It was an amazing day, on a great tour, wonderful site! Somewhat relieved our stress and anxieties during this pandemic.

My kids have been anticipating getting out after a couple of lockdowns in Hawaii due to COVID-19. Saturday morning, while their Dad was off for work, we decided to visit Kualoa Ranch. After reading more of their implementation of COVID-19 safety protocol, we felt safe and confident to take one of their tours, so we decided to book their Movie Sites Tour. I also love the fact that HawaiiActivities.com never fails to provide most up-to-date information which is how we found this to be available on that same day.
Upon entering the premises at Kualoa Ranch, numerous signs were displayed to remind guests and staff about wearing their masks, washing hands/ hand sanitizing, and practice social distancing. At the entrance, they checked our temperature and collected our information (first & last name for each of my party members, an email address, and a phone number for contact tracing. Staff & employees, including our tour guide, were wearing face masks. They also installed Plexiglas in every counter (information desks, check-in, ticket desks).
When we got through the gift shop, and the restaurant, hand sanitizers & disinfecting spray/ wipes were also readily available in many areas. We felt safe.
With everything that has been happening around us, it was a wonderful feeling to be out and explore again. We enjoyed our visit, and the Movie Sites Tour was fun! My son (8-year-old) really loved it and have been asking to go back and do horseback riding. My teenagers said they learned a lot! The tour guide was funny and informative, made us laugh throughout the tour! He has great sense of humor; he even brought a dinosaur toy with him for our photo taking at Jurassic Park and I loved how the photo came out!
It was a great day! We were there as a family 10 years ago and we will visit again in the future.

Since my youngest child was 5 years old, we could only do this course, but I was more than satisfied. Next time, the kids said they want to try driving by themselves! If you’re a guy, you will probably have to swallow some ego here but it’s worth it. Ricki the instructor is amazing. We swam and then I popped the question overlooking diamond head. Great for all ages.

A tour located a short bus ride from Honolulu. The views of both the mountains and the ocean are great, and the guides' explanations are entertaining. It seems to be frequently used as a filming location, so if you love Hollywood movies, you'll especially enjoy this tour. However, even if you're not interested in that, the scenery is beautiful enough to enjoy. Just keep in mind that the jungle exploration might be a bit challenging for those who get motion sickness.

The staff were so cheerful and wonderful, and the view after parasailing was just amazing! I really shouldn't have been scared! It was too beautiful. I also found something wonderful!

I forgot the name of the staff member, but the charming guy took so many photos for me, so it became a really great memory! It might have been tourist prices, but it was such a fun experience that I bought an SD card!

I really recommend parasailing.

We participated as a family of four. My husband, who has a fear of heights, watched and took photos from the boat, while I flew with our 5-year-old and 9-year-old children. It was my first experience as well, but the kids were constantly excited. It was a bit cold up in the air, but there was a rainbow, and the scenery was amazing. The staff on the boat were also very entertaining. Even the next day and the day after that, and after we returned home, the kids keep saying they want to do it again!

They explain various things about the dolphin's body, but even if you don't understand English, there's no need to worry as they use body language to show you when it's okay to touch the dolphin!

During the tour, each person receives a photo with the dolphin as a gift! It was a wonderful keepsake!

The dolphin show afterward was also enjoyable, and I participated in the feeding experience, which required an additional fee.

I attended the show on March 19. My stay lasted 20 minutes. It was not held on the rooftop of the Hilton, but in a large hall inside the hotel. Given the impact of COVID-19, the governor of Hawaii has announced that gatherings should not be crowded, so I was shocked to see around 150 to 200 people packed together. I don't know if it was the organizer's decision or the hotel's, but I think it was a wrong judgment. Honestly, since it wasn't on the rooftop, I would like a refund, but I have given up on that possibility.

滞在時間は20分でした。
場所がヒルトンの屋上では無く。ホテル内の大きなホールでしました。
コロナの影響で密集したらダメとハワイの州知事も発表してるのにまさか150人〜200人ぐらいが密集してるのを見てゾッとしました。
主催側の判断なのかホテル側の判断かわかりませんが、間違った判断をしたなと思いました。
正直屋上じゃなかったのでお金を返してほしいですが、無理だろうなとあきらめています。

It took about 20 minutes by taxi from Hokulani Waikiki to get there, costing $35 with HANA Taxi. On the way back, it was also $35 to Ala Moana Shopping Center. Since we arrived too early, we sat on a bench and found free Wi-Fi. We flew with JAL this time, so the Rainbow Trolley didn't stop at the Bishop Museum, and I reserved a taxi for the return trip, but it would have been better not to. I participated in a beginner mountain biking course. It was a tour where we rode down the mountain on mountain bikes. First, we were driven to the starting point. After adjusting the sizes of the bikes and helmets, we had some time to practice, so it was fine even if it had been a while since I last rode a bike. The downhill ride was very refreshing as I felt the wind rushing past me. The course was from 12 to 3 PM, but since we stopped at various points to take photos and rest, the time flew by. I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the negative ions, which was a lot of fun, different from being at the beach. As a side note, due to the impact of COVID-19, the park where we were supposed to have lunch was closed, so we received water, sandwiches, and snacks and were taken back to the hotel about 30 minutes earlier than planned. I regret that I was so flustered that I forgot to give a tip. I would like to challenge myself with the intermediate and advanced courses next time, so I look forward to it.

マウンテンバイクの初級コースに参加しました。マウンテンバイクで山を下るツアー。まず車でスタート地点まで連れて行ってもらいます。バイクやヘルメットのサイズ調整をしたあと少し練習をする時間もあるので、自転車が久しぶりでも大丈夫でした。ダウンヒルは、風を切って走って行くのがとても爽快でした。12-15時のコースでしたが、要所要所では自転車を止めて撮影したり休憩もしつつだったのであっという間です。素晴らしい景色とマイナスイオンを感じられて、ビーチとはまた違ってとても楽しかったです。余談ですが、新型コロナの影響でランチを食べる予定だった公園が閉鎖されていたので、お水とサンドイッチ、スナックを貰って当初予定より30分ほど早くホテルに送迎してもらいました。バタバタしていてチップを渡し忘れてしまったことが悔やまれます。今度は中級・上級コースに挑戦したいと思うので、またよろしくお願いします。

About three years ago, I participated in this tour, and at that time, there were evening departures that felt like a sunset cruise, even if we didn't catch anything. The dock was close to Waikiki, and the captain and staff (his wife?) were efficient, so we didn't have to wait long before setting off. Our group was the only one with Japanese participants. Even though I hardly understood any English, I managed just fine.

We participated as a group of four, and three of us caught a fish called Kawahagi. It seemed like most others didn't catch anything. They provide fishing rods, but it looks like bringing your own is okay; an American boy brought his own rod. My son and I became good rivals, which added to the fun. My 10-year-old son caught three fish and was very pleased when the captain called him the "BEST FISHER." It seemed like his rival caught a bigger fish that wasn't a Kawahagi and was smiling happily.

４人で参加して３人はカワハギがつれました。ほかの方はほとんど釣れてないようでした。
釣り竿は貸してくれますが持ち込みOKのようで、アメリカ人の男の子はMY竿持参でした。息子とは好敵手となりそれもまた楽しめました。
１０歳の息子が３匹釣ってキャプテンから「BEST　FISHER」と言われご満悦でした。息子のライバル君はカワハギではない大きい魚を釣ったようでにこにこしていました。

釣った魚はサイズが小さいとリリース。大きいものはフレーバーソルトで味付けして焼いてくれましたが釣れなかった方たちは遠慮して食べてなかったみたいでした。
最近、催行日が減ったようで、やめないでほしいなと思い、かなり日が経ちましたが体験談を投稿しました。
今回、新型コロナがなければ、またこのオプショナルツアーに参加しようと思っていたのであきらめざる負えず残念な気持ちでいっぱいです。
次回、ハワイに行ったらまた参加します。

I participated in the 120m event. The staff was great, and it was really fun, especially getting splashed in the sea. I took motion sickness medication, so I was fine, but there were quite a few people around me who were feeling pretty seasick, so I recommend taking something to be in top shape to enjoy it fully.
