Cruise on 10/22/2017. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. You are treated as royalty as soon as you check in. On check in, we found out that this level of dinning (there are 3 levels) requires men to wear long pants. This was booked as a surprise gift for my husband and I totally forgot to have him pack pants. The staff was great and got my husband a pair of slacks that they keep on hand. We were escorted from the check in to the boat and then by another attendant to the ship were we took photos with the Captain. Then the luxury begins. We have complementary welcome about cocktails and 3 amazing appetizers. Our waiter Forrest escorted us to our table. The meal is 7 courses, but each is small so you are able to finish. Each dish was amazing. At desert you are offered a coffee and can include an addition of coffee liquor. They have premium spirits aboard and you get two free drink tickets in your package. There a constant flux in hula shows and then a jazz show. They were very good. I highly recommend the rainbow colored martini, yummy. The staff all went an extra mile to make this the best experience ever.

I was able to spend a graceful time. We had transportation to the hotel, but I think we could have easily made it to the port on our own. The cruise had the best views! The dinner show also gave a sense of being in a foreign country.

I went with my partner, and it was quite a large cruise ship with many international guests around us! The night view and sunset from the ship were beautiful!

I participated on the last night of my honeymoon.
After a bus ride from the Sheraton Waikiki, we arrived at the boarding area.
We were welcomed with a dance.
Since it was a five-star experience, we were seated on the top floor, the fourth floor.
Like us, the surroundings were filled with honeymooners.
Before taking our seats, we enjoyed a non-alcoholic welcome drink and three types of finger foods outside.
As an ordinary person, I found this to be the most delicious part. (laughs)
Here, we took a photo with the captain.
Some people received their photos just before disembarking, but we couldn’t get ours unless we paid.
I wonder if it’s a difference in plans?
Since it was a special occasion, we decided to purchase it and display it at home.
It cost about 3,000 yen.

The course meal didn’t suit my taste, and I didn’t find it delicious.
For the first time in my life, I also experienced seasickness and couldn’t eat much of the food.
Even though we had drink tickets for three drinks each, I couldn’t drink and ended up just drinking water...
It was very disappointing.
Others seemed very happy, which made me sad.
For those who have never experienced seasickness, I recommend taking motion sickness medication, as there can be cases like mine.

Before disembarking, we received a single rose.

Although I felt unwell and there were some disappointing aspects, it was a lovely cruise where we could spend a special night.

5スターだったので、いちばん上の階の4階の席でした。
自分達もそうでしたが、周りはハネムーナーだらけ。
席に着く前に、外でノンアルコールのウエルカムドリンクと３種類のフィンガーフードを頂けます。
庶民の私はこれが一番美味しかったです。笑
ここでは船長と写真を撮ります。
船を降りる直前に写真を貰ってる人もいましたが、私達はお金を払わないともらえませんでした。
プランの違いなのかな？
せっかくなので購入して玄関に飾ってます。
日本円にするとだいたい3,000円ぐらいでした。

コース料理は私の口には合わず、美味しいと思えませんでした。
生まれて初めて船酔いもしてしまい、ほとんど料理を食べることができませんでした。
ドリンクも1人3杯までドリンクチケットがあったのに飲むことができず、水ばかり飲むことに…。
とても残念。
他の方々はとても幸せそうにしてたので悲しかったです。
船酔いしたことのない方も、私のような場合があるので酔い止めを飲むことをオススメします。
サンセットや夜景は本当に綺麗でした。
スタッフの方々の接客も素晴らしかったです。
下船前にはバラも一輪頂けます。

私は具合が悪くなってしまい残念な部分もありましたが、特別な夜を過ごすことが出来る素敵なクルーズです。
一度は是非参加してみると良いと思います。

I chose the crab and steak package with transportation included. I was picked up on time and arrived at the boat. We boarded immediately and enjoyed a welcome drink and appetizers right away. After departure, I took photos of the sunset and enjoyed delicious steak and crab until I was full. The dessert and ice cream were also excellent. The hula show was fun too. The best part was the service from the waitstaff, which was better than in Japan.

We ordered a cake as an option since it was our honeymoon and my husband's birthday. I thought it was taking a while for dessert to arrive, and just before the end, we were handed a cake in a box without a "congratulations" plate. I originally thought we wouldn't be able to finish it, so I was hoping they could just add a plate for dessert. However, I was told that if we ordered the cake as an option, we could have the plate, so I requested it, but it was a bit disappointing that there was no celebration aspect.

The food was delicious, and the other services were good.

As soon as we set sail, we saw the sunset, and then enjoyed a meal along with band performances and dancing. The food was delicious, and the band and dance were very impressive. However, the tables are mostly for four people, so be prepared to share. I was seated with a newlywed couple from Korea, but we were spaced out enough that we didn't mind each other. That said, depending on the table arrangement, some seats were quite close together, so if you're concerned about that, it might be better to opt for a two-person table or upgrade your course.

I had imagined a dinner on the deck, but it was actually inside the ship, so please be aware of that (it might have been mentioned in the description). Also, due to the nature of dining inside the ship, many people go out into the aisles to see the sunset, so if you want to take photos, you should move early to secure a good spot.

Despite these downsides, the band (two older gentlemen on guitar and bass) and the energetic dances by performers in traditional costumes were very impressive, so my overall rating is satisfactory! Without those performances, I think my rating would have been around 2.5.

料理も美味しくバンドやダンスも迫力満点、楽しめたのですが、テーブルは大体4人席なので、相席は覚悟してください。私は韓国人の新婚カップルと相席でしたが、間隔も少し離れていたのでお互い気にしていませんでした。しかし、テーブルの配置によってはかなり密着した座り方になっている席もあったので、気になる方はオプションで2人席を付けるか、コースのランクを上げた方が良いかもしれません。
また、甲板でのディナーをイメージしていたのですが、普通に船内ですので気をつけて下さい(もしかしたら説明には書いてあったのかも知れませんが)
あと、船内でのディナーという性質上、サンセットを見るために多くの人が通路に出てしまうので、早めに移動しておかないと写真を撮ったりするのは厳しいです。
しかし、それらのマイナスがあっても、バンド(おじ様2人のギターとベースバンド)や、民族衣装を着たダンサー達の激しいダンスなど迫力満点だったので、最終評価は満足です！
それらの演出が無ければ、評価は2.5くらいだったと思います
