We booked a 1-star package with transportation, guaranteed private seating, commemorative photos, and a city lights option.

Upon gathering, we were given stickers based on our booking, which we attached to our clothing as a marker for boarding.

We were seated at a window-side table for two, but since it was on the port side, we could only see the ocean during the first half. On the return trip, we would turn around to view the city of Honolulu, but since the show had started, we didn't have time to enjoy the scenery (laughs). We enjoy having drinks with our meals, but the welcome cocktail included with this course was sufficient, and although we considered ordering additional wine, we ultimately did not. The waiter also did not encourage us to order more.

The two types of meals we ordered were served on one plate. Since my wife does not eat beef, we had requested a change to the chicken and fish course, but I received a plate with beef and chicken, while my wife got crab and fish. It was a mistake, but the combination was still edible, so we went ahead and ate it. I had low expectations for the meal due to previews mentioning the taste was mediocre, but it was actually quite delicious. The portion size was just right. Saying the meal was not tasty is an over-expectation; it’s better not to dine outside of top hotel restaurants.

After the meal, we had some time to enjoy the view before the show started, but since we had taken our time eating, we didn’t have much time left. The show took place among the audience rather than on a stage. I think it would be more enjoyable for families with children.

We returned to the port around 7:30 PM, and afterward, only the city lights participants were taken by car to Tantalus Lookout. We had a good view of the city of Honolulu and saw a decent night view. However, since it’s not a very large city, it doesn’t quite reach the level of a spectacular night view. If you participate, I think it’s best to go with the mindset of just having a story to tell about your trip to Hawaii.

食事は注文した2種類がワンプレートで提供されます。私達は妻が牛肉を食べないので、チキンと魚のコースへ変更をお願いしていたのですが、私の所にビーフとチキンが、妻の所へカニと魚のプレートが置かれました。間違っていましたが、この組み合わせは食べられなくはなかったので、このままいただきました。
食事の味はイマイチとのプレビューがあったので期待していませんでしたが、十分美味しくいただけました。量も丁度いいくらいでした。
この食事が美味しくないというのは、期待し過ぎと言うものです。一流ホテルのレストラン以外で食事しない方がいいでしょう。

食事の後、景色を楽しむ為にショーが始まるまでしばらく時間をとっていますが、私達はゆっくり食事をしていたため、あまり時間がありませんでした。
ショーは特にステージなどがあるのではなく、客席の中で行われます。お子さんなどがいるとより楽しめる内容だと思います。

19:30頃に帰港し、その後シティーライツ参加者のみ車でタンタラスの丘へ。
ホノルルの街が一望できてそれなりの夜景が見れました。
ただ、それほど大きな街ではありませんので、素晴らしい夜景とまでは行きません。参加されるなら、ハワイに来た話の種に行ってみるくらいの感覚でいいと思います。

I planned my trip to coincide with the fireworks on Friday. The package included a one-star course, a window seat, photos, and transportation (with one Mai Tai per person included). This was an amazing experience! I went with a group of friends and we all loved the environment of the cruise ship. The food was pretty amazing and the live jazz performance was very enjoyable. My favorite was definitely the Polynesian live dance performance. This 30-minute performance was the highlight of the night. The dancers wouldn't just perform, they would interact with the audience by giving high fives, springing peace signs at unexpected times and made our corner of the ship laugh the entire time. If you get seasick easily, I would recommend taking some kind of precaution/medication (the servers were able to provide some medication, too) since a few of my friends did start feeling queasy for a little bit and had to spend some time on the lower deck. However, don't let motion sickness keep you from the cruise! It was still altogether wonderful time.

As the meeting time approached, the meeting place was extremely crowded with people participating in the same tour, and I wondered how it would turn out. I participated in the 3-star course. Our seats were on the edge, but the hula dance show featured dancers coming to the sides as well as the center, so we could see it up close and it was very impressive! During sunset, we were able to leave our seats and watch from the deck. It was amazing to see the beautiful sunset and the red Diamond Head! We were also very satisfied because we got to see fireworks at the end of the day!

The sunset dinner was truly a great experience. Everything was very well organized. We were served champagne to begin with and helped ourselves to fresh cheese, crackers and fruit trays. And those were left out for everyone the entire trip, which is beneficial when you have kids who might not like the whole dinner but still want to eat something. The entire dinner was fresh and tasty, and plentiful. Beverages were refilled as necessary but there weren't a lot of soda options. The sunset was beautiful. You just have to keep watch for the ideal time to take pictures of your experience. The entertainment was great, with music and dancers. Great experience overall!!

I usually avoid these typical places, but this one was quite entertaining.
Honestly, I didn't expect much from the food, but the crab was delicious.
I was pretty much silent while eating, and there was unlimited refills.
Since I was eating crab, I completely ignored the show and the scenery.
Actually, the sunset only lasts about 20-30 minutes, so I wasn't sure which was the main attraction, but I did manage to get some nice photos of the sunset.
There were fewer Japanese people, and it was a mix of people from various countries, so I enjoyed the overseas vibe in Hawaii more than in Waikiki.
