We celebrated our wedding anniversary last December 17, 2016 aboard the Star of Honolulu Sunset dinner cruise and it was a very memorable experienced we had. The ship was clean, foods were very good, staff are super friendly and attentive and the emcee and dancers are spectacular. Everyone participated either with singing or dancing. It's was just plain AWESOME, Thank You.

I flew from Los Angeles to celebrate a best friend's birthday in January 2017, and made up another friend's and my own birthday (in November). I treated my friends and myself with the Five Star - Luxury French Cuisine with Live Jazz. It's was a great evening with the hula dancer's Happy Birthday song to my friend, the waiters cordial and professional service, delicious meal, conversation/fellowship time, pianist and jazz music performance which was very interactive with the guests, and nice view of the Sunset, Wikikki hotel "forest" and Diamond Head. Everything was perfect! Absolutely loved it. And it's a great and memorial experience for my friends, too! Thank you all for serving us!

I didn't have high expectations for the food, so I chose the cheapest option. However, if the treatment is different, please indicate that! On the lowest floor, the windows were foggy, and the number of dancers was also different. My mother and my elementary school child were so disappointed that they spent most of the time on the deck. The view was nice, and the cookies were delicious, so it was a mixed experience, but I couldn't help but smile wryly. If I had known, I would have chosen the top course. I chose a cruise for my last memory in Hawaii. There were mostly Japanese passengers, but there were also quite a few Chinese and Korean passengers. I was able to see the sunset, and viewing Waikiki from the sea was truly special. I was torn between this and a regular restaurant, but I made the right choice with this one.

Beautiful cruise overlooking the Waikiki beach front. The buffet was good with plenty of variety and tasty food. wonderful on board entertainment with passenger participation wife has a bad knee and the crew went out of their way to get a wheelchair and move around to and from the bus to ship to the bus.

I've been to Hawaii multiple times, but this was my first time participating. I reserved a window seat, but I think you can enjoy it just as much even if you're not by the window. The drink service was a bit slow, so I couldn't fully enjoy the wine while savoring the food, which was a little disappointing. There was a cheerful hula show, and it was a fun time.

I was torn between a three-star restaurant and a buffet, but in the end, I'm glad I chose the buffet. The roast beef was delicious, among other things. I was worried about seasickness, but I got so caught up in peeling crabs that I was fine! The boat doesn't sway much, but I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication before going. I attended on Friday.
The star course was fully booked, so I participated in the buffet.
I had a baby with me, but there was a high chair available.
However, the food was quite disappointing (>_<)

It was cold during the fireworks, so I watched from a warm spot on the second deck. I think it was steam from the kitchen? The warm air coming from the ventilation was really nice, so I recommend sitting by the wall (^^)

I also got to see whales!

We used this for our honeymoon on the last day. Most people were dressed quite casually, especially the men who often wore T-shirts, shorts, and slippers. I had my husband wear long pants and shoes just to be safe, but it seemed like it wasn't a big deal. I wore a long dress, and the staff complimented me with "Pretty dress!"

We didn't have a guaranteed window seat, but we were seated by the window. However, the distance between our table and the next was very close. We happened to be seated next to two Korean guests, but if they had been Japanese, I think we would have heard everything they talked about, even if we didn't want to. (laughs)

The female staff member who served us wasn't very friendly; she tried to take our plates away even while we were still eating and the drinks took a long time to arrive. And they weren't very good...

I rated the food three stars this time. The appetizer salad looked like rabbit food, with 5-6 leaves of greens arranged and topped with a vinegar-like dressing. The greens were very bitter, and I think it would be a matter of personal taste. I was okay with it, but my husband couldn't eat it and had it taken away. However, the lobster was a whole one per person, and it was very plump, making us feel quite luxurious! The steak was tender and tasty, but compared to the many delicious steaks we've had in Waikiki, it left a bit to be desired... But if you consider it as dinner cruise food, I'm sure it's quite good!

There were performances and dances on stage, and audience participation dances as well. We aren't good at that sort of thing, so we just watched everyone dancing from our seats, but it was fun. The dancers looked like they were having a great time.

We returned to Waikiki around 8 PM, which allowed us to do some shopping and make good use of our time. The sunset was beautiful, and overall, I think it was a good dinner cruise. However, considering the high price even for three stars, I felt that once was enough for this experience.

服装はみなさん結構ラフな感じで、男性は特にTシャツ・短パン・スリッパの方が多かったです。主人には一応長ズボンと靴をはいてもらって参加しましたが、あまり気にしなくてよかったようです。私はロングワンピースを着ていましたが、スタッフの方に「プリティードレス！」と誉めていただけました。
窓際席の確約はしていませんでしたが、窓際席に案内してもらいました。ただ隣の席との距離はとても近いです。私達はたまたま両サイドが韓国の方だったのですが、日本人だときっと話す内容が聞きたくなくてもまる聞こえだと思います。笑
サービスをしてくれた女性のスタッフは、食べている途中でも少しステージを観ているだけでお皿を下げようとしてきたり、愛想はあまり良くない方でした。そしてドリンクはとても来るのが遅いです。そして美味しくなかった、、、。
料理は今回３スターにしました。前菜のサラダ(？)はまるでウサギのエサのような葉野菜が5～6枚並べられて上からビネガーっぽいドレッシングがかかっていました。その葉野菜がとても苦く、好みが分かれそうなお味でした。私は大丈夫でしたが主人は食べれず残して下げてもらっていました。しかし、ロブスターは一人にまるまる1匹出てきて身もプリプリ、とても贅沢な気分を味わえました！ステーキも柔らかく美味しい方だとは思いますが、ワイキキでたくさん美味しいステーキを食べてきた私達からしたら少し残念な印象・・・。でもディナークルーズの料理と割り切るときっと美味しいお料理だと思います！
ステージでは演奏やダンスがあって、客席参加型のダンス等もありました。私達はそういうのが苦手で席で皆さんが踊っているのを見ていましたが楽しかったです。踊っている方たちも楽しそうでした。
帰りは20時頃にはワイキキに帰れたのでそれからショッピングが出来たりして時間を有効に使えました。
夕日も綺麗に見えましたし、総合して良いディナークルーズだとは思いますが、いくら3スターといえ高額な料金なので、この程度なら一度体験できればもう次はいいかな、といった感じの印象でした。

It was my experience on the day I arrived in Honolulu, and I almost ended up being late. I misunderstood the pickup location and couldn't make it on time. When I called, they told me the bus had already left, so I needed to go directly to the port. I was anxious in the taxi because they said the ship would leave at the departure time. I barely made it in time and jumped onto the ship, but I was disappointed that it didn't depart for a while. Even after the time they mentioned had passed, many people were still boarding, and it didn't leave for about 30 minutes, so I wished they had communicated that better.
