I expected this, but… reluctantly due to my wife's wishes. For three of us, including the kids, it was over 80,000 yen, and we didn't even have alcohol.

We made our way through the crowded ship, mixed in with the tour guests, and took our seats. The food was about what you'd expect for the price. Since it was high-quality ingredients, it was hard to go wrong. However, the appetizers were served buffet-style in the outer corridor, which felt a bit cheap. The same goes for the desserts.

The staff, made up of part-timers gathered for a large group event, were trying to manage everything quickly due to time constraints, so everything was just okay.

The stage show with hula and other performances was a bit disappointing. It seems there might be a shortage of talent. In the end, they tried to pump up the energy with "Young Man," but it felt forced.

What was somewhat nice was the view from the ship and the atmosphere during departure. Being on a ship is enjoyable in itself.

Despite the exchange rate, I still feel it was expensive for what we got.

Lastly, a few good points…

Since it's a large ship, it doesn't sway, so no seasickness. The service was not too bad, although it was a bit chaotic. They had a photo service where a photographer came around to take pictures, and they were ready by the time we disembarked, with no extra charge.

Still… if you include parking fees, it came close to 100,000 yen. There are better ways to spend that money for more satisfaction, right?

Oh, and I panicked when the Aloha Tower parking lot was full. I looked around but couldn't find any alternatives… If you're renting a car, make sure to allow some extra time!

ツアー客に紛れてすし詰状態の船内を進み着席。
食事はまあ、値段通り。
高級食材なので外しようがないけど。
あ、でも前菜は外廊下のブッフェ台に取り行くとか、チープな感じ。デザートも同様。

大人数の宴席を寄せ集めたアルバイトスタッフで、時間制約がある中でガンガン回すので、そりゃもうそれなりですよね、全てが。

フラ等のステージショーは少し残念でしたね。
やはり人材不足なのか。
最後はヤングマンで強引に盛り上げようと力技。

少し良かったのは
船上からの眺めや出航時の雰囲気。
船っていうのは、それだけで気持ちいい。

レートの関係があるものの
やっぱり高い、値段の割にはという感想が強くなります。


最後に良い点を少し…

大型船なので揺れません、船酔い無し。
接客等、さほど悪くないです。バタバタしてますが。
写真のサービス、カメラマンが回ってきて撮影。下船時までに仕上げてくれ、追加料金無し。

まあそれでも…
駐車料金も含めたら、10万近く。
もう少し満足度の高い使い方出来ますよね笑

そうそう！
アロハタワーの駐車場が満車になっていて焦りました。
周りも探しましたが見当たらず…
レンタカーの方は少し余裕を持って行きましょう！

Food:
The quality was commensurate with the price, and the main steak was very delicious.

Service:
The staff's response was polite and good. I think it's reassuring for those who are not good at English since there are Japanese menus and program sheets available.

Live Show:
In addition to dance performances like Hawaiian and Polynesian, there was a live show. However, the talk corner that involved the audience during the show might not be enjoyable for those who cannot speak English or who are not accustomed to the Western style of interaction.

Air Conditioning:
This was the biggest point of concern and a major factor that lowered my rating. The air conditioning was set to a very low temperature, and especially in the lower decks, it was very cold due to being closed off. When I communicated this to the staff, they responded that they could not adjust the air conditioning or provide blankets. Although prior notices mentioned to prepare a jacket, I strongly recommend bringing a jacket, especially a thick one, if you are sensitive to cold when participating in this dinner.
*The upper deck did not have air conditioning as it was open to the outside, so the outside temperature was felt directly.

If you take care of the air conditioning issue, you can fully enjoy the entertainment and food, and if it's a Friday, you can see the weekly fireworks from the ship.

ライブショー:
ハワイアン・ポリネシアンなどのダンスパフォーマンスに加え、ライブショーを行なった。ただ、ショーの合間にあった、客を巻き込んだトークコーナーは英語が出来ない方、欧米特有のノリに乗れない人は楽しめないかもしれません。

空調:
最大の注意点にして、評価を下げた大きな要因
空調の設定温度が非常に低く設定されており、
特に下層の船室は閉めきられているせいもあり、
非常に寒かった。
スタッフにその旨伝えても、空調の調節やブランケットなどの対応は出来ないと回答された。
事前の案内でも上着を用意するように記載されているが、こちらのディナーに参加する際は必ず上着、の持参、特に寒がりの方は厚手のものを持参する事を推奨します。
※上層階は船室ではなく吹き通しであった為、
　そもそも空調がなく外気温そのままでした。

空調の対策さえ、気をつければエンタメや食事は
充分楽しめる上、金曜日であれば毎週恒例の花火を
船上から見る事ができます。

I finally experienced the cruise and show I had been looking forward to. The view of Waikiki Beach from the ship was amazing, and starting with welcome champagne, the delicious lobster was truly satisfying! I also enjoyed some wine and had a great time enjoying various Hawaiian shows! (If you're prone to seasickness, I recommend taking some medication beforehand...)

I had a great time even before departure, and the scenery after the ship set sail was wonderful. After enjoying delicious lobster and steak, the interactive show really boosted my spirits. I felt warm both inside and out, and I definitely recommend this if you're going to Oahu.

Missed the Boat

Sadly due to traffic I missed the boat by a minute I had checked how long it would take to get there when planning my leave time and I was quoted 45 every time when I was staying only 25 miles away however traffic was crazy and it ended up being an hour and a half drive we pulled into parking at exactly 1745 and the boat was pulling out as I was running to it. Gave a rating of Good because the boat left exactly on time and if I had been on board that would have been great

My husband and I participated on New Year's Eve. I thought the course meal was too much, so we opted for the buffet and decided to eat a little bit of what we liked. The welcome drink, Mai Tai, was orange-based and very delicious. After taking sunset photos on the deck, it was time for dinner. The people at the tables were called in order to go get their food, so it didn't feel crowded. We had salad, and the main dishes were something like teriyaki chicken, coconut curry stew with white fish, and roast beef that was sliced right there. The roast beef had various seasonings to choose from, including soy sauce. It didn't feel extravagant, but we were very satisfied and full. There were also cakes and fruits. We had pre-ordered a bottle of red wine as an option, and it arrived right on time during the meal. After that, it was showtime. They probably had shows for about 30 people at a time, coming around one after another. The music was pleasant, and I think it was Polynesian dance? We enjoyed the Hawaiian vibe. At the end, everyone danced along to the music. Since it was YMCA, my husband joined in enthusiastically. I would love to participate again.

音楽も心地良く、ポリネシアンダンスというのかしら？ハワイ感を満喫。最後は、みんなで曲に合わせて踊り。ＹＭＣＡだったので、夫もノリノリで参加していました。また参加したいなあと思います。

Since it was Christmas Eve, I traveled to Hawaii alone, but I booked a cruise dinner this time.

It was close and quick to the port from Waikiki.

I wanted to see the fireworks from the Hilton on Friday, so I compared various cruises. After a long time in Hawaii, with rising prices, I found this plan that included a dinner buffet and Polynesian dance music to be very satisfying and a great deal. The fireworks were beautiful as well.

What I could have done better:
1. I should have opted for a course meal instead of the buffet, even if it was a bit more expensive. The course meal is on the third floor, while the buffet is on the second floor. Since the buffet requires waiting in line, I was still getting dessert when the sunset happened, so I only managed to see the last bit of it.
2. I should have chosen a plan with transportation included. It was unclear how to change it later, so I gave up. I mistakenly thought the departure location was near the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which is common for other cruises, so I thought I could walk there, but it turned out to be at the Aloha Center. The area is a bit unsafe at night. I think the transportation fee would have been cheaper than ordering an Uber.

金曜日のヒルトンの花火を会場から見たい！という気持ちからいろいろなクルーズを比較してみたのですが、久しぶりのハワイで、物価もあがってるなか、ディナーブッフェ付きでクルーズそしてポリネシアンダンス音楽を楽しめるこちらのプランは大満足でお得でした。花火も綺麗でした。
失敗した点は、
1.ブッフェより少し高くてもコース料理にしたらよかった。
コース料理は3階。ブッフェは2階。
ブッフェだと並ぶので夕日の時間にはまだデザートをとる時間だったので、慌てて夕日の最後しか見れませんでした。
2.送迎付きプランにすべきでした。後から変更する方法がわかりづらく諦めました。出港場所を勝手に他のクルーズがよくあるヒルトンハワイアンビレッジ近くだと思っていたので、歩いて行けると思ってたら、アロハセンターでした。夜は少し治安悪い場所です。
Uber頼むより送迎料金の方が安かったと思います。

When I asked my friends what is the best thing to do in Hawaii, most of them mentioned the sunset cruise they went on for their honeymoon, so I decided to go for my first trip to Hawaii for our 30th wedding anniversary. On 12/19/23 I went on Star of Honolulu, and participated in the Pacific Star Buffet Package. Finding the boat was easy due to it's large size. Walking up we were greeted by real hula dancers, that really set the vibe for the evening. Upon boarding the ship there was staff along the way that assisted in finding your section.

The ship is very large in size, and was so much fun to explore. The top deck was my favorite part, but definitely bring a sweater it can get a bit chilly! I recommend visiting the top deck as the sun is setting for your perfect kodak moment on the water, and once again when it gets' dark to see the beautiful city lights, and view of Diamond Head Crater.

The severs were very studious, and genuine when checking on our table. The buffet line went very quickly, hardly a wait at all! The food was delicious, with many options for all dietary needs. Being mainly plant based I was impressed by all the plant based sides, my favorite was the tofu salad! They even have a vegan patty upon request.

The show, and production was very engaging for the whole family. If you are traveling with a large group including children, I recommend the Pacific Star package there is something for everyone!

Guaranteed window-side or private seating! We participated in the 3-star (lobster & steak) experience with my husband.

First, we got off the shuttle bus and entered the ship, but there was no guide, and we didn't know where to go. Following the crowd to the second floor, we were told, "You are on the first floor," and after going down, we still didn't know which room or seat to go to. We finally managed to find a staff member who helped us get to our seats.

Later, I realized that the sticker given on the shuttle bus had the floor number written on it... However, with hundreds of people boarding, I really wished there had been some guidance on where to go when we got on the ship.

Then, the toast performance started right away, but our glasses were empty, and we toasted with empty glasses. I thought they would come to take drink orders, but the servers were too busy, and it was impossible. ドリンクの注文は聞きに来てくれるだろうと待ってましたが、サーバーが忙しくしていて全然無理。ロブスターを運んできた時にドリンクオーダーをお願いしたがちょっと待ってと言われ、なかなか来ず。隣の席の人のドリンクを運んできた時に再度声かけてやっと注文できました。そのときに乾杯のシャンパンがなかった旨伝えましたが、その後持ってくることはありませんでした。
やっとドリンクが来ましたが、私はノンアルを頼んだのに飲んだら明らかにアルコールが入っていてトホホ…。変えてもらおうにもずっとサーバーが忙しくしていて無理。ステーキを運んできたときに、注文したものと違うから変えてほしいと伝えました。が待ってもやはり来ず。メイン食べてる時にもドリンクが一滴も飲めていないという状況、私もうセルフのお水飲みました（苦笑）。私の注文はもう諦め、ステーキのお皿を下げにきた時に主人の2杯目のドリンクを注文したけど、これまた最後まで運ばれることはありませんでした。プランには1人2杯のドリンクが含まれていますが、2時間の乗船で2杯飲むことは不可能だと感じました。
ちなみに英語は堪能ではありませんが、ある程度の会話はできます。
ハワイには何回か行っていますので、日本のようなサービスを期待してはいませんが、なんかガッカリでした。
窓側席でしたが、1階の窓は水しぶきで汚れてますので、窓越しに写真なんて撮れません。
ちなみにパフォーマンスの方はみんなを楽しませようと頑張っていました。
くもりでサンセットは残念ながら見れませんでしたが、ワイキキを海側から見る機会はないので景色や夜景は素敵でした。
良い口コミが多いので、私がハズレに当たっただけかもしれませんが、送迎付き2人で約66,000円、誰かにオススメもできませんし、リピートはないです。
