We participated as a family of four (husband, wife, a second-year middle school student, and a third-year elementary school student). At the entrance to Hanauma Bay, we were able to enter without waiting in line, and the tram fare to the beach was included.

What I appreciated the most was that, typically, without a guide, we wouldn't have gone as far as the middle of the bay, but they took us there. We were able to see sea turtles swimming as well.

There were some waves along the way, and my third-grade daughter was scared, but the instructor, a woman who assisted guide Alan, provided a lot of support, which was very helpful. Thank you very much.

Our family participated with our 10-year-old and 7-year-old sons. We chose this tour for snorkeling because safety was the top priority and there was no waiting time. Our 7-year-old son was well taken care of by Alan, which allowed us to enjoy safely. Considering safety, I believe it’s definitely safer to wear life jackets and have an instructor with us on this tour rather than going individually.

Although it’s unrelated to the tour, that night we coincidentally ran into Alan again at a health bar on Monsarrat Avenue, and he kindly gave us a ride back to our hotel, which was a great help. He is very friendly and a wonderful person.

We actually are a family with kids in their 20s but no option for that. We had a wonderful time. the weather was perfect and the water conditions were pretty clear. The turtles were magnificent but there was other wildlife as well--Spinner dolphins, Flying fish, etc. The cruise after the snorkeling was equally as fun. Our captain also had a great choice of music playing. The time went so fast--took the morning cruise which still left us the rest of the day for the beach. Would recommend this to anyone. My only precaution--if you have a anyone in your party with issues of climbing or would not be comfortable walking or sitting on the net of the catamaran you may not enjoy this. We loved it!

もし泳ぎに自信がないけど参加したい、という方は考慮したほうが良いと思います。海はとってもきれいだったので、セーリングだけたのしみたい方にはいいかもしれません。

However, I truly appreciate the female instructor who stayed by my daughter (5 years old), encouraging her while she snorkeled. Thanks to her, my child was able to see the fish, which was great. A few days ago, I went snorkeling on the North Shore, and while I think it varies by day, generally the visibility seems to be better in the summer on the North Shore. However, since Hanauma has shallower areas, it might be better for snorkeling with small children.

Had enough time to enjoy everything.

My 10 and 11 year old daughters and I went on this excursion. It was a dream come true. Our captain took us up to a cove area where there were a good 30-50 spinner dolphins were hanging out! We had a blast. We then moved over to the sea turtles and we just loved that as well.

After the morning pickup, we traveled to Kaneohe with a somewhat suspicious tour guide. On the bus ride, we listened to his light-hearted talk (in English) filled with jokes, and soon we arrived at Kaneohe Bay. The ratio of Japanese to foreign tourists was about half and half. Those who don't understand English might feel quite anxious here (laughs).

At Kaneohe Bay, there were two boats, one for foreign tourists and one for Japanese tourists. On the Japanese boat, a beautiful Japanese lady (who seemed captivated by Hawaii and decided not to return to Japan) guided us in Japanese.

The sandbar has varying water depths depending on the time of day, so I think it's best to go during the times when the water is shallower. Additionally, one of my companions was quite prone to seasickness, but as explained, the waves in Kaneohe Bay are always calm, and we were able to finish the trip without much seasickness! カネオヘ湾は説明のとおり常に波は穏やかで、ほとんど船酔いもせずに終えることができました！
船上では、大きな声でアローハーと叫びましょう！

This was without a doubt the highlight of our holiday, loved it. The girls that took us out were great, they took us to our first location where we got the chance to swim with about 5-6 dolphins, then we moved on to the sea turtles, just great. On our return trip the girls took us back to our first location where there was now a pod of about 70 dolphins that we got to swim with. Just amazing. Thanks girls.
