A morning on the *Swim with Dolphins Ocean Fun Cruise.*

We’ve been on snorkeling cruises in the past (some out of Waianae Boat Harbor) but never with this company. We visit Hawaii often (my wife was born and raised in the islands) we view island activities with a critical eye. This was a super dolphin/snorkel trip. The cruise is on a smaller boat, which has the advantage of offering a smaller group of people, a more intimate experience, and a little more adventurous ride - I like all three. Staff on these boats are there to 1. Offer safety 2. Offer service and 3. Offer fun and adventure. The Dolphin’s and You staff were excellent on all counts. I’ve seen the “fun” part on other boats get a little smarmy, but the staff on this boat really did a great job of encouraging people to participate and enjoy themselves without being overly “slick” or pushy. They also had some talented people who shared music I found enjoyable.
I take my own pictures with underwater stills and video. The videographer/photographer on the trip did a super job and was kind enough to show me some great shots while still attending to everyone on board. I wish I could say that about all the snorkeling/watching tours we’ve been on.
Overall I’d say this was a really good trip - for anyone - experienced or novice. Tips: If you have motion sickness, or aren’t sure if you have motion sickness, take dramamine. Do it. Take sunscreen - Use it. If you’re not familiar with photography (above and below water) leave your gear at home. Experience the trip and allow the professional the ship provides offer you some of the best shots you’ll ever see - most likely better images than you can take yourself. Fooling with gear and worrying about taking pictures, will detract from the memories you can make just being in the water and seeing the amazing things the crew will show you.
There are lifetime memories you can take away from a half-day trip like this. It might *seem* pricey to some, but I assure you that it is worth every cent and you’ll be ready for more.

We gathered at the hotel entrance at 5:55 AM. Since it was June, which is typically a low season, there were about 20 participants, which the guide mentioned was about half the usual number. I felt that having a smaller group made the day more enjoyable.

We traveled by bus to the port (about an hour), and during that time, the guide's stories and videos were so interesting that there was no time to sleep. After waiting for about 15 minutes upon arrival at the port, we boarded the boat. The crew members were introduced, and we set off.

On this day, perhaps due to the strong winds, the waves were high, and the boat rocked quite a bit, causing a few people to feel unwell. About 20 minutes after departing, we had our first encounter with dolphins. We spotted a pod about 10 meters ahead, so we put on our goggles and fins and jumped in together. Unfortunately, during the first jump, the dolphins swam away, so we couldn't swim with them.

We returned to the boat and searched for another pod. About 15 minutes later, we found another group and jumped in again. This time, we successfully located the pod, and around 10 dolphins swam right beneath me. It was an unprecedented experience, and it felt truly moving to be swimming alongside them. We all shared our joy as we returned to the boat.

Next was snorkeling in search of sea turtles. After about a 20-minute boat ride, we jumped in at a spot where sea turtles are easy to find. Within just a few minutes, we spotted a turtle and observed it from a distance. After that, a professional photographer took various poses of us. We could purchase all the photos from the professional photographer on the way back (data for $60, USB for $65).

After returning to the boat, we had almost free time. We could eat the cheeseburgers made by the captain, snack on chips, do stand-up paddleboarding, or kayak. Most people chose to relax and eat on the boat.

Once everything was finished, we danced hula on the boat while heading back to the port. After arriving at the port, we took a short break before boarding the bus back to Waikiki. Most people were asleep on the bus.

The encounter rate with dolphins is said to be 90%, but we were fortunate to encounter them quickly, so I didn't feel the discomfort of the boat ride too much and was able to have a valuable experience.

港に着いてから15分くらい待機して、船に乗り込みます。クルーメンバーが紹介されて出発です。
この日は風が強いせいか波が高く、船はかなり揺れたので、体調が悪くなってしまうひとも2.3人いました。
船を出して20分くらいで1回目のイルカとの遭遇でした。10メートルくらい先にイルカの群れが見えたので、ゴーグルやフィンを付けてみんなで飛び込んで群れの方に向かいます。1回目の飛び込みではイルカの群れが逃げてしまったので、実際に一緒に泳ぐことはできませんでした。
船に戻って、また群れを探し、15分後くらいにまた群れを発見し飛び込みました。今度はうまく群れを見つけ、自分の泳ぐ真下を10頭くらいのイルカが泳いで通りました。今までにない体験で、ほんとに一緒に泳いでいるようで感動的な瞬間でした。みんなで喜びを分かち合いながら船に戻ります。
次はウミガメ探しのシュノーケリングです。20分くらい船で移動して、ウミガメの見つけやすいポイントでみんなで飛び込みます。飛び込んで、3分もしないうちにウミガメを見つけ、少し遠くから眺めます。その後、プロのカメラマンの方がいろいろなポーズで写真を撮ってくれます。プロのカメラマンの写真はは帰りに全て購入することができます。（データは60ドル、USBは65ドル）
みんなで船に戻った後はほぼ自由時間でした。船長が作るチーズバーガーを食べるもよし、チップスを食べるもよし、スタンディングパドルをするもよし、カヌーを漕ぐもよし、基本的には船上で食事をして休む人が多かったです。
すべてが終わって船でフラダンスを踊りながら港へ帰ります。
港へ着いてからは少し休憩してバスに乗り込み、ワイキキへ戻ります。バスの中では、ほとんどの方が眠っていました。
イルカとの遭遇率は90パーセントらしいですが、本当にすぐイルカとの遭遇できたので、船のつらさもそこまで感じずに、貴重な体験をすることができました。

This time, we were picked up from Ko Olina, so we arrived at the departure port early. (Last time, we were picked up from Waikiki, so we ended up spending quite a long time in the car.) On the day of the trip, there was a slight delay in departure due to engine trouble, but perhaps that was fortunate? Right after we set off, another tour found dolphins, so we were able to get into the water right away. During my previous participation, the waves were rough, and I could only see the dolphins swimming along the seabed, but this time they were swimming close to the surface, so we could see them within reach. Later, at another spot, we were able to see four sea turtles up close, and one came up to the surface to breathe right in front of my wife, which was very moving. I'm really glad I participated again this time. I would definitely like to join for a third time if the opportunity arises. I am very grateful for the guide's hospitality. (By the way, the malasada service that was available last time was no longer offered.)

This was my second time participating, and I was once again very satisfied! I was able to swim with many dolphins. I'm usually scared to swim in the ocean where I can't touch the bottom, but in this activity, I had zero fear. For those who are anxious about swimming, they provide not only life jackets but also floatation devices, which is reassuring. It seems that swimming with spinner dolphins is something you can only do in Hawaii, so I highly recommend it. Our guide, Juli, was also fun and lively! I definitely want to participate again when I go to Hawaii!

We participated in the tour on June 24 with five people. Although the pickup was early in the morning, the staff's fun talks and the detailed explanations of the tour were appreciated. Once on the boat, the captain and the friendly crew naturally brought smiles to our faces. We swam with dolphins at the two locations they guided us to, and both times we encountered dolphins, which was an emotional and thrilling moment. We also saw sea turtles several times at the surface. This was my first dolphin tour, but thanks to the enjoyable guidance from the staff, as well as the boat burgers and hula dancing, we had a wonderful time. If I come to Hawaii again, I will definitely join this tour without hesitation. Thank you to everyone at Dolphin & You.

A trip to Hawaii with my friend's family. I was the only one who wanted to swim with dolphins, so I felt anxious but decided to sign up anyway. My worries while waiting for the pickup bus were blown away by the guide's Japanese. All the participants were Japanese as well, and they were all cheerful and friendly, which made me feel even more at ease!

The one-hour ride was never boring thanks to the lively talk from our guide, Julie (a cheerful Japanese woman). The weather was great, the boat was stable, and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the west coast of Hawaii. I got to see plenty of dolphins, turtles, and tropical fish, which was thrilling and moving!

The staff were not only cheerful but also maintained safety properly, which made me feel secure. Typically, I am satisfied after one experience, but this time I found myself wanting to participate again.

I participated with my 5-year-old daughter and dad!

We were picked up early in the morning from a nearby hotel, and our guide, Julie, was so energetic and fun. I learned a lot of interesting facts about dolphins.

I thought I could swim, but then I realized I had never swum in the ocean with a current before. At first, I couldn't really take care of my daughter, but Julie helped watch her, and gradually I was able to use the fins and keep up (sweating a bit).

We encountered dolphins three times, with as many as ten at one point. I brought an underwater camera, but the professional photographer dove down for us and was great at getting close to the dolphins and sea turtles. So, instead of floundering around, it might be wiser to pay about $50 and enjoy being photographed, then buy the professional pictures (since you'll want them anyway).

Anyway, Julie was great at keeping us entertained, and my daughter was totally into it, even participating in the final diving competition. It became a wonderful memory!

早朝に近くのホテルから拾ってもらい、テンション高いジュリさんのガイドっぷりも楽しく、イルカの豆知識も勉強になりました。

泳げるつもりでしたが、考えたら潮の流れのある沖で泳いだことはなく、娘の面倒を最初はほとんど見る事が出来なかったけど、ジュリさんが娘を見てくれ、徐々にフィンを使って進めるようになり何とかついて行けました（汗）

イルカには3回遭遇出来、多い時で10頭でした。水中でも撮れるカメラ持参でしたけど、プロのカメラマンさんは潜ってくれますし、イルカやウミガメのそばに行くのも上手なので、バタバタする位なら、50ドルほど払いますが、写される事を楽しんで、プロの写真を買った方が賢明かもしれません。（どうせ、欲しくなりますから）

とにかく、楽しませるのが上手で、娘はすっかりノリノリで、最後のダイビング大会も参加する始末。
良い思い出になりました！

It was an early departure, and I was sleepy at the start of the tour, but the bright and detailed explanations on the bus gradually made me feel more awake. By the time we arrived at the port, I was filled with excitement to meet the dolphins.

At first, the ceremony right after departure made us, as a shy couple, a bit anxious, but the cheerful communication at just the right distance quickly warmed our hearts. By the time we started singing, there was a sense of unity within the team!

When it came time to meet the dolphins, we were lucky to encounter them right away! Within about five minutes of departure, we jumped into the sea and met the dolphins immediately!

After that, we followed the instructor's directions and swam playfully like children, chasing the dolphins. I was so excited to see those adorable dolphins!

Afterward, we returned to the boat for a commemorative photo! The team was united, and there were many honeymooners among us, making the group photo while saying "Welcome, newlyweds!" a lot of fun!

Next, we changed snorkeling spots! This time, we encountered sea turtles, which was truly moving! Personally, I found the turtles even more touching! Their cuteness was number one!

As we were heading back to the port, a pod of dolphins appeared as if to say goodbye, which was heartwarming.

After that, I fell into a deep sleep on the return bus (laughs). It was an incredibly emotional experience for just half a day! It was the best experience where I could have fun like a child with my wife!

今度はウミガメに出会い、感動！！
私的にはカメの方が感動！
愛らしさはNO１でした！

その後、港に戻ろうとすると、まるでお別れを伝えに来たかのように
イルカの群れが現れ、胸がジーンとしました。

その後は帰りのバスで爆睡（笑）
半日とは考えられなくらいの感動体験！
子どものように妻とはしゃぐこともできた最高体験でした！

I participated in the Dolphin University tour. We quickly spotted dolphins from the boat and everyone dove in!

Since there was a sequence for diving, some people at the end couldn't see them at that time. However, during the next dive, those who hadn't seen the dolphins were prioritized and guided to where the dolphins were, so all participants were able to see them!

The crew was lively, and everyone was in high spirits!

There were Japanese-speaking crew members, which made it easy to enjoy the tour without any worries.

After swimming with the dolphins, we moved to a different location for snorkeling near the coral reefs, where we could also swim with sea turtles.

Those who weren't physically strong rested on the boat, while those with more energy played in the water.

By that night, I was so satisfied with the tour that I wanted to join the Dolphin University tour again the next day.

I recommend renting a wetsuit as it helps prevent fatigue.

と思うほど私は大満足なツアーでした

ウエットスーツはレンタルすることをお勧めします
体力低下防止にもなるので

I was moved to see wild dolphins and sea turtles. The tour guide is energetic, which I think can be polarizing. After getting on the boat, there was a feeling of forced excitement, and those who want to genuinely enjoy the activity might feel put off. However, the staff were generally nice, but I had some doubts about the Japanese cameraman's attitude. I admit I struggled to understand the intent behind his questions and had to ask him to repeat himself several times, but saying "That's enough" in Kansai dialect was inappropriate. I was left feeling uncomfortable as I didn't know him well. I've participated in snorkeling tours many times in the past, and I felt a lack of professionalism this time. By the way, if you don't take measures against seasickness and cold, the return trip can be tough, so it's important to prepare properly.

野生のイルカとウミガメ見れて感動しました。ツアーガイドはエネルギッシュなので好き嫌い分れると思います。船に乗った後は無理やり盛り上げてる感があって純粋にアクティビティを楽しみたいと思って参加する人はしらける方もいるかもしれないですが、スタッフの皆さんはいい感じでいいか…と思いきや担当した日本人のカメラマンの対応に疑問を感じました。話しかけられて質問の意図が分からなくて何回か聞き直してしまった自分にも非がありますが関西弁で『もうええわ』はないです。知り合いや仲良くもないのになぜこんな態度を取られるのか不快な思いしか残りませんでした。過去に何度もシュノーケリングツアーに参加してきましたがプロ精神に欠けていると感じました。ちなみに船酔い対策と寒さ対策はしないと帰りがキツいのでしっかりとしなきゃ厳しいです。

Amazing experience!

This was such an incredible experience. Within minutes of leaving the harbour, there were dolphins next to our boat. We got in the water, and the pods of dolphins were swimming around us the whole time we were in there. When we moved to the snorkeling spot, again there were dolphins swimming straight under us and turtles swimming along the surface. They had great water activities at the snorkel spot, such is the SUP and trampoline. The staff were having so much fun, which made all the guests have heaps of fun. If you needed anything, they were happy to help. This was a highlight of our whole trip. Would highly recommend.

It was an early morning tour, but since I had plans to go to Ala Moana in the afternoon, I opted for the morning tour. I was really sleepy, but our guide, Julie, was super energetic despite the early hour! She talked non-stop, and before I knew it, we had arrived at the marina.

She mentioned on the bus that seeing dolphins in the wild can vary; sometimes you see them right away, and other times you might search for over three hours without spotting any. I was a bit anxious as we left the marina, and although the waves were quite high and the boat was rocking, we started with a ceremonial Hawaiian song to meet the dolphins and tossed plumeria flowers into the sea. Thanks to that, we quickly encountered dolphins! We saw several dorsal fins breaking the surface! We hurriedly prepared our snorkeling gear and dove into the water! The visibility wasn't great, probably due to the high waves, but we managed to encounter some dolphins!

Swimming was quite tiring, but I thought of it as good exercise, and it was worth the effort. After that, we changed locations for snorkeling. Again, the visibility wasn't very good, but we encountered many sea turtles! A photographer who was underwater took my camera and captured close-up shots of the turtles.

Captain Gian (a famous former lifeguard) and his daughter, who claims to be part of the EXILE crew, along with our guide Julie, who was at her maximum energy level, made for an entertaining and enjoyable time! Thank you!

自然のイルカなのですぐ見れる時と3時間以上探しても見れない時もあるとバスの中で言っていたのでどーかなぁ〜？と思いながらマリーナを出て、波は中々高く船は揺れいましたが、まず出航してからイルカに会う為の儀式的なハワイ語の歌、プルメリアの花を海に投げ入れお願いしたおかげか、すぐにイルカに会えました！水面にイルカの背鰭が何個も！早々にシュノーケルの準備をして海へダイブ！波が高かったせいかあまり透明度はありませんでしたが、何とかイルカに遭遇！
泳ぐのは結構疲れますがいいエクササイズと思いながら頑張ったかいが有りました。
その後ポイントを変えてのシュノーケルやはり透明度は余り無かったですが沢山の海亀に遭遇！水中カメラマンの方が、私の水中カメラを持って潜ってくれて、至近距離のカメを撮ってきてくれました。

We participated as a family! We were anxious because we hardly speak English and my mother is not a good swimmer, but the Japanese instructor Musashi was cheerful and provided excellent support, even swimming with those who couldn't swim. We could borrow float boards for free, so there were no issues.

Of course, since we needed to swim towards the dolphins, it was better to be able to swim to see many dolphins, but even without swimming skills, we were able to see them properly this time. The dolphins were wild and not accustomed to humans, so they didn't come close. I was worried about whether we could swim together with them.

They guided us to a total of three spots, and at the last spot, we were able to see many dolphins up close, and they swam alongside us, which was truly moving. I think they were about one meter away. We were able to take videos with an underwater camera and took lots of photos!

最後にみんなでフラダンスを踊り、海の環境問題を考えさせられる説明もあって、ツアーに参加してよかったと思いました。

This was my first trip to Hawaii for my honeymoon. I was determined to get in the water, so I took on the activity of swimming with dolphins! The day I participated was sunny, and the waves weren't high, so I was able to see the dolphins right away on my first attempt! I saw a pod pass underneath me twice and even heard their calls, making it a satisfying experience.

I took motion sickness medication before getting on the boat, but since I tend to get seasick, I felt a bit unwell. However, once I got in the water, I forgot all about that and was completely absorbed in searching for dolphins. After the dolphins, we had a lesson with the sea turtle professor, and we went to a spot where sea turtles are known to live. In the clear water, I was lucky enough to spot five sea turtles from the rocks and took lots of photos with my underwater camera!

I didn't have the energy for the last activity, but those who were kayaking and paddle boating looked like they were having a great time without showing any signs of fatigue. Since I was able to encounter the dolphins without much trouble this time, it became a wonderful memory. If I have the chance to come back to Hawaii, I would love to participate in this activity again!

今回はそれ程苦労せずイルカと出会えた為か、すごくいい思い出になったので、またハワイにくる事があれば、こちらのアクティビティに参加したいと思います！！

I had a great time seeing dolphins and turtles with the energetic crew early in the morning! I think it's a good idea to take motion sickness medication, as you might experience seasickness. I ended up getting seasick and couldn't enjoy the slides in the second half, but my wife had a blast with the other participants. :) There are only the boat or the restroom to change back, so it might be a good idea to be prepared to head back wet.

I had a blast with Dolphins & You, the cruise was fantastic! The crew was fun, prompt, courteous, engaging and entertaining. We saw a lot of dolphins and they were swimming right next to us. What an amazing feeling it is to be so close to such lovely creatures.
The west side coast is so beautiful, the mountains and the ocean... every where you look you makes you want to take pictures! The snorkel part was also great and for lunch we had a delicious burger.
The boat is so much fun, when they stop on the second snorkel location you also have the chance to play with the water toys, they have water slide stand-up paddle and kayaks.
Even though it might seem like the west coast is far away from Waikiki, it's totally worth the trip. This tour has free pick-up from most of Waikiki hotels and the snorkel spots are much better than the ones in Waikiki. I highly recommend this dolphin cruise to everyone!

Swim with Dolphins is Real!!!

It was my day off and kids were at school so I figured, why not do a "me" just for a day! I invited my friend to join me since she happened to have the same day off. We booked the Morning Cruise at 7:00am since the water is usually warmer and calmer, and we decided to drive ourselves to the harbor. What's good is that there is a restaurant at the harbor where you can buy coffee or breakfast before heading out.

Upon check-in, we were already given our snorkeling equipments, and an option to rent their body suits, which we rented for $10 each. They asked us to sign the liability waiver, and I think' it's cool that they even take your instagram information so they can tag you photos (if you're in it) that they upload at the end of the tour.

The staff and crew are very funny and entertaining! As we were heading out to the ocean, they peformed Polynesian dancing, and playing ukulele. They also performed traditional Hawaiian prayer for our safety. As we were getting closer, we could already see the pod of dolphins, af the signal from the crew members, we jumped to the water and started to swim with these beautiful dolphins!!! I never swam with dolphins in the open water before and this was really exciting!! There were lootsss of them!!

We hopped back on to the boat for our next snorkeling location and that before jumping in the water again, we were given some activity options to take such as stand-up paddle boarding, canoe ride, water slide, and many more!! It was just an awesome experience!!
Their lunch burgers were delicious too which were served as we were headed back to the harbor. It was long day but it was all worth it!!

Oh by the way, make sure to take seasickness pills if you get nauseous easily!

When I put my face in the sea, I was able to see several dolphins swimming. It felt mysterious, and I was moved by the sight of the blue sea and the dolphins swimming.

In May, the sea was a bit cold, so I was glad I rented a wetsuit (for a fee). During our time, there were many guests from other countries, and the staff were very lively, making it a fun time on the boat. I could especially feel the staff's attitude of wanting the guests to enjoy themselves. It was a wonderful time.

Great family excursion! Absolutely fantastic trip with knowledgeable, informative and passionate crew. Friendly and relaxed. Swam with dolphins twice and saw several sea turtles. Our captain even found a second pod of dolphins so we could see another type. Watched spotted dolphins leaping into the air in our wake and even spotted a reef shark! Can't recommend highly enough!

I was not confident in my swimming skills and was anxious about my stamina, but the instructor provided excellent support. It was clear that they were paying close attention to each participant. I never imagined I could swim with so many dolphins and sea turtles. Just the amazing location alone was more than satisfying, but it was the warmth of the crew that truly healed me. I signed up for the 11 AM start. They came to pick me up around 9 AM in Waikiki. It was reassuring to have a Japanese staff member with us from pick-up to drop-off. The weather wasn't great, but we encountered a sea turtle right at the start. As soon as we began snorkeling, we were able to see a pod of dolphins. It felt like we were floating on the surface while watching the dolphins swim below us.

After about 30 minutes, we got back on the boat and enjoyed hamburgers while watching the staff perform hula. I didn't have high expectations for lunch, so it was neither good nor bad. Although it was mentioned that there would be SUP and a slide, there were very few of them, so we couldn't enjoy them much.

The staff were all young and seemed to be having fun joking around the whole time.

I signed up to receive photos on a USB for $55. There were quite a few photos, but only a few of them had us looking decent. Most were pictures of strangers who were on the same boat. I wasn't sure what to do with those. Additionally, there were many photos of dolphins and sea turtles that definitely weren't from today, which was disappointing. I didn't need those kinds of photos.

９時頃にワイキキにお迎えに来てくれます。
お迎えから送りまで日本人のスタッフさんがついていてくれるので安心感がありました。
天気はあまり良くなかったのですがスタートしていきなりウミガメに遭遇～
シュノーケリング始めるとすぐにイルカの群れを見ることができました。
海上にプカプカ浮きながら海中を泳いでるイルカを眺める感じでした。
３０分弱で船上にあがりスタッフのフラダンスを眺めながらハンバーガーをいただきました
ランチには期待してなかったので可もなく不可もなくといったところです。
SUPや滑り台もあると記載されてましたが数が少なく
なかなか楽しめませんでした

スタッフのみなさんお若くて
終始自分たちがふざけあって楽しんでらっしゃる

写真のボリュームはありましたが、自分たちがまともにうつってる写真は数枚
同船してた知らない人の写真ばかり
そんなのもらってもどうしてよいものか
また、絶対に今日の写真ではないイルカやウミガメの写真が盛りだくさん使われていたのにはガッカリ
