Playing in the sea at Angel's Beach. Unfortunately, when I went, the tide was not low, and it was quite deep. However, I enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. The strong point here is that there are Japanese staff members and many staff who can understand Japanese. Since many of the tour participants are Japanese, I definitely recommend it if that makes you feel more comfortable.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and the live music on the boat created a fun and relaxing atmosphere on the way to our destination. The location was beautiful, and our children especially loved the snorkeling and paddle boarding activities.

Although we brought our own snorkeling gear, we were impressed that the tour provides everything you need—snorkeling masks, lifejackets, and more—which makes it incredibly convenient. You really don’t need to haul your own equipment.

This experience was truly the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend it for all ages—for reference, our children are 6 and 7 years old.

I was worried since I went with a small child and a senior, but I received incredibly supportive assistance. The child was initially scared during the first entry into the water and couldn’t see the dolphins, but we were able to spot dolphins early on, allowing for multiple entries into the water. We got to see a rare type of dolphin called the false killer whale, which came very close, exciting the guide as well, and the kids were thrilled! We also saw many sea turtles at another spot, took photos underwater, and enjoyed sitting on the edge of the speedboat like on a banana boat. By the end, they were having so much fun that they didn’t want to leave. The sea was beautiful as well. I don’t speak any English, but thanks to our Japanese guide, Ryuichi, I was able to participate in the tour with peace of mind. The guides, Brooke, Jason, and Brian, all contributed to making wonderful memories. I was also worried about getting cold, but I was able to borrow a wetsuit, so I enjoyed myself without shivering from the cold. Prescription goggles were also available for rent. I’m really glad I chose Dolphin Academy among the various tours available.

ガイドのブルックさん、ジェイソンさん、ブライアンさんみんなで盛り上げてくれて最高の思い出を作ることができました。
体の冷えも心配していましたが、ウェットスーツを借りることができたので、寒さに震えることなく楽しめました。度付きのゴーグルも貸してもらえます。色々あるツアーの中でイルカ中学さんを選んで本当に良かったです。

On July 19th, during our trip to Hawaii, my family and I (a party of 12) attended the Waikiki Luau with All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, Fire Dance & Rock-A-Hula. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip.

From the start, the event felt more like a tourist trap than a cultural celebration. The performers wore plastic grass skirts and danced on astroturf, which cheapened the experience and made it feel like a stylized imitation rather than a tribute to Hawaiian tradition.

The buffet was just as underwhelming. The meats were dry and chewy, and several of us left our meals half-eaten. We all ended up searching for food elsewhere after the show.

When purchasing tickets, we noted that they included premier seating for the show—something we specifically chose so the younger members of our group could engage and see the performance clearly. However, we were seated near the back with no explanation. The seating appeared entirely random, and there was no effort to honor the premier designation.

The show itself was bizarre. It was supposedly a journey through Hawaiian music and culture, but the execution was confusing. While we expected an Elvis tribute, it felt like a full concert with song after song. Then came a Michael Jackson impersonator performing Thriller and several other full-length songs. We learned during the show that he once performed at Aloha Stadium, but the connection felt forced and irrelevant. A few of us dozed off, while others sat in disbelief trying to make sense of it.

The performance dragged on far too long. With a tighter runtime and focus on authentic Hawaiian culture, it could have been enjoyable. The fire dancer was the highlight, but came too late to redeem the evening.

Overall, this luau was inauthentic, overpriced, and not worth it. We wouldn’t recommend it.

There were various pools, slides, and dynamic attractions, and it was so much fun. The sun was intense, and I got sunburned. My body was covered with a rash guard, but since my face got wet, I think the sunscreen came off. My feet, which were in sandals, also got quite sunburned.

When going to the attractions, I took off my sandals and lined up. Many people left their sandals at the starting point. Once barefoot, the ground was so hot that it felt like I might get burned. But that too is a fun memory.

I didn't use a locker for my belongings. There were many chairs lined up near the wave pool, and I claimed a spot there to leave my things. (I carried my phone and valuables in a waterproof case.)

It was so much fun that I played without even having lunch!

荷物はロッカーには預けませんでした。波のプールの近くにたくさんイスが並べてあり，そこで拠点となる場所取りをして，荷物も置いておきました。（携帯電話や貴重品は防水ケースに入れて持ち歩いていました。）

楽しすぎて，お昼ご飯も食べずに，遊びました！

I watched my middle and high school sons do parasailing, bumper tubing, and banana boating. We traveled by boat from the meeting point to a relay station in the middle of the bay, where we observed them while they enjoyed bumper tubing and banana boating. While the kids played in the distance, the staff around us occasionally chatted with us in Japanese and English, which kept us entertained.

For parasailing, even though we were just spectators, we all put on life jackets and took a small boat to the parasailing boat. Without any mental preparation, we sped across the sea at high speed, with waves splashing on our faces. Despite feeling scared, we all laughed together as a family and had a great time.

There were photos from all three activities, so it cost about $90-100, but since there were many videos and pictures taken with a telephoto DSLR and a GoPro, I thought it was reasonable.

写真は3種目分ありましたので90-100ドルしましたが、望遠一眼レフやGoProを使っての動画や写真が沢山あったので、まあそんなものかなと思いました。

The tour wasn't bad, but I was disappointed because the sandbar was "not what I expected‼️" I thought we would be able to land on a sandy beach, but there was none at all... We only stood in shallow water. Even though I could have tolerated water up to my ankles, it was actually deep enough to submerge me to my chest, so it felt like I was dropped into the sea 😭 I wanted to walk on the sandy beach, and to be more specific, I wanted to sit on the beach and eat a hamburger 💧 Eating a hamburger on a crowded boat... 💧 I can't even remember if it was delicious because I was so concerned about my surroundings.

I watched from the cheap seats at the back, but I could see everything and the atmosphere was perfect; it was amazing. It felt like watching Olympic gymnastics with perfect technique and an engaging structure, making the hour and a half fly by. On the first day of my trip, I was a bit drowsy before the 5:30 PM start, but once it began, I was wide awake and enjoyed it until the very end. I definitely want to see it again next time.

Since I was planning to head towards Kailua in the afternoon, I didn't arrange for a shuttle and used the city bus instead. I obtained a prepaid card called Holo Card, which is exclusive to city buses, before heading to the location. (At ABC, only one-day passes are sold, so it's better to purchase a rechargeable card at places like Seven-Eleven.) The city bus is used frequently during the trip, so it's preferable to get it on the first day. The bus arrived almost on time, but the air conditioning was strong, so a light jacket is necessary. The bus fare is quite reasonable at a daily maximum of $7.50 compared to other transportation options, making it recommended for those looking to save money. I feel that a taxi would cost around $50 to $60? In Hawaii, prices fluctuate significantly based on supply and demand. Route searches can be done easily with Google Maps. I also used an app called DaBus2, but it seemed a bit difficult to use.

At the location, a Japanese guide (a local) provided explanations in Japanese, and although it was somewhat broken, it was understandable. There were a few Japanese tourists as well, so I think it's manageable even if you don't understand everything. The shuttle bus was almost full, mostly with Japanese people. There were also Japanese crew members on the boat who provided guidance in both English and Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

When standing on the sandbar, the water was up to my waist. They lend various items like stand-up paddleboards, floaties, and beach balls. First, we played with the equipment, and then we all went snorkeling over the coral reef. ただフィンがないので進むのは結構大変でした。私は犬かきで動き回ってましたが主人は泳げるのに「全然進めない…」と言ってました。
見たかった海亀を沢山見れてすっごく楽しかったです！触れたらいけないのにすぐ目の前にいた時もありスムーズに動けない私はワタワタしました（笑）
船の上から見たのも含めて5、6匹は見れました！
海もめちゃくちゃ綺麗で円安で高かったけど参加して本当に良かったです。

I’m not good with the thrill of roller coasters, so I was honestly quite nervous before getting on. However, once I experienced it, there was almost no feeling of weightlessness or fear, and I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind!

Above all, the breathtaking views of Hawaii from the sky were truly amazing!

As others have mentioned, since there is some time spent on the boat, I think it’s a good idea for those who are prone to motion sickness to take some medicine beforehand.

Since I hadn't booked many activities for this trip, I asked a local acquaintance for recommendations, and they mentioned that Cirque du Soleil, which just opened last year, is very popular. My wife & I took our 3 daughters (17, 13, 9) on this excursion and it was amazing. The music was great, and the crew was awesome. Our youngest got a little chilly at times, but plenty of space to chill right off the back of the boat. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. lots of fun.
