This was my first time participating. I had a hard time deciding on the course for the meal, but since it was my first time, I went with the buffet to see what it was like. The taste was better than I had imagined, but I felt it would have been even better with a few more options.

You can choose between alcoholic and non-alcoholic Mai Tais, but I found the alcoholic version to be quite strong, and I wished I had gone with the non-alcoholic one.

The sunset was beautiful from the boat, and the night view of Waikiki from the sea was really lovely! Considering the boarding time, scenery, atmosphere, and food, I think the price is reasonable. I would love to go again if I have the chance.

I participated in the Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Pacific Star (all-you-can-eat buffet). I chose a course without seat reservations, but since I had an 11-month-old child, they guided us to a corner sofa seat, which allowed us to sit side by side facing outward and enjoy a great view. During sunset, we were taken to the upper floor, where we could see a beautiful sunset. The lobster and steak were, of course, very delicious, and the two complimentary drinks were generous in size, so we were more than satisfied. During the meal, we enjoyed lovely Hawaiian music, and after the ship docked, we watched hula and haka dances, which was very exciting. I was happy that many people interacted with my small child. It was the best memory!

My wife and I enjoyed the sunset cruise. Although it was an issue or two, they should try to be resolved the last time I took the cruise. I was able to be out on the outside on the deck at the sunset. Got to take some amazing pictures . This time we are in line for the buffet when is sunset. I think the time should be adjusted if the time is earlier when the sun sets. The whole purpose of a sunset cruise is to be able to watch the sunset and not be called to the buffet table to get your meal. My wife really enjoyed the Buffay food. She said it was very good as a picky eater. She ate a little bit of everything and enjoyed it.

I will verify the timing of other cruises before I would take the cruise again as the whole purpose was to be able to watch the sun set

There were many people from Japan, and many of them participated in aloha shirts and dresses. I think the Japanese guests probably chose the lobster course, but even the one-star option was more than satisfying! The crab legs, in particular, were very delicious!! The entertainment during the meal and the views from the cruise were also fantastic, making for great memories!! I think this tour is perfect for anniversaries and special occasions!!

Pick-up was perfect, complimentary Mai Tai was lovely, but the sunset was hard to savour in the middle of queuing, collecting food and eating! The food was okay.
We chose the trip for the sunset and traditional dancing, but the dancing was evidently lovely BUT hard to see as the girls were not raised up and one needed to look round other people and tables.
We had a nice wander to the top of the boat which was great! BUT the ‘entertainment’ was done by a guitarist who couldn’t sing above a certain pitch and girls who followed his very out of tune singing. I suppose the other passengers got up and took part, as they felt that was expected but we found that part excruciating!
Overall not worth the money.

The cruise and dinner content were satisfying. We could also see the fireworks from the Hilton from the ship.

However, the bus from the meeting point to the ship took a long time to depart, and I believe we arrived quite late compared to other guests boarding the cruise.

As for the seating, it seems that aside from the reserved seats, it was on a first-come, first-served basis, and our seats were not very good. That was disappointing.

When we arrived, the other guests already had their meals served, and the dining had already begun.

We used the 3-star window-side guaranteed plan for our honeymoon with my wife. This is my third time boarding since I was a child. The seating space on the ship is narrow, but considering the age of the ship, I think it's reasonable. Some people have given poor reviews about the food, but considering the cost of living in Hawaii, I actually think it's quite good. Plus, there are shows included with the cruise. Went on a Friday, the boat was crowded and the seating was shoulder to shoulder. I could not really see the show from where I was seated I just had to listen to it and get a glimpse whenever I could. The fireworks were nice but EVERYONE on the boat was trying to see them so you have to get out of your seat early to get a good spot to see.

For our honeymoon, we chose a 3-star cruise. To be clear, as a standalone cruise, it doesn't have many standout attractions. It's just a simple cruise where you go a little offshore, anchor, and then turn back, which isn't particularly exciting. However, when considering the overall experience of the tour, I think it offers value for the price.

We don't usually dine at high-end restaurants, but for our honeymoon, we wanted to enjoy a slightly special atmosphere in a casual way, and this was perfect for us. The food was delicious, and the shows towards the end, including hula dancing and haka, were quite impressive. We received a framed photo as a gift before leaving, which made for a lovely keepsake.

A 5-star experience that requires full formal attire is, frankly, too high a barrier for the average person in Japan for various reasons, so unless you're someone quite exceptional, I strongly recommend this 3-star option.

Overall an enjoyable sunset cruise but a bit rushed boarding the boat. We were served and eating our meal while the boat was still in dock. Our meal was the first out and surrounding tables took a while before theirs came out. Our crab leg shells were soft and impossible to crack open. Otherwise the food was enjoyable. Entertainment was fun and lively. I would recommend this experience.

Great cruise, all staff, especially our service assistant, were extremely pleasant, professional, and efficient. A very good buffet with carved roast beef, delicious chicken and fish, everything. Fireworks show a bit difficult. In order to see it well people had to run to one side of the ship, not only tilting the ship a bit but making it even more difficult for people who didn't want to dash to the side to see. This was only a minor observation.

We participated as a family with our two small children! The food was delicious, the sunset view was absolutely wonderful, and the show lasted a long time, so we were able to enjoy ourselves thoroughly without getting bored! Considering how fulfilling it was, I think it was a great value for the price. The staff were very kind to our small children as well. Great service, great value, everything was just amazing, so our family decided to leave a tip on our way out! Of course, tipping was not mandatory. The next time we go to Hawaii, we definitely want to make a reservation again!

The perfect sunset cruise! Beautiful view of Honolulu. Great buffet and great crew. Great live music and Luau performance. Nice experience to share with family and friends.
Dinner food was superb also, you get a free drink (Mai Tai) on the house.
The top deck is a great spot for pictures and videos of sunset and Waikiki Beach.
We had such a Great time.
