While it may be understandable that the cancellation reason was maintenance, from our perspective, we had high expectations for each activity and had planned our schedule around them for days in advance. We were really looking forward to it. To be told just a few days prior, "It's been canceled. If you'd like, please consider other tours," felt very harsh.

Since we were not satisfied, we went on a similarly priced cruise, but it seems we were directed to the lowest tier of that cruise. I found that to be quite rude. I believe that true sincerity would involve providing a service that exceeds the canceled activity, without us having to say anything.

Due to the very disappointing response we received this time, I am giving this evaluation. Additionally, despite our request for phone support because we were in a hurry, communication was only via email until the day before the trip, and they did not respond to that request. It feels as though they do not value each individual user.

I experienced the Five Star this time. Since it was my first trip to Hawaii and our honeymoon, I was really looking forward to the dinner on the boat. At first, I thought I might not need transportation and considered taking a bus or taxi, but since it was my first time in Hawaii and I was unsure about getting there on time, I decided to request the pickup plan from Waikiki at the last minute.

The meeting place was at a hotel in Waikiki, and there was a staff member in front of the hotel for check-in. You can show your voucher to check in. At that time, you receive a sticker, which you should place in a visible spot. This sticker serves as a ticket and is also needed for moving around on the boat. There are areas on the deck that are exclusive to Five Star, so having the sticker allows the staff to recognize you.

When we arrived at the port, the boat was docked just a short distance from the bus stop. After boarding the boat and taking the elevator to the deck, we took a photo with the captain. This photo is later offered for sale, so you can purchase it.

On the deck, there were welcome drinks and light snacks like crackers, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious atmosphere. The food was decent, but the cocktails were very delicious, especially the smoothie cocktail. It was also possible to take drinks out to the deck, where we could enjoy the night view and sunset while sipping our drinks.

The waitstaff were very kind, and although I got seasick due to the high waves that day, they quickly noticed and brought me a gentle drink as a courtesy.

集合場所はワイキキホテル内のホテルで、受付はホテル前に係員の方がおられるので、バウチャーを見せると受付をしていただけます。その際にシールをもらえるので、見えるところに貼っておきます。このシールがチケット代わりになり、船上での移動にも必要になります。船上のデッキは、ファイブスターのみ使用できる場所があるので、シールを貼っておくと係員の方もそれを見て判断していただけます。
港へ到着すると、バス停からすぐのところに船が停まっていました。船に乗りエレベーターで甲板まで上がり、船長と一緒に写真をとります。この写真は最後に例のごとく売りにまわってくれるので、購入することができます。
甲板ではウェルカムドリンクとクラッカーなどの軽食があり、リッチな気分を味わうことができました。食事はまずまずでしたが、カクテルはとてもおいしく、スムージーのカクテルは特に美味しかったです。飲み物を持ってデッキに出ることも可能なので、夜景や夕焼けを見ながらお酒を飲むことができました。
ウェイターの方もとても親切で、この日はとても波が高く船酔いをしてしまったのですが、すぐに気付いていただき、サービスで胃に優しい飲み物を持ってきていただきました。
波が高いのはこの日だけでは無いようなので、酔い止めは必携です。
また今回は金曜日だったので、ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジからの花火が見れて最高の夜でした。できれば金曜日に行くのがオススメです。
今回、最高のクルーズに参加でき、本当に楽しい夜でした。
機会があればまた参加したいです。

I requested a pickup from Waikiki. There were so many buses that I wasn't sure which one to take. I got on the bus and headed to the cruise. I chose the all-you-can-eat crab, but the meal was just okay. The sunset and the show were really great. It became a wonderful memory. There was a kind employee, and I wanted to give a tip, but I didn't know when to do it, so I ended up not giving one... The people in Hawaii are cheerful. I received a lot of energy from them. In late April 2015, I participated in the 3-star course. This was my first time boarding a ship at the request of my parents, who were visiting Hawaii for the first time.

Unfortunately, the weather was mostly cloudy that day, so we couldn't see the sunset, but it was fun to watch the dancers' powerful performance up close. The final show was longer than I expected, which was satisfying. The seats we were guided to were right in front of the stage, making it even more enjoyable. I imagine that if you were seated at a table further to the side on the same course, the perspective and experience would be quite different. That's just luck, though.

As for the meal, I have a dislike for meat, so I was able to request a fish substitute for the steak in advance, which was great. However, the fish that was served (grilled tuna?) wasn't really to my taste, so I felt bad for leaving it uneaten. My family members who had the steak said it was delicious. The lobster was served whole, and it was fun to eat it in such a grand way. It was tasty!

The clientele was mainly Japanese, along with some people from Korea and China, and a few from Western countries. I had heard that there was a casual dress code, but there were some guests in T-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops, which I found a bit questionable. Well, it can't be helped, but I wish they would check that a bit more.

While the price is somewhat high, I think it's worth experiencing at least once. My parents enjoyed it, so I was glad. Thank you to all the crew members!

終盤のショーは思ったより長くやってくれて満足です。
今回、案内して頂いたお席もステージの前だったのでより、楽しめました。
同じコースでも端の方のテーブルになるとまた見方や感じ方も違ってくるのでしょうね。こればかりは運ですが。

食事は、私はお肉が苦手なので、事前にお願いしてステーキをお魚に変更してもらえてのも良かったです。
ただ出てきたお魚（マグロのグリル？）もあまり好みでなかったので、残してしまって申し訳なかったです。
ステーキを食べた家族は、美味しかったと言っていました。
ロブスターは丸まる一匹出てきて、豪快に食べれたのは面白かったです。美味しかったです！

客層は主に日本人とあと韓国、中国の方、少し欧米の方でした。
服装も一応カジュアルドレスコードとお伺いしていたのですが、Tシャツに短パン、ビーチサンダルの方もいて、ちょっとどうかと思いました。
まぁしょうがないのでしょうが、そこはもう少しチェックして欲しいですね。

そこそこお値段も張りますが、一度は乗船する価値はあると思います。
両親も楽しんでくれたので、良かったです。

　ラウンジ１は客席が少数の為、生演奏やダンスなどのパフォーマンス担当も数人ですが、いきなりウェイターが踊り出したり客参加のダンスが始まったりと、飽きさせない工夫がされていて感心しました。
　食事はともかく、楽しかったですよ。
　次回はグループで参加したいですね。

I attended with my 84-year-old mother, who uses a cane, and my husband. The five-star experience allowed us to enjoy a calm and delicious dinner, and even when we went out onto the deck, it wasn't crowded. We were able to fully enjoy the sunset and fireworks, even with my elderly mother. I was very pleased with the thoughtful gesture of reserving the front seat for my mother on the return shuttle bus, even though we were the last to board.

It's my 3rd time with Star of Honolulu and they never fail to amaze me!
I was greeted with a beautiful smile by Kathleen at the ticket office. She was very nice, friendly, and it seems like she was enjoying her job. Before we boarded, the dancers are always very entertaining, a unique way to welcome their guests (yes, I've been to other dinner cruises and only Star of Honolulu has this great idea).
At the boat, here comes the cheerful and very energetic Freddie, who took us to our table. He didn't realize there were eight (8) of us but he was able to accommodate us right away having our own table by the window! He is the Assistant Floor Manager and I was really impressed with his friendliness and bright personality, he is funny too! The couples that we were with are visitors from Canada, celebrating their Silver Wedding Anniversary. I forgot to mention this special occasion when I made the booking so I told Freddie if there’s a way he can announce it after dinner. Knowing how busy they were, I never expected it to happen but I was extremely happy and grateful that he didn't forget. After the Polynesian entertainment, he immediately pulled my couple family towards the stage to make their dance. All the other couples, honeymooners, anniversary celebrants, followed. It was an honor!! Thank you so much Freddie for that, it was a memory of a lifetime for my family.
I would also like to give credit to Jay, who was our server that night, in fact all the crew members because they know how to take care of their guests, they're fast and attentive! The One Star package is not bad at all, I actually like this better than the Three Star believe it or not and IT'S ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS!! Yummy! The steak was delicious also, so tender and juicy!
Will definitely cruise with Star of Honolu again and again! True "Aloha" spirit..good impression for those visiting the islands for the first time...greatly satisfied with the services they offer. Thumbs up SOH!!

I was picked up from Waikiki and had a transfer plan to Aloha Tower, and boarding the Star of Honolulu was nice, but the salad, bread, and steak were overcooked, and although there was an all-you-can-eat crab option, it was just okay. The pace was disappointing, as we were told to eat before sunset. However, the sunset from the deck was incredibly beautiful. After that, we waited a long time for the Hilton fireworks, and I was moved by both the fireworks and the view of Waikiki from the sea. There was no need to pay extra for guaranteed window seats! I recommend avoiding the upgrade for guaranteed window seats.

ワイキキからのピックアップで、アロハタワーまでの送迎付きプランで、スターオブホノルル号に乗り込んだのはいいけど。サラダとパン、ステーキはかなり焼き過ぎ、カニも食べ放題なんだけど、イマイチ。サンセットまでに食べろ～と言わん限りのペースでがっかり。その後デッキの出て、サンセットはすごく綺麗だった～。あとは、ヒルトンの花火をかなりの時間待ち続け、花火もワイキキの街並みも海からの景色に感動はしましたが、窓際のお席確約で、余分な費用を払う必要はまったくなし！窓際席確約プラスは、やめた方がいいです。

I made a reservation for a luxurious 5-star dinner (7-course French) by the window to enjoy my last night in Honolulu. When the third course, a salad, was served, water started dripping from the air conditioning above. I called the waitress, but she tried to leave the salad there, so I asked for the manager. We moved to another table, and they offered us a complimentary bottle of wine, but it was the worst dinner cruise I’ve ever experienced. Unfortunately, we also couldn’t see the sunset. The show and the meal were good, but I have no desire to go on this cruise again.

I participated in the buffet plan with a friend. Due to the limited space, we had to go outside to get our food, which I thought was a bit inconvenient. 広さの関係でビュッフェは室外まで取りにいかなければならず、不便かなと思いました。
味はいたって普通…です。デザートのクッキーは美味しかったです。
船内なので当然揺れますが、結構揺れ方も大きく、船酔いしやすい方は食事どころではなくなるかもしれません。
金曜日に参加したのでヒルトンハワイアンヴィレッジであげる花火が見られたのですが、外や屋上はかなり混んでいて船内のガラス越しから見ました。
それでも綺麗でしたよ。
スタッフの方々は親切で、色々と声を掛けてくれたり、テーブルがガタガタするというお客さんからの要望にもしっかり対応していました。
花火も終わり、食事も済んでくると、ハワイアンダンスショーが始まります。
男性の筋肉にみとれつつ（笑）、ダンスレッスンなどもあって見ていて楽しかったです。
そして、クライマックスは参加者全員でダンスダンスダンス！！
スタッフの方も混じって輪になって踊り、振り付けもなんだかユニークでおもしろかったです。
ほんとにお祭り騒ぎ的な、「今日は何しに来たんだっけ？」みたいな感じでした（笑）
参加者に日本人も多くいましたが、みんな楽しんで踊っていました。
普段あんなにバカ騒ぎしないので、私はすごく楽しかったです。
想像していたサンセットディナークルーズとは一味違いました。

Spectacular Dinner Cruise

This dinner cruise was truly spectacular. We checked in and seemed to be upgraded from the roast beef dinner to the steak and crab dinner. Love it! We were seated at an intimate table for two on the side of the stage and were able to start eating while the rest of the guests were seated with efficiency. It didn't take long for us to be on our way and dinner was served. The steak was medium rare and delicious and the crab (if not a little cold) was wonderful. Entertainment was superb! We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and even spotted a few whales in the distance and enjoyed the Polynesian entertainment. We were able to stroll all decks and since the 2nd deck was not occupied enjoyed a quiet moment before returning to the dock. Enjoyed every minute.

However! Once we got offshore, the clouds cleared up, and we were able to see a beautiful sunset!!
Afterward, we filled up on delicious lobster and steak, and by the end of the show, everyone got up to dance and take pictures with the dancers, creating a lively atmosphere. I was impressed by how well the dancers engaged the crowd. I was completely satisfied both in heart and stomach☆
I also participated in the luau show at the Hilton, but I felt like I would want to join this one again.
