I participated in a 3-star sunset cruise. I had a great experience two years ago, so I decided to join again this time. I chose the couples plan for this trip. Normally, you sit at a round table with six people, which makes it a bit awkward when eating lobster. Also, instead of sharing the welcome sparkling wine among six people, we could enjoy it just the two of us, which felt like a great deal.
As for the experience, even though it was my second time, I found it wonderful. The sunset was around 6 PM, and the view of the sunset from the boat was beautiful as always. The wind was a bit strong, and the boat felt slightly rocky. Regarding the food, the appetizer was average, but the main lobster was a whole one, which was quite satisfying. The steak was a bit overcooked and felt tough, but considering it was American steak, it was acceptable. The dessert wasn't too sweet and was fine to eat. However, the time was short, and the kitchen seemed busy. The last dessert was served after we docked. But it wasn't over as soon as we reached the shore; there were plenty of activities like folk dances and songs for everyone to enjoy, which made for a very fun time. I definitely want to book the sunset cruise again on my next trip.
３スターのサンセットクルーズに参加しました。２年前にも参加して良かったので今回も参加しようと決めました。今回はカップルズプランでの参加にしました。通常だと６人の円卓で座るのでロブスターを食べるとき気を使うからです。そして、通常ウェルカムスパークリングワインを６人で分けるところ２人で飲めるので、かなりお得に感じました。さて、内容なのですが、２度目とはいえすばらしいと感じました。６時過ぎがサンセットだったのですがいつみても船から見える夕日は綺麗でした。風がやや強く船はやや揺れた気がします。料理に関しては、前菜は普通、メインのロブスターはまるごと一匹なので食べごたえがあります。そしてステーキなのですがやや火が通りすぎで固めという感じですが、アメリカでのステーキということなのでまあまあという感じでしょうか。デザートに関してはさほど甘くもなく普通に食べられました。ただ時間が短いので、調理場は忙しそうでした。最後のデザートは着岸後でした。でも、岸に着いたからすぐ終わりではなく、民族ダンスや歌、みんなで楽しめる内容がたくさん用意してあり、非常に楽しい時間をすごさせてもらいました。次回も最終日には必ずサンセットクルーズを申し込みたいと思います。

I am weak on boats, so I was a bit anxious about the cruise. The strong winds caused the ship to sway, and I felt a little unwell. However, when I went up to the 4th floor, there was a pleasant breeze and a bed where I could lie down, so I was able to take a nice break. Thanks to that, I was able to finish my main dish, the steak, completely.
The staff was cheerful and the service was fine, but I was a bit concerned about the delay in getting drinks.
The night view and sunset of Honolulu from the ship were amazing!

やはり風が強かったせいもあり、船は揺れ、少し気分が優れなくなりましたが、
デッキや階段を上がり４Ｆに行くと、心地よい風と、横になれるベッドがあったので
ゆっくり休憩することができました。
おかげでメインディッシュのステーキは完食できました＾−＾
スタッフも陽気で接客も問題ありませんでしたが、飲み物が出てくるのが遅かったのが
少し気になりました。

Last time I was on a One Star cruise, but this time I enjoyed a Three Star cruise. The sunset view from the deck was amazing, and couples and families were all admiring the Honolulu sunset.
The food was, of course, delicious, and the lobster was very satisfying. The live performance was elegant and enjoyable, and the service was attentive, with everyone being cheerful and friendly.
In the end, we all danced together, and the cruise excelled in food, scenery, and entertainment. I would love to go cruising again when I visit Waikiki.

デッキから見る サンセットは最高でカップル・ファミリー皆さんがホノルルの夕日を眺めていました。

We participated as a large family. We were initially skeptical when led to a room full of Japanese people, but the crew engaged us with their broken Japanese, the food was delicious, and the sunset was beautiful, making it a fun memory of Hawaii. There was a band, a first dance time for newlyweds, and a Polynesian dance show, keeping us entertained until the end. Finally, everyone danced together (though it was a simple dance), and my parents (in their 60s) were really into it, so even older people can enjoy it. However, it might be a bit tough for those who can't get into the groove. I think it's more exciting with a larger group than with just a few people. There were so many performances that I regret not being able to explore the ship.

We participated as a couple in our 40s. It was our first trip to Hawaii! I really think this is a must-do at least once. We had a window seat, so the view was amazing, and I was moved when the sun was setting. The food was delicious too! When I didn't know how to eat the large lobster at first, they kindly showed me. The show was wonderful, and I was captivated. At the end, everyone danced together, and everyone was really into it! It was a truly lovely night.

I have participated in dinner cruises at various resorts before, but this one definitely ranks among the top. I attended with my 3-year-old child, and the staff were very considerate, giving balloons to keep the kids entertained and bringing flowers to make hair accessories.
Of course, the scenery was beautiful, with the sunset over Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea being absolutely stunning. The food was also quite satisfying; although it was a bit on the heavier side, I enjoyed it.
The show was decent, and at the end, all the participants danced together. My child was particularly excited, running around at the front, and other guests and staff joined in, which made them incredibly happy.
One thing to note is that I’m not sure if it’s always like this or just a coincidence, but it seemed that for the three-star cruise, Japanese and Western guests were separated on the floor, resulting in a gathering mostly of Japanese people. Based on my previous cruise experiences, even if it’s a bit awkward at first, it’s fun to interact with foreign guests, so that was a bit disappointing.

ショーもまずまずで、最後には参加者全員で踊ったりしましたが、うちの子も張り切って先頭きって走り回り、ほかのお客さんやスタッフも合わせてくれて、めちゃくちゃ喜んでいました。
ひとつだけいうと、いつもなのか、たまたまなのか知りませんが、スリースターの場合、日本人と欧米人はフロアを分けていたようで日本人ばかりの集まりになっていましたが、いままでのクルーズの体験からすると、最初はとっつきにくくても外人さんと一緒のクルーズもいろいろ交流できたりして楽しかったので、そこだけは残念でした。

This time, I attended with a friend. Since we were seated with other people, it felt awkward, and we couldn't enjoy it much. The food and the performances on stage were good, though... For social people, it might be fine, but for those who are not, I think it's better to request a couple's seat. Families might not have to worry about this as the chances of being seated with others are lower due to the number of people.
今回、友達と二人で参加しました。席がほかの方との相席だったので気まずく、あまり楽しめませんでした。お料理やステージでの演奏・ショーなどそのほかは良かったのですが・・・。

I am 11 years old. On August 19, I participated with my family of seven. The fruit in the hors d'oeuvres was sweet and delicious. Our table was right in front of the stage, and I got to play the ukulele while my sister wore the hat that the dancer had on, allowing us to see the show up close. I also tried a non-alcoholic Blue Hawaii for the first time. It was delicious. At the end, we all stood up, connected, and danced together. I want to do it again with everyone. The course was Three Star.

On the last night of our trip to Hawaii, we wrapped up our adventure with a dinner cruise.
The Star of Honolulu had hardly any rocking, so even I, who is prone to motion sickness, was fine. Once, I had opted for a different tour (the high-speed boat) because it was cheaper, and my whole family ended up feeling unwell and spent the entire time on the deck in the wind without eating anything. So this time, I chose the Star of Honolulu again.
We participated in the Three Star cruise. It was mostly Japanese people on board, creating a bit of a subdued atmosphere, but we enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. At one point, we envied the newlyweds during their slow dance and kiss, reminiscing, "We had times like that too~~. How nice~." We also took commemorative photos with the dancers, which was really fun.
As the cruise went on, everyone started to join in and the atmosphere became lively. It was impressive how the staff managed to energize a group of Japanese people who can be hard to get excited. However, since we were abroad, I wished we could have interacted more with the foreigners.
The food was also very delicious. Our table staff chatted with us in broken Japanese, full of humor, and they made sure the lobster was easy to eat. When I found the cocktail I ordered to be quite strong and difficult to drink, they kindly switched it for a lighter one.
As we watched the beautiful sunset sinking into the Pacific Ocean, we whispered, "We don't want to go back to Japan~." This tour truly was the perfect finale to our trip to Hawaii.

途中からはみなさんも乗ってきて、盛り上がりました。なかなか盛り上がりにくい日本人をあそこまで盛り上げるなんてスタッフの方のテクニックは素晴らしいです。ただ、せっかく海外に来たのだから外国人の方とも交流したかったですね。
食事も大変おいしかったです。テーブル担当のスタッフが片言の日本語でユーモアたっぷりにおしゃべりしてくれて、ロブスターもちゃんと食べやすいように身を出してくださいました。頼んだカクテルが大変きつく、飲みにくそうにしているとアルコールの少ない物に替えてくださいました。
太平洋に沈んでいく美しい夕日を見ながら、「日本に帰りたくないね~」とつぶやく私たちでした。
やっぱりハワイ旅行のフィナーレはこのツアーでしょう。

On August 4th, I participated with my mother. The weather was unfortunately rainy with strong winds that day... However, there was a surprise! The weather cleared up, and we were able to see the sunset. It was beautiful, really.
I'm not great on boats, but I hardly noticed the rocking, enjoyed a delicious meal (the lobster was great!), and thoroughly enjoyed the show. We had a really fun time (we even danced the YMCA together at the end, which was a blast).
It was a three-star experience, but there was no dress code, so casual attire was perfectly fine. It was relaxed and easy to enjoy the dinner cruise! I highly recommend it for families as well.
The crew was well-trained, friendly, and helpful. The captain was also happy to take photos with us.
If you're not confident in your English, there's no need to worry at all. When you arrive in Hawaii, just call Alan. The guidance is in Japanese (and it's a bit funny too!). Just call as per the voucher instructions.
I definitely recommend participating. I will join again next time!
*Although seating is shared, enjoying the "ichigo ichie" (a once-in-a-lifetime encounter) is part of the fun of traveling, don't you think?
８月４日に、母娘２人で参加しました。
当日は風が強く、天気はあいにくの小雨模様…。しかし、サプライズが！なんと、天気が良くなり、サンセットが見れたのです。綺麗でしたよ。ホントに。
船に弱い私ですが、揺れもほとんど気にならず、食事もしっかりいただき（ロブスター、美味しかったよ！）、ショーも堪能し、本当に楽しい時間を過ごしました。（最後に全員でＹＭＣＡを踊り、大フィーバー）
３スターへの参加でしたが、ドレスコードも無くカジュアルな服装でＯＫ。堅苦しく無く、気軽にディナークルーズを楽しめますよ！ファミリーにもおススメ。
クルーもきちんと教育されていて、フレンドリーで親切。キャプテンも気軽に写真撮影に応じてくれますよ。
英語に自信がない方、まったく心配はいりません。ハワイ到着時、アランちゃんにＴＥＬをするだけ。日本語案内だし。（ちょっぴりオモシロイ、ガイダンスだよ！）
バウチャー通りにＴＥＬをすればいいのです。
ぜひ、参加することをおススメします。
次回、行くときも参加しま~す！

On August 2nd, six of us (three generations) participated. We were picked up at the hotel at 4:30 PM and given a small sticker to place on our chests, which had the bus number for our return. At that moment, I never imagined how useful this sticker would be after the cruise.
We departed from the hotel and arrived in just a little over 30 minutes. In front of us was a large, pristine white ship, and I was excited at the thought of cruising on it even before we set sail.
Upon boarding, we were welcomed with music and dancers, and once seated, we toasted with champagne (which was non-alcoholic). We enjoyed appetizers of cheese and crackers, followed by a platter of fresh vegetables, and then it was finally time for a whole lobster, served with melted butter.
There was a jazz performance on stage, which felt very pleasant. After the lobster, we had steak, and finally dessert and coffee. Drink tickets allowed those who prefer non-alcoholic options to order tropical cocktails, so everyone could enjoy their drinks without worry.
I was a bit taken aback by the final YMCA performance, but the sunset during the cruise and the view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea created wonderful memories. I highly recommend this experience for first-time travelers to Hawaii.

最後のＹＭＣＡにはちょっぴり閉口しましたが、クルーズ中のサンセットや、ワイキキビーチとダイヤモンドヘッドを沖から見ることができ、とてもよい思ひ出になりました。
初めてのハワイ旅行の方には、是非おすすめします。

今回初めての大人数での家族旅行、総勢11人での旅行でした。家族全員、大人も子供も楽しめるような、また思い出になるようなことをしたいという思いから申し込みました。日本ではなかなか船に乗る機会はありませんが、青い空青い海のハワイでの乗船は毎回良い思い出になります。自分自身は何度か乗船したことはありますが、今回初めてハワイに来た家族は大変喜んでおりました。クルーズも内容盛りだくさんで、年齢に関係なく参加できるカルチャーも楽しめました。また、運が良いことに魚の餌付けの最中にイルカの群れにも遭遇！！出来てラッキーでした。船が意外にゆれるので乗り物酔いをしやすい人はあまりお勧めできませんが、出航前にスタッフが乗り物酔いの薬を配ってくれたり、気分が悪そうにしていると酔い止めにとジュース（多分ジンジャーエール？）を配ってくれるなど、細かいところにも気遣ってくれるので安心です。ハワイ沖に出てワイキキビーチやダイヤモンドヘッドをバックに記念撮影っていうのも大変記念になりました。

I participated with two elementary school children. The kids were super excited from the moment we boarded, and since we had window seats, they quickly made friends with the dancers who came out one after another and took pictures with them. They saw a big lobster for the first time and called it a big crayfish, which made everyone around burst into laughter. It was a fun tour!

This was my fourth time on the Star of Honolulu, and I always have a great time. This time, my parents, who were on their first overseas trip, joined me, so I booked this optional tour without hesitation. I have also been on the Five Star in the past, but when participating with family or friends, I definitely recommend the Three Star. Guests can dance together and enjoy a uniquely Hawaiian experience.
This was my first time booking through Alan1.net, and I appreciate how smooth and straightforward the process was from reservation to the day of the tour. Above all, it was cheaper than booking through any other company, so I was very satisfied.

- The food is delicious.
The food was, as per the reviews, the best I had during this trip to Hawaii. The filet steak was very tender and incredibly tasty. (However, this is just in the context of Hawaii. It was definitely better than the filet steak at Volkswagen. Haha.) The whole lobster was quite tasty as well. The salad was delicious too!
- The staff is well-trained.
Most of the staff were well-trained, and a foreign manager who spoke Japanese frequently checked on each table, asking, "Is there anything you need help with?" (Some staff who didn't speak much Japanese were a bit curt.) The manager was truly well-trained.
- It was lively.
The final event involved everyone participating in activities like YMCA. It was quite lively.
- The view is wonderful♪
You can see Waikiki Beach from the ocean. It's quite nice♪

- You might be seated with other groups.
The round tables can seat seven people, but if you don't make arrangements in advance, there's a high chance that a group of two will be seated with others. Also, the spacing between tables (only for the round tables) is narrow, which was unpopular, and some people asked to change seats.
- The vegetables are extremely hard (almost raw!)
The vegetables served with the steak are very hard! They feel almost raw. It might be normal for locals, but unless you like raw vegetables, it seems tough to eat. It might be better to consider them as mere decoration. If targeting Japanese customers, I think they should be cooked until softer.
- The attitude of the driver (a Japanese person) of the return shuttle bus was really bad!
At the gathering, since not everyone had arrived yet, I said I wanted to go to the restroom because I couldn't hold it anymore, but I was met with a very curt and cold refusal. After that, there were about five minutes until everyone gathered, so I could have gone! I felt it was a critical situation, and to be outright refused in such a cold manner raised serious doubts about their humanity. This kind of response is hard to imagine in Japan.

・従業員が教育されている
基本的に多くの従業員はよく教育されており、日本語を話せる外国人の責任者が各テーブルを頻繁に周り「何か困ったことはありませんか？」と気遣いをしていました。

・野菜がひどく固い（ほとんど生！）
ステーキに添えられている野菜類が非常に固い！ほとんど生といった感じです。
向こうの人はあれが当たり前なのかもしれませんが、生野菜好きでない限り、食べるのは厳しそうです。基本的には飾りと考えた方が良いかもしれません。
日本人を対象としているならば、もっとやわらかくなるまで煮た方が良いと思いました。
・帰りの送迎バスの運転手（日系人）の態度がすごく悪い！
集合時、まだ全員が集まっていなかったので、我慢できないのでトイレにいきたい、と言ったのですが、本当にそっけない態度で冷たく拒否されました。その後、集まるまで５分位あったので、トイレに行けたのに！って思いました。生理現象、しかも危機的状況だったのに、それを素っ気無い冷たい態度であからさまに拒否されたのは、正直、人として大きな疑問を感じます。日本ではあまり考えられない対応でした。き

Last week, my family participated in the Three Star and Tantalus night view tour (couple plan). We added the couple plan a few days before our trip, and they had prepared window-side seats, which had the best location!! The food was okay... The wind was strong, and the boat rocked quite a bit. Actually, no one got seasick, but it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication just in case. There were nine of us, and we received five photos, which made for a nice keepsake (^^). It was the night of our wedding day, and our parents really enjoyed themselves. We danced together and took pictures with the staff... By the way, there were quite a few honeymooners, and we were made to dance the cha-cha?! The weather was nice, and both the sunset and the view of Waikiki were great. I was quite impressed with the night view from Tantalus. I was satisfied, but if I had to mention something... it was a pick-up plan, but when we departed from the hotel, we had to ask to find out about the pick-up from Star of Honolulu.

タンタラスの夜景も、結構感動しました。
満足ですが、あえていうなら・・送迎付きプランだったのですが、ホテルから出発の際、スターオブホノルルのお迎えが、こちらから聞かないとわからなかったところです。

Due to the good reviews online, I attended with my girlfriend. We rented a car to get there. The parking lot at Tower Place was available, and the fee is $2 if you make a purchase at any store.
We arrived 15 minutes early, and the welcome hula had already started. The course was a three-star one, and we opted for the couple's plan. The seats were a bit cramped, but we were right in front of the stage. Looking around, I noticed that 95% of the attendees were Japanese. It was easy to identify newlyweds, their parents, and other participants. Perhaps it was more noticeable since it was June.
The food was as delicious as the reviews suggested! The lobster was really tasty. The portion sizes were just right, and my girlfriend finished everything. The champagne that came with it was in a large size that we couldn't finish.
What my girlfriend liked the most was taking a nap on the resort chairs on the upper deck (the kind you often see by the pool). Although it was quite windy on the deck, the area sheltered from the wind was quiet and pleasant, albeit with a smell of heavy oil. We were able to take lots of pictures of the sunset. However, even though it was Friday, we couldn't see the fireworks. (It's unclear whether they weren't happening or if we just missed them.)
As everyone has mentioned, the staff was very service-oriented! I was surprised by how clearly they provided their services beyond what was necessary. Additionally, the photos included in the plan options exceeded my expectations and were very satisfying!
And speaking of surprises, the dance time after the hula show was quite something. I'm not sure if I should spoil the surprise, but at the very end, everyone, led by the waiters, played a train game. The atmosphere was lively, and I didn't think much of it at the time, but I suddenly wondered, "Have these waiters ever seen a train?" The sight of people lining up without any awkwardness left the foreign guests with their mouths agape. In other words, it was completely aimed at the Japanese audience. I have to admire this method of entertainment; it's impressive! My conclusion: If you're Japanese, you should definitely participate! It’s absolutely worth more than the price.
P.S. Don’t forget to tip the waiters at the end!

みなさん言われるとおりスタッフの方はサービス精神旺盛でした！
必要以上にわかりやすいサービスをしてくれるのには驚きます。
あと、プランオプションに入ってた写真も想像以上で満足度大！
そして驚くといえば、フラショー終了後のダンスタイム。
ネタをばらしていいのかわかりませんが、最後の最後にみんなでウェイターを先頭に電車ごっこをしました。
気分は盛り上がっててそのときは何も思いませんでしたが、ふと疑問が・・
「果たしてこのウェイターさんたちは電車を見たことがあるのだろうか？」
人が違和感無く連なる光景に、くちをあんぐりさせて見ていた外人客。。
つまり完全に日本人向けですね。この盛り上げ術には、ある意味脱帽です。恐るべし！
わたくしなりの結論：日本人ならぜひ参加すべき！値段以上の価値絶対あり。

Overall, it was a lot of fun. I participated in the couple's plan for the Three Star Dinner. When we boarded and were seated, I became a bit worried when the person who opened the sparkling wine was unfriendly (they were speaking Japanese), but I felt relieved when the table attendant came by. That person was very friendly, attentive throughout, and we even danced together at the end, which was truly enjoyable. The lobster was a bit smaller than what you would typically get in Hawaii, but it tasted good. The meat was also tender and delicious. The show was much better than I expected. Time flew by. I think there may be individual differences in how people perceive the experience, but I believe it will definitely create good memories for both couples and groups. I recommend the couple's plan for couples.

I participated in the Three Star cruise, and it was truly amazing. If you just bring the voucher, you can go hands-free; it's really convenient.
The food was delicious, especially the whole lobster! That was incredible; it was really tasty. Once the boat started moving, I was able to enjoy the night view from the rooftop while relaxing, and I couldn't ask for more.
The staff's attentiveness was great; they were thorough!
The final performance was exciting! I really recommend it. I would give it about 10 stars if I could!

We participated in a three-star dinner cruise with our three children and ourselves, a total of five people. On the day of the cruise, the weather was bad, and although we had booked with transportation included, we had to walk all the way around Aloha Tower to board the ship, even though the boat was right in front of us. It felt like we were unnecessarily made to walk with umbrellas. The meal included a lobster for each person, which the kids enjoyed. However, our youngest child (a second grader) hardly touched their food, as it seemed more suited for adults. For us, it was moderately tasty. Due to the bad weather, the boat swayed a bit, and one of the kids seemed to get seasick and said they wanted to get off quickly (what a shame since we had come all this way). The waitress was rather curt and seemed to just be going through the motions of her job. Although she acted cheerful, it wasn't very pleasant for us. As the sun was setting, the weather cleared up a bit, and we were able to take photos with the sunset. In the end, everyone formed a circle and danced, and the kids danced on stage to YMCA, which I think created a nice memory for them.

This time, I had my first cruising dinner in Hawaii with my mother. This was my third dinner cruise, and it was wonderful as always. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to see whales and dolphins. Seeing my children so excited and engrossed made me feel that I was able to give them a truly valuable experience, and I was very satisfied. The meal was just as delicious as I remembered from my previous visits, with generous portions, and the lobster was especially amazing. My whole family participated, and my mother was very happy as well. I definitely want to join again the next time I go to Hawaii.

I applied for the wedding reception. Both my family and close friends praised it as a wedding reception that you can't experience in Japan. We enjoyed a dinner show and a cruising dinner at the same time. It received great feedback from the attendees, and I introduced Alan. I absolutely recommend it. It's definitely cheaper than dining on Waikiki Street or at hotels, and it will surely create the best memories. (A video camera is a must during participation.) I was skeptical about the free admission for children, but even someone like me, who is not good with computers, was able to apply easily. I made a reservation for a wedding reception. Both my family and close friends praised it as a wedding reception that you can't experience in Japan. We enjoyed a dinner show and a cruising dinner at the same time. It received great feedback from the attendees, and I introduced Alan. I definitely recommend it. It's much cheaper than a dinner on Waikiki Street or at a hotel, and there's no doubt it will create the best memories. (A video camera is a must during participation.)

This is our first trip to Hawaii with our 6-year-old daughter and family of three. I was worried that my daughter (5 years old) might not be okay since I thought the atmosphere would be more formal, but that wasn't the case, and we had a wonderful time. The kids ate for free, but they served the same dishes as the adults, which I thought was a great deal. We were so captivated by the hula dance show that we hardly had time to eat. The staff were also very enjoyable, which was great. At the end, everyone stood up and danced to songs like "YMCA," and it was a lot of fun. However, my husband's parents seemed unsure of what to do and stayed seated the whole time, so I don't think it's suitable for older guests.

料理を食べている時間がないくらい、フラダンスショーに見入ってしまいました。
従業員の方もとても楽しい方々でよかったと思います。最後にはみんな立ち上がってヤングマンなどを踊ったりと大盛り上がりでした。ただ、主人のご両親はずっと席に座ってどうしていいかわからない感じでしたので、年配の方向けではないなと思いました。

I participated in the three-star event. The food was by far the best I had in Hawaii, and the appetizers, salad, lobster, and steak were all delicious. I thought it was very affordable. If I had to say something, the drinks were just okay. The pineapple juice was good.
The staff's service was wonderful, and the sunset and night view were beautiful. The show was decent, but I was very satisfied! I was so impressed that I gave a generous tip. The kids were also thrilled! I don't think the boat swayed much, so you won't get seasick.
Especially the fact that kids are free is the best! Amazing!
