I participated once five years ago and returned this time for my honeymoon. This year marked the 60th anniversary of the Star of Honolulu, but to be honest, I felt that the quality of service, entertainment, and food had significantly declined. There was none of the lingering afterglow that I experienced before.
Regarding the service, the waitress at our table seemed to be still in training and was working alongside someone who appeared to be more experienced. There are always newcomers in any field, but her service was terrible. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive after ordering, and I had to reorder. When they finally came, they were the wrong items. The way she served the plates was also concerning, as she handed heavy plates over my head. A male floor manager came by several times to check if everything was fine, but it was quite bothersome. If he had time to ask that, I wished he would have taken our drink orders instead. Glasses were almost knocked over, and there were mistakes with the bill; it was just disappointing.
As for the entertainment, I used to enjoy a much more vibrant hula performance, but this time the long, dull opening songs lacked excitement. The food was also disappointing; the lobster had no flavor and was overcooked and tough. The steak had a lingering odor, and the accompanying vegetables were undercooked. I felt that the cost-performance ratio was very poor.

今年はスターオブホノルル60周年ということでしたが、率直に言って、サービス、エンタメ、料理ともにかなりクオリティが落ちたという印象。以前の、終わった後まで残る余韻のようなものがまるで感じられない。
サービスについては、私たちのテーブルを担当したウェイトレスさんが、どうやらまだ研修中だったらしく、先輩と思われる方と二人でサービスを担当。どの世界にも新人はいるものだが、この人のサービスはひどい。ドリンクはオーダー15分しても出て来ず、再度オーダー。やっと来たと思ったら、違うものが来る始末。皿のサーブも、重い皿を私の頭上越しに渡したり、見ていてヒヤヒヤ。フロアマネージャーらしき男性が何度もフォローのためが、everything's fine??などと聞きに来るが、かなりうるさい。そんな声がけの暇があるなら、ドリンクのオーダーを取りに来てほしい。グラスは倒しかけられる、会計は間違えると、とにかく残念。
エンタメも、以前はもっと熱気溢れるフラを観賞できたが、今回はつまらない前座の歌が長く、盛り上がりに欠けた。
料理も、ロブスターはまるで味がしないうえに、茹で過ぎてゴリゴリ。ステーキには臭みが残っていて、付け合せの野菜も半煮え。コスパが非常に悪いと感じた。

I participated with my grandchild. I usually opt for the course meal cruises, but this time I tried the buffet for the first time. It's undeniable that the quality of the food and entertainment was lacking, but my grandchild enjoyed it to some extent. I think once is enough for this experience. It was nice that the bus took us through the Christmas illumination streets on the way back, but we had already visited those places the day before. If I had known...

It was my first time seeing Waikiki from the ocean. The fireworks ended in about five minutes, but since we were seated on the third-floor deck for the appetizers, we had a great view during the fireworks.

It takes about 15 minutes by taxi from the center of Honolulu. There are about two places to drink at the cruise ship terminal, but there’s nothing else around. It feels like there used to be a shopping center here, but now it’s in ruins.
The staff on the cruise ship were very good. We got to see singing and dancing. However, I think it’s only enjoyable for people aged 50 to 60 and above. The songs they chose are old. The older guests were dancing, but most people were just sitting and relaxing on the deck. Don’t expect too much from the food, but the crab is reliably delicious. It’s a hassle to peel it yourself, but it’s all-you-can-eat.
There were a few people who were feeling seasick. If you’re prone to motion sickness, it’s better to skip this.
I recommend it for those over 60 who don’t get seasick.

クルーズ船乗り場には飲むところは2件くらいあり飲むところは2件くらいありましたが、他には何もありません
昔はショッピングセンターがあったんだろうなぁ、という感じの廃墟になってます。
クルーズ船のスタッフの対応はとてもよかったです
歌や踊りが見れました
でも、50〜60才以上の人じゃないと楽しめないと思います
選んでる曲が古いです
年配の方は踊ってましたが、ほとんどの人は甲板に出たり座ってゆっくりしてました。
料理はそんなに期待しないほうがいいです
でも、カニは安定の美味しさです
自分で剥くのは面倒ですが、食べ放題です
船酔いしてる人がチラホラいました
酔いやすい人はやめた方がいいです
船酔いしない、60才以上の人にはオススメです

On the last night of my stay in Honolulu on April 19th, I participated in an event. I thought it would be the off-season before Golden Week, but it was packed. I was concerned that the service might not be good, but the food was great, and the additional lobster came out quickly, which made me satisfied. Especially, the music performance, singing, and dancing allowed participants to join in and have a great time, which I believe was due to the staff's smiles and their desire to entertain the guests. In particular, the humor and excellent musical performance of the man who served as both the MC and main vocalist from start to finish were outstanding.
４月１９日ホノルル滞在最後の夜に参加しました。GW前のオフシーズンだと思っていましたが、満員でした。サービス良くないだろうと危惧していましたが、料理もよく、ロブスターの追加もすぐに出てくるなど満足しました。特に楽器演奏、歌、踊りなど参加者も一緒になって盛り上がることができたのは、スタッフの笑顔とゲストを楽しませようとする気持ちが伝わってきたからだと思います。特に、最初から最後まで、一人でMC兼メインボーカルを務めた男性のユーモアと素晴らしい楽器演奏は素晴らしかった。

My wife, daughter, grandson, and I participated. We were blessed with good weather on the day, and we were able to see the sunset in Hawaii and the fireworks in Waikiki, which are held every Friday, from the boat. It was an incredibly happy experience. The participants were tourists from all over the world, and I enjoyed conversing with foreigners in the English I had just learned. The food was also very delicious.

I haven't participated in other cruises, so I can't compare, but the service was good, the food was delicious, and the shows were fun, so I was very satisfied. I was a bit anxious about attending with children, but the crew was kind to them and took care of various needs, so the kids were happy.

The sunset view of Waikiki was amazing! Fortunately, I was able to see a beautiful shot of a large rainbow alongside Diamond Head. Such a view is unique to the cruise, so I’m glad I participated. The second half of the show was also very exciting and fun.
We added the window seat option for six people across three generations, but with a rectangular table, three of us ended up facing away from the window, making it difficult to enjoy the view. (The tables other than the window seats were round.) Additionally, since we were positioned right next to the stage, we felt the intensity up close, but we couldn’t see the overall picture. Honestly, I didn’t feel the added cost was worth it. Even without the window seats, there are great viewpoints where you can step out onto the deck to enjoy the scenery, so I think that would be sufficient.
This time was also a celebration for my elderly mother’s birthday, and she kept saying, “I had so much fun!!” It became a wonderful memory.
夕暮れのワイキキの景色が素晴らしかった！ラッキーなことに大きな虹とダイヤモンドヘッドの２ショットの景色も見ることができました。こんな眺めはクルーズならではなので、参加して良かったです。後半のショーもとても盛り上がって楽しかったです。
３世代６人で窓際確定オプションを追加したのですが、、四角いテーブルに６人がけだと３人は完全に窓際に背を向けることになり、かえって景色を楽しみ難いと感じました。（窓際席以外は丸テーブルでした）。また、ショーも真横で見る形となったため、間近なので迫力は感じられましたが全体像がわからず。。追加料金分の価値は正直感じられませんでした。窓際席以外でも、「ここぞ！」というビューポイントでは、離籍してデッキに行けば景色を堪能できるので、それで充分では？と思います。
今回は高齢の母の誕生日祝いも兼ねていたのですが、何度も「楽しかった！！」と言ってくれて、とても良い想い出になりました。

I participated with my husband on April 26, just before Golden Week. We were lucky to have great weather in Tojo. I think Japanese people might find the interior of the ship a bit cold. The food was plentiful; since I'm not a fan of steak, I changed my reservation to chicken. The all-you-can-eat crab is brought to your table by the waitstaff. A lively uncle played the ukulele and there was a Hawaiian show, and at the end, everyone, including the guests, joined in for a dance show, which was a lot of fun.
ゴールデンウィーク前の4月26日に主人と参加しました。東城はお天気に恵まれてラッキーでした。船内は日本人は寒いと思います。お料理はボリューミー、私はステーキが苦手なので予約の際チキンへ変更しておきました。食べ放題の蟹はウエイターの方が席へ運んでくれますよ。ノリの良いおじさんがウクレレ演奏そしてハワイアンショー最後にゲスト含めみんなでダンスショーで楽しかったです。

Good things: The food was delicious. The crew was efficient, cheerful, and polite. The sunset was very beautiful, and I was moved by it. The passengers were in a bright and lively mood.
A little tough: The bus departure location was crowded and the signs were hard to understand, which made me anxious until I received my ticket, as it was mixed up with other companies' tours and different tours.

I participated during my trip to Hawaii last year. My family has been on this cruise multiple times, but it was my first experience. It felt like a luxurious cruise, and the food was delicious for the price. One downside was that the bus driver on the way back seemed a bit careless (after stopping at a hotel to drop off guests, he started chatting with a group of white women passing by, and we were surprised that he didn't leave for a long time—he talked for over five minutes). Since it was late at night, I wished he had driven more responsibly. Next time, I would like to board on a Friday to see the fireworks.
去年のハワイの時に参加しました。家族は何度も乗っていますが、私は初体験。豪華なクルーズという感じで良かったです。お料理もお値段分は美味しかった。★一つマイナスは、帰りのバスの運転手さんがちょっと適当な感じだったので（途中のホテルで停車してゲストを下した後、通りすがりの白人女性グループに話かけてて、全然発車しないから驚きました。5分以上は話してました）夜遅くなる分、きちんと運転して欲しかったです。今度は花火を見に、金曜日に乗船してみたいですね。

I used this service five years ago, and my mother liked it so much that we decided to use it again this time. Although the weather was bad and we couldn't see the sunset, the food was very delicious, and the staff were cheerful, allowing us to have a great time. I hesitated because the five-star price was high, but the lobster was especially tasty, and I was satisfied with everything, so I plan to book this course again next time. Also, since it was Friday, we were able to enjoy the Hilton fireworks from the boat, which added a special touch to our experience.

You can enjoy delicious meals while watching the sunset over the ocean and the scenery of Waikiki. The three-star menu includes a salad, a large lobster, steak, dessert, and two drinks. There is also a small buffet of cheese and fruits. The price is somewhat high, but everything is delicious and satisfying. There is an entertainment show, but it only features dance, so I would like to see a bit more creativity.
海からのサンセット、ワイキキの街並みと景色を見ながら美味しい食事が楽しめます。3スターはサラダ、大ぶりロブスター、ステーキ、デザート、２杯のドリンク付きです。少しですがブッフェ形式のチーズとフルーツも。値段はそれなりにしますが、どれも美味しく満足です。エンターテイメントショーがありますが、こちらはダンスだけなのでもう少し工夫が欲しいです。

We participated with four friends. It was a 3-star experience, but the meat and crab were very delicious. The staff was friendly and smiling. We also enjoyed the singing and dancing showtime. The Mai Tai was tasty, and the sunset was perfect. Dinner cruises are definitely great. I recommend it. Since Aloha Tower is far from Waikiki, it's better to include transportation.

I have been living in Hawaii for about six months for work. I used this for a solo trip on my day off! I was able to choose options for breakfast and transportation to the location. I applied for the cheapest tour without any extras. I took The Bus to the location and was able to find the boat right away without any issues. I recommend The Bus for those with some time to spare! I only saw the whales for a brief moment, but since it's nature... there's nothing you can do about it. It's a limited-time event, so I can't participate now, but if I'm in Hawaii during the season again, I would like to join once more.

Sunset dinner cruise!!
I was really looking forward to it because it's Hawaii.
However...
Unfortunately, it rained (-_-;)
Since I participated in an all-you-can-eat buffet, I really wanted to enjoy watching the sun set into the ocean from the boat rather than focusing on the food.
So I was very disappointed, but I got to see many wonderful dances up close from the dancers, and there were also activities that involved the passengers, which made it a lot of fun.
I would love to go cruising again next time.
I hope the weather is nice then (＾◇＾)

あいにくの雨 (-_-;)
私が参加したのは、食べ放題ビュッフェだったので
お料理というよりも本当に太陽が海に沈んでいくのを

On Friday night, I decided to board the Star of Honolulu because I heard that fireworks would be launched from the Hilton Hotel and could be seen from the sea. First, I was very satisfied with the course meal centered around lobster and steak, along with two complimentary drinks and dessert. After that, there was a show, and I was able to see the fireworks. Even after the fireworks, the staff's dancing and entertainment were very satisfying.
金曜日の夜には、ヒルトンホテルから打ち上げられる花火が海上から見れるということで、金曜日にスターオブホノルルに乗ることにしました。まず、ロブスターとステーキを中心としたコース料理と無料のドリンク2杯、デザートまで大満足でした。その後ショーがあり、花火も見ることができたし、花火の後もスタッフのダンスや盛り上げも満足いくものでした。

I have traveled to Hawaii many times, but this time, due to my retirement and our 35th wedding anniversary, I signed up for a sunset dinner cruise through VELTRA for the first time and participated.
It might just be me, but when I boarded the ship, other participants were already having dinner, and when I was shown to my seat, there was no explanation at all. I had no idea what to do, and my dissatisfaction started piling up from the beginning of dinner. To make matters worse, the photos I purchased were not handed to me on the spot but were given to me when I was getting off, which wasted time checking the faces of the buyers against the photos, leaving me in a terrible mood.
As for the cruise itself, I had previously been on the Navatek, and since this one also operated near Diamond Head, I thought it was good.
何度もハワイ旅行に行っていますが、今回は退職、結婚35年ということもあって、初めてサンセットディナークルーズをＶＥＬＴＲＡを通じて申し込み、参加しました。
私だけかもしれませんが、船舶に乗り込んだ時には、他の参加者はすでにディナーを取っており、席に案内された際に何の説明もなく、何をすればよいのか全然わからず、ディナー開始から不満が積もり、挙句の果てには購入した写真をその場で渡さず、降りる際に渡したため、購入者の顔と写真のチェックに無駄な時間だけがかかり、気分は最悪でした。
クルーズ自体は、以前ナバティック号に乗ったこともあり、今回もダイヤモンドヘッド近くまで運行したので良かったと思います。
