This was my third time kayaking, so I didn't take a guide. Before departure, I checked a 10-minute explanation on a tablet. When we reached the beach, a young man asked in English, "It's from a nearby shop, do you need support?" I thought I would be asked for a tip, so I declined with a "No thank you" (he might have been genuinely kind; another young man helped pull the kayak up to the sandy beach when we were leaving).

The uninhabited island seemed to be about 300 meters away, but it was difficult to get on the kayak at the water's edge. We laughed while getting on, even as we tipped over. After that, we paddled right and left, struggling to balance our power, and with the waves, I felt a bit anxious about whether we would be okay. After about ten minutes, we got into a rhythm and arrived at the uninhabited island in about twenty minutes.

After that, we paddled steadily towards the coral reef at Lanikai Beach. We borrowed snorkeling gear, left the kayak on the beach, and went snorkeling. I had put my sunglasses, shoes, and boots in a mesh bag for snorkeling, but since I didn't secure it properly, some of the items floated away. I found a few later, but remember to close the bag tightly. This took about three hours.

After eating, we rented bicycles and went cycling. I had planned to try bodyboarding, but the waves weren't that strong. 無人島は300mくらい先のようですが、まず波打ち際でカヤックに乗るのが難しい。沈しながら、笑いながら乗船。その後は、右に行ったり、左に行ったり、二人のパワーバランスが揃わず、波もあり、大丈夫なのか？とちょっと不安になりました。１０分くらいすると調子も出てきて、２０分くらいで無人島に到着。
その後は、ラニカイビーチのサンゴ礁を目指してひたすら漕ぐ。シュノーケリングのセットを借りたので、浜辺にカヤックを置いて、シュノーケリング。シュノーケリングを入れる網袋にサングラス、靴、ブーツなどをいれていましたが、口をしっかり留めなかったので、中に入れていたものが流れてしまいました。いくつかはその後見つかりましたが。口をしっかり締めることをお忘れなく。これで３時間くらい。
食後、自転車を借りてサイクリング。ボディーボードをやろうと思っていましたが、それほどの波はありませんでした。

My husband and I loved the BYOB Sunset Cruise. The crew was expert and helpful. They took pictures of couples and families if you asked and generally made everything fun and casual. I had never been on a catamaran before and I felt perfectly comfortable.It's a small craft, so you will get wet, but not soaking (unless you opt to ride on the webbing up front). Memories for a lifetime!

I experienced it for the first time. It was really high!! Looking down, the sea was far away and the boat looked tiny, and I was genuinely scared thinking the rope might snap and I would fall... My son, who was with me, seemed to be having a great time, but I was too scared to enjoy it at all. I ended up chanting a prayer. The time felt incredibly long. However, towards the end, when we splashed into the water, it was fun. Everyone was getting splashed, and we all laughed together.

The boat staff were friendly and engaging, even with Japanese guests. I definitely recommend experiencing this. It will become a lifelong memory.

As for the meeting point, it took about 20 minutes to walk leisurely from the center of Waikiki while checking Google Maps. You don't need to take the trolley.

初めて体験しました。いやもう高い！！足元を見ると海面も遠くボートもちっちゃく、ロープが切れて落ちるんじゃないかと思うと本当に怖かった、、、。一緒に乗った息子はとても楽しそうでしたが、私は怖すぎて無でした。念仏唱えました。時間もえらく長く感じました。しかし最後の方で水面にぼちゃん！は楽しかった。どの組もぼちゃんやられててみんなで笑いました。
ボートのスタッフは日本人にも気さくにどんどん絡んでくるフレンドリーな方でした。
ぜひ体験することをおすすめします。
一生の思い出になりますよ。

待ち合わせ場所ですが、ワイキキの中心からグーグルマップみながらのんびり歩いてたしか20分くらいでした。トロリー乗らなくても大丈夫ですよ。

There was absolutely no white sandy beach due to high tide. As for snorkeling, the water wasn't particularly clear, and while the staff fed the fish to attract them, there were only a few dark-colored ones; it wasn't an experience that would leave you in awe with beautiful fish.

There are many jagged corals, so going barefoot is dangerous. It really hurts if you bump into them, so I recommend wearing marine shoes.

It was my first time on a banana tube, and it was a lot of fun. I almost fell off several times but managed to hold on tightly and stay safe. I didn't try the banana boat, but I think the bumper tube is more thrilling and allows you to scream your heart out.

Lastly, even though it was midsummer, it was incredibly cold. They only have cold drinks available. Make sure to bring a jacket and a beach towel. Even wearing a hoodie, it was cold. By the way, they sell long-sleeved hoodies at ABC as well. In Hawaii, it’s freezing inside buildings, on buses, and on boats.

最後に、真夏でしたがまじで死ぬほど寒いです。飲み物は冷たいものしかありません。必ず上着、ビーチタオルを持っていってください。パーカー着ても寒い。ちなみにABCでも長袖のパーカーなど売っています。ハワイは建物内もバスも船の上も死ぬほど寒いです。

It had been quite a while since I last rode a catamaran, so it was a nice change.

At this time of year, I think you don't have to worry too much about the weather, but since there was a hurricane, I wanted to see the beach as soon as we arrived in Hawaii, so I made a last-minute reservation.
It was fine to book the day before, and I received an immediate confirmation email. There were no issues with check-in on the day.

Boarding involved getting wet up to about my knees, and there’s a rule to shake off the sand from your sandals before getting on. The seating is first-come, first-served, but everyone was courteous and shared.

Once we set sail and headed out, we caught the wind. The front of the boat took quite a bit of spray, but that’s part of the fun of being on a catamaran.
While it was calm at the beach that day, there were significant waves offshore, and we glided over them.
The first half was quite an intense activity, but on the way back, we enjoyed a peaceful sail while taking in the views of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki.

The downside was the location.
Based on my old memories, I headed towards the Sheraton, but I couldn't get through from the pool area and had to take a long detour from the parking lot to reach it.

この日はビーチだと穏やかでしたが、沖は結構な波で、滑空するように波を乗り越えます。
前半はかなり激しいアクティビティでしたが、後半の帰りはダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキの街並みを眺めながら、穏やかなセイリング。
いい写真撮れました。

難点は開催場所。
昔の記憶でシェラトンの辺りに向かうとプールの辺りから通り抜けられず、駐車場の方から大回りしてたどり着きました。
カイマーケットか、プールあたりからはいけそうなんですが、シェラトンの宿泊者限定っぽい感じで。
ルート案内がもう少し情報があれば。

The staff were kind, funny, and absolutely wonderful. They played with my child using water guns. The transportation staff were also friendly and gentlemanly. During snorkeling, when I felt a bit scared, they led me and said, "Let's go together." I've participated in several overseas tours, but I've never felt as safe and enjoyed myself as much as I did here. I highly recommend this tour.

We took a boat from the port, which we reached by bus in about an hour from Ala Moana. The live music was lovely, and the lunch was quite tasty.

On that day, the wind was strong and the water was cold, so I returned to the boat after wading in up to my waist. Since my condition and the water temperature didn't match well, I gave it four stars.

My two college-aged daughters enjoyed kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming for a full two and a half hours. Most of the other guests were having fun in the sea.

I recommend bringing thick bath towels for everyone! The sea was beautiful, but there weren't many fish at the snorkeling spot. The fun guide, the burgers on the boat, and the warm drink at the end were great! Thank you!

They wanted to renew their vows on the beach, but with my father having Parkinson's, I knew it would be a difficult trek through the sand. While searching, I came across the Star of Honolulu. They had everything we were looking for. My Father could have use of his mobility scooter, as the boat had an elevator. The dinner and entertainment were good, and the ceremony performed by the captain was intimate. The captain made sure that my father was comfortable and safe during the ceremony and paid special attention to both of my parents. It was a special time and one we won't forget.

The stargazing event at Ko Olina in HAWAII was really great! ✨ Although the lights from the surrounding hotels made it a bit difficult to see some stars, the explanations about the stars were thorough. We got to use two telescopes: one high-precision telescope with electronic GPS and a regular one, and all participants took turns looking through them. The teacher also provided explanations while showing the stars on a PC screen. They spoke in broken Japanese, so families with children might find that the kids may not understand the English explanations. Japanese participants should keep this in mind when joining! As soon as I exited the airport, there was a staff member waiting, which made it easy to find. It took about 40 minutes to get to Waikiki. (It felt like it took a bit longer because we stopped at other people's hotels.)

空港の出口を出たらすぐに係員の人が待っていたのでわかりやすかったです。ワイキキまでは40分くらいでした。(他の方のホテルを回ったので少し時間がかかった印象)
