We had a great time on the Navatek. Met some really nice people. The problem was we were right in front of the entertainer's and some in the group complained the volume of the entertainment was too loud. Of course you really couldn't carry on a conversation during dinner because the entertainment was a bit loud! The service was great, the food fantasic, just the entertainment a bit too loud.

We have been to 3 other Luau's the food was the best here. We had 11 in our party Parents, Grandparents, and Children. We had all booked seperatly but the staff did place us together and were extremely helpfull and attentive. Last year we went to Paradise cove and for the kids it has a lot more to do. But this was close to our hotel and we all had a good time. It was money and time well spent.

We went on the sunset dinner cruise in June 2007 and had a great time! All of the staff was wonderful and very friendly. The dinner was good- nice portions ( we did NOT go home hungry), and the music and show was a blast! The top deck was perfect for taking sunset pictures of Diamond Head. We did the couple's plan and recommend it to any couple deciding on this package. This ended up being a really fun night for the both of us and would highly recommend it to anyone going to Oahu!

We had a great time! We opted for the sit down dinner to get window seats for 4. The dinner was more food than we could eat which was served course by course beginning with cocktails and skewered shrimp, followed by a salad, lobster, and lastly steak and vegetables. They time the meal so that you are finished in time to watch the sunset. There is a small deck outside that only holds about 20; so keep an eye on the time and leave your table early to secure a spot on the deck to watch the sunset. After the sunset return to your table to enjoy the entertainment and dessert. Overall this was a great experience.

It was my mom's birthday and we went with the family ! What a great time we had and the food was just fantastic. A lot of the dinner cruises don't seem to put to much thought and effort in the cuisine, but whoever came up with the menu for the Pacific Star obviously knew what they were doing. The nice thing was how relaxing and quiet it was. My sister walked around the boat and noticed how loud the hula show was, and I am glad that we chose the Pacific Star. The guitar player was top-notch and it was a nice not having to yell at each other to hear everyone over the music.

Two days later, having taken advantage of the free raincheck ticket, we saw four adult Humpback Whales and a calf. There are no words to adequately describe the experience - just go and do it. The Star of Honolulu is a vessel that I often frequent when I am here in the islands since it has always provided my husband and I with a wonderful evening. The Pacific Star has become our new favorite with its initimate lounge setting, quiet atmosphere, delicious Pacific Rim cuisine and a chocolate fondue-like dessert that is to tasty for words. I personally do not like the loud and rowdy hula shows, so the Pacific Star is definitely my cruise of choice!

I took my kids on the Star of Honolulu Hawaiian Cultural Cruise and we had a great time together and we were greeted with the warmest of Aloha. We were served our drinks as the boat departed and then the different activities began. My kids and I enjoyed making flower leis as we watched the other visitors learn how to dance the Hula. On the other end, there were ukulele lessons going on and behind us was a session of coconut leaf weaving. The crew members gathered us all together and we all went out on the deck to feed all these fishes that were swimming in large clumps near the boat.
Later, my kids and I were assisted by a very helpful server with our food at the buffet line. After we ate lunch, we enjoyed the beautiful panoramic scenery from the top deck of the Star and laid back on the lounge chairs enjoying the warmth of the sun. It was a great day and my kids loved it.

The whole setting of the feast was decorated with class and Oh-My-Goodness, the beach and the sunset was perfect to capture a photographic memory.
The host of the show did not waste anytime in welcoming all the guests preparing us for a wonderful feast and show. The food was delicious. There were several isles of Honolulu's most popular food and desert and lets not forget the huge roasted pig that everyone looked eager to taste. The Polynesian performers were brilliant. This past weekend my kids and I went on the Makani Catamaran Sailing Adventure and we had a great time. As soon as we got on board my kids were so excited. The crew of the boat gave a brief safety tutorial and as soon as they were done we were headed for sea. There was food for everyone and a bar to purchase drinks. It was such an adventure especially if you like the sun, the wind, and the waves. My kids joined some of the other guests on the net that was located at the front of the Makani, loving the cool splashes of the water as we picked up speed, while being able to see right under where they sat. The crew was so polite and friendly always checking to make sure that everyone is alright. The buffet lines were groaning under the weight of all of the delicacies and the tables were laden with a bounty of food. There were tossed, macaroni and shrimp salads, an incredibly yummy fruit salad mixed with haupia, a perfect lomi-lomi salmon (not too salty like how a lot of places make it), some kalua pork which was insanely juicy, of course there was some of the ever-popular mahi-mahi, and my favorite, teriyaki beef that just melted in my mouth! I kept going back for more and even though I was stuffed, I still had enough room for dessert, and thank goodness for that. The food was delicious, but eating while swaying was a bit challenging... We took motion sickness medication, so we were fine, but quite a few people looked like they were feeling unwell...

The event I was most looking forward to this time was wonderful. The weather was great, and within 20-30 minutes of boarding, we encountered a mother and baby whale. I thought we might not be able to see them clearly due to regulations that prevent us from staying in one spot for more than 30 minutes and from getting within 100 meters of the whales. However, we were fortunate enough to witness the baby whale unexpectedly approaching the boat, allowing us to see them up close. After parting from this mother and baby, we encountered whales a few more times, but we quickly lost sight of them and couldn't observe them for as long as we did at first. I now think that meeting this mother and baby was a very lucky experience. I was worried about seasickness, but I was able to enjoy the cruise without any major turbulence. Additionally, they provide medication for those who are concerned. It became a very nice memory.
