Last time I participated, I gave it one star because I couldn't attend, so this time I was looking forward to participating and giving it five stars. However, during the optional tour to Tantalus Lookout, the guide was just standing there, and we were left waiting without any roll call. I would have appreciated information like "We will depart in a few minutes" or "There are no restrooms at the location, so please go now." There was a participant with their grandchild who needed to use the restroom.

What shocked me was that, even though we paid for the tour, there were two people who didn't check in and ended up joining the optional tour. I overheard them saying, "We accidentally got on the van, but we got to see the night view from Tantalus Lookout, so it worked out for us." I think they need to improve in that area. That part was very unpleasant.

オプションツアーで付けたタンタラスの丘では、案内をする男性の方がただ立っているだけで、参加する方を只々一緒に待たされ、点呼を取る事もありませんでした。
「何分後に出発します」とか「現地にトイレが無いので今のうちに行っておいて下さい」とか欲しかったです。
お孫さんと参加されていた方で現地でお孫さんがトイレに行きたがっていたので・・・。

ショックだったのが、こちらは代金を支払っているのに点呼を取っていないから参加しない方がオプショナルツアーに２人参加して来た事です。
「間違えてバンに乗っちゃったけど、タンタラスの丘の夜景が見られて得しちゃったね」って話していたので分かりました。
そういう所はちゃんとして頂きたいと思います。そこだけはとても不愉快でした。

I used the service in mid-August 2017. Since it was a busy season, I debated whether to request a window seat, but I decided not to, and it turned out there weren't many users, so all groups were by the window. There were about 15 groups in total, with 80% being Japanese couples and families (all adults). Since there were no small children, it wasn't noisy, and we could board calmly. The meal was also delightful. Everyone participated with a dress code, which created a wonderful atmosphere with those around us. We could go out to the deck and take photos at any time, and the next dish was served just as we returned to our seats. Given the high price, the hospitality was excellent. We enjoyed our meal while listening to jazz, sipping drinks, and watching the sunset, making it a perfect time for our anniversary. Personally, I prefer to have meals in a relaxed atmosphere, so it was great to indulge. The food was indeed delicious, made with fresh ingredients, but it wasn't outstandingly delicious (laughs). Additionally, I participated in a wheelchair, and the transportation included a bus with a lift, and there was an elevator on board, making the third deck accessible, and I could reach the restroom in a wheelchair as well. Overall, it was a wonderful time that created lovely memories during my trip to Hawaii.

２０１７年8月半ばに利用しました、繁忙期になので窓際を指定するか悩みましたが指定せずに参加したところ利用者が多くなかったので全グループが窓際でした。5スターは15組ほどで、8割が日本人のご夫婦やご家族（全員成人）でした。小さなお子さんはいませんのでギャーギャーワチャワチャ騒騒しいこともなく、落ち着いて乗船できました。食事も堪能できました。全員ドレスコードでの参加ですので、周りの方との雰囲気もすごく良かったです。好きな時間にデッキに出て写真を撮ることができます、席に戻ったタイミングで次の料理を提供してくれました、高い金額を払っている分おもてなしは素晴らしいです。ジャズを聴きながらの食事、お酒を嗜み、日が沈む光景を見ながら記念日に最高の時間を過ごすことができました。個人的にはゆっくり落ち着いた雰囲気で食事をしたいタイプなので贅沢してよかったです。新鮮な材料を使っているのでたしかに食事はどれもおいしいですが、絶賛するほどおいしいほどでもありませんでした（苦笑）また、車椅子で参加しましたが送迎もリフト付きのバス、乗船内にもエレベーターがあり３階デッキもバリアフリーになっていてお手洗いも車椅子で行けました。
トータルするとハワイの旅では、素敵な思い出になる素晴らしい時間になりました。

This cruise is very relaxing and gives you the opportunity to calm down and enjoy the evening in a friendly and family oriented environment, specially if you have already done lots of adventurous activities elsewhere. I definitely recommend to go on this cruise as part of your Oahu trip. We saw lots of couples and families and they all seemed to be enjoying the cruise, specially during the sunset. In addition, the food was pretty good too. It included several options and there was plenty so I think you won't leave the boat hungry. If I go back to Oahu, I will go back on this cruise again specially towards the end of my trip to chill, relax, and take good sunset pictures.

I didn't mind the rocking of the boat at all. The meals were also very delicious. They were considerate with the timing, allowing us to go up to the deck to watch the sunset just after finishing the main dish. We enjoyed watching the sun set leisurely, then returned to our seats for dessert, and the show began. In the end, we all danced together, creating wonderful memories. I had the most amazing time.

Since the participants are dressed quite casually, I recommend wearing pants. After arriving at the bay, you will exchange your boarding pass and drink voucher, and board the catamaran! There is no Japanese support, and all explanations are in English, but I was able to find out the location of the life jackets and the restroom on the boat. Drinks start as soon as we set sail! There are two sizes available, but the smaller one is sufficient.

After departure, it was quite rocky until we got out to sea, but that’s part of the experience! The catamaran has nets over the bow where you can sit, but we were too scared to try it. The dinner was more on the Asian side and tasted great. I was pleasantly surprised by the large cookie they handed out later.

However, there wasn't anyone on the crew who spoke Japanese, so I wished there had been at least one. But you can definitely enjoy the scenery!

My wife and I enjoyed a very nice sunset dinner cruise the other night in the Makani catamaran. The night started off with a friendly driver picking us up at our hotel and bringing us to the boat. The only criticism of the whole night (very minor) is that we arrived at the boat around 4:40 but we're not able to "Check in" until 5 even though the girl was sitting in the booth waiting until 5. So rather than checking in as people arrived we now had an awkward line waiting to check in. Then we waited another 15-20 minutes to board the boat. Like I said, minor but the timing could have been better. Once aboard, the crew was great and got us quickly out of the harbor to enjoy the amazing views of the city and mountains. The food was as expected, a decent buffet. The drinks were good and reasonably priced.
What you are paying for is the views and that sunset! That was worth every penny on our trip. The catamaran boat let you enjoy the experience a lot more as you are free to move around and sit on the front netting.

During our stay, we were blessed with good weather, but on the last night, we had planned a slightly luxurious dinner cruise... only to be surprised by rain! Since our seats were on the inside, we couldn't enjoy the night view, but the crew kept the atmosphere lively, making the time fly by. The kids also had fun dancing. As for the food, it was disappointing that the crab refills didn't come around often and the steak was tough. I think it's fine if you're looking to enjoy the atmosphere.

Every time I come to Waikiki, I've thought about going on a sunset cruise on a yacht, but since my wife gets seasick, we only had the option of larger cruise ships that don't sway much. However, this time I decided to go for it and made a reservation.

The yacht was larger than those docked in Waikiki and hardly swayed at all. However, because of the sea breeze, a hat might feel tight. Being close to the water allows you to truly experience the beauty of Waikiki's sea. The bow of the yacht has a net, making it even closer to the water and more enjoyable. There are also light snacks available in a buffet style, and they suited the Japanese palate well.

I noticed that most of the guests were American, with only a few Japanese, along with some Korean couples and Chinese families. The four staff members were also American, and since all the explanations were in English, there were some things we didn't understand due to our limited English skills, but it wasn't a major issue. If we could speak English, we could have chatted more friendly with various people.

Unlike large cruise ships, I especially recommend this for couples who want a quiet and romantic atmosphere. Of course, there are clean restrooms available, which is reassuring.

ワイキキに来る度に、ヨットでのサンセットクルーズしたいなと何度か思いつつ、妻が船酔いするため？、揺れの無い大きいクルーズ船しかありませんでしたが、今回思い切って予約。
ワイキキに停泊してるヨットよりも大きく、ほとんど大きくゆれませんでした。但し海風を受けるため、帽子はきついかも。海面に近い為、ワイキキの海を身近に感じヨットの良さが体験出来ます。特に船首はネットになっており更に海面がより近く楽しいです。軽食もバイキングで好きなだけ何度も食べれます。日本人の味にあってました。
気になったのは、ほとんどがアメリカ人で、日本人は数名、あとは韓国人カップルと中国人親子でした。
スタッフ4名もアメリカ人で説明は全て英語な為、英語が不得意な私達は分からない事がありましたが、特に問題はありませんでした。英語が話せれば色々な人達とフレンドリーに話せるのになぁ。
大きい客船とは違い、静かにムードにしたりたいカップルには特にお薦めです。勿論水洗トイレも完備で安心ですよ。

I participated with my family and my friends' family. After reading the reviews, I wanted to give it more than one star, so I booked a one-star reservation for the lobster and crab, as the kids wanted crab!

When we waited at the front entrance of the nearby hotel, the van arrived on time. There were ten of us in total, sharing with other guests, and it was fully booked (laughs). We arrived at the location without stopping at other hotels.

After arriving, we waited a little in line to board the boat, but it wasn't too crowded, and we smoothly got on board.

We were seated on the first floor, where there weren't many guests, and the empty seats were noticeable. The waitress quickly brought us our welcome drinks and asked if we wanted alcoholic or non-alcoholic options, and I had one. When the main dishes of crab and steak were served, the staff helped the kids with the crab, making it easier for them to eat using scissors. They assisted all five kids.

Additionally, during the dance, the staff came over to the kids and encouraged them to participate (it seemed they felt the kids might not join voluntarily), and all five of them ended up dancing and forming a circle, which made them very happy. メインのカニとステーキが運ばれてきて、子供たちがカニに苦戦していると、スタッフの方が子供たちのカニをハサミを使ったりして食べやすいようにしてくれました。子供５人分すべてしていただきました。
また、その方はダンスの時に子供たちのところにきてくれて、ダンスに参加させてくれて （自主的に参加しないだろうと感じたらしく）、最後まで５人とも輪になったりダンスしたりと、とても喜んでいました。
ウェイトレスの方も最初から最後まで子供たちのことを気にかけてくれて、ナイフが落ちてもすぐに新しいものを持ってきてくれたり、話掛けて楽しませてくれたり、ダンスのときは子供たちに一生懸命に笑顔で手を振って子供たちにダンスを教えるように踊ってくれたりしていただきました。
VELTRAさんからのメールで、チップをお願いしますとのことでしたが、チップを置いている人はいませんでした。
私は、子供たちのことを一生懸命に楽しませてくれたり子供たちも最高に楽しかったと言っていてとても満足したので、カニを処理してくれたスタッフの方とウェイトレスの方に直 接チップをお渡ししました。
サンセットは天気も良くてばっちり見られました！
子供たちがまた行きたい！と言っているのでハワイに行ったときはまた予約したいと思います。

We visited Hawaii for our honeymoon. We debated whether to choose a 3-star or a 5-star hotel, and ultimately decided on the 5-star option since we wanted to make the most of our trip.

When we went outside to see the sunset and the night view, the crowd outside was quite different, so I felt that choosing the 5-star hotel was the right decision.

If I had to say something, I would have preferred a bit more distance between the seats next to us, but overall, I was satisfied and would like to use this hotel again.

I took my nearly 80-year-old parents and small children with me. From before boarding, there were smiles, friendly greetings, and uplifting interactions and dances that got everyone excited, both the children and my parents. The staff, including those serving food, truly made an effort to "entertain us!" which allowed us to enjoy the entire experience from the heart. Since it was Friday, we also got to see fireworks, and the dance we all did at the end made the children very happy.

We participated in this cruise as the start of my cousin's bachelor party and boy what a great way to start it out! The catamaran was so cool, there was plenty of room for everyone, the staff was helpful and very friendly, and the views were breathtaking. We even saw a sea turtle at the end! The staff made it so fun and made some pretty good drinks to boot. The appetizers were not great, but that is not why we were on the cruise. It was a relaxing and easy cruise right off the pier and around Diamond Head. The sunset views were beautiful. I would highly recommend taking a sunset Waikiki Sail on the Spirit of Aloha.

I wanted to experience a slightly luxurious dinner cruise for our honeymoon, so I participated. I was really looking forward to it, but it was disappointing.

First of all, the boat was really small. There were about 30 passengers, including us, and once we sat down, it was quite cramped. The dinner was a buffet style. The taste was okay, but it was just simple light snacks. It wasn't what you would call a dinner cruise; it felt more like a light snack cruise. The variety of drinks was good, and there were plenty of alcoholic options.

The boat swayed quite a bit, so if you're prone to seasickness, taking motion sickness medication is a must.

ディナーはバイキング形式。味はまぁまぁ美味しかったですが、簡単な軽食です。ディナークルーズと呼べるものではありません。軽食付きクルーズです。ドリンクの種類は豊富でよかったです。お酒もたくさんありました。

かなり揺れるので船酔いする方は酔い止め必須です。
クルーズの内容としては、サンセットが綺麗で素敵でした。ダイアモンドヘッドを背景に写真が撮れたのはよかったです。係員の方が写真を撮りましょうかと声を掛けて下さりました。ただ、期待が大きかった分、思ったよりロマンチックな感じではなく、カジュアルなクルーズでした。
私たちは正装で行きましたが、周りは外国人ばかりでみんなビーチサンダルとかラフな感じだったので、浮いてしまいました。
気楽にクルーズを楽しみたい方には向いているツアーだと思います。
ロマンチックな雰囲気を求める方や、王道のディナークルーズを期待する方は、有名なスターオブホノルルとかにした方がいいです。

I chose the buffet style. In a room with a pleasant number of people, we toasted with champagne. A large rainbow appeared, and we enjoyed the dazzling view of the slowly setting sun. It was also the day of the fireworks display, and we thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. The hula dance show and the Hawaiian singing of the ukulele player were unexpectedly wonderful. At the end, everyone formed a circle and danced together to conclude the event. It became a fun and great memory.
