Even when we got close to Diamond Head, we couldn't see any whales, and I started to give up a little, but then I spotted a spout in the distance. At that moment, the boat sped towards the whale, and we got close enough to see it!

After that, the boat kept pace without disturbing the whale, allowing us to see it with Diamond Head in the background. It was such an emotional moment!

As the boat started heading back to the harbor, the other passengers returned inside, but while watching the whale, I was able to see a huge leap from quite a distance!

On the way back, we also spotted two groups of whales, so I think it's a good idea to look out for spouts. The pineapple banana bread provided after boarding was also very delicious, and we could enjoy it with tea or coffee inside the boat!

There were also announcements in Japanese explaining about the whales, so it's fine even if you don't understand English. Since they are living creatures, you can't always see them, but even if they are a bit far away, the boat gets close, so I’m glad I participated!

その後も、クジラの泳ぎを遮らないように、並走してくれて、ダイヤモンドヘッドをバックにクジラを見る方ができました。とても感動した瞬間でした！
船が港へ戻り出した為、他の乗客は船内に戻って行きましたが、ずっとクジラを見ていると、かなり離れていましたが、クジラの大ジャンプを見ることができました！！
帰り途中にも2グループのクジラを見る方ができたので、潮吹きを探してみると良いと思います。
乗船後に提供された軽食のパイナップルバナナブレッドもとても美味しく、紅茶やコーヒーと一緒に船内で食べることができました！
クジラの説明など日本語でのアナウンスもきちんとありますので、英語がわからなくても大丈夫です。生き物ですので毎回見られるとは限りませんが、多少遠くても船が近づいていってくれるので、参加して良かったと思います！

I was worried that my daughter, who easily gets seasick because it's a large ship, might have a hard time, but despite taking motion sickness medication, she ended up feeling sick. 😭 She couldn't even go out on deck and just sat in a chair, waiting for the return to port. I don't know why the medication didn't work, but it was unfortunate, especially since she was looking forward to it more than anyone. 😒

We were able to see whales a few times, although from a distance. 😊👌

I participated in February. At first, I was really wondering if I would be able to see them, but I was able to see four of them! When we went out to sea, they stopped the boat's engine and drove slowly and quietly, which allowed us to see two of them up close. I was moved by their size. They seemed to be playing together, possibly a mother and her child or siblings.

Before heading out to sea, we listened to explanations about safety and the characteristics and ecology of humpback whales inside the boat. I read in reviews that there would be staff who spoke Japanese, but it seemed there weren't any when we participated. I was with a friend who spoke English, so she briefly explained the content to me, but I thought it would be nicer if there were written explanations in various languages available (though I could generally understand without them).

The pineapple cake served as a snack was delicious, and I ended up asking for a second helping!

　出航後沖に出るまでは、船内で、安全についての説明やザトウクジラの特徴や生態についての説明を聞きます。日本語が話せるスタッフがいると口コミに書かれていましたが、私たちが参加した際はいないようでした。英語が話せる友人と一緒だったので、彼女に内容を簡単に教えてもらいましたが、各言語の説明書きなどが置いてあるとより親切かなと思いました。（なくても大体分かりますが）

We went all the way to Diamond Head and anchored for a long time near Waikiki Beach. They said there were whales, but even after anchoring for almost an hour, we couldn't see any. It included transportation, but since it didn't stop at our hotel, we walked to the hotel across the street. The large bus arrived on time and took us to the boarding area!

As soon as we got off the bus, we boarded the boat and took some commemorative photos! Later, a staff member came around to show us the pictures they took! We decided to purchase one as a keepsake (laughs). Then, we enjoyed the breakfast we had been looking forward to. The morning coffee was really great!

Inside the boat, the air conditioning was on, so I think short sleeves might feel a bit cold.

We received an explanation about the whales from the captain and headed to the deck! The blue of the ocean was something you can't feel in Japan, and the view of Waikiki getting farther away! Plus, Diamond Head was clearly visible! I was already satisfied with just that.

And on that day, we were able to see whales! In fact, multiple times!!! We even encountered a mother and baby whale! There is a limit to how close you can get, so they were a bit far, but we could still see them!

The captain announced the direction of the whales, so everyone moved in unison to follow the report. Even if you don't understand English, you'll be fine just following everyone!

Before we knew it, it was time to disembark, and we took the bus back to the hotel.

Personally, I thought it was really great! It was nice to relax on the boat in the Hawaiian sea, and seeing the whales was truly moving! Since it was a large boat, I don't think you would get seasick (but it's better to take motion sickness medication just in case).

There were plenty of restrooms! They weren't super clean, but it was totally fine! I want to go again!

日本では感じられない海の青さ、遠くなっていくワイキキの街並み！そしてダイヤモンドヘッドがよく見える！これだけで満足でした😆

そしてこの日はクジラを見ることができました！しかも何回も！！！🐳親子のクジラにも遭遇しました！近づける範囲が決まってるので若干遠くはありますが見える！！！

船長が◯時の方向だよとアナウンスしてくれるので、みんなその報告を受けて一斉に移動📢英語がわからなくてもみんなについていけば大丈夫です！！！

あっという間に下船になり、バスに乗ってホテルへ戻りました。

個人的にはめちゃくちゃよかったです！とにかくハワイの海で船に乗りながらのんびりできたのもよかったし、クジラも見れて感動しました！大きな船なので船酔いもしないかなと思います！（一応酔い止めは飲んでおいた方が🙆‍♀️）

This was my third trip to Hawaii, and for the first time, I participated in a solo trip. The large bus arrived right on time at the Sheraton hotel 🚌. This time, the tour was made up entirely of international guests.

When we boarded the Star of Honolulu, the captain welcomed us. There was a photo opportunity with the crew as we entered the ship. Later, the crew developed the photos and offered them for sale. I think it was around $26. Many people chose not to buy them, but I purchased one as a keepsake. By the way, they only accept credit cards.

Once on board, I quickly enjoyed some drinks and light snacks. There was a booklet with explanations about whales in Japanese, which I skimmed through, followed by an explanation from the captain about the whales. As the ship set sail, the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea was absolutely wonderful.

After a while, the captain announced over the intercom, "There are whales at the direction of ◯ o'clock (in English)," and everyone hurriedly pointed their cameras to look. Fortunately, we encountered a mother and calf whale. It was a bit disappointing that we only saw them spouting water and didn’t get to see any larger movements, but just being able to encounter them was great. I made sure to capture it on video.

We were blessed with beautiful weather, making it the best cruising experience!

しばらくすると、船長が船内放送で「◯時の方向にクジラがいます(英語)」と放送されるとみんな慌ててカメラを向けて探します。
運良く親子のクジラに遭遇できました。
今回は潮吹きだけで、大きい仕草を見れなかったのは残念でしたが、遭遇できただけでもよかったです。
しっかり動画に収めました。

お天気にも恵まれ最高のクルージングになりました。

On the day of the reservation, there were quite a few passengers, even standing room only. As we set sail, the waves grew higher, which was exciting! I had a great time laughing with other customers. We were supposed to see Diamond Head, but before we knew it, we made a U-turn?? I thought the swaying of the boat was part of the captain's technique to entertain us, but... due to bad weather, it ended abruptly after about an hour. All the announcements were in English, so it would be nice if announcements in other languages could be provided as well. I think it's great that if you miss out, you can either reboard or get a refund.

予約当日は立ち見する方もいる位の乗船者がいらっしゃいました。
出航するにつれて波が高く期待大！他のお客様と大笑いしながら楽しかったです。
ダイヤモンドヘッド方面で見る予定になっていましたが気が付けばUターン？？

悪天候の為約１時間程度であっという間に終了しました。
アナウンスは全て英語なので、他言語用のアナウンスも用意して頂けると嬉しいかもです。
見れなかった場合は再乗船もしくは返金対応して頂けるのは良いと思います。

ウミガメも泳いでいると度々キャプテンがアナウンスしていましたが、私はどこにいるか確認できず見れませんでした。

海がとにかく綺麗でした。朝の時間が有効活用できたのでとてもよかったです。

On the day of the trip, the weather was great, and we were able to see a lot of whales, a large pod of dolphins, sea turtles, and fish, which made us very satisfied. The sight of the large pod of dolphins was particularly incredible and moving. The guide and driver, as well as the boat captain, were kind and made every effort to find dolphins for us. Although the kids couldn't snorkel, it seems the captain entertained them well. First, before departure, we enjoyed drinks and delicious cake, followed by an explanation from the captain, and soon after, we set sail. As soon as we departed, I went up to the deck and was greeted by the stunning views of Waikiki that are usually not visible. With explanations from the captain in Japanese, we were able to see whales about five times from various angles: the front of the boat, the port side, and the starboard side. The scenery is very beautiful, and you can experience a sensation that can only be enjoyed from a boat. The fireworks last about five minutes, but they were still quite moving.

You can choose between fish or meat dishes for your meal, but both were a bit dry and the taste was average. If you ask the staff, you can also take food home. Additionally, there are salads, drinks (no beer), and desserts included.

If you're someone who doesn't easily get seasick, you'll likely enjoy it. I tend to get motion sickness, so I took some medication, but I still felt a bit nauseous. There are two levels on the boat, and since I was on the second level, I think the breeze helped reduce my nausea a bit.

Before boarding, they take a photo of you in front of the boat. When you disembark, they print the photo for you, and you can buy it for $20.

There were no Asian people around, but the staff was kind, so I was able to enjoy myself without any particular discomfort.

船酔いに強い人であれば楽しめます。私は元々乗り物酔いがしやすい方で、酔い止めを飲みましたがそれでも少し酔いました。1階と2階があり、私は2階であったため風に当たって少し酔いはマシだった気がします。

乗船前に船の前で写真を撮ってくれます。降りると写真を印刷してくれており、20＄払えば買うことが出来ます。

周りにアジア系の人はいませんでしたが、スタッフが優しいため特に抵抗感なく楽しむことが出来ました。
