I participated with my sister. I was confident in my physical stamina, so I thought I would be fine, but it was quite tough. Depending on the wave conditions, I think there's a high chance of getting seasick (I took seasickness medication). Swimming with dolphins has always been a dream of ours, and we participated as a couple! Even on the bus heading to the ocean, our guide Minako shared fun stories, which helped us shake off the early morning sleepiness and get excited for the dolphin tour (^ ^).

Once we arrived at the ocean, it was time to board the boat! There was a restroom break after getting off the bus, so we could board the boat with peace of mind.

The crew on the boat was all local, truly Hawaiian ♡ They were cheerful and fun people ♩.

We received a briefing on snorkeling equipment and set sail while searching for dolphins!

When we spotted a pod of dolphins, everyone jumped into the water! During our first entry, we got to meet the dolphins!

To ensure everyone could see the dolphins up close, during the second entry, those who hadn’t seen them swam near the guide, and everyone was able to see the dolphins safely!

The boat ride to the site was smooth in the early morning with no waves, but on the way back, the waves picked up, and we got soaked, haha.

Also, the boat rocked quite a bit, and several people felt nauseous.

Motion sickness medication is a must.

The water is incredibly beautiful, far beyond what you can compare to in Waikiki, and it’s truly healing. The guides were all wonderful people, making this the best tour where we could genuinely enjoy ourselves.

Swimming with dolphins was the purpose of this trip. We participated in the tour despite feeling a bit sleepy from the early morning departure, but on the way, we had a great time listening to Julie, the staff member, who enthusiastically shared many stories about Hawaii and dolphins, making the ride to the port fly by.

Once on board, everyone enjoyed chatting together as the captain, Papa, led the ship out to sea. I was worried about whether we would see dolphins since a storm was approaching, but when we arrived at the dolphin spot, we encountered over 20 dolphins, which really boosted our excitement. After swimming to see the dolphins twice, we moved a bit and saw many small fish. After snorkeling, we enjoyed pork rice balls and snacks on the boat. The pork rice balls after snorkeling were incredibly delicious!

After that, we returned while dancing the hula. From start to finish, it was a very enjoyable and happy time. I definitely want to participate again the next time I come to Hawaii.

その後はフラダンスを踊りながらの帰航。初めから最後まで、全てがとても楽しい幸せな時間でした。次にハワイに来る時も、また是非参加したいと思います。

I participated in a dolphin school for the first time on my honeymoon. I thought 5:35 AM might be too early, but surprisingly, it wasn't difficult to wake up. I learned about the ecology of spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, orcas, and sharks, as well as the differences between mammals and fish, which made me appreciate dolphins even more.

Originally, we were supposed to see turtles as well, but it turned out that the day we participated was the peak day for big waves, so there were a lot of waves, and we couldn't find any dolphins in the first two hours. 最終的にはバンドウイルカもウォッチングできましたし、ハシナガイルカもシュノーケリングして3回も沢山見れました。
ただ、お水は絶対もってくださいね！
喉がとっても乾きますし、ジュースしかもらえませんでした。
イルカ中学はとても前向きにハイテンションで楽しめるアクティビティです。

I made a huge mistake during the reservation stage. I intended to book for the day before my return flight, and we excitedly gathered at the meeting place with six people. However, the guide told us, "Your reservation is for tomorrow!" Upon checking, it turned out that we had actually booked for the day of our return flight. Since we might not make it to our flight after participating in the tour tomorrow, I asked if there was anything that could be done, but unfortunately, both the middle school and university tours were fully booked, and cancellations would not be refundable if made less than 24 hours in advance. With six people, that was quite a hefty amount.

The guide said, "I'll contact the office and get back to you." So, we enjoyed a different schedule that day. In the afternoon, I was able to get in touch with the office. They kindly suggested that if we came to the meeting place to prepare for our return, they would load our luggage onto the bus and drop us off at a hotel just before the airport after the tour ended, as it would take too long to go back to Honolulu and then to the airport. From there, we could easily take a taxi to the airport, which was a wonderful proposal.

It was a last-minute solution, but thanks to this, it turned into an unforgettable and amazing tour. I appreciate the office's response. Also, the guide Jerry's sense of humor and looks during the bus ride to the port were fantastic. The hour-long journey was so enjoyable that it felt like we were at the main event.

午後になり事務所の方と連絡が取れました。
なんと帰国の準備をして集合場所に来て頂ければトランクなどバスに積み込みツアー終了次第、ホノルルまで戻ってからでは空港まで移動するのでは時間がかかりすぎるので空港手前のホテルに降ろしてくれる。
そこからタクシーで空港まで向えば十分間に合うでしょうとの嬉しいご提案。
土壇場でギリギリの遂行でしたが、おかげさまで思い出に残るサイコーのツアーになりました。
事務局様のご対応に感謝致します。
また、港までの向かうバスの中でのガイドのジェリーさんのトークセンスとルックスもサイコー。
約1時間の移動中楽しすぎてどっちがメインイベントだろうと言う感じ。

I participated in the tour on Sunday, September 23rd at 11:00 with my girlfriend. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any dolphins, which made for a very disappointing tour.

Shortly after departure, we spotted several sea turtles surfacing, which was a great start. However, the weather soon took a turn for the worse. Even after two hours, we still hadn't found any dolphins, and the captain took the boat further out, but the winds were very strong that day, and the sea was quite rough. The boat began to sway violently, causing some people to hit their knees and bleed, while others suffered from seasickness, creating chaos on board.

We did snorkel at one spot, where we saw sea turtles, but due to the rough sea, the visibility wasn't impressive, and there weren't many fish, so it was somewhat underwhelming.

As for the timing, I wouldn't recommend starting at 11:00. After the 9:00 pickup, we returned to Waikiki around 17:00. This timing makes it difficult to schedule other activities, so an earlier start is advisable.

In summary, I fully understand that dolphins are wild animals and not guaranteed to be seen, but it was still a disappointing outcome, so I have to give it one star. I heard that if you don't see dolphins, you can participate again for free at any time in the future, so I would like to try again when I visit Hawaii.

9月23日(日)11:00～のツアーに彼女と２人で参加しました。結果的にイルカとは会えず非常に残念なツアーとなってしまいました。

出航後間もなくすると海面に顔を出すウミガメを何匹も見かけ、上々のスタートでした。ただしばらくすると雲行きが怪しくなってきました。
2時間経過してもなおイルカは見つからず、船長さんが沖の方まで船を出しますが、当日は風が非常に強く海は大荒れ。
船体が上下に大きく揺れ始め、膝を打って血を流す方や船酔いに襲われる方が続出し船内はまさに阿鼻叫喚。

スノーケリングだけ途中1箇所でしました。ウミガメはいましたが、海が荒れたせいか透明度も感動する程ではなく、さほど魚も多くなかったためいまいちでした。

時間の使い方としても11時スタートはお勧めできません。9時過ぎピックアップ後、ワイキキに戻ってきたのが17:00過ぎ。他の予定が入れられなくなるため、朝早い時間をお勧めします。

総評として、イルカが野生の生き物であり必ず会える訳ではないと重々承知しておりましたが、やはり残念な結果となってしまったため星１とさせて頂きます。
イルカが見られなかった場合、期間無制限で再度無料で参加できるそうなので、またハワイを訪れた際にチャレンジしたいと思います。

One of the things on my bucket list was to swim with dolphins, and I made it happen. The weather was refreshing, the waves were calm, and the sea was very clear, making it the perfect day for the tour. The staff were bright and cheerful, which made for a fun experience throughout. I got to see a large group of dolphins and even met a sea turtle; it was truly an amazing time. Waking up early is tough, but I was a bit jet-lagged anyway, and I could sleep on the bus during the ride, so it wasn't too hard. We returned by early afternoon, allowing us to spend the rest of the day meaningfully. One thing to note is that if you are prone to motion sickness, it might be a good idea to take some medication, as there seemed to be a difference between those who did and didn't.

The meeting time was early in the morning, and from there we traveled over an hour by bus to the west side of Oahu, which was our destination. イルカが見つかった時は感動と共にアドレナリンが出て、たくさん泳いでしまいますね。

イルカにかなりの時間を費やしたのでウミガメ探しはなくなりましたがそれはそれでよかったかなと個人的には思います。
クルーたちは何かと楽しませようとしているので、終始楽しめます。
帰港途中で船の上でみんなでフラダンスをして楽しく終わりました。

ハワイの大自然を満喫できるツアーでもあるので、陸から離れた視点でハワイを感じたい方にもオススメです。

Although my daughter has some experience with snorkeling in the ocean, I was a bit worried about her safety since it was explained that she would need to swim at the same pace as the other participants. However, Aino had thoughtfully arranged for another staff member to support my daughter in advance, allowing us to enjoy the experience without any concerns. My daughter was thrilled to swim alongside the kind Hao, which she considered a precious experience.

Moreover, we were lucky to swim closely with many dolphins and mother-and-baby dolphins for a long time, which was amazing!

As a parent, safety was my biggest concern, but the Japanese staff provided thorough explanations on how to wear the equipment, and they consistently communicated with us to ensure we stayed together as a group while in the water. 娘は海でのシュノーケリングは何度か経験しているものの、イルカと泳ぐためには他の参加者と一緒のペースで泳ぐとの説明だったので、私だけでサポートできるのか安全面で少々不安でした。
ですが、ガイドのAinoさんが気をきかせてあらかじめ別のスタッフさんに娘のフォローを依頼しており、全く不安なく楽しめました。
娘も優しいHaoさんと一緒にバタ足して泳げたことが貴重な体験でとても嬉しかったようでした。

しかもラッキーなことに、長い時間たくさんのイルカの群れや親子イルカと近くで一緒に泳ぐことができ最高でした！

親子連れなので安全面が一番気になるところでしたが、日本人スタッフから用具の装着説明も丁寧にあり、海に入っている間も終始グループで一緒にいるように声掛けがあり、安全面でもコミュニケーション面でも全く不安なく参加できました。

This was the best tour of my Hawaii trip, without a doubt! We saw so many dolphins, even more than I imagined, and they even spun for us! We also saw a mother and baby sea turtle! I was truly moved because I never expected to see so many dolphins.

The guide, Julie, and the local people were so warm and welcoming; I felt really grateful to have participated in this tour! I was a bit nervous after reading reviews that mentioned the bus ride was filled with chatter, but it was not uncomfortable at all. Instead, we heard fascinating stories about the dolphins, Hawaii's history, and more—it was a super enjoyable hour that flew by!

It was amazing to see dolphins so easily. Everyone seemed to be experienced with snorkeling, but it might be tough for first-timers. The beautiful scenery on the way to and from the site was also very enjoyable, so I highly recommend it. However, considering the travel time, the time spent snorkeling was a bit short, and there were many people, so I had to be mindful of others while swimming, which is why I’m giving it one star less.

We participated as a family of five: two adults and three children in 6th, 4th, and 1st grades. We had no experience with snorkeling, and only our eldest son had taken swimming lessons, so we were anxious about whether we could swim in the ocean. However, our entire family was determined to meet wild dolphins, which is why we signed up for this tour.

We were picked up at 5:30 AM, and our youngest child was half asleep as the tour began. After a brief explanation of how to use the snorkeling equipment on the bus, it was time to put it into practice.

Once the boat set off and the prayer ceremony was over, we encountered dolphins right away. We hurriedly put on our fins and dove into the water without even checking if they were on correctly! To be honest, I was a bit scared (laughs).

From then on, whenever we spotted dolphins, we would dive in! Fortunately, we encountered dolphins multiple times and even got to swim alongside some. As we chased after the dolphins, sea turtles, and fish that kept appearing, I realized that my fear had disappeared. However, our youngest child struggled to use the equipment properly and couldn't hold their breath underwater, so they couldn't dive. Still, thanks to the instructor's assistance, they managed to jump in and keep up. In the end, they were thrilled to see dolphins swimming close to the surface.

　それからとにかくイルカを見つけたらダイブ！！幸運にも何度もイルカに出会い、船と一緒に泳いでくれるイルカにも会うことができました。次々と姿を見せてくれるイルカやカメ大教授、魚たちを夢中で追いかけているうちに、気付けば怖さもなくなっていました。ただ1年生の末っ子だけは道具がうまく使いこなせず、息継ぎができなかったため水中に潜る事はできませんでしたが、それでもインストラクターの方の補助のおかげもあり、必死で飛び込んで付いてこれましたよ。結果、水面で泳ぐイルカを近くで見れたと喜んでいました。
　想像よりもかなりハードで、学級委員のジュリさんが宣言した通り体育会系のツアーでした。帰りのバスも、ホテルに帰ってからも家族全員で爆睡(笑)
　しかし、イルカに会いたい一心で頑張ったこともあり、家族全員の最高の思い出になりました。「シタ、ミテー！！」「オキノホウー！！」は今も我が家での流行語です！子どもたちは愉快なお兄さんのことがとても好きになったようでした。
　シュノーケリング以外にも、子どもたちは飛び込み大会をして盛り上がっていました。うちの末っ子は土壇場でビビってましたが（笑）

　最後に、学級委員のジュリさんは本当に素敵でした。イルカや自然に対する尊敬の姿勢、感謝の心、聞いていてちょっと涙が出てしまいました。このツアーに参加して、色んなことを学び、単なるイルカと泳ぐツアーではなくとても奥が深い経験になったなと感じています。
　また船に乗っていた他の方もとてもフレンドリーで、優しく、楽しい方々ばかりでした。こんな中学校なら子供も喜んで通うでしょうね！
　今回は自分たちで写真撮影はできないとわかっていたのでカメラは持参しませんでした。そのため写真を購入しましたが、すぐにメールにてデータを送っていただき帰国前に家族で楽しむことができました。

The shuttle service was well-organized, with assigned seating despite the large number of participants, and the explanations and stories on the way were very enjoyable. We saw a pod of about 30 dolphins, including around 3 baby dolphins that swam right beneath me! The water was crystal clear, and even though it was deep, I didn't feel scared at all; the white sandy bottom was actually beautiful. We also went to a spot where we swam with 4 sea turtles. I heard that seals were seen on the first trip, so I hope to encounter them next time I participate. The crew on the boat was also very fun, and I would love to join again! ☺︎

まずは、ボートで数分走って、サンドバーを散歩しながら説明を聞いたり写真撮影などをします。
プライベートなので、人の少ない所に連れて行ってもらえるため、写真撮影では他の人が映らない景色をたくさん撮影することができました。そのあと、サンドバーの近くにあるシュノーケリングスポット(ちょうど水深が深くなるところ)に移動して、希望者はシュノーケルをしました。大きな魚がたくさんいました。
お腹がすいてきたので、船上でランチです。同じツアー会社の大人数を乗せる船も催行しており、そこで焼いたカルビやソーセージも頂き、最後は、ウォーターアクティビティーを楽しみました。３時間は長すぎるかと思いきやあっという間に楽しい時間が過ぎ去ってしまいましたが、非常によい思い出になりました。

昼食用のごはんや飲み物は、とっても美味しく満足のいく量があります。お酒を3缶持っていき、氷がたくさん入ったアイスボックスで冷やしてもらいもらえました。
シュノーケルセットは、透明度が高く海の中がくっきり見え、視力が弱くても海の中ではきれいに見えます。

6人いるなら絶対にプライベートボートがおすすめです。
さわやかで優しい日本人女性ガイドさんと、若々しく機転を利かせながらもてなしてくれるキャプテンの２名が、きめ細やかな対応をしてくださいました。写真もたくさん撮影してくださるし、子供のわがままにも応えてくれ(早く次に行きたい、あれがやりたいなど)ました。シュノーケルする前に、シュノーケリングの基本を教えてくださり、ガイドさんは常にライフセーバー用の浮き棒をもってシュノーケルのところまで一緒に来てくださるので、いつでも安心です。本当にどうもありがとうございました！

The guide mentioned that it was quite a lucky day, as we quickly discovered a pod of dolphins after we started searching. We encountered dolphins jumping out of the water and several times came across a group of dolphins, seeing about 60 of them (according to the guide)! My family was also deeply moved, making it the best experience. After that, we enjoyed snorkeling surrounded by large sea turtles and fish, feeling like we were in an aquarium. We ended with a hula dance and a group photo.

The guide was a woman named Julie, and she was fantastic. She was very funny, upbeat, and kept us laughing from the explanations in the car to the guidance on the boat. Her strong love for the ocean and dolphins was evident, making her an excellent guide. I think it would be lucky to have Julie as your guide.

One thing to take note of is that, as Julie mentioned herself, this dolphin experience is quite athletic and rigorous. It felt like, "Wait, are we jumping in already?" and the kids were a bit scared, but once we jumped in, everything turned out fine. In the end, we were all super moved, so the rigorous approach ended up being a good thing.

Overall, encountering the dolphins and having the best guide made for an incredibly fortunate tour. I highly recommend it.

一点Take Noteしたいのは、ジュリさんも自分で言っていましたが、このイルカ中学、結構体育会系でスパルタです。「え？これでもう飛び込んじゃうの？」という感じで、子供たちもビビッていましたが、いざ飛び込んだら何とかなるもの。結局超感動していたので、このスパルタも結果的には良かったです。
というわけで、イルカとの遭遇も、最高のガイドさんも、恵まれた最高のツアーでした。強くお勧めです。

I also think it's a good idea to bring a bath towel (it gets cold after you take off the wetsuit).
You'll be swaying on the sea for about three hours, so motion sickness medication is a must. I want to participate in this tour again after somehow overcoming seasickness.

とてもかわいくて元気いっぱいで彼女のおかげで楽しいツアーでした！
寝不足、時差ボケ、船に弱い私は嫌な予感がしていたものの酔い止めで乗り切ろうと思っていました。
船はそこまで揺れなかったですが、海に入ってしばらくしたら波酔いしてしまいました。
でもイルカがたくさん見えて、赤ちゃんイルカも見えて、写真を撮るのに夢中で気持ち悪くなっていたことも忘れました。
ウミガメのポイントへ移動するため船に戻ると、酔っていたことを思い出しました。笑
ウミガメもすっごく近くで泳いでくれて、たくさんいて、感動しました。
帰りの船は完全ダウンでずっと寝てしまいましたが、とてもいいツアーだったと思います！
本当にクルーの方がみんないい人。
最高でした。

寒いのでウエットスーツは絶対に借りたほうがいいです。（私たちのクラスは全員借りてました）
あとバスタオルも持参したほうがいいと思います。（ウエットスーツ脱いだあと寒いので）
約3時間海の上で揺られることになるので、酔い止めは必須。どうにか船酔いを克服してまた参加したいツアーです。笑
あとツアー後にすぐ集合写真をメールで頂けたのも嬉しかったです(^^)

I participated with my 5-year-old son. He seemed nervous with the unfamiliar life jacket and snorkel, but the class representative, Julie, kindly supported him, and we were able to see dolphins up close. Unfortunately, we could only see sea turtles from the boat because my child gets cold easily, but we spotted about four of them. The spam musubi for a light snack was also delicious. The other participants and the staff were very friendly, and the final hula was a lot of fun. I definitely want to participate again once my son can swim better! 慣れないライフジャケットとシュノーケルに緊張した様子でしたが学級委員ジュリさんが優しくフォローしてくれてイルカを目の前で見る事が出来ました。
海ガメは残念ながら子供が寒がり船の上からとなりましたが4匹近くで見られました。
軽食のスパムむすびも美味しかったです。
一緒に参加された方、スタッフの方々もノリが良く最後のフラもとても楽しかったです。
また息子がもっと泳げるようになったら絶対参加したいです！
