I have been here before, so this was my second visit. Just as amazing as the first time I was there. The students who run the programs are so friendly and knowledgeable. The day is very busy, but so much fun. Definitely worth having the tour guide. The center is kept spotless and all of the shows are enjoyable. The best place to visit to learn about the culture you are visiting. Would visit here every time I am on the island. Great trip! Luau is fun and upbeat. The night show is the best!

Initially, I had signed up for a morning tour, but the day before, I received a call from the tour company saying there was a problem with the boat for the morning tour and that it was unlikely to happen, so they asked me to switch to the afternoon tour.

I really wanted to visit the sandbar, so I decided to join the afternoon tour. When I arrived at the meeting point, the boat from the morning tour was just returning.

Wasn't the morning tour supposed to be canceled?

I'm not sure if there was a communication issue between the operating company and the tour company, but if it was overbooked, I would have appreciated an explanation.

The sandbar itself was very beautiful and spacious, so it was disappointing.

催行会社とツアー会社との間での連絡がうまくいっていなかったのか、どういった経緯があるのかわかりませんが、オーバーブッキングならそのように説明して頂きたかったです。

サンドバー自体はとても美しくて広々としていて、非常によかったので残念でした。

The sea in Kailua was surprisingly beautiful and soothing. It was our first time kayaking, but the staff kindly guided us, and we were able to paddle safely to a deserted island. On the island, we saw baby seabirds and learned many interesting stories about Hawaiian legends and goddesses. During our free time, we also tried bodyboarding for the first time, and the waves were just right, so both my husband and I got hooked on it.

カイルアの海も、びっくりするくらいきれいで癒されました。
主人も私も初カヤックだったのですが、スタッフの方に親切に指導いただいて無人島まで無事に漕いで行くことができました。
島では、海鳥のひなを見たり、ハワイのいいつたえや女神さまの話をたくさんしていただいて、とても興味深かったです。
空いた時間で、ボディボードにも初挑戦でしたが、波がちょうどよく、主人と二人ハマってしまいました。

This was a full day. Prepare to be exhausted by the end of it. BUT it was well worth it. We paid the extra to use our guide for the day (cousin Cissy) which for sure was the best plan since we would not have seen half of the exhibits and demonstrations that he took us to had we gone it alone. Well worth the extra expense. Cousin Cissy was the best guide - he was totally passionate for his culture and very knowledgeable. He genuinely cared that we saw the best of his people. A perfect day out which ended with an amazing show - a must to see. Our only compaint was the food - it was disappointing and bland. But plenty of it so we did not go hungry.

The Quintessential Hawaiian Experience

If you're looking for a pleasant, relaxing dinner on the water this is the option for you - I would highly recommend the the three star option - the slight price difference is worth it.

Although there are a lot of guests on board it's not loud nor do you have a feeling of being over crowded. The lobster is wonderful and they have staff that come and around crack the shell for you! you can get as messy as you want though once she's revealed the majority of the crayfish for you

Steak is a small serve but very satisfying and in between meals popping up to the top deck is fantastic - the Honolulu skyline is gorgeous and the fresh warm air simply wonderful - it's a great way to start or end any Hawaiian Vacation or celebrate a special occasion.

I participated in a company trip with four guys, and the kayaking experience in the best beaches and ocean of Hawaii became the highlight of this trip. The weather was great that day, and the waves were calm, so we made good progress. After arriving at the island and receiving explanations about its historical background, the four of us got excited and enjoyed kayaking with the instructor. Since we had to paddle against the waves to reach the surfing point, teamwork was essential, and it took quite a bit of physical effort. We capsized several times, but when we caught a wave, it felt amazing!

Afterward, we were really tired, but it was a good kind of fatigue, like all the built-up stress in our bodies was released, leaving us with a sense of accomplishment and euphoria. If you're going to Hawaii, shopping and dining are great, but the ocean is definitely the main attraction! Next time I go to Hawaii, I’ll participate again with my wife.

社員旅行でおじさん４人で参加しましたが、ハワイの最高のビーチと海でのカヤック体験は今回の旅で１番の思い出になりました。当日は天候もよく波も穏やかであったため、割とスイスイと進みました。島に到着、いろいろ歴史的背景について説明を受けた後、我々４人はテンション上がりインストラクターとカヤックサーフィンを楽しみました。波乗りポイントまでは波に逆らって進むので、チームワーク必要でしたし、結構体力使いました。何度も転覆しましたが、波に乗れたときはサイコーの気分でした＾０＾/
終わった後はとれも疲れましたが、いい疲労感というか、体の中の溜まった澱みたいなものが全部はき出した感じで、達成感と浮遊感でいっぱいでした。
ハワイいくなら、買い物や食事もいいけど、やっぱり海ですよね~。次回ハワイ行くときは、奥さんとまた参加します。

This was my sixth trip to Hawaii, and I participated in a dinner show for the first time. While a similar show can be enjoyed at the Polynesian Cultural Center, I chose this one because my accommodation was at Hilton and I was traveling with my 5-year-old child, allowing us to enjoy it without wasting travel time.

When making the reservation, I debated between regular seating and the Golden Circle seats. I opted for the Golden Circle seats, hoping to arrive early and sit in the front row. As planned, we arrived early at the meeting point, maintained a good position during the move, and entered the venue ahead of time. However, the seat assigned to us by the staff was a somewhat awkward spot with a few people in front of us. Many front-row seats in the Golden Circle were available, but I believe they were reserved for group guests. Since we were a party of three, we ended up sharing a table with other smaller groups.

The venue had large square tables for eight set up on three sides of a big stage, with the closest tables to the stage designated as Golden Seats. The regular seats were located about two meters behind the Golden Seats, separated by an aisle. The seat at the very back of the Golden Seats was only about two meters different from the regular seats. Additionally, if you are an owner of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club, you could upgrade to the Golden Seats for free at the regular seat price. I ended up spending unnecessarily without knowing this.

In terms of cost performance, I would rate the regular seats three stars and the Golden Circle seats two stars. The luau itself was very good.

ポリネシアカルチャーセンターでも同じようなショーが楽しめますが、宿泊先がヒルトンだったのと、5歳になる子供が一緒のため、移動時間のロスなく楽しめるこちらにしました。

予約の際、普通席かゴールデンサークル席か迷いましたが、早めに行って最前列で観れれば、と思い、ゴールデンサークル席にしました。結果、予定通り早めに集合場所に行き、移動中も良い位置をキープし早めに会場入りできましたが、係りの方に案内された席は前に数名いる中途半端な席でした。他のゴールデンサークル席の最前列は沢山開いていたのに、団体客用に取っておく必要があるのだと思います。うちは３名参加だったので、他の少人数の参加者との相席になりました。

会場は四角い大きな舞台の３辺に８名掛けのテーブルが並べられ、舞台から一番近いテーブルがゴールデンシートになっていました。ゴールデンシートから２ｍほどの通路を挟んだ後方のテーブルが普通席です。ゴールデンシートの一番後ろの席になると、普通席と２ｍほどしか変わりません。
また、ヒルトン・グランド・バケーション・クラブのオーナーなら、普通席の料金でゴールデンシート席へ無料アップグレードできました。知らずに無駄な出費をしてしまいました。
コスパは普通席なら☆３つ、ゴールデンサークル席なら☆２つ。
ルアウ自体はとても良かったです。

I chose a guided tour.
First, we went snorkeling at Kailua Beach, but the waves were quite high, making it tough to swim without fins. It was also surprisingly deep.

After that, we enjoyed a delicious pizza the size of a face, and then kayaked to Flat Island. The transfer from the shop seemed challenging for just the girls, but once we got to the sea, we paddled hard following the guide. It really takes a lot of stamina.
The guide at Flat Island was also very good. I definitely recommend going with a guide.

Lastly, please remember that for this tour, you will need to change out of your swimsuit on the way back, so don't forget to bring a change of clothes.

フラット島でのガイドもとても良かったです。

I think the sea is very clear and beautiful. I joined this tour because I wanted my daughter to see this sea. This is my second time on this tour. Last time, I went all the way to Lanikai. My daughter, who is with me this time, is kayaking for the first time. I didn't think paddling was that difficult, but we made it to Flat Island. I highly recommend the optional pancakes with plenty of macadamia nut sauce from Boots & Kimo's. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any sea turtles. Thank you to all the staff for your help. I can hardly speak English, but I didn't have any trouble at all. I had a great time, thank you.

午前のツアーは朝が早いけど、午後を有効に使えるのでとても良いと思いました。帰ってから、シャワーを浴びて、エッグスンシングスへ。時間的にも閉店間際、空いていて良かったです。

It was my first time riding in Western style, and I really enjoyed it. Unlike riding in a riding arena in Japan, I was able to gallop in nature, which was refreshing and very satisfying. I believe even advanced riders can have a great time here. I definitely want to visit again.

ウエスタンスタイルの乗馬は初めてでしたが、とても楽しめました。
日本での馬場での乗馬と異なり、自然の中を駈足出来て、爽快、とても満足です。

Everyone was nice almost to the creepy extreme if you are from NY or Chicago. Big BYU influence may have been the reason for the overly dressed female workers. Very child friendly environment. Would defiantly take a young family there.

The Polynesian Culture Center was a great experience. The representations of the countries were great. The canoe ride, the canoe parade, and the activities were very well done. Our guides, Hannah and Saydie were awesome. They really made our tour special, and were very informative. The HA fire show was amazing !

The only thing that was disappointing was the dinner. There wasn't much of a variety. I went back for seconds and there was barely any food left, and no fruit. It seemed that we were rushed throught dinner. I was very disappointed in what I thought would be an "authentic" luau.

I had decided to definitely go when I came to Hawaii since it had been featured on TV several times. When we participated, the water was about knee-deep at the shallowest point. The weather was nice, but it was a bit chilly when we got in and out of the water due to the strong wind. However, the staff's talks and performances were so unique that the cold didn't bother us at all. The freshly grilled hamburgers were also fantastic. I'm glad I participated.

テレビでま何度か紹介されていたので、ハワイに来たら絶対行こうと決めていました。
私たちが参加した時は、一番浅いところでひざ下くらいでした。
天気は良かったんですが、風が強く水に入るときと上がってからは、少し肌寒かったです。
でもスタッフの方々のトーク＆パフォーマンスがとてもユニークで寒さなんか吹っ飛びました。
焼きたてのハンバーガーも最高でした。

I attended the Chief's luau with my husband, siblings/spouses, and my elderly parents. A great time was had by all....even got my parents (temporary) tattooed at the event! We enjoyed the pre-show activities and the food was delicious. Chief and his group of entertainers put on an excellent show. This was my first luau, but my siblings had been to others on previous visits and said Chief's luau was their favorite.

I participated in the VIP room plan with meals included. The impersonations were fantastic, aiming for perfection. However, it became boring. The time spent was excessively long. Starting with drink time in the green room, followed by waiting, and finally the show after finishing the meal. It was over five hours from the meeting time to when we were finally released. I was quite sleepy during the event, battling drowsiness. I felt bad being in the second row from the front... However, taking a commemorative photo with the impersonators was a nice memory. The food was surprisingly decent for the price. If you haven't seen it before, I think it's worth going, but the enjoyment may vary depending on your interest in the era and music.

食事も意外と、値段相応にそこそこいけます。
一度見たことがなければ、行くのもアリだとは思いますが、
年代と音楽に関しての関心度で、楽しさが変わると思います。

It was different from what I imagined from the commercials, but it was good. I researched the low tide data, but the timing of my trip to Hawaii wasn't the best for low tide, which made it difficult. The staff's response was relatively good, and I was overall satisfied, especially since I got to see a sea turtle. I saw some fish while snorkeling, but the water clarity wasn't as high as I expected.

干潮のデータを調べていきましたが、今回ハワイに行ったタイミングが一番潮の引くタイミングではなく難しいです。

I went horseback riding for the first time in a year and a half. I took a bus for about two hours and was planning to walk to the ranch from there, but while walking after getting off the bus, I met a kind couple who offered to drive me! Since I arrived much earlier than planned, I took a nap in a hammock. I rode across the vast ranch with a handsome cowboy named Ross, chatting and learning how to ride better. It took me some time to get used to it since it had been a while, but I had a lot of fun! We also took a commemorative photo with the North Shore sea in the background. I had such a great time horseback riding, but I got too carried away and forgot to give a tip... sorry, next time! When I go horseback riding in Hawaii again, I will request this place!

バスに2時間くらい乗り、そこから牧場まで歩きの予定でしたが、バスをおりて歩いていたら親切なご夫婦に出会い車で送って頂きました♪
予定より早くつきすぎたので、ハンモックでお昼寝等してました。
ハンサムなカウボーイのロスさんと、世間話したり上手な乗り方を教わりながら、広大な牧場を乗馬しました。
久しぶりだったので慣れるまで時間がかかりましたが、とても楽しく満喫できました!!
ノースショアの海をバックに記念写真も撮ってもらいました♪
せっかく楽しい乗馬をさせてもらったのに、はしゃぎすぎてチップを渡すのを忘れてしまいました…sorryまた次回!!

It was just the two of us participating. I remembered a woman I met in Hawaii who told me that I should definitely visit the sandbar, which led me to decide to join this tour.

It was the right choice!

The scenery during the round trip between the hotel and the port was wonderful, and I was able to see many sea turtles. The sandwiches on the boat were delicious, and I was very satisfied.

I tend to get motion sickness, so I took some medication beforehand, but the boat was large and the waves were calm, so I might not have needed it. I think it's a good idea to apply sunscreen thoroughly.

I participated in this luau show because I wanted to immerse myself in the Hawaiian atmosphere during my stay. I made a reservation early with high hopes, but just because I booked early doesn’t guarantee a good seat (cry). It felt like they were seating us in order of arrival. The host spoke in English, so I couldn’t understand what was being said, which might reduce the enjoyment for those who don’t speak English, but the dancing was truly amazing, as expected from the authentic setting. The fire dance, in particular, was incredibly powerful and the best part! The venue isn’t very large, so I think you can see the show well from any spot. Therefore, I felt that it’s sufficient to go with a standard seat without paying extra. The only advantage of the premium seats is that they let you go to the buffet first. The food was fairly good.

滞在中によりハワイ気分を味わいたくて、このルアウショーに参加しました。
気合を入れて早くから予約していたのですが、早く予約を入れたからといっていい席とは限らないのですね（泣）
入場した順番で前の席から案内されるといったカンジでした。
司会進行役（？）の方が英語なので何を言っているのかわからず、英語を話せない方にとっては楽しさ半減かもしれませんが、ダンスはさすが本場だけあって素晴らしかったです。
特にファイヤーダンスが迫力満点で最高でした！
場所的にはそんなに広くないのでどの場所からでもショーは良く見えると思います。
なので、わざわざ高いお金を払わなくてもスタンダードシートで十分だと思いました。
プレミアムシートのメリットはブュッフェを先に取りに行かせてくれるぐらいです。
料理はまあまあ美味しかったです。

I participated in a tour with lunch on September 26 (local time). The guide on the shuttle bus spoke English, and we had a fun (though a bit noisy) time until we arrived at the port. From the port to the sandbar, our guide "Miho" kept us entertained with her enjoyable microphone performance until we returned. "Yuki" took some great photos of us (like making heart shapes with our hands and holding hands, as well as shots from behind). I heard there are days when you can't see sea turtles, but that day we were able to see 6 or 7, which was amazing. We enjoyed a paradise-like experience with lunch (freshly grilled hamburgers) and beer at the sandbar. After a break, we moved to the snorkeling spot, and snorkeling among the coral reefs was truly breathtaking. It was my first time going to Hawaii with my wife after 21 years of marriage, and it was the best experience. We went on this trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and the arrival of our first grandchild (by the way, I'm still only 44). I want to go back many more times. Next time, I want to bring my son, daughter, and all my grandchildren. Thank you for the precious experience and memories.

9月26日(現地時間)の昼食付きのツアーに参加しました、送迎バスのなかでは案内人の方が英語でしたが楽しく(少しうるさい)過ごし港に到着、港からサンドバーまでは案内人の「みほ」さんがとても楽しいマイクパフォーマンスで帰るまで楽しませてくれました、「ゆき」さんが撮ってくれる写真(夫婦で手でハートマークや手をつないでや、後ろ姿など)もすごく良かったです、海がめも見れない日があるらしいのですがその日は6、7匹見る事ができ感動、サンドバーで昼食(焼きたてハンバーガー)とビールで楽園気分満喫、休憩後シュノーケリング場所へ移動、珊瑚礁のなかのシュノーケリングは感動の一言でした、結婚して21年で初めて家内と二人でハワイに行きましたが最高でした、今回の旅行は結婚20年記念と初孫ができたお祝いで行きましたが(ちなみにまだ44歳です)、また何回も行きたいです。次回は息子、娘、孫みんな連れて行きたいです、貴重な体験と感動ありがとうございました。
