I was able to make a smooth reservation despite the large number of people and booking the day before. I used the shuttle service, and it was easy to find as they held a sign in the hotel lobby. Inside the ship, the dining areas were separated by meal type. We opted for the buffet plan. Since we were in a room at the bow of the ship, there was some slight rocking. The buffet selection was just okay. We could also go up to the top deck to enjoy the sunset and night views. Since we were going, my wife requested a limousine transfer that she wanted, and we booked it through a five-star service. We laughed at how, despite the spacious interior of the car, we were sitting together in the corner, all excited from the hotel. The welcome hula and the captain's greeting made us feel thrilled. Unfortunately, the cruise was under cloudy skies, so we couldn't see the sunset, but listening to live jazz while enjoying the beautiful night view of Honolulu was lovely, and the food was very delicious. I boarded the Aloha with about 30 participants from the pier. To prevent water and dirt from getting on our feet, we handed our belongings to the crew when boarding and received them back upon returning to the pier.

The two drink tickets given at check-in can be exchanged for drinks of your choice, but the crew will also serve drinks without tickets, so in a way, there are no restrictions. Apart from us, there was one couple and a man who boarded alone for photography, along with couples and families from overseas.

It was a bit chilly outside due to the strong wind, but it’s not a long voyage, so it’s manageable. The fireworks against the backdrop of the Hilton Hawaiian Village last only about five minutes, but they are as spectacular as the finale of a Japanese fireworks festival. This short evening activity is convenient to enjoy after daytime sightseeing or water play.

Although it’s called a buffet, it’s more of a light snack rather than a lavish spread. Enjoy the fireworks with the image of flowers rather than dumplings!

The content of the cruise was excellent. The food was delicious, and there were plenty of highlights like music and dance events. However, the ship rocked more than I expected, and my companion got seasick, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who are sensitive. That said, I am very grateful for the staff who were very caring.

However, on the return bus, when my companion and I, who were feeling unwell, boarded last and found there was no available space, I tried to ask the bus driver for help. He pointed to the front seat in a way that seemed annoyed and told us to sit down quickly as if he didn't care.

Despite my companion's seasickness, I was overall satisfied with the experience, but that one comment ruined my mood and made me feel it was all for nothing, so I had to give a low rating. The only negative point was that the driver seemed to be chatting happily with other staff and showed a selfish attitude, lacking the hospitality expected from staff.

The Sunset Sailing offered by Hilton is more expensive compared to those from Sheraton or Outrigger, but since I was staying at Hilton, I chose this tour. It was great that the meeting place was close, allowing me to use the time before departure meaningfully. Although the limit was set to two alcoholic drinks, the crew didn't seem to collect the vouchers. As a result, I was able to enjoy as many drinks as I wanted. Perhaps due to the alcohol, I didn't feel the sway of the boat at all. I was also satisfied to see a beautiful sunset. I gave a generous tip as a thank you.

We participated as a group of eight. We set sail from a window-side seat! Although we couldn't see much of the sunset that day due to the clouds, we had a great time enjoying the onboard show and the food.
