I believe the meals and service were five-star quality. If I had any complaints, it would be that since it was a sunset cruise, I would have liked to be informed more accurately about the timing of the sunset. It was wonderful to see the fireworks. I wanted to see various shows on the ship, enjoy the sunset and fireworks, and eat delicious food. I had a busy but enjoyable time. I attended a family celebration. The serving staff and show staff really energized the atmosphere, and we had a great time! My family was also very impressed!

The crab was properly filled with meat. As for the steak, since we are not young anymore, the fillet that wasn't too greasy was just right for us.

I truly rate the staff as very satisfactory. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that the window was dirty. This is not a complaint, just the only disappointing point. I think it's unavoidable to avoid the sea spray in that location.

I was really impressed by the luxury of dining with the sunset as a backdrop, but if that window had been clean, it would have deserved more than five stars.

I hope to participate in a full-course dinner next time...

We utilized the service on Christmas Eve 2015 with five people, including my wife's parents and their relatives.

Good points:
- A warm welcome with hula dancing from the moment we boarded
- Live singing and hula dancing during the meal
- The meal included unlimited crab and steak. The crab was especially delicious
- A beautiful sunset (spectacular view)
- A sightseeing stop to enjoy the beautiful night view of Honolulu on the way back
- They provided transportation back to our hotel (Sheraton Waikiki)

Areas for improvement:
- There weren't many, and no major improvements come to mind.
- If I had to mention something, it was a bit unclear when we were allowed to disembark.

Finally:
- If I have friends going to Hawaii, I would recommend the "Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise."

The dinner was truly delicious.
Being guided straight to the third floor by elevator upon boarding added a special touch.
The gorgeous atmosphere and the clean, spacious environment were impressive.
The view, of course, was the best.

I have experienced dinner cruises on the Seine River in Paris, the Thames River in London, and in Vancouver multiple times, but this one is the best.

With the five-star option, three drinks are included, which is more than enough for us, as we are not heavy drinkers.

The GODIVA Coffee is really delicious.
Even as a coffee enthusiast, I was surprised.
The balance of whipped cream and liqueur is exquisite.

I participated again this year, but there were no crab shell containers or crab spoons, and crabs were only distributed once more. (The taste was as salty as last year.) I regretted not finishing the steak, knowing that I could have. The show content was good.

I participated in a Christmas Eve event. We were welcomed with a wonderful hula dance in front of the ship, which really got us excited before boarding.

After boarding, we enjoyed a meal while watching live performances of musical instruments, singing, and hula dancing. The food was delicious, including a whole lobster, tender and juicy steak, and cake. Our table attendant was always smiling, telling jokes, and even helped cut the lobster legs, providing excellent service!

The amazing dancers performed hula right in front of us, and their powerful presence was overwhelming. After the meal, when we went out on the deck, the beautiful sunset was breathtaking. Finally, our table attendant led us to dance together with all the guests, further elevating the mood.

On the way back, the shuttle bus took us around Honolulu's illuminations, allowing us to enjoy Christmas Eve in Honolulu to the fullest. If you visit Hawaii, I highly recommend participating in the "Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise."

The hotel stay includes a shuttle service to and from nearby hotels, which is reassuring.

When you find a staff member and ask, they will explain which bus number to take, and you will board the bus to head to the ship while watching an explanatory video with other guests.

You can either take a look at the decorations in front of the boarding gate or board the ship right away; you have the freedom to do as you please until departure, so many people took commemorative photos.

A Japanese menu is available, and aside from the welcome drink, most items are quite expensive, so most people were drinking water or tea (which is free).

During my visit, drinks were provided not at the food menu area but at the dessert corner. Initially, with staff guidance, we went in order to the buffet area, and after that, we could freely go back for seconds. The roast beef ran out quickly. If you take a little break to explore the ship and come back, you might find that a lot of food is already gone, so if you think you'll eat later, you might be disappointed!

Honestly, I was wondering how the buffet would be, but it was delicious. There weren't a huge variety of options, but I felt full, and I was completely satisfied with it. The desserts were quite sweet, including cookies, small cakes, and fruits.

ちょっと休憩がてら船内散策してもどってくると結構なくなってたりするので、あとで食べようなんて思ってたりすると気づいた頃にはもうない！なんてあるかもしれません。


正直ビュッフェコースってどうなんだろうと思ってましたが美味しかったし、種類はそれほど多くないけどお腹いっぱいななったし私はコレで全然オッケーでした。デザート系は結構甘かったです。クッキーとかちょっとしたケーキやフルーツとかだったかな。

最上階に行けば休憩にもなるしダイヤモンドへットもみれますよ。
ランクよってクーラーが効いている部屋や貸切みたいなお部屋があったり、ショーのレベルが違うみたいでした。

食事後には参加者で踊ったりしますが強制ではないので、デッキでゆっくりしてもいいし、ワイワイ参加してもいいとおもいます。フラもみれるし、一緒に写真撮ってもらったり。

そういえば乗船して最初の頃にカメラマンがテーブルごとに記念写真を撮ってくれますが、気に入ったら購入。実際に現像した写真を台紙に入れて見せてくれます。

スッタッフの方も少しなら日本語が分かるみたいでお手洗いの場所なんかも特に困ったこともなく過ごせました。忙しそうにはしてますが船内はアットホームな感じです。
すごくおすすめ！ってほどでもないですが、記念に。という感じかな

行きは普通の車でしたが、帰りは指定された大型バスに乗り込みホテルに戻ります。
曇りでサンセットは見れなかったけどなかなか楽しめました。

On the last day of our family's first trip to Hawaii, we were looking forward to this highly-rated tour as a way to wrap things up. Unfortunately, the weather was unusually bad, with sudden rain and cloudy skies alternating like a typhoon, so I didn't expect much from the sunset and instead looked forward to the food on board.

Opting for the $27 photo package was worth it, as we were surprised to find ourselves seated at a family-only table by the window. I was really happy about that.

Bread and salad were already served at the table, and as soon as we sat down, tropical juice was brought out. Before I knew it, the boat had set sail. There weren't many announcements aside from the staff's dance and song explanations, so before I realized it, the boat had stopped at a spot where we could see the sunset, and several guests were out on the deck taking photos.

If we had been leisurely enjoying our meal, we might have missed the sunset altogether. The food I had been looking forward to was a bit disappointing; the salad had a delicious dressing but was too salty. The bread was purple on the inside and very tasty. I think it would be better if it were served warm instead of cold. The main meat dish looked wonderful, but it was also cold, and the sauce was overly sweet and thick. I couldn't taste the flavor of the meat, which was like a large piece of soft ham smeared with liquid sugar, and it got stuck in my teeth, so unfortunately, I left some behind.

The crab was packed with meat and not too fishy, which was good, but I wished for some vinegar soy sauce. After that, it got quite chilly, and I was hoping to get a warm coffee, but although there were mugs on the table, none were ever filled before we returned to port.

期待していた料理もサラダはソースが美味しいけど味が濃すぎて辛かったです。パンは中は紫いろで、これはすごくおいしかった。できれば、冷たいパンではなく、温かいパンで出てきたらよいと思います。メインのお肉は、色や見た目は素晴らしいんだけど、これも料理が冷たくソースが甘くてべったりした味。お肉の風味は感じられず感想した大きな柔らかいハムに液体の砂糖をぬった様な味で、噛んでると筋が歯に挟まるし、残念ながら残しました。
カニは身が詰まっていて、生臭さも少なくおいしかったけど、酢醤油が欲しかった。
その後、結構冷えたので、温かいコーヒーでも貰えないかと期待してま ってたけど、マグカップはテーブルに置いてあったけど一向に注がれることなく帰港してしまいました。
料理は残念ですが、パンとカニ以外、日本人の口にはあまり合わない味付けでした。
イベントは、スタッフ一人ひとりがゲストに対して一生懸命楽しませようとしている好ましい姿勢を感じましたが、ライトが眩しく煩さいだけという人もいるかもしれません。
心地よい音楽、緩やかな踊り。のんびりとした優雅な時間に包まれてのサンセットディナークルーズではなく、高校の文化祭のノリでした。20代前半の若い人は騒げるし、踊りに参加できるし、楽しめると思います。ちょっとしたお祭り気分のクルーズでした。

Since I requested a pick-up service, I was able to relax at the hotel until just before departure, which was very enjoyable. When we arrived at the port, a large ship was right in front of us! On the top deck, welcome drinks and canapés were prepared, and we had fun taking pictures with the hula dancers.

お食事はスープ、サラダ、ロブスター、シャーベット、ステーキ、デザートの６品。スープはカレー味、ステーキはデミグラスソースと、繊細な味付けではありませんが、誰でもなじみのあるような分かりやすく食べやすい味でした。
景色やショーもとても良かったです。サンセットがとても綺麗でした。フラダンスショーは目の前で踊ってくださるので迫力があり、波に酔って気分が悪くなりかけていたことをすっかり忘れてしまいました。日が沈んだ後にデッキに出てみると、美しいホノルルの夜景が！金曜日だったので、ヒルトンの花火を見ることもできて、とても素晴らしかったです。船内に戻り、食事を食べ終えると、ジャズのショーが始まりました。女性のボーカルとサックス、ピアノの息の合った演奏が素晴らしく、涙が出そうになるほど感動しました。
帰りにはクルーの方からバラの花のプレゼント。大満足で船を降りました。
送りのバスでさらにサプライズが。ホノルルのイルミネーションを巡ってくださったのです。通常の経路だったのかは分かりませんが、最後の最後まで楽しませていただき、最高のクリスマスになりました。

The experience before boarding the ship was unexpected. The all-you-can-eat crab kept coming one after another, so I was busy eating and hardly had time to enjoy the night view outside, but it was great that a band performed live music.

I was surprised when everyone stood up and started dancing at the end. Perhaps because there were people in the tour group who practiced hula dancing, the atmosphere became lively, and everyone was able to join in.

The staff seemed to be very attentive, and it was fantastic. However, I wished they had used Japanese-made crab spoons and crab claws.

I was prepared for a crowd, but it was unexpectedly empty. I was able to take as much of my favorite dishes as I wanted, so I went back for seconds of the delicious food. As usual, I ended up feeling full. The only regret was that I couldn't capture a beautiful sunset or the night view of Waikiki in a good photo.

Had a great time. Good food (and lots of it) and meeting new people is always fun. It was an intimate setting with a with a friendly and attentive staff. The performers were great; performing dances from the various Polynesian cultures. The view of the city lights from the ship was beautiful as was the sunset. Definitely recommend this dinner cruise for first timers and using the transportation that is offered.

However, a word to the riders: you were 15 minutes late to the meeting point, making everyone wait in the cold bus. People were upset, and when someone asked what time the gathering was, there was no apology, just an excuse about getting the location wrong. Everyone else arrived on time, so please make sure to confirm the meeting place in advance to avoid inconveniencing others.

That said, the staff's response and the overall experience were excellent. Thank you!

最高に楽しかったです。スタッフ全員が楽しませようという雰囲気　満載でした。蟹食べ放題を知らない人が多かったのか、リクエストして山盛りの蟹を食べているのを、不思議そうに見られました。あまり期待していなかったのですが、お腹いっぱいでとっても美味しかったです。
