We found this because I cannot scuba or snorkel and were pleasantly surprised! We had a good time and an excellent group of guides helping us along. I was nervous but they put my mind at ease and I greatly enjoyed seeing all the fish and the sea turtles! They even had snacks for us on the boat.
Thanks for giving me an experience thought I would never get to have. Would definitely recommend!

I participated at the end of November.
I had been looking at the photos on this site, so it was very different from what I imagined.
First of all, each tour company has its own designated area, and the area for this tour company was just a shallow beach that looked nothing like the photos.

Perhaps due to the rain, the sea was murky, and the water depth was about 1 meter.
The water depth reached up to my stomach, as I am 168 centimeters tall.
It was cold due to the bad weather, and I was enduring while getting into the sea.

I would have appreciated a comment stating that in bad weather, the scenery would be different from the sandbar shown in the photos.

11月末に参加しました。
こちらのサイトの写真を見てたので、想像と違い過ぎました。
まず、ツアー会社ごとに仕切っているエリアがあり、こちらのツアー会社で仕切っているエリアは全く写真とは違うただの浅めのビーチでした。

雨のせいか海は濁っていて、水深も深く1メートルほどありました。
水深は、身長168センチのわたしの胃のあたりまであります。
悪天候で寒くて、我慢しながら海に入ってました。

悪天候の場合、こちらのツアーでは写真のサンドバーへとは異なる風景になりますと、一言コメント欲しかったです。

About two weeks before departing for Hawaii, I wanted to participate in a sandbar tour, but everywhere I searched was fully booked. I finally found this tour, which had a reasonable price and availability, so I didn't have high expectations. However, once I participated, the boat was impressive, and the staff's service was very satisfying. We got to see many sea turtles and had the long-awaited sandbar experience, leaving my whole family very happy.

　ハワイ出発がの2週間ほど前から、サンドバーツアーに参加したいと思いつつ予約を取ろうとしたところ検索ですぐに出てくるところはどこも予約がいっぱいでした。
　やっと見つけたこちらのツアーは価格も安めだし空きがあるしで、実はあまり期待はしていませんでした。
　実際参加してみると船は立派だし、スタッフの対応も大変満足できるものでした。内容的にもたくさんのウミガメに会え待望のサンドバー体験のでき家族全員大満足でした。

It was a cloudy and windy day from the morning, and it was cold. Everyone was shivering on the boat (laughs). Still, thanks to the very fun guide and crew, everyone seemed to be smiling and having a great time! We could see some sea turtles here and there. The coldness remained at the sandbar as well... Everyone cautiously changed into their swimsuits and entered the water, but it was still cold (laughs). Just as a light rain started to fall, the chill increased, but since we came all this way, we decided to challenge ourselves with snorkeling! The water was a bit murky, but we were still able to see coral and various beautiful fish, which made us satisfied! We were really hungry, so the sandwiches and snacks that tasted like Doritos after returning to the boat were very delicious. I definitely wanted to participate on a nice weather day, but this became a good memory in its own way. I was worried that the morning-only tour might feel insufficient, but I was completely satisfied even with the short time! After that, we returned to Waikiki and were able to do some shopping, so I felt like we used our time effectively. As mentioned in everyone's reviews, the return bus can be chilly since you are wet, so a jacket is essential, and a bath towel is a must! Since there were just two of us, we brought two towels, but we each used one and got wet, so I thought it would have been nice to have one more for covering up on the return bus.

朝から曇っていて風も強く、寒い1日でした。みんな船内でブルブル震えていました(笑)
それでもとっても楽しいガイドさんやクルーの皆さんのおかげで皆笑顔で楽しそうでした！
ウミガメもチラホラ見えました。サンドバーについても寒いのは変わらず･･･。
みんな恐る恐る水着になり、海へ入っていきましたがやっぱり寒い(笑)
ちょうど小雨も降ってきたので寒さ倍増でしたが、せっかく来たのでシュノーケルに挑戦！
海の中はにごった感じでしたが、それでも珊瑚やいろんな綺麗なお魚を見る事ができ満足でした！
お腹ぺこぺこだったので船に戻ったあとのサンドイッチとドリトスみたいなお菓子がとっても美味しく感じました。
天気の良いときにもちろん参加したかったのですが、これはこれで良い思い出になりました。
午前のみのツアーで、物足りないのかなー？と心配でしたが、全然短い時間でも満足でした！
そのあとまたワイキキに戻り、お買い物できたので時間が有効に使えるなーと思いました。
皆さんのレビューにもあるように、帰りのバスは自分が濡れていることもあり冷えますので
上着はもちろん、バスタオルは必須です！私達は2人でしたので2枚持って行きましたが、
それぞれ1枚ずつ使って濡れてしまったので、帰りのバスでのひざかけ用にもう1枚あれば良かったなーと思いました。

The sandbar I wanted to visit was truly beautiful. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see many sea turtles, but the snorkeling instructions were easy to understand and great. Above all, the hamburger we had on the boat, made with grilled meat, was delicious.

行ってみたかったサンドバー、本当に綺麗でした。
ウミガメがあまり見れなかった事は少し残念でしたが、シュノーケルの説明も分かりやすくて良かったです。何と言っても船上でお肉を焼いてくれて食べたハンバーガーが美味しかったです。

Last year, I graduated from Dolphin Middle School, and since I had such a great time, I enrolled in college this year. The staff member Emi was very cheerful and energetic, full of adrenaline from early in the morning. After listening to the safety briefing, we arrived at Waianae Boat Harbor in about an hour.

As we boarded the boat and headed north, we encountered dolphins multiple times. We could see them jumping and spinning in the distance, playing energetically, which heightened our expectations. Before long, we reached the dolphin point and jumped into the sea.

Following closely behind the staff, a spinner dolphin swam right past us! I was so surprised that I didn't have time to take a photo. The dolphins quickly disappeared, so it seemed many people missed seeing them.

We quickly moved to another point by boat, heading further north along the west coast. When we got the go-ahead to jump into the water, we encountered a large pod of dolphins! Dozens of them were swimming below and surfacing for air. We could even hear their calls.

Several pods came alternately, so it seemed everyone on the tour was able to see them this time. We even had time to take photos. The pictures included here were taken with a compact camera.

After the dolphin lesson concluded and we were about to leave the point, the dolphins came to say goodbye! They swam close to the boat and stayed with us for a while. It was incredibly moving!

Next, we headed to the turtle professor's point. As soon as we arrived, the turtle professor came to greet us. We were really lucky on this tour!

After that, we swam with many colorful tropical fish, tried stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing, and jumped into the sea. We attempted stand-up paddleboarding, but it was challenging to stand and paddle. Although it was a short time, I was very satisfied since I had wanted to try it at least once.

By this time, we were all very hungry. It was the perfect timing for lunch. We had cheeseburgers, snacks, and juice.

Finally, we danced the hula with the staff and graduated safely! We received graduation souvenirs. There were a few small kids around ten years old, but they seemed to be swimming hard. They received a special reward at the end.

On the way back, I heard voices saying, "That was great!" Whether or not you see dolphins can make a difference, but I was truly satisfied and would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Above all, the staff were bright and energetic! Always positive!

昨年イルカ中学を卒業し、とても楽しかったので、今年は大学に入学しました。
とても明るく元気なスタッフえみさん、早朝からアドレナリン全開です。一通りの注意事項を聞いて、1時間ほどでワイアナエボートハーバーに到着。
ボートに乗り込みしばらく北へ進む途中、何度もイルカに遭遇。遠くの方でジャンプしたりスピンしたりと元気に遊んでいる様子を見ることができ、期待が高まります。
そうこうしているうちにイルカポイントに到着。急いで海に飛び込みます。
スタッフさんのすぐ後ろについていると、目の前すぐ近くをハシナガイルカが通り過ぎて行きました！ビックリして写真を撮る間がありませんでした。
イルカはあっという間にどこかへ行ってしまったので、見逃した人も多かったようです。
すぐにボートで別ポイントに移動。西海岸をさらに北へ進みます。
GOサインが出て海に飛び込むと、今度はイルカの大きな群れが！！数十頭の群れが、下の方を泳いでいたり、息継ぎのために上に上がってきたり。鳴き声を聞くこともできました。
群れも幾つかが交互にやってきてくれたので、今回はツアーのみんなが見ることができたようです。写真を撮る余裕もありました。掲載の写真はコンデジで撮ったものです。
イルカ先生の授業が終わり、ポイントを離れようとした時、なんとイルカ先生がお別れのご挨拶に来てくれました。ボートのすぐ近くまで来て、しばらく一緒に泳いでくれていました。大感激！
次はカメ教授のポイントへ。着いて早々、カメ教授がご挨拶に来てくれました。今日のツアーは本当にラッキー！！
その後はたくさんの色とりどりの熱帯魚と泳いだり、スタンドアップパドルやカヌー、ジャンプして海に飛び込んだり。私たちはスタンドアップパドルに挑戦しましたが、立つことも難しく立ってから漕ぐのも大変。短い時間でしたが一度やってみたかったので大満足です。
この頃にはお腹ぺこぺこ。良いタイミングで給食の時期です。チーズバーガーとスナックとジュースをいただきました。
最後にスタッフのみなさんとフラダンスを踊って、
無事卒業！卒業記念品をいただきました。10歳くらいの小さい子も何人かいたけど、頑張って泳いでいたようです。最後に特別なご褒美をもらっていました。
帰り道「良かったね〜」って声が口々に聞こえてきました。イルカに会えるかどうかにもよりますが、本当に大満足、みんなにおすすめしたいツアーです。何よりスタッフさんが明るくて元気！いつも前向き！

The guides were great, they would make sure everybody was together, We saw turtles and variety of hawaii fishes. I would recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Hawaii, its a must see at Hanauma Bay. Thanks Dan & Chieko

On March 29, I participated in a cruise with snacks included. It was my return day, but since I could get back to Waikiki in the morning, it was great to make effective use of my time instead of wandering around aimlessly. I was able to see many turtles, and the sandbar was beautiful because the weather was nice. My nearly 80-year-old mother joined me, and the ship's guide was kind and considerate. However, at the point of disembarking from the ship, the water came up to around her waist, so she decided not to get off. (It’s only knee-deep a little further in, but even without snorkeling, a swimsuit is necessary.)

3月29日、軽食付きのクルーズに参加しました。帰国日でしたが、午前中にワイキキに戻れるので、下手にウロウロするより時間を有効に使えてよかったです。カメさんもたくさん見ることができたし、天気がよかったのでサンドバーも美しかったです。
８０歳近い母も一緒でしたが船のガイドさんは親切で、気をつかってくれました。ただ、船から下りるところだけ、腰の辺りまで水につかってしまうので、母は下りるのを断念しました。（少し歩けばひざ下の深さですが、シュノーケリングをしなくても下は水着が必要です）

It seems that there have been more TV program shoots recently, and it's a place that often gets featured. Since it's a bit away from the beach, you can take interesting photos. The tour bus can be cold inside, so you'll need something to wear over your clothes. For those renting a car, it's recommended to stop by Kailua or Hawaii Kai on the way back.

最近TV番組のロケが増えたようで、よく取り上げられる場所。
浜から少し離れた場所なので、写真を撮っても面白く撮れます。
ツアーバスは車内が寒いので、羽織るものが必要です。
レンタカーの方は帰りにカイルアやハワイカイなどに寄れるので、こちらの方がオススメかな。

Owner/tour guide was outstanding- was so patient with my 8 year old daughter and worked her through her fears! Highly recommend! Bay was beautiful experience- lots of fish!

We had children aged 4 and 5 with us, but there was a proper seating area on the boat, and life jackets were provided, which made us feel safe. We were able to see turtles, and they also lent us floating poles for snorkeling, making it enjoyable even with small children. We would love to participate again.

Picked up on time, nice driver,gave us good tips on snorkeling. Would recommend to friends.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. When we got to the location, was expecting a little more based on what I read on the site. While we did see a couple turtles, they were few and far between. Also not a lot of fish. There were scuba divers in the same spot which made it tricky.

Afterwards, they took us out for about 30 minutes which was great.

I know the snorkeling is sparse on Waikiki so everyone is going to the same spots. Something I wasn't used to.

Tip
Fins are a must. They don't provide them.

This trip to Hawaii was a three-generation adventure. The kids (ages 6 and 7) and my parents (both over 60) experienced snorkeling for the first time. Initially, I planned to go out to the reef alone, but after hearing Chieko's encouragement, we all decided to give it a try! In the end, only my sister, my nephew, and I made it out to the reef, but Chieko's heartfelt desire to show us something special really came through (tears). The group that went out to the reef was with Dan. Dan was incredibly kind and held my nephew's hand the whole way. Fortunately, we were able to see two large turtles. The only disappointing part was that my GoPro froze halfway through, so I couldn't capture the moments (tears). I really wanted to film us swimming together!!! I'll save that for next time. Thank you, Chieko and Dan, for all your help this time. I definitely want to ask for your assistance again. Thank you very much.

今回のハワイ旅行は三世代。子供（６歳と７歳）と両親（二人とも６０過ぎ）はシュノーケルが初体験。はじめは私だけが沖までいく予定でしたがチエコさんのお話を聞いて全員でトライすることに！結果、沖までいけたのは私と姉と甥っ子のみでしたが、チエコさんの「どうにか見せてあげたい！」というお気持ちがかなり伝わりました（泣）沖へ行く組はダンさんと一緒に。ダンさんもものすごく優しくて甥っ子の手をずっと引いて行ってくれました。ラッキーなことに大きな亀さんが二匹も見ることが出来ました。私のGOPROが途中でフリーズしてしまい撮影出来なかったことだけが残念です（泣）一緒に泳いだところを撮りたかった！！！それはまた次回のお楽しみにとっておきます。チエコさん、ダンさん今回はお世話になりました。また絶対にお願いしたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

I spent a lovely morning at Hanauma Bay with this tour. The driver was super friendly and the pick up from the hotel was easy. Recommend this to anyone.

I really enjoyed this afternoon out on the water off Honolulu. The crew are really friendly and the boat is well set out. Everything was easy and had a great time.

I was a bit anxious about participating alone, but the staff were very friendly, and I had a great time. The snorkeling was truly refreshing, and it was amazing to swim alongside a pod of dolphins. I also saw sea turtles swimming happily, and there were many beautifully colored fish; everything felt like a different world. I want to join again the next time I go to Hawaii!

一人参加だってので、少々不安もありましたが
スタッフのみなさんごとてもフレンドリーで、とても楽しめました。
シュノーケル、本当に気持ちよくて
泳いでるそばをイルカの群れも一緒に進んでくれて最高でした。
ホヌも気持ち良さそうに泳いでるいるし、色のキレイな魚たちもたくさんいて、何もかもが別世界のようでした。
次回ハワイに行ったらまた参加したいです‼

I participated on my honeymoon. The service from the staff was excellent, and I was very satisfied.
Particularly good points:
- I saw sea turtles and manta rays.
- The service from the staff was great.
- The sandwiches after snorkeling were delicious.

Captain Randy and crew were awesome. We went out on March 21 and had a blast. His team was very professional, and Doug was very thorough with us newby snuba divers.

Do not be afraid of this activity. First, the tour directors could not have been more friendly and helpful. Second, they could not have made it any easier. They picked us up at the lobby of the hotel, drove us to the bay, got us through the required orientation film and down to the water so efficiently. They have been doing this so long that they anticipated all of our needs (even before we realized that we had the need). Then, guided us into the water and instructed everyone on how to use the shorkle and made us all feel very comfortable. Even the 8 year old twins who are normally a handful. We were slowly guided around the bay and shown fish, eels and turtles. We stopped for pictures occasionally. And, told that we could download them from Facebook later that night.
When we were done, they gave us much needed water and snacks. Much needed because this was a good work out ( for a fat old guy). We got back to the van and were taken right back to our hotel and were the. Already trying to figure out when we could do the excursion again.
So, you don't have to worry about whether or not this is worth doing. And, it couldn't be easier or more enjoyable..

I was able to see many sea turtles up close, and the sandbar was very beautiful, so I was extremely satisfied. The weather was great, making it the perfect day! Since I had my 11-month-old son with me, I didn't participate in snorkeling, but we enjoyed taking photos in the shallow water. The sandwiches after getting in the water were also delicious.

ウミガメも近くでたくさん見れたし、サンドバーもとっても綺麗で大満足でした。

I participated in early January. It was a cold time with rough waves, so I was worried about seasickness and the cold, but I’m really glad I referred to the reviews. I wore a long-sleeve hoodie and took motion sickness medication the day before.

Most of the women who participated looked very uncomfortable due to seasickness. It seems essential to take motion sickness medication. I was able to see dolphins and sea turtles! I was also lucky enough to witness a whale jump, which is unique to this season, and the cruise in nature was very healing. The hamburger was delicious too! There was also a hula show by the crew, making it a very satisfying activity!

１月上旬に参加しました。寒く波も荒い時期でしたので、船酔いと寒さが心配でしたが、口コミを参考にして本当によかったです。長袖パーカーと酔い止めを前日から服用して参加しました。
参加した女性のほとんどが、船酔いでとても辛そうでした。酔い止めは必ず服用した方が良さそうです。イルカ、海亀をみることが出来ました！この時期ならではクジラのジャンプも運よく見れて、大自然の中のクルーズ癒されました。ハンバーガーも美味しかったです！クルーの方のフラショーもあり、大満足なアクティビティーでした！

The staff were all fun and friendly. At the sandbar, they were always attentive to us since we couldn't participate in beach volleyball, and they took many photos for us. The lunch hamburger was also substantial and very delicious! I was thrilled to see many honu and fish☆

I was in Hawaii for business but had a free morning. So I booked this trip as a solo traveler. I think I was the only solo person, everyone else were families. I felt a little odd b/c no one really talked to me, guides included. The guides were very good though - responsible and good intro speech. So happy that one of them found an octopus to touch (though I felt bad for the octopus). The turtles were adorable and came up to breathe very close to us snorkelers. Then we sailed around the bay for a bit which was lovely. I'm very happy I fit this excursion into my business trip.
I was a little unclear on tipping also - the fee said all gratuities included, so I didn't bring any cash. But the guides said to please feed the tip jar if satisfied. Which I was, but I hadn't planned on bringing cash to tip. So that was a little uncomfortable as I didn't want to look like I didn't enjoy myself - I truly did!

For the amount of money we paid my fiance and I were disappointed. The boat we took out was dirty and in my opinion not well maintained. We spent less than one hour actually "Snorkeling" and that is what I was hoping for the most. The crew was nice and helpful, but I think I would not recommend this to anyone for the amount of money they charge.

This tour was just above and beyond! Im not a beach person nor do I like swimming but this turtle snorkel just made me fall in love with the ocean. The captain and crew were great! They knew exactly how to keep everyone happy and safe! I see so many turtle, fishes and and octopus that the crew actually snatched and had us hold. I love this snorkel and will definitely be going back!

The weather was perfect on the day of our trip! We had to wade from the boat to the sandbar, and since we didn't bring our swimsuits, thinking we wouldn't be swimming, we were invited with, "The weather is great with no wind! It's really wonderful, so let's definitely go to the sandbar!" They even lent us wetsuits. My mother, who is in her 70s, was also moved and said, "I'm so glad we went!"

当日は天気にも恵まれ、最高でした！
船からサンドバーまで腰につからなければならず、最初から泳ぐ想定をせずに水着を持って行かなかった私たちに、『風もない天気もいい！すっごい素敵だからぜひサンドバー行こう！」と誘っていただき、ウェットスーツを貸してくれました。
70代の母も、『行って良かった！」と感動！

I participated with four friends.
We were worried about the weather, but we were blessed with great weather and had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed burgers for lunch on the boat while listening to a lovely live performance!
We also encountered many sea turtles, and everything was amazing! (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))

I was excited from the moment I got on the boat. The beach volleyball at the sandbar was intense, but that made the hamburgers for lunch taste even better! The snorkeling around the coral reef revealed sights I had never seen before, and I was thrilled to swim with turtles! I definitely want to go again! ((´∀｀))

船に乗った時点からワクワクでした、サンドバーに着いてからのビーチバレーは激しかったですがその分お昼のハンバーガーが美味しかったです！
サンゴ礁の周りをぐるり一周するシュノーケリングでは見たことない光景が広がり、亀と一緒に泳げて感動しました！

Great crew, great boat and lots of turtles. We were amazed how close to shore we were and how many turtles we saw. The turtles do not seem to be phased by the snorkelers and just hang around having their shells cleaned by the small reef fish. Fantastic to watch!
