I previously experienced "Splash U" twice, and this time I'm trying the dolphin training experience for the third time. For my third visit, I challenged the upgraded version of Splash U, the "Dolphin Discovery Swim," on June 1.

At 8 AM, the driver from Sea Life Park came to pick me up. He only speaks English but is very chatty and cheerful. When passing by the Honolulu Zoo, he always cracks jokes like, "Last time, a tiger escaped," and "Some people got eaten," making everyone laugh. The bus was full this time, with about 70% of the participants being foreigners.

After arriving at the site, we checked in at the entrance and put on optional wristbands. Then we entered and moved to the reception center. (By the way, since the program starts at 9:15, it's better to wear your swimsuit from the hotel beforehand.) The Japanese participants included my family (two adults and one child) and another family of three, totaling six people. Inside, we signed a contract and watched an explanatory video. Then, the Japanese-speaking staff member, KEIKO, provided additional explanations, and we finally moved to the dolphin pool.

Once we arrived, we quickly put on life jackets. During Splash U, we only went into water that was about waist-deep, but this time we went into water that was chest-deep. The children from both families were small (my child is five years old) and participated while being held by their parents. The kids were quite scared of the large dolphins, but they seemed very satisfied after touching them.

３度目の今回はスプラッシュＵがバージョンアップした
「ドルフィン・ディスカバリー・スイム」を
６月１日にチャレンジしてきました。

ピックアップ時間の８時にシーライフパークの運転手が
迎えに来てくれました。
この方は英語しか話せませんが、お喋りで陽気な方で
ホノルル動物園の脇を通るときに、「この前、虎が逃げた」
「何人か食われた」というギャグを必ずかましたりして
いつも参加者を笑わせてくれます。
バスの中は今回は満員状態でした。７：３位で外国の方が多かったです。

さて、現地に到着後、入り口にて確認をおこなってから
腕にオプショナルサインの腕輪をはめます。
そして中に入場して、受付センターに移動しました。
（そうそう、９時１５分からのスタートなのでホテルから
事前に水着を来て参加された方がいいですよ）
日本人の参加者は我が家（大人２名、子供１名）と
もう一組の家族３名の計６名でした。
中では契約書にサインをしてから説明ビデオを鑑賞します。
それから日本語担当の担当者：ＫＥＩＫＯさんが追加の説明を行って、
いよいよイルカプールへ移動します。
現場に着くと早速ライフジャケットを着ます。スプラッシュＵの時は
おしりの下程度の水深までしか入りませんでしたが、
今回は胸くらいまでつかる水深の所にまで入っていきます。
子供は両家族ともに小さく（我が家は５歳）親に抱っこされての参加です。
内容はイルカに触れたり、餌を与えたり、自分たちの合図でイルカが
目の前でジャンプしたり、水をかけられたりします（笑）
子供達は大きなイルカにビビリまくっていましたが、イルカに
触れてとても満足そうでした。

記念撮影時にはイルカとキスをしたり、握手をした時を撮ってくれます。
また今回は写真だけでなく映像（ＤＶＤ）も同時に撮影してくれていますので
記念に写真とＤＶＤの両方を購入してきました。

ちょっと残念なのはスプラッシュＵの時は「アカデミー」だったので
卒業証書がもらえたのですが、今回はありませんでした。
しかし、内容自体は本当にパワーアップと言うよりも
全てが変わっている感じです。スプラッシュＵに参加した時は
満足していました

I went on June 2nd. It was my first experience on my third trip to Hawaii. Even though I'm not a good swimmer, I felt safe and enjoyed myself wearing a life jacket. The tour guide was Japanese and provided simultaneous interpretation, so I was able to understand the explanations clearly. Each person got to kiss a dolphin, swim while holding onto its fin, and I even heard the dolphin's "kikiki" sound. I was truly satisfied and felt healed. ^^

However, one downside was that I thought, "There's no way to take pictures during this experience." The staff took three photos (one of the dolphin kissing my cheek, one of me kissing its mouth in return, and one of me swimming while holding onto its fin), but they weren't very good... My friend's face wasn't visible at all, and I was told that the photo of me kissing the dolphin in return was missing... I reluctantly gave up and bought just two photos to take home. There was also a DVD of the experience, but it was a bit pricey...

Well, who cares about the photos! I think anyone who just wants to touch dolphins will be satisfied. They were so cute! ☆★☆

ハワイ３度目にしてはじめての経験。泳ぎの苦手な私でもライフジャケットを着てだったので安心して楽しめました。ツアーガイドの方は日本の方で同時通訳をしながらだったので、説明もきちんと受けられました。一人一人イルカとキスしたり、ヒレにつかまって泳ぐことが出来たり、イルカの『キキキ』という声も聞くことが出来たし、本当に大満足で癒されました^^
ただ、難点は、体験して「これじゃ、撮ることは無理だな」とは思ったけど、写真が撮れないこと。スタッフの方が、３枚（イルカがほっぺにチュー、おかえしに口にチュー、ヒレにつかまって泳ぐ）を撮ってくれるのですが、あまり上手ではなく･･･。友達は全く顔が映っていなかったり、私はとったはずなのにお返しに口にチューした写真が無いと言われ･･･。泣く泣くあきらめ２枚だけ買って帰りました。体験中のDVDもありましたがちょっとお高め。。。
ま、写真なんてどうでもいい！イルカととにかく触れたいという方は満足行くと思います。
と～てもかわいかったです☆★☆

I participated with a friend. Since I can't dive, I experienced the deep sea for the first time in this submarine. I was of course amazed to see so many fish up close, but I was surprised to see the colors fade as we went deeper. I couldn't help but laugh a little as my friend's complexion kept getting worse. We participated as a family of five (husband, wife, a sixth grader, a third grader, and a preschooler). Everyone in the family was impressed with the experience, which exceeded our expectations. We set sail from the pier, and the view from the boat was fantastic. We were in great spirits as we watched the submarine sink and rise from the water. I don't have many opportunities to ride a submarine, so it was quite nice, right? I also got to see sea turtles, and there were divers too. I think the morning is better because the water is clearer. You can also hear explanations in Japanese. The crew members were really cool. However, the photos they take are expensive (though I guess you don't have to buy them...). The only issue was that there was no explanation regarding the pick-up of the shuttle bus when returning to the hotel, which caused some confusion afterward. The way it seemed like we couldn't return unless we participated in the coral processing factory tour was disappointing.

However, there were many Japanese people in our group, and we ended up in the same group as only foreigners. The instructor who could speak Japanese was translating for the Japanese group from the back. I participated in the Dolphin Adventure without transportation on March 17, after seeing Alan. I received a prompt response to my request, which made me feel at ease about joining. It seemed to have been cold until the day before, but the weather was truly beautiful on the day itself. We were divided into two groups, one with eight Japanese and another with seven foreigners, and we interacted with the dolphins in a pool facing the stunning blue sea. Today, the dolphins were in good condition, and my wife and daughter were looking forward to swimming with them. The dolphins turned upside down, and finally, my wife and daughter got to hold onto their pectoral fins (it wasn't the tail fin that day) for a rendezvous. Everyone got to swim with the dolphins. ALANを見てドルフィンアドベンチャーの送迎なしコースに３月１７日参加しました。リクエスト後、すぐに回答が頂け安心して参加することができました。前日まで寒かったようですが、当日は本当に良い天気で海の青さが際立つ海に面したプールで日本人８人、外国人７人の２グループに別れ、イルカとの触合い。今日はイルカの体調がいい。という事で一緒に泳げるのを妻と娘が期待していました。そしてイルカがひっくり返った格好になり、とうとう胸ヒレ（当日は尾びれではありませんでした）につかまってランデブー。一人一人全員がイルカと一緒に泳ぐ事が出来ました。妻と娘の最高の笑顔をばっちりビデオに納めました！えっ、僕？そうです、こんなに楽しそうとは思わずについビデオ係となってしまいました。こんなに素敵なアクティビティなら参加すれば良かった！と後悔しまくり。購入用の写真も素敵に取れていました。が、少々高め。後、聞いた話では、気温が低いとイルカも元気がないそうです。

I participated on March 15, 2005. The lunch was a buffet style and, as usual, it wasn't very delicious. We cruised offshore past Diamond Head looking for whale mother and calf splashes, and I was able to witness many pods, which was a very moving scene. I was very satisfied with the tour itself.

２００５年３月１５日に参加してきました。昼食はバイキング形式で例によってあまり美味しくはありませんでした。ダイヤモンドヘッドの先の沖合いでクジラ親子ののスプラッシュを探してクルーズしましたが、何頭もの群れに遭遇出来てとても感動的なシーンを見る事が出来ました。ツアー自体には大変満足出来ました。
ブリーチングは見れませんでしたが、フルークアップダイブは２回見れ、船内では歓声が沸き起こっていました。このアクティビティ絶対お勧めのツアーだと思います。食事に関しては？？？ですが。

アランは確かに安いですが、ある程度英語が出来ないと何かトラブルが起きた時の不安を感じました。今回も一番下の子供が送迎のバスの中にサングラスを忘れてしまいましたが、結局それは出て来ませんでした。大変気に入っていただけに残念です。アランで申し込んだ場合、現地の催行会社に個人が直接交渉しなくてはならず英語が出来ないと細かい事は申し伝えられません。現地の日本語の通じるツアーデスク経由で申し入れれば大抵はなんとかしてくれるとは思います。英語が多少出来れば何ら問題は無いと思いますが・・・。アランは金額的には大変安く今後も利用していこうと思っています。まずは英語の勉強をもう少ししたいと思います。

I think participating in this tour was a great decision. The underwater exploration in Hawaii, with its clear and beautiful cobalt blue waters, is truly unique to Hawaii. We were also lucky to see resting and swimming turtles, which was a wonderful experience. It became a great memory for both of us.

However, I found out that (1) if you book this tour locally, it costs around $65 to $66, which is significantly cheaper than what we paid through the company. (2) After disembarking, we were taken to a place with coral, but it turned out to be a jewelry sales pitch, which felt a bit off. I think everyone would have had a better impression if we had gone directly to our intended destination without that stop.

I participated on February 13th. I was really moved by my long-awaited interaction with the dolphins! When I attended, there were three Japanese staff members, which made me feel very secure about participating.

I was able to hold onto the dorsal fin and swim for just a few seconds, but there were plenty of other opportunities to interact, so I was fully satisfied. However, it was disappointing that I couldn't take photos with my own camera. They do have a photographer who takes pictures that you can purchase, but I found it expensive—about $25 for three prints of the same shot in different sizes—so I didn't buy them.

Since Sea Life Park is a bit far, I recommend heading out early. Even if you arrive early, you can watch the dolphin show, so you’ll have plenty of time to fill. I took the Blue Line trolley bus to get there. You can also ask the staff at the entrance for the bus schedule for your return trip, so you’ll be fine.

物が確か２５ドルぐらいしたので私は高くて購入しませんでした。

シーライフパークは少し遠いので早めに出かけられることをおすすめします。
早く着いてもイルカのショーを見たりできるので時間は充分に潰せます。
私は、トロリーバスのブルーラインで行きました。
帰りのバスの時間もシーライフパークの入り口の係員に聞けば時刻表を
もらえるので大丈夫です。

I made a reservation in advance with Alan, and on the day of the event, the Sea Life Park bus picked us up at the hotel on time, and we arrived at the location without any issues. We participated in the no transportation plan at 3 PM with a group of four. The Dolphin Adventure was amazing. We were really looking forward to it before going, and after participating in the activities, all four of us returned completely satisfied. The dolphins are incredibly cute. We participated in the early morning Dolphin Adventure with transportation included as a couple. Since we went to Hawaii to swim with dolphins, this activity was extremely satisfying.

野生のイルカだと寿命が早いそうですが、シーライフパークでは健康管理が良くなされていて、天敵もいないため長生きするそうです。確かにイルカに触ったところ、結構太っているようでした。
プログラムが終了したら、冷たい水ですが屋外でシャワーが浴びられます。着替えもできますが、ロッカーは貴重品を入れるだけの小さいものなので、荷物は最小にしたほうが良さそうでした。
プログラムに参加すると、レストランの割引券ももらえます。レストランは、期待していなかったのですが、結構おいしかったです。ホットドックにフレンチフライがついて５ドル位でした。
イルカやアシカのショーも見れます。イルカのショーは、日本のものと違って、寸劇風で良かったです。海亀の餌付け（餌は有料）もできます。シーライフパークは景色も良くて最高です。また、参加したいです。

I participated in the 11 AM session without transportation, and it was so much fun! I left Waikiki around 8:30 AM by rental car, and after stopping a few times at scenic spots, I arrived at the park in about an hour (the parking fee is $3). It was very quiet in the morning, so I walked around the park before heading to the adventure check-in.

レンタカーでワイキキを８時半頃出発、途中に何度か景色の良い所で下車しながら一時間で園に到着です（園の駐車場は＄３）。午前中はとても空いていたので、園内を一周してからアドベンチャーの受付にいきました。
１６人位が参加しましたが、丁度半分ずつ日本語と英語のグループに分けられました。調教と、一緒に泳ぐためのプール二つがあります。一緒に泳ぐことはできましたが、４人ずつイルカの頭の辺りを片手で触りながら自分の力で泳ぐ、という感じでした。５ｍ程一緒に泳ぐだけであっさり終わりです。その日体調が悪いなどの説明はなかったので、参加人数が少なければ一人ずつ引っ張ってもらえるのかな？
その後１２時半のイルカショーを見て、写真を買って帰りました。メガネとコンタクトが心配でしたが、メガネはビーチサイドに、コンタクトは水中眼鏡があるので大丈夫です。水中カメラを持っていきましたが、水中撮影は不可で撮る暇も全くないです。
想像とは違っても十分楽しめたので、おすすめです☆
