We boarded the Star 3 as a couple.

【Arrival】
Since we were at the Sheraton Waikiki, it was great that the bus came right up to the hotel, but I felt that the bus fare was a bit pricey. On top of that, there were hundreds of people at the meeting point, which made it very crowded.

【Boarding】
After boarding, the Star 3 had dining on the second floor, but it was obviously crowded and fully booked. It wasn't a relaxed dining experience.

【Food】
The food was tasty, but not exceptionally so—just average, I would say. The lobster was delicious, but difficult to handle... It also takes time to get drinks once you order, so be careful.

【Scenery】
The sunset on the horizon and the night view were very beautiful. However, everyone tends to take photos at the same time for the sunset, which makes it crowded.

【景色】
水平線に沈む夕日や、夜景などは非常に綺麗だった。
ただし、夕日などのタイミングはみんな同じように写真を
撮影するので混雑します。

【ショー】
楽しかったし、非常に盛り上がっていた。
今回、ハワイでこういったショーを見に行く予定を立ててなかったので
非常に楽しくて、良い体験ができた。

まぁ、感想としては普通だなぁーといった感じ。
次回ハワイに来るときは参加しなくても良いかな。といった感じ。

I boarded the same ship as I did about 15 years ago. Last time, I only remember enjoying a course meal and admiring the breathtaking views, but this time, we opted for the buffet course. It was the right choice. The crew provided the best entertainment. They performed hula dancing until we reached the port, and towards the end, the passengers joined in the dancing and took photos together.

On the lower deck, they were having a course meal, but it didn't seem very lively. I'm glad we chose the buffet, and my family and I returned home with smiles, saying it was the best dinner cruise ever.

I thought there wouldn't be much rocking since it's a large ship that can hold hundreds of people, but it swayed more than I imagined.

If you're prone to motion sickness, it's better to take some medication.

The speed is slow, which makes the swaying even more noticeable.

We participated as a pair, but the two-person tables were already taken, so we shared a round table with someone who came alone.

You can see the sunset right after departure, so it's best to take photos right after having your meal. (The sunset goes down quickly.)

The buffet is set up for each table, and after that, you can take what you like, but when I thought about going for a second serving, it had already been cleared away.

If you're going to eat, it's better to secure your food early!

My wife and I booked this during our honeymoon and definitely enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious, the view was spectacular and gave us plenty of picture opportunities at sunset on the back of the ship! We definitely enjoyed the on board entertainment with the hula dancers, the gentleman on the ukelele, solo vocalist, pianist and they even had a saxophone player who dabbled in the art of the jazz flute! What a great night out!!

I signed up in June. The weather was perfect, and it was the best sunset cruise. The lobster was incredibly delicious. When the sunset came, I was busy taking photos and couldn't eat calmly (laughs). However, there were many people who enjoyed their meals slowly while watching the hula show, and towards the end, everyone was really excited. The view of Diamond Head from the boat was also lovely.

I think the staff who brought the meals had a tough time, but the 3-star (Lobster & Steak) was not worth the tour price. Moreover, even though I upgraded to a window seat, I was appalled by the poor manners of a young Japanese couple sitting nearby. Taking selfies is fine, but with them constantly taking selfies right in front of me, I wondered why I even upgraded. I was expecting a calm cruise while listening to music, but what was with that festive atmosphere? This was also due to many young Japanese. It was truly a disappointing tour.

食事を運んでくれたスタッフは大変だったと思いますが、３スター（ロブスター&ステーキ）はツアー料金ほど期待できるものではなかった。また、せっかく窓際の席にランクを上げたのに、同じ日本人の若いカップルのマナーの悪さにはあきれてしまった。記念の自撮りもいいが、次から次と目の目で自撮りをされては、何のためにランクを上げたのだろうか。そして、音楽を聴きながら穏やかなクルーズと思っていましたが、なんだ、あのお祭り気分のはしゃぎようは。これも多くの若い日本人。

I participated with the option for a two-person seating. I wasn't sure about the initial crackers and cheese & fruits, but the lobster, steak, and dessert afterwards were GOOD. The lobster, in particular, was nice! The drinks were also easy to order since they were on a ticket system.

The service was in English the whole time, but I think I was able to understand the content. Since I participated on a Friday, I was able to enjoy various music genres like jazz, pop, and Hawaiian until the fireworks time, and the show after the fireworks was very well done, making it a lot of fun.

During the meal, we took a two-shot photo, and with the two-person seating option, we received a framed photo before leaving. I opted for the transportation service, but it was a bit pricey ($15 for two people, totaling $30).

I was looking forward to the crab, but it was simply at the level of "if you hope for it, you can get more served." It's clearly different from the typical "all-you-can-eat" in Japan. It's somewhat of an exaggeration, and I think there's an issue with Beltora for allowing that.

We took the cruise for my daughter's birthday and she said it was her best birthday ever. The music set the mood for a really fun night. The drinks were great and definitely not watered down! The food was really good and plenty of it! It was the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. The staff was super friendly and fun. The fireworks at the end of the night was a perfect way to end an amazing evening. I wouldn't think twice about booking this again on our next visit to Hawaii, it was the highlight of our trip! Thank you!

I'm really glad I came to Hawaii and took this sunset cruise! The crew members were very friendly and spoke Japanese, and the food was delicious. The welcome drink you receive at the beginning is really cute. When you go to the deck, the wind can be strong and mess up your hair, but if the timing is right, you can take amazing photos with the sunset in the background. Along the way, there was a performance by hula dancers and singers, and at the end, the guests joined in to dance together, which was so much fun! I made wonderful memories.

船上員の方々はとてもフレンドリーで日本語も喋れますし、お料理も美味しかったです。
最初に渡されるウェルカムドリンクがとても可愛いですよ。
デッキに行くと風が強いため髪の毛が乱れますが、タイミングが合えばサンセットを背景に素晴らしい写真が撮れます。
途中、フラダンサーの方と歌ってる方によるパフォーマンスがあり、最後はゲストも参加して全員で踊ったりと、とても楽しかったです！！素晴らしい思い出が作れました。

During my 7-day stay in Hawaii, I arranged various optional tours, but the sunset dinner cruise was the most memorable. The boat is a slightly larger catamaran yacht, so there was hardly any rocking, allowing us to enjoy the sunset in a calm atmosphere. In Hawaii, there are many Japanese tourists everywhere, and while there are tours with a 100% participation rate of Japanese people, this tour had a lower percentage of Japanese guests, which made it enjoyable to converse with multilingual tourists in English.

However, there are a couple of downsides:
1. Although it's called a buffet, it's not an all-you-can-eat experience. For example, there are restrictions like "two pieces per person." It means you can eat what you like, but only in specified quantities. Japanese people might associate buffet with all-you-can-eat, so this is something to be aware of.
2. At the check-in counter, Westerners were allowed to check in before the designated time, while Japanese guests were told to "wait until the time," which felt discriminatory. After persistent negotiation, I was finally allowed to check in, but for Japanese guests with limited English skills, they might end up feeling helpless. Since boarding is done in the order of check-in, securing your spot is very important.

難点は、
①ビュフェとありますが、いわゆる食べ放題ではありません。たとえば「これは一人二個まで」などの制限があります。「好きなものを決まった分量まで食べてよいですよ」という意味です。日本人はビュフェ＝食べ放題というイメージでしょうから注意が必要です。
②チェックインカウンターでは、西洋人はチェックイン開始時間前に受付していながら、日本人は「時間までまて」と差別を受けました。しつこく交渉してやっと受付てもらえましたが、英語力のない日本人だと泣き寝入りでしょう。受付順に乗船して席を確保しますので、受付順は非常に重要です。
