I feel like I've been coming to Hawaii on this ship every year. I love the view of Waikiki and the hotels when I look back after heading out to sea 😊. The scenery that disappears at night can be fully appreciated during the day. I'm also looking forward to seeing the back of Diamond Head. Sea turtles and dolphins... they show up every year as well.

First of all, the closing time is too early at 3 PM. On the day of my visit, the lazy river and some slides were closed. The price was too high for just the wave pool. It also took about 30 minutes to get our food after ordering, even though it wasn't crowded at all. I reserved a cabana, but it wasn't necessary due to the short operating hours.

I was drawn to the East Oahu Scenic Line and decided to book it. During my trip to Hawaii two months ago, I enjoyed the Waikiki Trolley service, so this time I took the same East Oahu Scenic Line with the Lealea Trolley. Both drivers were great at keeping the atmosphere lively, but I found Lealea to be just a bit better; it might just be a matter of luck. I booked a plan for 3 nights and 5 days, but on the day of the Aloha Street Jam, even though I waited at Ala Moana, no buses came due to the crowd, and I was able to get back quickly by taking The Bus right in front of me... I only used the trolley 5 times over the 4 days. I thought maybe I should have gotten a one-day pass. For the less frequent services, I lined up about 40 minutes early at the Royal Hawaiian Center for the first bus. I expected it to be a bit easier to hop on, so I hope they increase the frequency for the popular ones. Also, considering the price of The Bus, I felt that the one-day pass was a bit expensive compared to other trolley buses.

I participated because I learned that there was a permanent show by Cirque du Soleil. This time, I was in the second row, almost in the center!

It had a Hawaiian vibe, with acrobatics and humor on stage. I felt a bit disappointed that I couldn't understand the words, but other than that, I was close to the stage, it was powerful, and very impressive! There were constant surprises. It was full of moments where I thought, "Wow, that's amazing!"

This is the 2nd time in 2 years that I have done this catamaran cruise to watch the Friday night fireworks from the water. This time I invited friends who are locals to join me. They were impressed. The crew is amazing. The drinks are great, the view is spectacular. Unfortunately the fireworks show seems to get shorter every year. HOWEVER, that is not the fault of the crew. It’s still an amazing evening and I will do it again next trip despite the fact that I typically stay at the Hilton and could see the fireworks from my condo or from the beach, but doing it with Ke Kai takes the whole experience to a whole new level.

Last time, I participated in a different sandbar tour with Veltra around the same time, but it was so deep that my daughter, who is nearly 140 cm tall, couldn't touch the bottom, and it was cold, so we wanted to try again. It was really great!! We saw a lot of fish and were able to do many marine sports, which was the best. I participated on September 10. Despite paying a fairly high fee, three activities were closed. By around noon, it seemed that the staff were short-handed due to their breaks, leading to even more closed activities. They did not reopen until we boarded the return bus before 3 PM. I was hesitant to participate because I'm not good with heights, but I decided to join since it was a special opportunity. Once I got up there, the fear disappeared, and I was just able to enjoy the wonderful scenery. It was an extraordinary experience. Before I knew it, it was over, and I was laughing. The final landing was expertly done by the professionals, gently touching down in the sea. It really got my adrenaline pumping. The boat was quite rocky, so a strong motion sickness pill is a must.

高い所は苦手で参加するか迷いましたが、せっかくなのでと参加しました。
上がってしまえば怖さはなく、ただただ素敵な景色が見える♪非日常な体験です。
ワーワー言っているうちに終わります笑

I saw many comments about seasickness, so I took motion sickness medication beforehand and participated. However, the time to reach the sea turtle spot was shorter than I had imagined, and the rocking of the boat wasn't too severe. The staff provided detailed explanations and kindly encouraged everyone to take photos on board. When we arrived at the spot, each person jumped into the sea, but before that, they checked our snorkeling masks.

We were able to see a total of five sea turtles. In the water, everyone could swim freely, and it felt like we each returned to the boat after fully enjoying the experience. Since I got cold in the sea, it was helpful that there was a restroom on the boat. Although the public restroom at the meeting point was unavailable, there was a notice indicating that we could use the restroom at the hotel right in front, which I appreciated.

ウミガメは延べ5匹見れました。海の中では各自が自由に遊泳できたし、充分満喫してからそれぞれが船に戻る感じでした。海で体が冷えたので、船内にトイレがあったのも助かりました。集合場所にある公衆トイレは使用できなかったですが、すぐ前のホテルのトイレが使用できるとの張り紙があり使わせていただきました。
