I wanted to see the fireworks from the sea, but the night view of Waikiki and the starry sky away from the city lights were truly beautiful, and I was moved even without the fireworks. And of course, the fireworks were beautiful too.
Going barefoot and boarding during high tide can get you quite wet if the waves are not timed well. It's best to wear beach sandals and clothes that can get wet, like swimwear.
