I ended up lining up at the wrong meeting point for a different catamaran and was shocked when they told me just before boarding, "Your voucher is wrong! You're supposed to be at a different place!" I dashed barefoot across the sandy beach and just made it in time (laughs). The sunset was amazing, and there were few Japanese people on board, no children, so I was able to enjoy an adult atmosphere.

It was a bit nerve-wracking, but I definitely recommend the catamaran over the cruise!

I experienced sunset sailing for the first time this time! The staff were very friendly and had great energy. It seemed there was someone celebrating a birthday among the other guests, and we all sang Happy Birthday to celebrate! As sunset approached, we stopped the boat and waited for the sun to set while enjoying drinks. Watching the sunset over the ocean while feeling the Hawaiian breeze was truly wonderful and moving. I would love to participate again when I visit Hawaii!

We boarded the boat from the beach and set off!! Be careful of the waves, or you might get wet up to your knees. Inside the boat, it's barefoot. Flip-flops are recommended!

I was really looking forward to my first sunset sailing, but unfortunately, the weather was bad, and I couldn't see the sunset painted in bright red. However, I was glad to catch a glimpse of the orange sun peeking through the clouds. I recommend wearing easy-to-remove shoes since your feet will get wet when boarding. On the boat, you are first served a Mai Tai, and after that, you can order various alcoholic drinks at your leisure. The staff were cheerful and very kind, and there was a performance, making for a fun time. There is no restroom on board, but it seems quite narrow; however, I think it's still manageable. I would definitely consider doing this again next time.

初めてのサンセットセ―リング、すごく楽しみにしていましたがお天気が悪かったため、真っ赤に染まる夕日は見ることが出来ませんでした。しかし、ほんの少し、雲の切れ間から太陽のオレンジ色を見ることが出来て良かったです。乗船するときに足が濡れるため、脱ぎやすい靴がいいと思います。船上では、最初にマイタイを配ってもらえますが、その後は好きなタイミングでいろんなアルコールをオーダーできます。スタッフの皆さんは陽気でとても優しく、パフォーマンスもあり楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
トイレは入っていませんが、かなり狭いようですが入れないことはないと思います。また、次回もお願いすると思います。

However, since it was a Friday sailing, the fireworks off the Hilton matched perfectly with the night view and were absolutely amazing! Also, the captain's entertaining performance while we enjoyed our drinks was great!

Before departure, there was quite a heavy rain and rough seas, so I thought it might be canceled. However, against the backdrop of whitecaps, we set sail. Since it was a catamaran, I felt there was less rocking. When the weather is bad, it can get very cold on the boat, so it's good to have something to wear. Also, because of the all-you-can-drink option, if you get carried away and drink too much, you'll find yourself needing the restroom more often. There is indeed a type of restroom located on the left side of the bow that you enter from below. However, you have to go down a ladder of about 1 meter (and it's quite cramped inside), so those with mobility issues or elderly individuals should be extra careful.

I have used Sunset Sailing several times, but during busy times, I have often found it sold out after arriving on-site. This year, I took advantage of the option to make a reservation in advance. The sea changed to a deep blue, and I enjoyed views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach from the water. With cheerful music playing and unlimited drinks like my favorite Mai Tai, the weather was great, and I was able to see the sunset perfectly. It was absolutely wonderful! I arrived just in time for the 5 PM meeting, but the local staff greeted us with smiles. The waves were calm, and it felt great when the boat caught the wind and picked up a bit of speed. The scenery while sipping a Mai Tai on the boat, with the blue sky, the setting sun, and Diamond Head illuminated by the sunset, was truly wonderful.

There were two couples and a family of four, in addition to my own family of three, and everyone else was from various countries. Since we could speak English, we were able to chat with other passengers, which made for a very enjoyable time. There was no sign of poor service just because we were Japanese or because we couldn't speak English.

The staff on the boat were very friendly and helped create a lively atmosphere, making it a lot of fun. While there were no explanations in Japanese, I think even those who don't understand English at all could follow along through the staff's gestures.

I was a bit anxious about how to get to the meeting point, but if you go through the Sheraton's pool and bar, it's right in front of you. If you're unsure, you can show your voucher at the Sheraton front desk and say "Mai Tai Sunset," and they should be able to help you.

船上のスタッフもとても気さくで、その場を盛り上げてくれて楽しかったです。日本語での説明などはありませんが、全く英語が分からなくてもスタッフのジェスチャーなどで説明は理解できると思います。

集合場所への行き方が不安でしたが、シェラトンのプールとバーを抜けていくとすぐ目の前にあります。分からなかったら、シェラトンのフロントとかでバウチャー見せて「マイタイ・サンセット」と言えば教えてくれるかと思います。

I made a reservation for 13 people for a company trip. Most of us were foreigners, but there were no issues at all. We boarded the boat before 6 PM, and watching the sunset over the sea was amazing and moving. Although it was March, the sea at sunset can be a bit chilly, so I think it's better to have something to wear. If you drink too much, you'll need to go to the restroom, but it's very cramped... I took motion sickness medication, but it didn't help at all. The ride was quite bumpy. I didn't vomit, but I felt unwell, and even though there was an all-you-can-drink option, I couldn't finish my first drink. The high-energy voices of the other passengers and crew only made my nausea and headache worse. It's my own fault, but I will never participate again. I absolutely cannot recommend this for those who are prone to motion sickness or have concerns!

I wanted to see the fireworks from the sea, but the night view of Waikiki and the starry sky away from the city lights were truly beautiful, and I was moved even without the fireworks. And of course, the fireworks were beautiful too.

Going barefoot and boarding during high tide can get you quite wet if the waves are not timed well. It's best to wear beach sandals and clothes that can get wet, like swimwear. My husband thought he was approaching the stairs when the waves receded, but he ended up soaked because of the incoming waves, and the material he was wearing was hard to dry, so he said he felt cold.

After disembarking, there is a shower in front where you can wash your legs.

そしてもちろん花火もきれいでした。
裸足になるのと、満潮時の乗船で波のタイミングが悪いとかなり濡れます。ビーチサンダルと、下は水着等ぬれても良い格好で。夫は波が引いたタイミングで階段に近づいたつもりが寄せる波で下がずぶ濡れになり乾きにくい素材だったため寒いと言ってました。
下船後正面にシャワーがあるので脚は洗えます。

Watching the fireworks and enjoying the night view of Honolulu was amazing. However, it was cold. In March, I waded into the sea up to my shins at night to board the boat, and inside the boat, I was barefoot. The night sea breeze hit me directly, and by the time I disembarked, I was freezing. I think bringing a thicker jacket, using the restroom before boarding, and limiting fluid intake would make the experience even more enjoyable.

Perfect way to get on the water!

We had so much fun and saw some whales!! Be prepared to get wet. It didnt last the full 2 hours (brought us back at 6:45) and never stopped for us to jump in as advertised but I'd highly recommend! Being able to BYOB made it so much better than the other boat cruises.

I participated in this during my last trip to Hawaii and it was so great that I decided to join again without hesitation! Since it was March, which is winter in Hawaii, we couldn't see a beautiful sunset because it was cloudy, but it still became a fun memory. There were only Japanese participants like us, but we had plenty of fun.
