The food was much better than I expected. I thought the all-you-can-eat crab would be just a bonus, but it was quite good. The foreign couple sitting next to me kept going back for more. The night view was a bit more lonely than I imagined, but the show on the boat was great. In the end, the Japanese ladies were also getting into the groove and dancing. I was impressed by the staff's guidance. I thought it would be chaotic with so many people leaving, but we were efficiently directed to the bus and quickly returned to the hotel. We participated as a family of four. My mother, who is in a wheelchair, was also accommodated. The five-star experience included a greeting from the captain, which gave us a bit of a celebrity feel. The cruise lasted about an hour and a half? Live jazz music and vocals started just before docking. I thought it would end once we docked, so I stopped ordering drinks. If I had understood the schedule better, I think I could have enjoyed more drinks.

I believe it would have been perfect if the cruise had been a bit longer and if there had been live jazz music throughout the cruise.

My wife, 11 month old daughter, and boarded the Star of Honolulu, on the One Star package. The night started with a Mai Tai, which was quite strong (coming as a surprise to me as in my experience, “welcome drinks” tend to be very watered down), and we were taken to our table with our appetizers ready and waiting for us. The food was fantastic! I’m going to be honest; I had low expectations for the food. All you can eat crab on a ship, generally does not mean “high quality” to me. And boy was I proven wrong. The crab especially was very tasty, and my wife and I definitely took advantage of the “all you can eat” description. The show was also very fun to watch, with examples of dances of different styles from around Polynesia. The service from our waiter, Chad, was excellent as well: my water was never empty, empty plates were taken as soon as I was finished, and the crab kept coming. I’ve already suggested the Star of Honolulu to family members for when they visit.

This is my approximately 30th time in Hawaii. I believe this is my 7th sunset cruise.

Recently, I have been participating in the Honolulu Marathon consecutively, bringing new people each year, and I always include a visit to Pearl Harbor and the sunset cruise.

Unfortunately, this time felt like a lackluster cruise. I think it had to do with our seating arrangement. We were seated in a group of six in a central area, and besides the seven of us in our 70s, there were two couples of newlyweds from abroad. No matter what we said, there was little response, and it didn't have the lively atmosphere we usually enjoy with the whole table. I wish they would consider age demographics when assigning seats.

Also, I was expecting lobster, but it turned out to be snow crab. (I had promoted it to my friends beforehand.)

But I will probably board again next year.

I was satisfied from the moment we set sail! The food was at a level that met my expectations, and above all, the show was wonderful. The staff's attention to detail was very pleasant. You could really feel that each staff member was trying to entertain us.

While it's a classic choice, I think this cruise is highly recommended for the last night.

However, I couldn't help but be disappointed by the attire and footwear of some other passengers. Although there isn't a specific dress code, I wish they would avoid wearing sandals... it really takes away from the experience.

料理も納得の行くレベルですし、何よりショーの素晴らしさ･･スタッフの心配りが気持ち良かったです。
個々のスタッフが楽しませようとしている感じが良く伝わって来ました。

定番中の定番では有りますが、最後の晩はこのクルーズはお勧めかと思います。

ただ他の乗客の服装や履き物には感心出来ませんね。
特にドレスコードが有る訳では有りませんが･･サンダルなどは止めて欲しい･･興醒めです。

Great cruise!

This cruise was so much fun! We really enjoyed the crablegs, and the Mai Tai's are the best in Waikiki! They really get you involved by getting you up to dance and sing! It was my wedding night, so they sang the Hawaiian Wedding Song to me and my new hubby, and the next day was my birthday so they also sang Happy Birthday to me! It was a great, fun, romantic activity, and I would definitely do it again!
