Our guide was fantastic. I'm an okay swimmer but I freaked out and couldn't get used to breathing through the snorkel gear. The guide and his wife help me a lot. I finally got the hang of it and snorkeled like a pro! Also I forgot my go pro and luckily the guide took pics and uploaded them on Facebook. Definitely coming back in the summer time!

This was my second time in Hawaii, and I finally got to snorkel at Hanauma Bay! The beauty from my first visit left the biggest impression on me in Hawaii, and I had always wanted to dive there since then, so it was truly moving. I was taken care of by instructors Chieko and Dan☆ Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any sea turtles, but it was a fun time that went by in a flash. I definitely want to visit again when I go to Hawaii ( ´﹀` ).

This was my first time snorkeling, and I was very anxious, but our guides, Chieko and Dan, were kind and made me feel very comfortable. Everyone snorkeled while wearing life jackets, so I felt secure even without swimming, which was a relief physically. This tour was the only one that promised underwater photos as a gift, and the photos were absolutely amazing!

I went in mid-November without a wetsuit. It was cold when I first entered the water, but I quickly warmed up. Everyone around me was wearing wetsuits, including our guides, Chieko and Dan, for sun protection. While having a wetsuit might be safer, it was fine without one, and I felt good. Renting one on the day was not possible.

I brought a waterproof case for valuables like my iPhone, but the guide provided a locked container for everyone to store their belongings, so I didn't end up using it. It's best to bring only the essentials, but it's safe to have tips and a mobile phone with you.

There was a changing room by the beach, and I changed before heading back.

シュノーケリングは初めて非常に不安でしたが、ガイドのちえこさん、Danが親切で非常に安心感がありました。
全員救命胴衣を付けたままシュノーケリングするので、泳がなくても勝手に浮かんでいられるので体力的にも安心でした。

ウェットスーツがあると無難かもしれませんが、なくても問題なくできますし、気持ちがよかったです。当日の貸し出しは不可能でした。

貴重品はiphoneなどを入れる防水ケースを持っていきましたが、ガイドさん持参の鍵付きコンテナに全員しまわせてくれるので使いませんでした。
必要最低限にすべきですが、チップ代や携帯電話などは持参しても安心です。

更衣室も海辺にあり、着替えてから帰ってきました。

I borrowed a wetsuit ($10) to avoid sunburn and keep my body warm. I was able to swim without getting cold.

This was my second time snorkeling, and even though I'm not good at swimming, I was able to enjoy the tour thanks to Dan and Chieko, who paid careful attention to everyone. They also lent us rescue vests, which made it easy to float while swimming, so I highly recommend this tour for those who aren't very confident in their swimming skills. Additionally, I was thrilled to encounter a sea turtle. I think it would have been difficult to see one on my own. Dan also took photos during the tour with a high-performance camera, and he uploaded them on the same day after the tour, allowing us to download them for free. So, I recommend this tour even for those who don't have an underwater camera.

Very disappointing. We had to decide as soon as we got off the bus what time we wanted to be picked up - 10 AM or 12 noon. Had we known how long it would take us to actually get into the water, we would have chosen noon! We were picked up at 7 AM, got to the Bay about 7:45, had to stand in line to get tickets, wait our turn to see a required film (very good actually), and then walk about 10 minutes down to the Bay, and then stand in another line to get a locker for our bags. We did not get into the water until almost 8:45, more than an hour after we had been picked up. THEN, we find our that the snorkel/mask ensemble was so inflexible that we could not get it to work properly! The mouthpiece was too rigid, would not form a tight seal and kept pulling to one side, and my husband's snorkel actually kept coming unhooked from the mask! Had we known this, we would have bought our own equipment at the ABC store for $10 and actually been able to snorkel! As it was, we spent until 9:30 trying to get the equipment to fit, and then had to head back to the bus for the 10 AM pick-up. Had the connection between the mouthpiece and the snorkel tube been accordion-like and flexible, it would have been a lot better. If you plan to go on this trip, bring your own equipment and be prepared to not get into the water right away. The Bay is beautiful and the water was wonderful, but our experience with the inflexible pick up time and equipment was not wonderful!

The transparency of the water is different compared to other beaches. I didn't get to see any turtles, but they seem to be around often. The guide was great and took a lot of photos for us. It's a good plan since you can return to the hotel by lunchtime.

We went to Hawaii again as a couple during Silver Week. This time, I wanted to include snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, so I booked this tour. To be honest, I initially applied for the tour "Hanauma Bay with a Certified Veteran Guide," which had many reviews and experiences, but it was not available, so I chose this tour instead. Unfortunately, it rained from the morning. During snorkeling, there was heavy rain and waves, and the sand was stirred up, making it difficult to see the fish clearly. Moreover, the approximately one hour of snorkeling was cold, and I was shivering after getting back on land.

However, I can't go against nature, so I hope to try again on a sunny day next time. I have snorkeled at several places in Honolulu, but when it comes to seeing fish, it can't compare to Guam, Saipan, or Southeast Asia's Cebu and Phuket.

Nonetheless, I think the tour was very good because the guide explained everything earnestly and assisted us well. Another highlight was that we unexpectedly got to see a honu (sea turtle).

The hotel pick-up was smooth, and we felt reassured that the American husband spoke Japanese without any issues. The two women were snorkeling for the first time, but they were kindly taught and had no problems enjoying it at all! The masks and snorkels were also the latest models and very clean. It was a bit disappointing that we didn't get to see any turtles and that the time at Hanauma Bay felt a bit rushed.

During the main snorkeling activity, the experienced guides ensured that everyone in the group had a great time, and they especially stayed close to my mother-in-law, allowing her to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. Hanauma Bay was very beautiful! Dan and Chieko were friendly and easy to talk to, and they provided very thorough explanations for snorkeling! The equipment we borrowed was also clean, which made us feel safe. The fish were colorful and we could see them up close; although we didn't see any turtles, we did get to see a very large moray eel, which was fun! I didn't bring an underwater camera, but I was very happy to receive the photos Dan took from Facebook as a nice service! When I go to Hawaii again, I want to visit Hanauma Bay! I would love to join your tour again at that time! Thank you so much, Dan and Chieko!

It was a reassuring tour with guidance in Japanese.

We had a fun snorkeling experience with a British family, an Indian family, a Japanese family, and our couple.

Unfortunately, on that day, due to low tide, the turtles couldn't come into the bay, so we didn't get to see any sea turtles.

To be honest, my expectation was a bit too high, and I felt like saying, "Hmm, is this it...?"
As for the fish... well, I could see them, but just barely.

However, I am very satisfied to say, "I went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay in Hawaii!" (laughs)

This is something that depends on the tides and conditions.

It had quite an international atmosphere, but I enjoyed the tour with solid guidance in Japanese.

私は平気だったのですが、彼がシュノーケリングで乗り物酔いのような症状になったようです。
あと、すごくお天気は良かったのですが、思いの外水温が低く感じられて、すごく寒かったです。
行かれる方は対策をしていく事をお勧めします。

今度はご夫妻のダイビングツアーに是非参加したいです。

I participated in the morning course. The instructors are very attentive, so even beginners can feel at ease. I don't have much stamina, so I got tired early on, but thanks to our guide Dan, who helped me and encouraged me multiple times, I was able to stay with the other participants until the end. Hanauma Bay has a lot of fish swimming around, and you can see them up close. I was able to see three sea turtles, which was very moving. Since it had been a while since I swam, I was completely exhausted by the time I returned to the hotel, and I regret not being able to properly thank Dan. Very great tour, picked up on time, friendly conversation. This was my first time snorkeling, and Dan, our guide, was terrific. I and my 11 year old are non-swimmer and Dan was very patient and worked to insure we had a great experience. We actually went pretty far out and Dan was besides us and checking on us to make sure we were ok. He was prepared with good equipment, got us through the Haunauma Bay entry easily, and took us on a wonderful swim with loads of fish to see. I would do this snorkeling tour again.

This was our first time snorkeling - and it was amazing! Dan was our guide and was absolutely the BEST! A must-do while visiting the Islands.
