My husband and I had different experiences. The ladies were really very nice and the atmosphere was decent. I thought my massage was very average, but he was raving about his, she focused on his hands, head, etc. We were separated by a partition which I was bummed out about (I expected us to be in a room together.) I do believe this was deeply discounted so it was a good value.

I wanted to try a Lomi Lomi massage and was unsure where to go, but since my trip was short, just three nights and five days, I decided on Mandara Spa located in the Hilton where I was staying.

I went alone, so I was a bit nervous, but a Japanese woman kindly explained the lockers and facilities, which was great.

I had about an hour before my Lomi Lomi session, so I spent the time sitting in a comfy chair reading a Japanese version of a Hawaii information magazine.

The massage was performed by a female therapist (I requested a female in advance). The therapist understood only a little Japanese, but we were able to communicate with gestures and simple English (laughs).

The massage felt wonderful. I dozed off, and before I knew it, it was over!

Everyone was kind, and I had a very nice Lomi Lomi experience (*^_^*).

I wanted to get a massage at a spa when visiting Hawaii, so I was searching for options. My desired conditions were:
1. A spa within the hotel
2. A couple's room available
3. Access to a private bath

There were several candidates, but the couple's plans seemed to take about two hours. Since I didn't have much time, I was hoping to find a one-hour lomilomi massage with an option for a bath. I found the perfect plan here and decided on it. We received a 50-minute lomilomi massage in a couple's suite, and afterwards, we were able to relax in the attached bath.

When I applied, it mentioned that I could choose from aromatherapy, milk, or flowers, but for some reason, I didn't indicate my choice. I thought there would be an explanation on-site, but there wasn't, so I deducted one star. However, the room was wonderful. The massage was also very pleasant, and I ended up dozing off.

I contacted them multiple times regarding the room, and their quick responses were very helpful.

The staff at the reception spoke Japanese and provided proper assistance. However, the staff at the spa's internal reception only spoke English. While I was able to manage most things without issue, the details regarding special services were not communicated well, which was disappointing given the high cost. I was taken to the treatment floor 20 minutes before my appointment time and had to wait in a cold, air-conditioned area with a wet body (there were about six of us, and I was the first to be taken to a different floor but the last to be called). I was really chilled to the bone. The treatment table was warm, which was a relief, but I wasn't asked about my preferences for the oil or given any explanations. It was disappointing.

I used the scrub and detox massage! The shop was beautiful, and I was attended to by a Japanese person and another woman. It felt so good that time flew by in no time. I actually fell asleep, so I didn't notice, but on the way back, when I was fixing my hair, I realized they had also taken care of my neck, and it felt so smooth! I used this service during my trip to Hawaii. Since I was staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village and had a wedding the next day, we decided to definitely give it a try.

The lomilomi massage was wonderful, and the 50 minutes flew by. I felt refreshed and was able to greet the next day in great condition.

On the day I had the massage, there was also an all-you-can-eat fruit option and unlimited use of the facilities, so it might be a good idea to schedule it first thing in the morning if you're planning a full day at the beach. It's definitely a better deal that way.

I plan to go again the next time I visit Hawaii.

For those staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, there was also a service where if you book over $150 worth of services at the hotel, you receive a care set worth $100 (or was it $120?).

Staying at the Hilton was very convenient. After arriving in Honolulu and checking into our room early, we headed straight to Mandara Spa. The waiting room had a jacuzzi, and we were able to relax comfortably. All the fatigue from the flight was washed away.

I highly recommend getting a massage on the day of arrival.

I think I will go with this pattern next time as well.

When I went to Hawaii, I definitely wanted to visit a spa, so I booked a treatment at Mandara Spa. The massage was very good, and I think I fell asleep during it. However, since I went in the evening, the pool was too cold to enter, and I couldn't relax by the poolside either, so I only used the jacuzzi before heading back. I thought it would have been best to go a little earlier and take my time.

This is my fifth time at the Mandara Spa at Hilton. Every time I go, it feels so good that I end up falling asleep. This time, I had a lomilomi massage on the first day I arrived in Hawaii. The swelling in my legs went away completely!

The only disappointing thing was that the jacuzzi was out of order and I couldn't use it. I really wanted to relax in the jacuzzi after my shower, so that was a letdown. But other than that, I have no complaints!

I added a head massage as an option to the 50-minute Lomi Lomi massage. Since my reservation was at 8 PM on Friday, it felt like the reception was already in shutdown mode. The jacuzzi was out of order, and perhaps wanting to wrap things up quickly, I was rushed through the sauna and mist after my shower. Yet, I had to wait nearly 10 minutes before the treatment, and it seemed like the head massage was significantly shortened. After the treatment, I was offered cold water instead of tea because they ran out, and the shower room was closed, so I couldn't rinse off the oil! Since I was staying at the Hilton, I left quickly, but if I had come from far away, I would have been furious. Overall, the service lacked elegance and hospitality (perhaps because I'm used to Japanese service). 金曜日の20時予約だったので、なんだか受付からもう終了モード。
ジャグジーは故障中だったし、早く終わらせたいからか、シャワー後のサウナやミストもせかされました。
なのに施術までは10分弱待たされ、ヘッドマッサージもかなり短縮されたような。。
施術後はもうお茶がないからと冷たい水を出されたし、シャワールームがクローズされていて、オイルを流せないという状況！ヒルトンに宿泊していたからさっさと帰ったけれども、遠方からきていたら激怒ですね。
全体的に応対は優雅さやホスピタリティが足りないです。（日本のサービスに慣れているからかもしれませんが）
ただしロミロミマッサージはとても気持ちよく、ヘッドマッサージのフランジパンニオイルがすごく良い香りで、その後髪の状態は非常に良くなりました。
施術の技術はとても良かったので、その他対応でのマイナス面がなければという状況です。
外国らしい応対を経験するのはいいかも。
ご参加を考えている方には、予約時間を十分考慮して下さい。
終了間際の予約は絶対お勧めしません。
