it was my first time went on the dinner cruise since I live in Hawaii for 20 years, I really enjoy the steak and loster dinner, the workers were very friendly and helpful, that made me feel like I was having a family dinner with my family. The manager name Joey especially came serveral times to visit us and made sure everything was okay, we have a great time in Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner cruise!!!

This is my fourth time participating. Every time I come to Hawaii, I use this service on the last night. The view from the boat is, of course, wonderful, but what impresses me the most is the hospitality of the staff. I am always very impressed. This time, since it was Friday night, I was also able to watch fireworks from the boat! I was thrilled to see them up close. I definitely want to use this service again when I go to Hawaii. I made a reservation for the sunset cruise at my mother's request. I wanted to book the 1-Star, but unfortunately, it was fully booked, so I went with the Pacific Star. Since the sunset was the main attraction, I was okay with any food...

At first, I was mistakenly guided to a 1-Star seat, which was a round table that barely fit six people and had three groups sharing the table... and the space between the seats was tight... After that, I moved to the Pacific Star seats, which mainly had tables for two, so I wasn't sharing a table there (laughs). The space between the seats was also wider than the 1-Star, so that was good.

There was a show, but on the Pacific Star, it was mainly just two dancers who occasionally came to perform. However, I could still feel the Hawaiian atmosphere, which was nice. The food was mediocre. The main dish, the roast beef, was really tough... The sunset was positioned behind the mountains, and there were clouds over the mountains, so it wasn't particularly beautiful. It didn't have the image of the sun setting on the horizon like in Wakayama. I think it's often cloudy near the mountains, so I wondered why they chose that position.

I made the reservation for Friday because I heard we could see fireworks from a hotel, but since it was a bit far away, I thought it might not be necessary to go on a Friday.

ショーもありますが、パシフィックスターは基本2人がたまに踊りに来てくれる感じです。でもまぁまぁハワイの雰囲気は感じられ、良かったです。料理はイマイチでした。メインのローストビーフはすごく固かった…。サンセットも山の向こうに太陽が沈んでいくポジションで、山の上は雲がかかってたので、さほど綺麗でもなかったです。和歌山みたいに水平線に沈むイメージではなかったです。山付近は雲がかかってることが多いと思うんですが、なんであのポジションなのかなって思いました。
金曜日はどこかのホテルが打ち上げる花火が見れるとのことで金曜日に予約しましたが、ちょっと遠目なのでわざわざ金曜日でなくてもいいかなと思いました。
でも最後はウェイターの人もフラを踊ったり、みんなで輪になって踊ったり（フラじゃないけど）お客を楽しませようとする気持ちはすごく伝わり、楽しかったです。
ご飯とサンセットはイマイチでしたが、全体的にすごく楽しかったので満足しました。

We had a great experience on this dinner cruise. The entertainment was outstanding and the firework show was just the icing on top. The waitress and staff went beyond expectations to make sure we were having a great time. The food was good but I wish they would give an option for the lobster. I do not care for lobster and therefore did not eat it. I just wish the steak would have been a larger portion since we did not eat the lobster. Other than that, excellent time!

This time, we visited Hawaii for a wedding trip and were looking for events that both families could enjoy. In the end, we were very satisfied. There were buffet and course meal options, but we chose the buffet. For reference, the dining areas were divided by floor:

そういう意味では、1階でもまったく問題なく楽しめました！

I boarded the Three Star with my friends. Although our seats were somewhat difficult to see the entire show from, being almost right next to the performers allowed us to communicate with them, which was fun in its own way. The show was packed with live performances, dancing, and interactive segments, making it a lot of fun. I thought I would just chat casually with my friends while watching the show, but it turned out the show was so enjoyable that I couldn’t do that. I didn’t have high expectations for the food since it was cruise fare, but the shrimp was incredibly delicious and shocking. Even the dessert was tasty. For those who want to drink a lot, it might be different, but the offerings were more than sufficient without any additional charges. At one point, I went out to the deck to enjoy the scenery from the ship, and it was also wonderful. While window-side seats might be nice, I enjoyed it from the deck as well. I paid 17,000 yen per person for a dinner cruise I was looking forward to. As a special treat for our honeymoon, I splurged on the three-star (lobster + steak), but I was shocked when I was shown to my seat. To my surprise, I was seated at a round table with eight strangers...! This is unimaginable in Japan. It was my first time experiencing something like this. Since everyone at my table was a couple, everyone froze the moment they were shown to their seats. The waitress said in English, "Japanese people, raise your hands. Koreans, raise your hands. We're all friends!" but no one responded. I felt so down that I was on the verge of tears.
Even in restaurants these days, it's rare to be seated with strangers. When I negotiated with the staff to change seats because it was our honeymoon, I was told, "If a two-person table opens up, you can move," but if I couldn't change seats, I wanted a refund and to get off the boat. 一人１７０００円支払って、楽しみにしていたディナークルーズ。ハネムーンの記念に、３スター（ロブスター＋ステーキ）奮発したのに、席に案内されてびっくり。なんと、見知らぬ人と８人で円卓に相席にされました・・・！
日本ではありえません。こんなこと、初めてです。私のテーブルは全員カップルだったので、みんな席に案内された瞬間、凍りついていました。ウェイトレスさんが英語で、「日本人の人、手を挙げて。韓国人、手を挙げて。皆友達だよ！」と言ってきましたが、誰も乗らず。私も気分が沈みきって泣きそうになっていました。
そこらへんのレストランでも相席なんて、今の時代、そうそうありません。
スタッフの人に、ハネムーンだから席を替えてもらえないか交渉したところ、「二人掛けの席にキャンセルが出たら、移動できる」と言われたが、もし席の移動ができなかったら船を下りて返金してほしかった。
ちなみに、ホテルから港までの送迎バスも満員で、約３０分、席がなくて知らない人の隣に座らされました。詰め込みすぎ。

② 料理について
正直、あまりおいしくない。高価なだけに、期待しすぎた。ロブスターはぱさぱさ。しかも、おしぼりは出されなかったため、トイレが長蛇の列に。ハワイはおしぼりがでないことを知っていたので、大きいウエットティッシュを持ち歩いていましたがこんな日にかぎって持ってくるのを忘れました。ロブスターを出すときぐらい、おしぼりかフィンガーボウルを用意すべきでは？
③ ショーについて
ショーは良かったです。ホテルからの送迎バスを降りたら、ウェルカムダンスをしてくれていて、気分が盛り上がりました。

しかし！船のガソリンが足りなかったのか？時間配分のミス？なんの間違いなのか、船が港についてから１５分くらいは、ショーが続いていました。
昔、このツアーに参加した時は、ちゃんと海の上でショーをやってくれていたような。。

④ 総評
とにかく残念なツアーでした。二度と、参加しません。

Since it was a bit far from Waikiki, I think it's better to include transportation. I was surprised by the large ferry! My husband and I participated together. I was a little disappointed that we had to share a table. I also thought it was noisy. However, the food was very delicious! It was wonderful to see the sunset and the fireworks from Hilton as well! At the end, dancing in a circle with everyone was really fun! I recommend the lobster!

The pickup was done with a large tour bus that took us to the pier. During the ride, a Japanese guide video played, which was reassuring. It was also helpful that as long as you had the participation sticker given during pickup, everything from the cabin to the return bus was clearly marked.

楽しい雰囲気が好きな方にはもってこいだと思います。

I have lived in Hawaii since 1985. My niece from Indiana visited for a week. I took her on the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner Cruise, having never been on it myself. I didn't know what to expect. It was awesome! We both loved it. The pre-boarding hula & Hawaiian music, the on-board entertainment, the food, the views and the friendly staff were all very enjoyable. When other friends and family come to visit, I will be sure to take them. It was the highlight of my niece's visit!

Love, love, loved the dinner cruise. This was our first time in Hawaii and I must say I am happy that we chose this as one of the activities to attend to. From the very beginning when we got picked up from the hotel, welcoming at the cruise ship, dinner, entertainment and fireworks, this is definitely a night that will be forever cherished. The staff was amazingly helpful and attentive especially our table server Rosey, she constantly made sure we had enough crab (purchased steak and all you can eat crab meal) and glasses were filled with drinks. Just AWESOME!!! The music and performers were great as well. At the end of the night we watched fireworks out on the deck. Overall my husband and I had a most memorable evening and recommend if you have not already done so this is one of the a Hawaii activities you don't want to miss!!!

Second cruise. 2度目のクルーズ

This was my second cruise, having taken one 10 years ago. Basically, the content hadn't changed. However, the prices had gone up. The weather was nice, so the sunset was very beautiful. Communication in Japanese was easy, and the staff were friendly. I knew the meeting place was Aloha Tower, but considering the return trip, I requested a shuttle. It was easier than going by myself.

10年前に乗り、2度目のクルーズでした。基本的には内容は変わっていなかったです。ただ値段が高くなってました。天気が良かったので、サンセットがとても綺麗でした。日本語で普通に通じるから困らないし、スタッフが親切です。集合場所のアロハタワーはわかっていましたが帰りの事を考えて、送迎を頼みました。自分で行くより楽でした。
