There was a foreign family near our table, and their reactions were very animated, which contributed to the atmosphere and helped us enjoy our time even more.

I participated with four friends.
The food was average... not very tasty.
However, we really enjoyed the hula dancing and the interactive events!
Even the older participants were really into it.
We dressed up a bit, but everyone else was in casual attire.
It was mostly Japanese people there.

It's quite a large ship for an enchanting dinner cruise! The food, drinks, and service are average. However, the party time where everyone participates is a blast with the high-energy waiters. It's enjoyable for people of all ages! That might be the best part of this cruise. Overall, it's a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, on this day, the waves were high, and many people got seasick. As soon as we saw the sunset, we hurried back to the port and anchored in the bay. Thanks to the captain's good judgment, we avoided the rough seas and started dinner! Well, there's not much you can do about nature, but you need to be prepared for rough conditions!

結構大きめの船で魅惑のディナークルーズ！食事も飲み物もサービスも普通。ただ、全員参加型のパーティータイムはハイテンションのウェイターとともにはっちゃけられます。老若男女問わず！！それがこのクルーズで一番良かったことでしょうか。とにかく楽しいです。
あいにくこの日は波が高く、船酔い者続出。サンセットをみるなり急ぎ足で港に戻り湾内で停泊。船長の好判断で揺れを免れディナー開始！！まぁこればっかりは自然相手なのでどうにもできませんが、しけると大変ですので覚悟がいります！

We participated in the buffet and show as a family. The ride was bumpier than I expected, and I felt nauseous during the meal.

However! The hula dance show and the view of the sunset sinking into the horizon were so beautiful that I forgot all about it.

After the meal, we went up to the deck to enjoy the night view of Oahu. To wrap things up, we danced with the crew and had a great time, making wonderful memories.

ビュッフェ＆ショーに家族で参加しました。
乗り物に弱い私には思っていた以上の揺れで、食事では気分が悪くなってしまいました。

I attended with my parents. It was a cheap dinner course, but we were able to eat plenty, and the taste wasn't bad. Although we weren't by the window, we could see the sunset and had a good view of the city skyline and the dance, which was sufficient. Since we had our wedding ceremony in Hawaii, we participated as a group for the subsequent dinner party. The schedule allowed for a bit of time between the ceremony and the departure, but it seems everyone was able to pass the time well at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.

We used the bus shuttle service, but the Sheraton bus rotary was a bit chaotic with various tour companies mixed together.

The content of the dinner cruise was excellent, and there were interactive events for guests, which made it very enjoyable. We also had plenty of time to go out on the deck and enjoy the scenery. It can get a bit chilly after sunset, so it might be a good idea for women to bring something to wear over their outfits for added comfort.

ディナークルーズの内容は申し分なく、お客さん参加型のイベントもありとても楽しかったですし、デッキに出て景色を楽しむ時間も十分にありました。日が落ちると少々寒くなるので女性の方は何か羽織る物を用意したほうが安心かもしれません。

I saw it~☆ After about 30 to 40 minutes on the boat, we spotted a whale in the distance☆ But then, for a while, we didn't see anything... Just as the announcement of "We're heading back to port" came on, a moment of disappointment washed over us, and then suddenly, about two whales appeared really close by~~ They raised their tails and splashed down!! It was amazing!! I was so moved that I forgot to take pictures...

でも、それからしばらく何も見えず。。。

I used the service on January 8. We were able to see the tails of whales about three or four times off the coast of Honolulu. The meals were satisfactory and matched the price. From the moment we boarded the ship, we were welcomed with songs and dances. The weather was great, and the sunset was absolutely stunning. Additionally, various shows (including dances other than hula) were presented one after another, leaving no time to get bored. I went with my parents and four younger sisters, and we were all very satisfied. One concern I had was that when I called the local number for confirmation, even though it was supposed to be a Japanese-speaking line, it was all in English. If there are no Japanese speakers available, I would appreciate it if the information could be presented more clearly.

Having joined other whale watching tours in the past, I can share my thoughts for comparison:

If you really want to see whales, you should go on a small, fast, and maneuverable boat.

I recommend a small group tour that stops the boat if dolphins are spotted and allows you to dive into the sea.

However, for those with children or those who may feel uneasy about small boats, this large boat tour might be the right choice.

It might be better to join with the mindset of hoping to see whales while enjoying a lunch cruise. The food is quite delicious, and there are events on board, so I think it's a tour that won't disappoint.

過去、他にもホエールウォッチングに参加していますので、
比べた感想を言いますと、

クジラを本当に見たいのなら、速度の速い、小回りのきく
小さい船でいくべきです。

クジラのほかにもイルカが見えたら船を止め、
海にもぐらせてくれるような、
そんな少人数のツアーがお勧めです。

しかし子連れや、船酔いなど、小型の船が不安な人にとっては
この大型船のツアーは正解かと思います。

ランチクルーズしたついでに、クジラが見えればいいかな、
という考え方で参加したほうがいいかもしれません。
でも料理はなかなか美味しいですし、船内のイベントもありますし、はずれのないツアーかと思います。

I couldn't see any whales. The boat was large and I didn't feel much rocking. The top deck was very pleasant. However, there were only a few chairs, so it's best to be at the top from the start. If you don't see any whales, you can get a free ticket for another ride, but there was a long line. There were many foreigners, but there were also Japanese announcements, so there were no particular issues.

I wanted to ride the Star of Honolulu again after my last trip to Hawaii, and while searching, I discovered a fireworks viewing and countdown course on December 31. Since it was a special countdown, I decided to sign up for a more extravagant and memorable experience.

The Star of Honolulu is not just a simple dinner cruise where you enjoy a meal and the night view; it’s a meaningful experience where you sing and dance with the staff. We welcomed the countdown on the deck, and we were able to see fireworks from both the Ala Moana area and the Kahala area, as well as fireworks from various other districts, making for a truly luxurious time.

I also ordered champagne, but when I requested to change it to a non-alcoholic option (Shanmeri) on-site, they handled it without any complaints, and the staff was very kind and helpful. I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

前回の渡ハの時に乗船したスターオブホノルルに再度乗りたく思い、探していると12月31日の花火観賞＆カウントダウンってコースがあるのを発見。
折角のカウントダウンなので、ちょっと豪勢に、そして記憶に残るカウントダウンにしたくて申し込みました。
このスターオブホノルル、ただ食事をして夜景を見て楽しむ単純なディナークルーズではなく、スタッフと一緒に歌って踊ってこそ意味のあるコースです。
カウントダウンは、デッキで迎えた訳ですが、アラモアナ地区であがる花火とカハラ地区？であがる花火を両方（その他色々な地区の花火も見える）見ることができ、とても贅沢な時間を迎えることが出来ました。
追加で、シャンパンを頼んでいたのですが、現地でノンアルコール（シャンメリー）に変更をお願いしたのですが嫌な顔ひとつせず対応してくれましたし、スタッフも親切で助かりました。
また機会があったら参加したいと思います。

This was my fourth time participating in the sunset dinner cruise, and I felt that the content changes each time, making it enjoyable no matter how many times you go. This time, I went with my mother and chose the window seat plan, and she was very happy!

However, I might not recommend it for those who want to enjoy a quiet dinner cruise. At first, you can leisurely enjoy dinner while taking in the view of Waikiki from the sea, but in the second half, there was dancing (kind of disco-like?), which felt quite American and lively. But I had a great time (laughs). The sunset was absolutely beautiful. There was nothing to distract from the sea, sky, and sunset—no buildings or anything—and it brought tears to my eyes.

One regret was that I wanted to take my time watching the hula before boarding. Overall, I give it a thumbs up!

私はこのサンセットディナークルーズは４度目の参加でしたが、毎回内容が変わっていて何度乗っても楽しむことができると思いました。また、今回は母と二人で、窓際確定プランにしましたが、母はとても喜んでいました！
ただ、静かにディナークルーズを楽しみたい！という方には、オススメできないかもしれません。というのも、はじめはゆっくりと海から見えるワイキキを見てディナーを楽しめますが、後半はダンス（ディスコ的な？）でかなりアメリカンで賑やかなかんじでした。でも、私は楽しんじゃいましたけど（笑）そして、サンセットはすっごくよかったですよ。海と空と夕日だけで他に邪魔する物（建物とか）がなく、涙が出てきてしまいました。

残念だったのは乗船前のフラをゆっくり見たかったです。
でも、総合的に◎ですよ！

I participated in the morning plan on December 26. I had joined two years ago, but I could only see something that looked like a whale in the distance, so since it was my last day before returning home, I thought I would enjoy the view from the sea one last time. However...!! From around Diamond Head, whales appeared here and there, jumping one after another!! Everyone was cheering and overjoyed. I saw the very jumps that are often featured in photos on the website right in front of me. I had my digital camera ready and was randomly pressing the shutter, and to my surprise, quite a few good shots came out!! I think whether or not you see whales is a matter of luck, but I never expected such a big show!! It was so much fun. The two hours flew by. The transportation was also very efficient, and I didn't have any issues. You can enjoy the scenery alone, but seeing the whales jump is incredibly exciting!! I definitely want to participate again when I go in the winter.

12月26日午前プランに参加しました。2年前にも参加したのですが、遠くにクジラらしき物が見えた程度だったので、帰国する日だったし、最後に海から景色を楽しもうと思って参加しました。ところが・・・！！ダイヤモンドヘッド沖辺りからクジラがあっちにもこっちにも現れ・・・次々にジャンプするではありませんか！！もう、みんな歓声をあげて大喜びです。よく、ホームページ等に載っている写真そのもののジャンプが目の前で見られました。持っていたデジカメを見当をつけて構え、適当にシャッターを押していたのですが、結構写っていてこれもびっくり！！クジラが現れるかどうかは運しだいだと思うのですが、こんなにも大サービスしてくれるとは！！とっても楽しかったです。あっという間の２時間でした。
送迎もてきぱきしていて困ったことはありませんでした。景色だけでも楽しめますが、やはりクジラのジャンプを見られると大興奮です！！また冬に行ったときには絶対参加したいと思っています。

On my first night in Hawaii, I went on a sunset cruise. Before boarding, I enjoyed watching Polynesian dances like hula, making the wait time enjoyable. On the boat, there was delicious food and a breathtaking sunset. Not only the sunset, but the view of Waikiki also changed beautifully over time, and that was stunning as well.
