I participated with my parents, and even though it was a one-star (all-you-can-eat crab & steak) experience, I felt no inconvenience and was very satisfied. The seating was not at a long shared table; from what I could see, it was group tables. The appetizer was just some vegetables, but they were fresh, and the crab and steak were tastier than I expected. The staff frequently checked in, and we received plenty of additional crab and water. The dance show was energetic and very lively, and we enjoyed the sunset, night view, and Friday fireworks, making it a packed tour. My wife and I went on the Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Star of Honolulu to celebrate our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary. This was one of the things we had scheduled in advance of our trip to Oahu, because we had heard nothing but good things about the cruise. They did not disappoint. From our meet and great with the captain to the final departure from the ship, everything was first class. The entire crew was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Our server, Germese, could not have been any nicer and very attentive. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We also enjoyed the live entertainment during and after dinner. It did start to rain as we were heading back to the dock, but the crew took very good care of us and walked us out to our transportation with umbrellas. Would definitely cruise again if we get back to Waikiki. We would certainly recommend the Star of Honolulu to anyone who wants to be treated perfectly. Aloha!

The food was average, neither good nor bad. My family members who ate the crab said it was a bit salty. If you're expecting a delicious meal, you might feel disappointed.

１スターと一番安いプランにしたのですが、
歌やハワイアンダンスが本当に素晴らしく家族もみんな満足していました。

食事は可もなく不可もなく、普通だと思います。
カニを食べた家族は少ししょっぱいと言っていました。
ステーキは個人的には固く感じましたが、家族は気にならなかったと言っていたので気にならないかもしれません。
チキンが一番しっとりしていておいしく感じました。
おいしい食事！を期待して乗ると、期待外れと感じるかも。

波はそんなに高い日ではなかったと思いますが、沖に行くにつれ私には少しつらかったです。（かなり船酔いしやすいほうではあります）
酔い止めを飲んでいましたが、具合悪くなるスレスレでした。
周りに酔っている人はいなかったものの
トイレに行ったら嘔吐している人もいましたし私の家族も１人戻してしまいました。
家族の場合はマイタイ+ビールのちゃんぽんが良くなかった疑惑があるので、
船の揺れもありますし、お酒を飲んで参加される方は少し気にしながら飲むといいかもしれません。

また参加したいと思えるツアーです。

もし早めに船に集合できるのであれば乗船前にショーが見られます。

We visited Hawaii for our honeymoon and participated as a couple. We chose a course that included a commemorative photo, where we watched the Hilton fireworks from the boat and enjoyed the night view from Tantalus. As for the food, honestly, the dessert was not good, but the lobster was fairly tasty. I brought a damp hand towel from the hotel in a bag (it's great for wiping off hand stains, so I recommend it).

That day, there were many people from Korea, and there were no performances of songs aimed at the Japanese audience. Surprisingly, the restroom wasn't crowded, and I enjoyed a lovely moment seeing a rainbow over Honolulu.

The number of passengers is about 40 to 50, mostly foreigners. When we boarded, there were only three groups of Japanese, including us.

All explanations and announcements after boarding are in English, but even for someone like me who struggles with English, I could somewhat grasp the atmosphere and understood that they were explaining the ship's features and safety instructions with a bit of humor.

After departure, we had about two hours of free time to enjoy meals and drinks, take in the scenery, and take photos. Initially, many people focused on getting food and ordering drinks, but after a while, the atmosphere on the ship settled down. The staff came around to take drink orders, took photos, and later brought around desserts. As we approached the time for fireworks, the staff provided guidance (all in English), and everyone moved to the deck to enjoy the fireworks from prime spots.

After the fireworks ended, we returned to the dock, marking the end of the dinner sailing.

As noted in the guidelines, "the dress code is casual," which made me wonder how casual it really was. I think wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and sandals is perfectly fine. As mentioned in other people's experiences, you need to take off your shoes before boarding. In reality, you remove your shoes on land and place them in a large basket, then walk a little on asphalt to board the ship. Most people took off their socks when removing their shoes, so I recommend wearing sandals from the start. Overall, true to the tour's name, I was able to enjoy the sunset and fireworks while feeling the pleasant breeze on the sea, creating wonderful memories. The staff were friendly and very nice. However, considering the atmosphere on the ship and the variety of food, I think the price is quite high. Honestly, I found myself justifying the cost with reasons like "it's a family trip" or "we're in Hawaii," trying to convince myself that the price was reasonable.

出発後は、食事やドリンクを受け取り食事をしたり、景色を眺めたり、写真を撮ったり、2時間くらい自由な時間を過ごす感じです。最初は食事を取りに行く方やドリンクを注文しに行く方が集中しますが、少し時間が経つと船内の中が落ち着き、スタッフの方がドリンクの注文を聞いてまわってくれたり、写真を撮ってくれたり、後半にはデザートを持ってまわってくれました。出発から2時間くらいが経って花火の時間が近づくとスタッフの方が案内をしてくれ（全て英語です）、全員デッキへ移動して特等席で花火を見ることが出来ます。
花火終了後は乗り場まで戻り、ディナーセーリング終了という流れです。

ご注意・ご案内の欄にも記載ある通り、“ドレスコードはカジュアルです”となっているため、どの程度のカジュアルなのかとても悩みましたが、Ｔシャツ・短パン・サンダル等のラフな格好で問題ないと思います。他の方々の体験談にも記載のとおり、船内は靴を脱いで乗船となります。実際は、船を乗る前に、陸のところで靴を脱ぎ大きなカゴみたいなところに靴を入れて、船のところまでアスファルトの上を少し歩き、乗船します。靴下等を履いている場合は、靴を脱ぐ際に一緒に靴下を脱いでいる方がほとんどでしたので、最初からサンダルで行くことをお勧めします。また、靴は袋等に入れることなくカゴの中にそのまま入れるため、もし気になる方がいれば高級な靴やブランド靴は控えたほうが良いかと思います。

料理については、メニューに記載されている内容のビュッフェでした。船が大変揺れますので、私はしっかり食事を取ることはできず、おつまみのような軽食を食べるのみになってしまいました。
ドリンクについては、アルコールチケット1人2枚までもらえますが、正直あまり関係なく何杯でも飲めるような感じでした。（私たちが参加した日だけかもしれませんが）

天候にもよると思いますが、海の上のため、船はかなり揺れます。少しでも心配な方は酔い止め薬を飲むことをお勧めします。私は乗り物酔いをしやすいため、乗船前に薬を飲んでから参加しました。船酔いだけは避けたかったため、食事も軽めに済ませ、ドリンクもソフトドリンクにし、薬を飲んだかいもあり（？）、船酔いすることなく最後まで楽しめました。

全体を通して、ツアー名通り、海の上で心地よい風を感じながらサンセットと花火鑑賞を楽しむことができ、良い思い出となりました。スタッフの方々は気さくでとても良い方ばかりです。
ただ、それにしても船内の感じや料理の種類等からすると値段が高すぎるかと思います。“家族旅行だから”“せっかくハワイまで行ったから”等の理由を無理やりつけて、この値段で納得するようにしているのが正直なところです。
