Unfortunately, we couldn't see any whales, but since it's nature, that's understandable. I think it would be amazing if we could see them. Even without seeing whales, you can still enjoy the cruising experience. I definitely recommend bringing binoculars!

We had a great time on the sunset cruise, we got some awesome photos, met really cool people and did something we wouldn't normally do!
Only tips I would give is to go to the toilet first (the one on board is cramped and it can get bumpy, so more room for unlimited drinks) and make sure you check the meeting location carefully first because there's 2 Outrigger hotels and that confused us alot.

I was struggling to find a birthday gift for my husband which coincidentally falls on Valentine’s Day. As we were traveling to Oahu the next week form Australia I purchased 2 tickets for the Sunset Cocktail Cruise online, printed them and put them in his birthday card. WOW! What a great success that was, we had a wonderful time.
Weather was perfect, service and cocktail supply was 4 star and I would recommend this Cruise to all. The captain and his mate were attentive and entertaining, we were lucky enough to see whales in their natural habitat along with the magical sunset we were promised.
This was my 8th trip to Waikiki but I had never been on this Catamaran Cruise previously. We would definitely go again.
It was so easy to purchase online, prepay and print the receipt it made the perfect gift from the other side of the Pacific. Mahalo.

We had a wonderful time on this whale watching cruise!

We were very fortunate, we had a lovely sunny day and we saw 3 or 4 whales. The crew were very helpful.The buffet meal was of good variety, tasty food and people were able to return as many times as they wanted. With regard to the whales, as stated in the tour blurbs there are rules about how close the boat can get to the whales because of this and how fast they breach and disappear I would suggest putting the camera aside and fully enjoying the experience with your own eyes, which is quite a thrill.

However, when getting on and off, your clothes get wet! You have to be prepared to get into the water up to your knees, or it can be quite a hassle... My 5-year-old son fell into the sea when getting off and got completely soaked! He was rescued by a staff member! There are no restrooms, so be careful not to drink too much! They make sure to leave only after sunset, so you can definitely enjoy the sunset.

Unfortunately, we encountered a day of heavy rain. Many people got off the shuttle bus from the hotel without umbrellas and boarded the boat. There were about 40 people on the tour, including two groups of us (four people). The yacht hardly swayed, so I don't think there's any worry about seasickness. Cocktails were poured from a large bottle, and with the excitement, I ended up having three refills. We even spotted whales offshore, and the sunset was amazing. I also made friends with a family of four from Australia. The two hours flew by. I definitely want to participate again next time.

All the explanations were in English, but I had no trouble at all. The captain and staff were very friendly, making jokes to entertain the guests and engaging in conversation, creating a very welcoming atmosphere!

On the day of the tour, it was unusually rainy in Hawaii, and with strong winds, we could hardly see the sunset, which is the highlight of the tour. The waves were a bit high, so some guests who were not good on boats felt unwell. (The staff's response at that time was quick and left a good impression.) I took the city bus to Aloha Tower Marketplace (the meeting place). Right next to Aloha Tower Marketplace, there is a boat docked, and the reception is right in front of it. The office opens at 8 AM, but since we arrived early, the reception wasn't open yet, which caused a bit of confusion. For those making their way to the meeting place on their own, I think using the boat next to Aloha Tower Marketplace as a landmark is a good idea.

As soon as we boarded the boat at 8 AM, there was a bit of time (about 45 minutes) before departure. We didn't eat, but you can have breakfast on board.

As for the whales, we were able to see them. When a whale is spotted, the staff will indicate the direction based on the time on the clock. You can see the direction they point to, or others will point as well, so we were able to see the whales multiple times.

However, whales dive quickly, and depending on the location, they can only be seen from a distance, so I recommend bringing a DSLR camera if you have one.

I was looking forward to seeing whales, but in the end, I only saw a little bit of a tail far away towards the end of the cruise. The tour company might consider that a success, but I wonder if that's really enough to say we saw whales... Honestly, I was disappointed.
