On the day we participated (January 2), we were fortunate as there were only six groups (12 people) on our floor, allowing us to enjoy the meal (especially the beef and the palate-cleansing ice cream were delicious!) and take our time to watch the sunset scene. We were able to freely and leisurely enjoy the ship.

Additionally, there were creative efforts (events) to keep the passengers entertained.

On the downside, our waiter was a bit disappointing. Despite only having three groups (six people) to serve, it took a long time for him to bring our drinks after we ordered. It made us wonder what would have happened if it had been full... There were also some minor issues, like him arriving earlier than the scheduled pickup time, which was a bit disappointing. However, I believe it’s a tour where you can thoroughly enjoy both the food and the scenery!

他にも、送迎時間を間違える（聞いていた時間より早く来た！）など、ちょっと残念なところもありましたが、食事も景色も十分楽しむことができるツアーだと思います♪

I participated in the 5-star experience as a way to show appreciation to my mother. There were plenty of drink vouchers, and I enjoyed various alcoholic beverages along with delicious food, shows, and jazz. The sunset was also beautiful, offering a different perspective than when viewed from land.

Although it's a large ship, it does sway a bit, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's best to take some motion sickness medication in advance.

Day 5 in Hawaii: We were blessed with wonderful weather and spent the afternoon playing at Waikiki beach. After taking a shower at the hotel, it was time for the sunset dinner cruise in the evening. While waiting for the pickup at the designated spot near the hotel, I was surprised to see that the vehicle was a large bus. I thought it was because there would be that many people for the boat, but when we arrived at the dock's parking lot, there were more than ten similar buses. Amazing!

Following the crowd, I boarded the ship while catching a glimpse of the welcoming hula dance and made my way to my assigned seat. After a while, the announcement was made, and we slowly set sail. Once we were out at sea, the sunset over the horizon was stunning, with the waves reflecting a beautiful red hue. I lost myself in the moment on the deck, soaking in the twilight, when my friends pointed out, "Other people are getting food from the buffet." The sunset was likely enhanced by the great weather, low humidity, and clear air.

During dinner, we stopped for a while at sea. In the cabin, there were performances of dancing and singing. On the way back, we enjoyed the night views of Waikiki and Ala Moana... The food was average, I think!

　食事中沖でしばらく停船。船室では踊り・唄などの競演。帰りの船上からは
Waikiki・ Ala moanaの夜景を堪能しながら・・・

Fireworks are the best! 花火最高

The ship was very large and it was a standard course, but the food was delicious, and I ended up going back for seconds. The bread was soft and tasty, and they served the roast beef sliced on the plate.

After finishing the meal, there was a live band that sang and started dancing, and while we were cruising, fireworks began, so I went to the deck to see them.

The fireworks at the Hilton on Friday were incredibly beautiful and moving. I want to go again.

I chose the 3-star option, and there was a whole lobster! I splurged a bit and added sparkling wine, cake, and a commemorative photo. The cake was presented as a whole, which made a big impact right away. I followed the dress code, but about half of the guests were in casual attire. It can get a bit chilly in the evenings in late December, so I recommend bringing a jacket. However, it was fine inside the ship without one.

I definitely want to include this event as an option for next time!

We participated with a friend to relieve the fatigue from the Honolulu Marathon. We had a great time taking videos and photos, and interacting with others who participated in the marathon. The ship was luxuriously designed for its size (it’s not that big, so it can sway easily). The night view of Honolulu from the sea was beautiful.

I had low expectations for the food and was prepared for the possibility of seasickness, which is why I thought, "It was as I expected." I believe it's important to read various experiences carefully and think about them, which I will elaborate on later.

Above all, newlyweds should be particularly cautious, as seasickness and the night view can be greatly affected by the weather. The day we boarded was cloudy, and the ship swayed more than I anticipated (it was unsteady enough to make walking difficult). We enjoyed ourselves without getting seasick, but I saw newlyweds who were both feeling unwell, and one was down while the other was supporting them. Depending on the weather, it could turn into a terrible tour, and it was sad to see.

Regarding the food, it was "quite disappointing." I can't say it was delicious. The cake was "just sweet" (buffet style). Even in the always-sunny Hawaii, this time of year is winter, so the wind is cool, and being on the water makes the perceived temperature even lower. As for the meals, each table had a designated staff member, and we could only order drinks from the city staff. I participated in the reasonably priced buffet type. There weren't many Japanese people, and there were a lot of lively Latin individuals. I had pre-ordered red wine, so ordering just a Mai Tai for drinks was sufficient. The food was better than I had imagined, with plenty of delicious roast beef available, and I was able to eat a lot. However, the atmosphere and shows on the upper deck are a bit different, so for those who want to create special memories, the course option would be better, while the buffet type is great for those who prefer a casual, lively experience! In the end, everyone joined in for a dance with the Latin vibe, and it was a lot of fun.

I feel like overall this was a good experience. The original booking was cancelled due to weather, but they were great about rescheduling (or cancelling altogether if we wanted) since it was weather. We went with another couple and were glad that we did. However, we did this more as a surprise and didn't have as much info as we should have (like someone not being great on boats). Despite that it was a fun experience. Like many things, it is what you make of it. The food was fine and the drinks were apparently good (I can only speak for the ones I tried but I enjoyed them). Once you get out on the water you kind of have to make your own activities since you are on a boat and that's the whole point of the experience.

If you want to have an enjoyable time on a boat, its a great experience, but if you come hoping to be entertained or something then you will be disappointed. For the price its not terrible (with the rebate). Going with a positive mindset makes for a good time. Good company also helps.

Waikiki from the sea was more beautiful than I expected. The meal was a buffet, and I ended up feeling fuller than I imagined, so I couldn't go back for seconds. The Polynesian dance show after dinner was also enjoyable. It was a time to really feel Hawaii. In the end, we all danced together, and before I knew it, we had arrived. I've visited Hawaii several times, but this was my first time participating in a cruise, and I was able to experience something different.

A friend and I both took our ladies on a surprise sunset cruise with Makani Catamaran and it was fantastic. It was definitely one of those experiences that was so much fun time flew right by.

The great thing about this catamaran cruise is that you launch out of Kewalo Basin on a slip, not off of a beach like some Waikiki cruises. This means that if you want you can really dress however you like- shoes, jeans, dresses.

Once you get on the boat, you're introduced to the crew and they go through the obligatory house-keeping topics: Crew introductions, location of bathrooms, safety items, where you can go on the boat, etc. Then they go over how food and drinks work.

Food for us was a buffet of five items: Veggie/tofu wraps, rice, potatoes, shoyu(soy sauce) and ginger chicken- which was the best in my opinion, and beef stir fry. Each item had one tray's worth of food, which was easily enough to satisfy everyone on board, although I don't believe there were any left overs. I've read reviews stating the food was a little nicer than Panda's Express, and that seems like a very fair statement.

The cruise came with one free drink. On the boat non-alcoholic drinks are $2 and alcoholic drinks are $6, and the more alcoholic ones like Long Island Iced Teas are $8. You can buy a commemorative cup for $8 which holds about twice as much as the disposable cups you would get otherwise. Our bartender made good recommendations based on what flavors I told him we were looking for.

The best part is just being out at sea with the people you're with. Aside from the crew instructions at the beginning, it's very hands-off. You just wander around the ship enjoying your company and great views. Although it can get a little windy, it's quiet enough that you can converse at a normal volume easily. If you get cold you can spend a few minutes on the inside of the boat to warm up a bit.

If this is within your budget, I highly recommend it. It's simple, clean, and fun.

I went sailing around Waikiki on the yacht Makani! I had been on several dinner cruises with the Star of Honolulu, but since it's a large ship, I didn't really feel like I was on the ocean. However, the Makani is much closer to the water, which gives you a real sense of being at sea. Once we got out a bit, it became a quiet and comfortable sailing experience.

Additionally, I had a surprise encounter with a whale! It was just a fleeting moment, so I couldn't capture it on camera, but it was truly moving to see it in such a setting. I definitely want to board again next time.

We participated in the buffet with the whole family. On this day, we had my son's wedding at the Hilton, and in the evening, the entire family went cruising. We ate, drank, and danced; it was the best day ever. The food was delicious as well. The staff were kind, and both we and the children and grandchildren had a great time. Thank you very much.

The three-star venue had no dress code, but I dressed up a bit for the outing. Choosing a window seat was a great decision since it was filled with newlyweds. When I asked the staff about the smoking area, they said it was on the aft deck. That spot was perfect for watching the sunset and the night view of Waikiki, and I took a ton of photos. At the end of the show, we had a group dance during the cha-cha, and it was a lot of fun.

The fireworks were smaller than I imagined and ended quickly. The Hawaiian food was delicious, but the crab was disappointing. I would have been satisfied with the cheapest course. Since it was December 22, it was cold, and I didn't want to go outside.
