Parasailing lasts about 5 minutes. The view is amazing.
You will definitely get wet as you are dropped into the sea for photos. It's not scary.
If you're worried about seasickness, it's better to take medication.

After gathering at the harbor next to the Hilton, we set out to sea at full speed on a boat, and before we knew it, we were equipped and soaring into the sky. We had a 6-year-old child with us, but my wife and I were able to fly together with him. Up to a few meters high, the child was laughing, but as we rapidly ascended, his face stiffened and his voice trembled (laughs). We managed to encourage him (though we were scared too) and enjoyed the beautiful views of Honolulu. They take photos of you in the air, and you can purchase the SD card with those pictures. I think it was around $30. After the tour, they ask for tips. The atmosphere makes it hard to refuse, which raises some concerns. We reached 90 meters, which was quite a height. It became a wonderful memory.

On the second day in Hawaii, we received a call from the hotel that our plans were canceled due to a storm. It was my first time parasailing. They picked us up at our hotel, and we departed by boat near the Hilton Hotel. I really appreciated that there was no wasted time during the waiting and travel, allowing us to make the most of our valuable time during the trip. Everyone who participated was friendly and had a great time. When it was our turn and we moved on the boat, the staff kindly escorted us, so we felt no anxiety during the setup and enjoyed sailing in the beautiful sky of Waikiki. We went up to 150 meters, and it was absolutely amazing without any fear. The splash back into the sea on the way back was also a lot of fun! I will definitely participate again when I come back to Waikiki.

I had been interested in parasailing for a while, and experiencing it in Hawaii was just perfect. So, I went for it. My partner, who is my wife, doesn't like heights, so I participated alone.

In my group (at 4:00 PM), all 10 other participants were foreigners. From the pickup to the return to the hotel, everything was in English ONLY. There are staff who understand Japanese on-site, so if you’re not comfortable with English, it might be a good idea to let them know in advance. That said, I’m not that fluent either, but I actually enjoyed interacting with the cheerful guide, so it was fun in its own way.

It may vary by day, but on the day I went, the boat was quite rocky (especially the waves were a bit intimidating when leaving the bay), so those who are sensitive to motion sickness should be cautious.

On the boat, there was a laid-back and cheerful captain along with two crew members. They played upbeat music, danced, and told jokes, making for a cruise filled with laughter. However, the safety instructions were clear and easy to understand, all in English, but there weren't any complicated procedures, so it was manageable.

Originally, it seems you can't fly solo, but since everyone else was participating in pairs, I ended up flying solo. They assess the wind and wave conditions to ensure safety, so it seems casual but is actually quite responsible (which is to be expected, of course).

This time, I took the 150-meter course, and when I went up, it was higher than I had imagined! Up in the air, I was surprised by how quiet it was, as I couldn't hear the boat's engine anymore. I could see the entire Diamond Head, the round horizon, and the high-rise hotels of Honolulu along with the white sandy beaches in the distance. The long-awaited aerial stroll while only hearing the sound of the wind was amazing.

As expected, I was dropped into the water at the end and high-fived everyone while returning to the dock. The ride back to the hotel, listening to the cheerful driver’s rapid-fire talk, was also enjoyable, making for a very satisfying experience.

Overall, from the hotel pickup to the return, it takes about 2 hours, so if you have any free time, I highly recommend giving it a try!

・・・ということで、行ってまいりました。相方のカミさんは、高いのはダメなので、一人参加でした。
私の参加したグループ（16:00）は私以外の10名全て外人。送迎からホテル帰着まで、全て英語ONLYでした。現地には日本語わかるスタッフが居るので、英語ダメな方は、事前に伝えておいたほうが良いかも知れません。とは言え私もそんなに堪能なわけではないですが、陽気なガイドさんとのやり取りを、かえって楽しめた部分もあるので、それはそれで面白いと思いますが。
日によるとは思いますが、私の行った日はかなり船が揺れた（特に湾から出るちょっとビビるくらいの高さの波でした）ので、船に弱い方は要注意と思います。
船でもは、いい感じにいい加減(？)な乗りの良い陽気な船長とクルー2名が対乗船。ノリの良い音楽をかけて踊りながらJokeを飛ばし、終始笑いの絶えない、クルーズでした。とは言え、安全に係る説明や指示は、的確にわかりやすく、説明はすべて英語ですが、そんなに難しい手順があるわけでもなく、まあなんとかなります。
本来はSOLO(1人)では飛ばせないようなのですが、生憎皆さんペアでの参加でしたので、結局SOLOで飛部事になりました。きちんと風や揺れの状況見て判断するから大丈夫と、このあたりもいい加減なようで、きちんとしてます（まあ当たり前ですが (笑)）
今回は高さ150mのコースでしたが、上がってみると、想像していたより高い！上空では船のエンジン音も聞こえなくなり、静かなことに驚きます。遠くにダイアモンドヘッドの全景、丸い水平線、ホノルルの高層ホテル群や白い砂浜を遠望し、風の音だけを聞きながらの念願の空中散歩は最高でした。
お約束で最後に水に落とされ、皆とハイタッチしながら寄港。
また、陽気なドライバーさんのマシンガントークを聞きながらのホテルまでの帰り道も楽しく、大満足な体験ができました。
TOTALではホテルでのピックアップから帰るまで、2時間程度になりますので、少しでも時間が空けられる方は、ぜひ一度お試しください。

I participated with my mother. On the day, there were only three of us, including another group of women. After enjoying the view 150 meters up in the air with my mother, we unexpectedly went up again with the other group of women! I’m grateful for the staff's thoughtful arrangement! We went parasailing at my husband's request. I wasn't sure about the height, but we chose the middle option of 120 meters. It felt great to speed across the water on the boat, and it was enjoyable to watch the other passengers flying as well. Flying ourselves was truly the best experience. I challenged myself to 150 meters. At first, I was a bit lost, but once I tried it, it was so much fun that I absolutely recommend the 150 meters and the water splash!

Everyone except us was from overseas, so I felt a bit out of place, but the guide spoke to us in broken Japanese and made sure we were okay, so I never got bored.

If you ask, they will take photos for you! There were some unique shots, and I was really glad I had them take pictures since it was such a special trip.

This was my second time in Hawaii, but I participated with my boyfriend who was there for the first time. He was a bit scared at first because he isn't great with heights, but he had an amazing time!! I'm so glad I brought him along!!

The staff spoke English and were very friendly, so I felt comfortable participating. If you want photos, they ask you before you fly, so I don't think you'll be pressured into spending money.
