I chose a course where we could have a commemorative photo taken. I wanted the photos as downloadable files, but I still ended up with printed copies that I can't use. The lobster looked like a giant crayfish, and although there were tools provided, it was difficult to eat. It got lively after the woman in the bridal gown appeared.

After four years, I participated in a sunset dinner cruise in Hawaii, and the crew was as friendly as ever. The food was delicious, and I had a wonderful time. Most importantly, the entertainment I was looking forward to included not only the beautiful hula dancers but also the Tahitian and New Zealand haka, which were truly moving. I definitely want to board again.
４年ぶりのハワイで久しぶりにサンセットディナークルーズに参加しましたが、クルーは変わらずフレンドリーだし、食事も美味しくとても楽しく過ごせました。

I participated because I wanted to see the fireworks at the Hilton on Friday. While having dinner, I listened to music and watched hula performances. After a long time due to COVID, the fireworks were really beautiful. In the end, we all danced together. I had a great time after such a long while.

I have repeatedly taken this cruise many times. The food is just okay, but what I love the most is the lively atmosphere where everyone sings and dances together. On the night before returning to Japan, I always use this dinner cruise as a tradition.

We were served delicious food, even though it was only a one-star experience.
However, perhaps due to the strong wind, the waves were rough, and the cruiser was quite shaky, resulting in three out of four family members getting sick. I also spent an hour and a half in the restroom vomiting.
Since cancellations are not allowed due to weather conditions, those who are prone to seasickness should think carefully before participating. I also saw some foreign guests vomiting on the deck.

I had a great time.
The food was luxurious and had a good portion size.
Unfortunately, the sunset was cloudy on the day I participated, so I couldn't see it. That was disappointing. Also, when I went to the upper observation area, the wind was strong, and my drink's paper cup flew away, which was shocking.
In the end, we watched a traditional performance, and I was moved by the stunning dance.
As for access, it was quite a distance from where I was staying in Waikiki, so I took the bus. It cost $6 for a round trip.
Additionally, the bus stop was a bit far, and I had to walk quite a bit, which was challenging. The area around the bus stop felt a little unsafe, which was scary.

I participated with my daughter. After dinner, we wanted to see the fireworks at Hilton, and we ended up here after searching for a while. The dining area on the boat had a low ceiling and felt very cramped, which was overwhelming at first, but I quickly got used to it. The waiter's attentiveness was wonderful, and we were able to enjoy our meal. However, the crab legs were difficult to eat, and I ended up leaving most of it. I wished I had a crab fork. The meat was tender and very delicious. The atmosphere during the meal and the show afterward was very lively, and we enjoyed not only the fireworks but also the other activities. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

You can enjoy a beautiful night view. The floor is divided into three sections, and since we had young children and couldn't eat much, we opted for the buffet. It was incredibly lively, which surprised us, but the menu included salads, yakisoba, and roast beef. The taste was just okay. There was quite a long line. The desserts were very sweet. The other floors seemed to have a more relaxed atmosphere with French course meals. The post-dinner live concert was full of singing and dancing, creating a lively atmosphere. We waited on the rooftop deck for the fireworks, which started an hour earlier while being blown by the wind, but there were fewer launches than we expected. It felt like many people were there more for the party and the night view than for the fireworks. It gets a bit chilly at night, so having a cardigan or jacket would be good.
きれいな夜景を楽しめます。フロアは３つに分かれていて、わたしたちは幼児連れでそんなに食べられないためブッフェにしました。ものすごく賑やかでびっくりしましたが、メニューはサラダや焼きそば、ローストビーフなど。味はまぁまぁ。かなりの行列になります。デザートは甘々系。他のフロアはフレンチのコース料理なんかだと落ち着いた雰囲気のようでした。食後のライブコンサートは歌ってダンスして大盛り上がり。花火は1時間前から屋上の甲板で風に吹かれながら待ってましたが、思ったより打上数は少なかったです。花火よりパーティと夜景を楽しむコンセプトで乗る方が多いように感じました。夜は少し冷えるのでカーデや上着があるといいです。

I was able to get my parking validated by purchasing coffee at a shop before checking in.

I made a reservation as a gift for my parents.
The flow of the experience was as follows:
- Welcome dance at the boarding area
- Buffet (you can only take food once)
- Dance show
- Fireworks viewing at Hilton (only on Fridays)
- Show (audience participation)
The buffet was quite delicious, much better than it looked, and I think it would appeal to Japanese tastes.
Additionally, the boat has three floors for seating, but during the dance show, you remain seated while dancers come to each floor to perform. I believe they danced Polynesian and hula dances.
The second-floor seating (for those who chose the buffet) did not have air conditioning, and it felt breezy from the windows, so it wasn't freezing. However, the first-floor seating (for those who chose a better course than the buffet) looked very cold.
Since I boarded after sightseeing at Iolani Palace, I didn't request transportation for the tour and used Uber to return, which cost about $15 including the tip. If you're participating with 3 or 4 people, you might not need to request transportation.
If you use the bus, you can return for $3 one way on the local bus.
By the way, because there are many passengers using Uber, it can be hard to catch one after disembarking, so it's smoother to call for one while on board or make a reservation.

・ヒルトンの花火観覧(金曜のみ)
・ショー(客席の人も参加)
という感じでした。
ビュッフェはどの料理も見た目よりもかなり美味しく、日本人の口にも合うと思います。
また、船には客席用に3フロアありますが、ダンスショーは席に座ったままで、各フロアにダンサーが来て踊ってくれるような感じでした。
ポリネシアンダンス的なものと、フラダンスを踊っていたと思います。
私が乗った2階席(ビュッフェを選択した人)は、クーラーはなく、窓から風が吹き込んでくる感じだったので極寒ではありませんでしたが、1階席(ビュッフェよりも良いコースを選択した人)はとても寒そうでした。
イオラニ宮殿などの観光をしてから乗船したため、ツアーの送迎は頼まず、帰りはUberを使ってtip込みで15ドルくらいで帰りました。
3.4名で参加する方は送迎を頼まなくても良いかもしれません。
the busを使うと、片道3ドルで路線バスを使って帰れます。
ちなみに、Uberは乗船客が多いからか、下船してから呼ぶと捕まりにくいので、乗船中に呼ぶか、予約するとスムーズに帰れます。

The whole family was satisfied. We were able to experience the feeling of being in Honolulu from the boat. The steak was delicious. The only slight disappointment was that the waitress's service was not as friendly as we had hoped, and the final excitement of the show was not very high quality due to the drunken atmosphere.

My life in Hawaii started with rain and gloomy weather during the day. If it continued like this, I wouldn't be able to see the sunset, and the hike to Diamond Head the next day would be in jeopardy. However, the cruise lifted that gloomy atmosphere. Fortunately, the weather forecast was wrong, and the rain stopped. The sunset after the rain was incredibly beautiful.
日中から雨が降り空気もどんよりしてスタートしたハワイ生活、、このまま雨だとサンセットも見れない&翌日のダイヤモンドヘッドも実行が危ない、、という空気感を払拭してくれたクルーズでした。
天気も予報が運良く外れて雨も止みました。雨上がり後のサンセットは最高に綺麗でした

I participated in the Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Star of Honolulu. The live hula dance show was exciting and a lot of fun. The view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea was also amazing. I'm really glad I joined. My elderly parents who accompanied me also said they had a great time and were able to relax. We used the shuttle bus, and there were no particular issues. One point of concern was that the meat at the buffet was a bit tough, but that's something that often happens at other places, so it's within an acceptable range. Considering the high prices in Honolulu, this tour offers a lot of enjoyment for the price, so I recommend it to those who haven't participated yet and to elderly individuals.

また海側から見るワイキキビーチやダイヤモンドヘッドの眺めも最高でした。

気になった点としては、ビュッフェのお肉が少し硬かったことですが、これは他の店でもよくあることですので許容範囲です。
物価の高いホノルルで、このお値段にしてはとても楽しめますので、参加されたことがない方や年配の方にはオススメのツアーです

- I booked a 1-star experience. The food was just okay.
- The dance had a Hawaiian vibe and was enjoyable.
- The sunset was visible while we were eating the main dish, and everyone went outside, but our food was taken away while we were out. It would have been great if we could have eaten a little more slowly.
- There is a gentle sway, so if you're prone to motion sickness, it's a good idea to take some medicine beforehand.
- For those visiting Hawaii for the first time, I recommend this event as a way to experience Hawaii.

To say the Star of Honolulu is a fabulous ship is an understatement!
We were both so impressed the minute we walked up beside her! We really enjoyed everything about our evening! The dancers were so sweet as they welcomed us onboard, our window seats were great, the food was really good, and such a fun atmosphere! Our only complaint was their decision to serve crab legs as part of our meal plan. It was delicious, but just a messy food item to pair with our nice dress clothes & date night. And the views of coastline & Waikiki Beach were phenomenal! I had booked the Friday night cruise, hoping to view the Friday night fireworks off the beach ... but the weather changed those plans on us, which was understandable, we still really enjoyed! This was our first time experiencing a sunset dinner cruise ... and we both said we can't wait to go again on the Star of Honolulu!

Overall, it was good.
It was disappointing not to have a good staff member assigned to us after boarding.
First, they forgot the welcome drink. When I prompted them, it finally arrived. After that, the drinks I ordered didn’t come at all. I was made to wait for 40 minutes. I checked with the staff several times, but there was no apology, just “I’m handling it now.” When they finally brought the drinks, there was no apology either.
The food was satisfactory. It was decent for American standards. However, when they took away the plates, the staff spilled lobster juice on my clothes.
The only downside was the staff member assigned to us.
The food, the show, and the fireworks all received passing marks.
全体的には良かった。
乗船してから担当したスタッフに恵まれなかったのは残念ポイント。
まず、ウェルカムドリンクを忘れられていた。催促したらやっときて。その後注文した飲み物が全然来ない。40分待たされた。担当者に何度か確認したが、お詫びの言葉がなく、『今対応してる』で終わり。持ってくる時もお詫びの一言もない。
食事は合格点。アメリカにしてはまあまあの味だった。ただ、お皿をさげるときに担当者にロブスターの汁を服に垂らされた。
マイナスポイントは担当のスタッフのみ。
食事、ショー、花火、全て合格点でした。

Before boarding, I got excited watching a hula dance performed by four people. The floors of the ship varied depending on the course. It was a buffet course, and the cost performance was excellent. The atmosphere was very homey, with dancers, a guitarist, and a waitress who spoke Japanese. It was fun to dance together!
乗船前にフラダンス男女4人を見てテンションがあがり、コースによって船の階が違いました。ビュッフェコースでしたがコスパ抜群でした。ダンサーさんとギターを演奏する人と日本語できるウェイトレスさんでアットホームな雰囲気でした。一緒に踊ったりして楽しかったです！

I enjoyed a wonderful sunset cruise in Oahu. I was so captivated by the lobster that I missed the moment it sank... However, the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the boat was beautiful, surrounded by the lovely atmosphere of a live hula show.
