We took a bus for about an hour from the Royal Hawaiian Center to board the boat.
We went out on the boat to search for dolphins. I ended up getting seasick during that time.
Along the way, we were able to see whales and sea turtles.
Finally, we entered the sea and swam with the dolphins. I was able to see the dolphins swimming right below me while snorkeling!
The crew was also eager for us to see them, and I was happy about their efforts.
On the way back, they served us spam onigiri, warm tea, and pineapple, and we even danced together.
I heard that in a few years, swimming with wild dolphins will no longer be allowed, so it was a precious experience.

ロイヤルハワイアンセンターから1時間くらいバスにのってボートに乗り込みました。

I came to Hawaii on my honeymoon with my beloved husband. There was something I wanted to do when I came to Hawaii: meet dolphins! The dolphin school was so much fun from start to finish. I was able to see wild sea turtles up close, and I also saw a mother and baby whale, but what made me the happiest was swimming with a large group of dolphins!!

I was moved by seeing the dolphins rubbing their bellies together and their courtship behavior live, and how many dolphins came right up to me, as well as their sounds. Everything was so touching.

When I felt the waves rolling on the west coast view from the sea in Hawaii, I kept thinking, "Hawaii is the best!!!" I was really relieved that our guide, Julie, spoke Japanese. During the bus ride, we enjoyed talking about famous spots in Hawaii and the characteristics of marine animals, including dolphins, without getting bored. The explanations for snorkeling were also easy to understand and reassuring.

The photos of the dolphins and us taken by Mike were really beautiful, and I keep looking back at them, remembering the sea of Hawaii. I had the best honeymoon of my life.

I am grateful to the dolphin school! If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would love to enroll in the dolphin school once more♪

ガイドのジュリーさんが日本語通じる方で凄く安心しました。行きのバスの中ではハワイの有名なスポットや、イルカを含む海の動物たちの特徴など、話は飽きることなく移動中も楽しめました。シュノーケリングをするにあたっての説明なども、わかりやすく安心しました。
マイクさんの撮って頂いたイルカや私たちの写真も凄くキレイで、何度も見返してはハワイの海を思い出します。人生で最高のハネムーンを過ごすことが出来ました
イルカ中学校には感謝しています！次回またハワイに行く機会があれば、イルカ中学校にもう一度入学したいです♪

We woke up early and participated as a family. My 7-year-old son and my wife were moved to see dolphins for the first time. It was my son's first time in the deep sea, and since I was a beginner with a life jacket, I was very grateful for the assistance of the instructor who stayed by my side. Thank you very much.

It was cold when we entered the sea, so it was a good decision to rent a wetsuit, which was available for a fee. The spam onigiri during the first break was delicious. I would like to participate again if I have the opportunity to go to Hawaii.

I participated with great expectations, having gone to bed early the night before and being fully prepared, knowing that I could go snorkeling while watching wild dolphins. We boarded the dolphin-numbered bus and traveled for about an hour to the port, where the guide was very entertaining. Listening to their stories made the time fly, and we arrived at the port in no time. It was mentioned in advance on the bus, but I think wearing a wetsuit is essential. Everyone in the group was wearing one. Once we entered the water and returned to the boat, it was quite cold even with the wetsuit on. There were several sizes of wetsuits available, and they asked for our preferences in advance, so it fit perfectly.

Upon arriving at the port, I first went to the restroom, then put on my wetsuit and boarded the boat. Once we were out at sea, we were able to see a seal first. There was just one, but it was very cute. Then, we finally reached the dolphin point. I was deeply moved to see a pod of dolphins right in front of me. There were probably around 100 of them, surrounding us on all sides. Among the dolphins, there were also baby dolphins.

That wasn't all. We moved to another point and were able to see sea turtles as well. On the way back to the port after snorkeling, the spam onigiri served on the boat was very delicious. I wanted to eat another one. The guide had said in advance, "Dolphin school is strict, so make sure to keep up," but it was not like that at all; the atmosphere was enjoyable throughout, and I had a valuable experience that became the highlight of my trip to Hawaii.

海に出てから、最初にアザラシを見ることができました。一頭でしたがとてもかわいかったです。そして、いよいよイルカポイントです。イルカの群れを目の前で見ることができとても感動しました。たぶん、100頭はいたと思います。前後左右イルカだらけです。イルカの群れの中には赤ちゃんイルカもいました。
それだけではありません。別のポイントに移動しウミガメも見ることができました。
シュノーケリングが終了し港に戻る途中、ボートで出されたスパムおにぎりはとてもおいしかったです。もう一つ食べたかった。
事前にガイドさんが「イルカ中学はスパルタなのでちゃんとついて来てね」と言ってましたが、特にそんなこともなく終始楽しい雰囲気で貴重な経験ができ大満足で今回のハワイ旅行の一番の思い出になりました。

We had an amazing time on our Dolphin tour. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Loved that it was a small group, and we were able to swim with the Spinner Dolphins and Sea turtles. Also lucky enough to see Bottle Nose Dolphins and Humpback whales too. Only downside was getting a bit sea sick. The staff looked after my phone while I fed the fish and took a great selfie

Watching the dolphins move, I participated without any expectations and was pleasantly surprised to see them swimming slowly. Moreover, since it was in shallow waters, I felt very lucky.

At the turtle spot, the turtles were hiding among the rocks on the sea floor, and I regretted not taking off my wetsuit to get in. For those who can dive deeper, I recommend wearing a rash guard or similar for warmth and definitely taking off the wetsuit.

This is my second time participating in a tour where you can see dolphins up close! I was thrilled to see the dolphins swimming nearby again. The spam onigiri and cheese for lunch were delicious as well. If you are prone to seasickness, taking motion sickness medication is a must.

It was amazing to see these incredible creatures in their natural environment. I almost can't describe the feeling I felt when we were swimming above them.

The crew was amazing, educated, patient, and most of all incredibly organized they were and genuinely cared about the animals safety and well being. We were observers, not there to disrupt these amazing creatures.

This is one of the classiest tours I have been on and believe me I have been on a lot not only in our country but several others. You need to experience this tour!

I was able to swim with a large pod of dolphins! A sea turtle even came very close, which was a bit scary!

The staff worked really hard to find the dolphins, and I'm truly glad I participated!

I joined at the beginning of October, and I recommend borrowing a wetsuit. I borrowed one, so I wore a rash guard and shorts over my swimsuit on the way there and back. If you don't borrow one and go in with just a rash guard, you'll need to bring a change of clothes because the bus ride back can be cold ( •́ㅿ•̀ ). Also, if you get seasick, taking motion sickness medication is a must!

I definitely want to participate again when I visit Hawaii!

The dolphin excursion was amazing. We learned so much about dolphins and enjoyed snorkeling with them. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They even have a photographer taking pictures. This is a must do activity and me and my children can't wait to go back and do it again.

I joined because I heard I could meet wild dolphins! On the day of the event, while waiting at the designated spot, a bus with a dolphin illustration arrived, and I thought, "This is it!" As I was taking a photo, it turned out to be the Dolphin University bus, and a lady called out to us, "Dolphin Middle School is over here! We're middle schoolers!" (laughs)

That lady talked enthusiastically about Hawaii, dolphins, and important notes for meeting dolphins while we were on the bus! Listening to her talk about dolphins made me feel her love for them, and I was really glad she was our guide (*^^*).

When we arrived at the port, we checked the size of our fins and changed into wetsuits. It costs $10, so I didn't want to force anyone, but they said the seawater is colder than you think, and it would be sad if we couldn't enjoy it because of the cold... So I borrowed one, and I was glad I did! Before getting wet, it was almost too warm, but once we were in the water and during the boat ride, the strong wind would have made it really cold without the wetsuit.

Finally, we set off! I was worried about not seeing any dolphins since they are wild, but we spotted them sooner than expected! It took about 20 minutes, I think. Diving into the sea while recalling what I learned on the bus, I initially felt anxious about snorkeling, but once I put my face in the water, my worries disappeared!

A pod of dolphins was swimming right below me, and they were everywhere, so I was desperately trying to follow them! Even when I thought they had swum away, they would come back from behind, and I was so moved to see so many of them...!

We moved to another spot where there were turtles and tropical fish. I was surprised to see a super huge turtle swimming right nearby!! Behind it were a medium-sized turtle and a tiny turtle! I learned that dolphins are the teachers and turtles are the professors, so my friend and I got excited, saying, "Look, a big professor!" (laughs)

A small turtle came up close enough to touch, and we could see it really up close! It was actually hard not to touch it (laughs). After seeing the turtles, I thought we were done, but when we returned to the boat, the captain called out, "One more time, dolphins!" and took us back to where the dolphins were!

I could feel the captain's desire to let us enjoy as much as possible, and I was really glad I signed up for this tour! (*^^*) The last dolphins were truly abundant, jumping around the boat even before we got in the water! Once we were in, I saw dolphins swimming right below me, and then there were more in front of me, circling around for a long time. It was truly moving! My friend even got to see a dolphin come up right next to her for a breath!

I remembered the lady on the bus saying, "Dolphins communicate with ultrasound, so they can understand our feelings, and miraculous things can really happen! So talk to them a lot and enjoy!" (*^^*)

When we returned to the boat, we were given warm tea and light snacks, including cheese, granola, and spam rice balls! The spam rice balls were so delicious after all that swimming! We also had sweet pineapple for dessert, which was really tasty!

I had such a fulfilling time (*^^*). When we returned to the bus, there was an announcement about purchasing photos. If you buy the data, a URL is sent via email, and you can download it within a month. If you want a USB, you have to go to the office to pick it up, so I think the data option is more convenient! There were many photos that I couldn't have taken myself, so I was glad I purchased them too!

The only disappointing thing was that the lady who talked to us on the way there was replaced by someone else when we departed. 当日、指定の場所で待っているとイルカのイラストが書いてあるバスが来たので、あっこれだ！と思い写真を撮っているとイルカ大学のバスだったようで、「イルカ中学はこっちこっち！うちらは中坊だから！」とお姉さんに呼ばれました(笑)
そのお姉さんはバスの中でもハワイのことからイルカのこと、イルカ会うための注意事項などなど、元気いっぱいにたっくさん話してくれました！イルカについて話を聞いているとお姉さんのイルカ愛が伝わってきて、このお姉さんが担当で良かったなと思いました(*^^*)
港についてフィンのサイズを確認し、ウェットスーツに着替えました。＄10かかるので強制はしたくないんですが、海水は思ってる以上に冷たいから、着た方がいいよ、寒さのせいで楽しめなかったら悲しいから…と言われ、確かにそうだなと思い借りました。結果借りてよかったです！濡れる前は逆に暑いくらいでしたが、濡れてからは海の中ではもちろん、ボートで移動中すごい風を浴びるので着てなければ寒かったと思います。
いよいよ出発！野生のイルカなので会えなかったらどうしよう……と不安もありましたが、予想以上に早くイルカを発見！20分かかったかな？
バスの中で教えてもらったことを思い出しながら海にダイブ！最初はシュノーケルうまくできるかな？と不安でしたが、海に顔をつけたら不安なくなりました！
真下をイルカの群れが泳いでて、あちこちにいるので追うのに必死でした！でも行っちゃった～と思ってもまた後ろから泳いできてくれたり、たくさん見れて感動……！
場所移動して今度はカメや熱帯魚がいるスポットへ。
超～～でっかいカメがすぐそこを泳いでてびっくり！！その後ろに中くらいのカメとちっちゃいカメもいました！
イルカが先生でカメは教授って教わってたので、友人と大教授だー！と盛り上がりました(笑)
小さい子が触れそうなくらい海面まで上がってきてホントに間近で見れました！むしろ触らないようにするのが大変なくらい(笑)
カメも見たしもう終わりかな～と思いながらボートに戻ると、船長さんが「もう一回、イルカ！」と声をかけてくれてまたイルカのいるところへ連れていってくれました！
時間が許す限り楽しませようという気持ちが伝わってきて、このツアーに申し込んでホントに良かったなと思いました！(*^^*)
最後のイルカはもうホントにたくさんいて、海に入る前からボートの周りをたくさんジャンプして姿を見せてくれました！海に入っても、真下泳いでたと思ったら前にもいるし、真下でぐるぐる回って長い間イルカたちがそばにいてくれて、本当に感動しました！友人はすぐ真横にイルカが上がってきて息継ぎ？するところも見れたそうです！
バスでお姉さんが「イルカは超音波で会話するから、私たちの気持ちも分かってくれるし奇跡みたいなことも本当に起こるから！たくさん話しかけて楽しんで♪」って言ってたのを思い出しました(*^^*)
ボートに戻ると暖かいお茶と軽食をいただきました。チーズとグラノーラとスパムおにぎりも！たくさん泳いだ後のスパムおにぎりとっても美味しかった！デザートにパイナップルもいただきましたが、これが甘くてこれまた美味しかったです！
とっても充実した時間を過ごせました(*^^*)
バスに戻って写真の購入の案内がありました。
データで購入する場合はURLがメールで送られてきて１ヶ月以内にダウンロードする感じでした。USBだと事務所？まで取りに行かないといけないのでデータが便利だと思います！自分では撮れないような写真がたくさんだったので、これも購入してよかったです♪
ひとつだけ残念だったことは、行きのバスの中で話してくれたお姉さんが、何かあったのか出発するときに違う方に代わったことです。もちろん他の方もとても良い方でしたが、最後にお礼を言えなかったことと一緒に写真が撮れなかったことが心残りでした。
お名前ジュリさんって方だったと思います。とても元気でイルカ愛に溢れてて、イルカの豆知識やどうしたらイルカが怖がらないかなどたくさん教えてくれました。フィンはゆっくり大きく水面は蹴らないようになどなど、本当にためになりました！
直接お礼を言えなかったのでこちらで失礼します。
今度参加する機会があればぜひジュリさんと一緒に泳ぎたいです(*^^*)

This was my first time snorkeling, but after seeing the experiences and photos here, I wanted to swim with dolphins and sea turtles, so I decided to participate.

After 6 AM, I got on the shuttle bus to leave Waikiki, feeling a bit dazed due to my low blood pressure and my struggle with mornings. There were about 20 participants, ranging from energetic seniors, mainly young couples, to small children. During the ride to the West Coast, where we could see dolphins, we had a fun lesson about dolphins, learning about their ecology and safety tips in the water.

Upon arrival at the spot, those who wanted to could rent a wetsuit for $10. Almost everyone, both men and women, rented one that day. Given the temperature and water temperature in mid-September, I don't think it would feel particularly cold without one, but wearing it can provide peace of mind for those who are unsure about swimming since it helps you float in the water.

Once we boarded the motorized rubber boat, the guide assigned us seating positions to balance the weight evenly. After that, we put on our fins and masks to check the sizes, and once we were ready, off we went!!

In just about 15 minutes of running, we arrived right next to a pod of dolphins! (It seemed we were quite lucky that day, as there are days when you might not encounter them for about an hour.) Next, we moved to a point where we could see sea turtles and beautiful fish. After taking off our life jackets and diving into the water, I was surrounded by colorful fish in shades of yellow and light blue, swirling around me like a treasure chest, which felt incredibly luxurious. I could only see the sea turtles from the boat, but the underwater world I experienced for the first time was amazing.

Lastly, regarding photos, you can purchase those taken by the accompanying photographer for $50. It includes not only shots of the participants and underwater scenes but also a collection of past best shots featuring the adorable dolphins and sea turtles. Although it’s a bit pricey, you’re guaranteed to get better photos than if you took them yourself.

The cheerful staff provided detailed support, making it a tour that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, so I highly recommend it.

朝６時過ぎ、低血圧でとにかく朝が苦手なのでボーっとしながら迎えのバスに乗り込みワイキキを出発。参加者は20名程度でしたが、若いご夫婦を中心に元気いっぱいのシニアの方々から小さなお子さんまで様々でした。
イルカが見られるウエストコーストへ向かう車内ではイルカに関する授業が行われ、イルカの生態や海の中での注意事項まで楽しく学べます。

ポイントへ到着すると、希望者は10＄でウエットスーツを借りられます。この日は男女共ほぼ全員が借りていました。９月中旬のこの日の気温・水温では、なくても特別寒さは感じないと思いますが、着ると水中で体が勝手に浮くので泳ぎが不安な方は着ておくと安心でしょう。

エンジン付きのゴムボートに乗り込むと、ガイドさんによりボートの上で体重が均等になるよう座る位置を振り分けられます。その後、フィンやマスクを装着してサイズを確認し、準備が整ったらいざ出発！！

そして走ることわずか15分ほどでイルカの群れがいるすぐそばまで到着！（この日はかなりラッキーだったようで、1時間ぐらい出会えない日もあるとのこと）
まずイルカと対面する前に一度全員で海に入り、泳ぎの練習を行います。
そこから再度ボートで群れに近づき、水面をじっと見守ります。
黒い背びれが見えたらついに念願のイルカ発見！！
イルカと同じ目線で泳げることを期待していましたが、ライフジャケットとウエットスーツで身体が浮いてしまうので、実際は群れになって泳ぐイルカたちを上から見下ろすような格好になります。それでも、小さな赤ちゃんイルカが目の前でくるんとジャンプする瞬間が見れ、その可愛さにキュンとしました☆

そこから今度はウミガメやきれいな魚たちが見られるポイントへ移動。
ライフジャケットを脱いで水の中へ潜ると、黄色や淡いブルーなど色とりどりの魚たちが自分の周りをグルグルと行き交ってる様子がまるで宝石箱のようで最高に贅沢な気分でした☆☆
肝心のウミガメはボートの上からしか見られませんでしたが、初めて見る海の中の世界は素晴らしいものでした。

最後に写真についてですが、同行するカメラマンが取ってくれたものを50＄で購入することが出来ます。参加メンバーや水中の様子はもちろん、イルカやウミガメのかわいい姿が見られる
過去のベストショット集までついているので、値は張りますが自分で撮るより確実にいい写真が
手に入ります。

明るいスタッフの方々がきめ細かくサポートしてくださり、大人から子供まで幅広く楽しめるツアーですので、ぜひおすすめします。

Guide Takao, photographer Maeda, and Captain Mr. Don were all very friendly, making for a fun experience. During the car rides and while on the boat, they taught us various things about dolphins and the local area, which was easy to understand. They even prepared warm tea, fruits, and rice balls, which was truly attentive service. The wetsuits are available for rent for a fee, but I recommend borrowing one.

I came to Hawaii for my wife's birthday and participated in this tour.

I felt very relieved because the staff were Japanese. Additionally, there were about ten participants, all travelers from Japan, so we felt very comfortable since we are not good at English.

On the way to our destination, a Japanese female staff member carefully explained the tour's precautions and the attractions of dolphins and sea turtles. She talked non-stop, almost like a bullet (laughs). It takes about an hour to get there, but since she kept talking the whole time, even though it was early in the morning, we didn't have a chance to sleep.

I heard that dolphins can only be found on the west coast of Hawaii. So, they mentioned that you can't see them unless you go to a beach a bit away from Waikiki.

As we were swaying on the bus and listening to her talk, we quickly arrived at the west coast. It felt more like a port than a sandy beach, so at that point, I thought it didn't look that different from other seas.

After using the restroom, we boarded the boat and set sail with several cheerful foreign staff members!!

From there, we headed further north along the west coast. The wind felt nice, and the waves were calm, so I was relieved that I didn't get seasick.

After about 30 minutes on the boat, we finally received information that dolphins were swimming nearby. If you're lucky, you might encounter dolphins in just five minutes, but if you're unlucky, you could drift at sea for about an hour and a half, so I thought we were fortunate this time.

Suddenly, the atmosphere on the boat became hectic, and we jumped into the sea right away.

While we were swimming together, the dolphins quickly swam by us. It seemed that there was a pod of about 50 dolphins swimming a bit apart, and we were able to swim with them multiple times, which was very lucky.

Moreover, the dolphins were in a great mood and were making a lot of sounds. When I put my face in the water, I could hear their calls.

風が気持ちよく、波も穏やかだったので心配していた船酔いは大丈夫でした。

約30分ほど船を走らせると、ようやくイルカが近くを泳いでいるとの情報がありました。
運が良ければ5分でいるかと遭遇なんてこともあるそうですが、運が悪ければ1時間半くらい海を漂うこともあるそうなので、今回はまだマシだったと思います。

そこからは本当に船の上が急に慌ただしくなり、すぐさま海に飛び込みました。

みんなで泳いでいたら、イルカたちはすぐに私たちのそばを泳いでいきました。
今回は約50頭ほどの群れが少し分かれて泳いでいたようで、何度もイルカと泳ぐことが出来たのでとても運が良かったといってました。

しかも、イルカたちはとても機嫌が良かったのがめっちゃ鳴いていました。
海に顔を付けると、鳴き声が聞こえてきます。

興奮冷めやらぬ中、ボートに戻り次のシュノーケルポイントへ向かいます。

次は、ウミガメときれいな魚がたくさん泳いでいました。

初めは分からなかったのですが、こっちの海はワイキキよりもさらに透明度が高いです。
ボートの上からでも10メートル以上はありそうな海の底まできれいに見えました。

本当に綺麗な海です。
最高でした！！

本当に楽しかったです。

帰りのバスはみんなほぼ爆睡(笑)

めっちゃ泳ぐので疲れるかもしれませんが、とても満足でした。

I was initially not planning to join the dolphin tour that my family asked me to find. However, as I read more about the details of the tour and experiences from others, I became irresistibly drawn to the idea of meeting these wild dolphins, and eventually, I ended up signing up for it myself.

The waters of the West Coast are incredibly clear, and the dolphins swimming, the ocean floor, and even the sunlight filtering through all had an unbelievable sparkle, existing naturally in their own right. I've seen many beautiful things, but it's captivating to witness the raw beauty of the Earth as it is, rather than something prepared for us.

I enjoy participating in various activities, but I usually feel satisfied after doing something once, and it's rare for me to want to see something again. So, I was surprised by how much this experience moved me.

In June, my husband and I participated in this event. The weather that day was clear, and the wind was calm, making for perfect conditions.

We were staying at Embassy Suites and gathered at the Sheraton parking lot at 6:05 AM. Since it was quite early, I recommend securing breakfast the day before and having it in your room. On this day, participants from Dolphin University and Dolphin Middle School shared a large bus. During the ride, there were discussions about dolphin ecology and snorkeling instructions. I recommend staying awake to listen, as there were many interesting and important topics. For a brief moment, we even saw the tree used in the "This Tree, What Tree" commercial from the bus.

After about an hour, we arrived at the port, where those interested could rent wetsuits for $10. Most participants rented them that day. The boat we took from Dolphin Middle School was an open speedboat, and it was quite windy on board, so renting was definitely the right choice. After using the restroom, we finally boarded the boat. We took off our shoes and sat on the edge of the boat. Our belongings were secured in the middle of the boat, tied with ropes to keep them afloat. Since there was no cover, I think it's better to have a bag that closes securely.

That day, we were lucky enough to encounter a pod of dolphins less than ten minutes after departure. At the captain's signal, everyone jumped into the sea together. Since we were wearing life jackets, there was no fear of drowning. I was truly moved by the sight of dolphins gracefully swimming directly below us. After getting back on the boat, we moved to a spot where we could swim with sea turtles. The water was very clear, and there were many sea turtles, allowing us to swim close to them multiple times. We also saw many beautiful tropical fish, making it the most stunning snorkeling experience I've had.

After returning to land, there was an explanation about purchasing photos. A dedicated photographer accompanied us throughout the tour and took over 500 pictures that day. Downloading the photos costs $50, but they were truly professional and captured beautiful images, including underwater shots, so I was glad I purchased them. For those who may not have internet access, it seems you can also buy a USB for $55.

約1時間で港へ到着し、希望者は10ドルでウエットスーツを借りることができます。この日はほとんどの参加者が借りていました。イルカ中学で乗るボートは屋根のないスピードボートで、船上はかなり風を強く感じるので、借りて正解でした。トイレを済まし、いよいよ船に乗り込みます。靴は脱いで、ボートの淵へ腰かけます。荷物は船の真ん中にあるバーに、ロープにくくりつけて宙に浮かせた状態にします。特にカバーなどはしないため、ふたがしまる袋のほうが良いと思います。

この日は運よく出港から10分弱で、イルカの群れに遭遇できました。キャプテンの合図でみんなで一斉に海へ飛び込みます。救命胴衣を着けているので溺れる不安はありません。海の中で真下を優雅に泳ぐイルカの姿に本当に感動しました。再びボートへ乗り込み、次はウミガメと泳げるスポットへ移動します。この時点で数名船酔いしている方がいて、乗り物に弱い人は事前に酔い止め必須だと思いました。夫も普段は非常に乗り物に弱いタイプなのですが、薬が効いたのか酔わずにほっとしました。こちらも海の透明度が高くウミガメが多くいて、何度も間近に泳ぐことができました。きれいな熱帯魚もたくさん見れて、いままでシュノーケルした海の中で一番きれいでした。

陸へ戻った後は写真購入について説明があります。ツアー中ずっと専属のカメラマンがついていて下さり、この日は500枚以上撮影してくれました。ダウンロードには50ドルかかりますが、さすがプロフェッショナル、水中も含め非常に美しい写真を撮ってもらえるので私は購入してよかったです。インターネット環境があまりない人は、55ドルでＵＳＢ入りを購入することもできるようです。

ツアー参加者の中には70代のおばあちゃんや小学生もいて、二人とも初めはかなり不安だったようですが最後はとても楽しんでいました。泳ぎが苦手でもインストラクターの方が手厚くフォローしてくれます。年齢経験問わずハワイの美しい海を堪能できるので、本当にお勧めです。

During the bus ride, we received explanations, and as soon as we arrived at the port, we headed out to sea. In that regard, Dolphin Academy has an advantage because of its smaller group size, allowing for quicker departures compared to the university. On the other hand, families can relax more, so the university is recommended for them.

The weather was clear, and although it was May, we didn't wear wetsuits and it wasn't particularly cold. Not everyone borrowed one this time, but it seemed to be fine. However, it can get chilly when the wind hits you after getting wet, so I recommend having a bag ready with a bath towel and a jacket.

Due to rain the previous night, the water clarity was a bit low, but we were able to see dolphins. About 5-6 dolphins swam about 10 meters away from us. ガイドさん曰く、出発が遅くなると他のツアーが先にいた場合待っていなくてはいけなかったりして時間を取られる分トライ回数が減ってその分イルカに出会える可能性が減るとのことでした。その点で、イルカ中学は人数が少なくさっと出られるので大学より有利とおっしゃっていました。逆に家族ずれはのんびりできるから大学の方がオススメと言っていました。

天気は快晴だったので５月でしたがウェットスーツは着用しませんでしたが特に寒いこともありませんでした。今回は参加者全員借りていませんでしたが特に問題なかったようです。
ただ、濡れた後に風が当たると寒いので、バスタオルと上着はすぐに出せるかばんを用意することをお勧めします。
昨晩雨が降ったせいで透明度は少し低かったですが、無事イルカを見ることができました。大体5-6匹で10m先を泳いでいました。ただしカメラはもっていきましたが、きれいに映すのはかなりむずかしいです。そこについてはプロのカメラマンがついてくれるので、写真自体は50＄ほどでもらうことが可能です。

一息ついたところでスープとスニッカーズ的な奴とパイナップルを配ってくれます。特にパイナップルは甘くておいしいのでおすすめ。

シュノーケリングと言っても、潜水などは必要なく基本的に浮いているだけなので未経験者も心配ないです。
注意点としては、更衣室等はないので濡れてもいい上着とパンツを持ってきておくことをおすすめします。

総評としてはイルカもカメも見れて、午前中で終わるので午後は買い物など違うことができるし、日本ガイドなので英語ができなくても安心で非常に良かったです。

Since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the pickup location was in front of the Ilikai Hotel next to the Hilton. It's easy to find as it's also a trolley stop.

A little earlier than the scheduled time, a small yellow bus, resembling a school bus, arrived. We boarded this bus and headed to the west coast, taking about an hour from Honolulu.

To quickly get out to sea from the harbor, the staff member on the bus provided us with important information and instructions. Although it was early in the morning, there was no time to sleep on the bus.

Regarding equipment, since the water is cold and those who are not good swimmers might find it easier to float in a wetsuit, we rented one for $10. Most of the tour participants rented wetsuits as well.

群れの泳ぐ方向へ先回りして船でスタンバイ。イルカの背鰭が見えてきたら合図と共にみんなで一斉に海へ飛び込みます。

私はシュノーケリングをこんなに沖でやるのは初めて。しかも、泳ぎも不得意。

飛び込む前までは凄く怖かったのですが。。。

全く問題ありませんでした！！

お姉さんの話をよく聞いて落ち着いてその通りに動けば何も心配はいりません。
使ったシュノーケリングの器具もよかったのか、目や口に水が入ってくることもありませんでした。

「真下を見てー！」というお姉さんの声で下を覗きこむと何匹ものイルカの群れが泳いでいるのが見れました！！

この日は4回トライし、4回ともイルカを見ることができました。しかも、水の濁りも少ないポイントで待ち伏せてくれた船長の腕は確かなものです。さすがレジェンド。

4回目にいたっては手が届きそうなほど間近で見ることができました。
シュノーケリング中は気づかなかったのですが、後で防水カメラのムービーを見返したら、なんとイルカの鳴き声まで収録されていてビックリ。
野生のイルカの生活を覗かせてもらうことができた本当に貴重な経験でした。

ちなみに、この日は風が強かったため海が濁っているということで浅瀬でのシュノーケリングは無しでした。
浅瀬でのシュノーケリングをメインで考えられている方は、日によっては無くなるケースがあることも想定しておいた方がいいかもしれません。

最後に船にもどりフルーツと温かい紅茶をいただいて、残りの軽食（菓子パン・ジュース・チーズ・グラノーラバー）はバスに戻ってからいただきました。
帰りのバスでプロの写真の方が撮影した写真データの販売案内があります。写真を購入したのですが、レクチャー中の風景や当日に見たイルカの写真までとってもきれいに獲れていました。

あと、個人的にはハワイアンスピナードルフィンの生態や生息数、ハワイアンとイルカの関わりなどについてもっと詳しい話が聞ければもっと嬉しかったです。

初めてだけどイルカと一緒に泳ぎたいという方には本当にとてもいいアクティビティーだと思います。貴重な経験をありがとうございました。
