The sandbar tour, which can only be seen at low tide, was wonderful thanks to the friendly staff, and we had a great time. The weather was nice, we got to see the sandbar, and we enjoyed swimming around the anchored boat, where we spotted natural sea turtles multiple times.

Additionally, we had a snorkeling plan included, but we ended up retiring from that. Instead, we were able to borrow kayaks and floats, and we also had the opportunity to experience stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Although it was for a short time, we also enjoyed cruising on the cruiser, so thank you for that.

Thanks to the staff's fun conversations and attentive service, we had a lovely time. I was thrilled by the colors of the sea that I've never seen before and the beautiful location. During snorkeling, I even got to see a sea turtle, and I had a blast paddleboarding.

What impressed me the most was how bright, fun, and friendly the staff were.

There are no changing rooms or showers, so it's best to go in clothes suitable for entering the water and just throw on something over your swimsuit for the return trip. I was a bit worried about that, but I didn't feel sticky or uncomfortable after getting out of the water.

It was a wonderful tour where I experienced the best of Hawaii's stunning location and the warmth of its people.

I’m really glad I chose this tour for my first snorkeling experience among various options! The two instructors were very experienced and taught us everything in great detail. It was also very reassuring to have instructions in Japanese. I decided to rent a wetsuit on the day, and they were very accommodating with that as well. Everyone participating in the tour was friendly and nice, making for a very enjoyable time. Thanks to this tour, I was able to learn how to breathe properly and clear my ears. We snorkeled from one end of Hanauma Bay to the other for an hour. Afterward, they explained where we swam by showing us an aerial view of Hanauma Bay, which was also moving. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any turtles, but I was able to see a lot of fish.

We had a great time snorkeling in Hanauma Bay with Blue Hawaii Divers. I am not a great swimmer, but our guide helped make me feel comfortable. I felt at ease even when we were out in deeper parts of the bay (~20 ft, I’d guess). We saw so many fish. Snorkeling is a must-do experience, and I think paying for a guided tour is worth it for their expertise and tips. We compared several guided snorkel options before booking this one, and we found this one to be the best value.
Just some other info: we met the group at Hanauma Bay rather than getting picked up, and it was easy to find the meetup spot. Everyone wears an inflatable life vest. The guides had water and chips for everyone after. They also took pictures with a GoPro during our snorkel activity, which were made freely available on the company’s Facebook page.

It seems that the encounter rate with sea turtles on this tour is high; they came close to us not only while snorkeling but also when we were in the shallow water. The timing was early November. It was cloudy with no sun, and it was cold. If there had been wind, I would have frozen to death. The tour guide said the sea was peaceful with almost no waves, but I still felt a bit seasick.

The biggest mistake was not considering the high tide times. (I think it would have been good to have a prior explanation when making the reservation.) I participated in the morning tour, but it coincided exactly with high tide, and even in shallow areas, the water was up to my chest. I couldn't walk on the sandy bottom as seen in the photos.

It was cold when I got in the water, and I felt seasick when I got back on the boat, so there was no escape. If there had been sandy areas, it would have been better...

We participated with our child! At first, my son was scared, but thanks to the staff, he ended up having a great time in the sea! They prepared a floating carpet on the water for the kids to play on, provided toys, and for those who didn't go snorkeling, they offered a small boat tour, making it a really enjoyable program! The food was delicious and fantastic too!

Above all, the staff was kind! We are grateful for their consideration in making sure both us and our child had fun! It was amazing to see sea turtles too!

We considered various Hanauma Bay tours and snorkeling by boat, but we chose this one because of its high ratings. Since it was just the four of us that day, our 6-year-old was taken out to the ocean, and we even got to see a honu! It was so lucky that it came up for air while we were watching it sleep. After a long time away from the ocean, I struggled with breathing through my mouth for an hour, but we had a special experience as a family! On the last day, I joined this tour to find a place to play in Honolulu in the morning. We took a boat from downtown Honolulu to a spot that wasn't too far away. Honestly, I thought it was a bit too close, but I was able to see at least three sea turtles! The water was a bit deep, so it wasn't incredibly clear, but the sea turtles were golden and divine! I participated with my 2-year-old daughter (free) and two friends. The shuttle bus had a mix of foreigners and Japanese, and the boat was exclusively for Japanese, so I felt very comfortable without any language barriers. The sea turtle came quite close, and my daughter was thrilled. At the Angel's Sea, we wore life jackets and enjoyed playing in the water together. The current was faster than I expected, so if you have small children, it might be wise to stay close to the boat.

We participated as a family of three with our 6-year-old child. There was a brief light rain on the day, but it stopped quickly, so there were no issues. Our tour had five participants, and the instructor led our son, who had a great time. In fact, our son monopolized the instructor, and I felt a bit sorry for the other two participants. At the beach, we saw a lot of beautiful fish.

This was our first experience with serious snorkeling, and everyone, including the child, was very satisfied with the content. The weather was somewhat cloudy that day, so it got a bit cold towards the end. I think wearing a wetsuit would help alleviate the cold and allow for a more enjoyable snorkeling experience.

インストラクターの方はとても優しく教えてくれていい方でした。

機会があればまた参加したいツアーです。

Last time I came to Hawaii, it was stormy at the sandbar, so this time I'm making a comeback at Hanauma. It's a calm place and close to the beach, so it's easy to take a break if you start feeling unwell. This time, one of my friends got seasick, so if you're prone to motion sickness, it might be a good idea to take some medication. Even if you don't go into the water, there are plenty of cute cats and mongooses around, which is very soothing! I definitely want to join again next time!

前回、ハワイ来た時のサンドバーでは、嵐だったので今回はハナウマでリベンジです。

Although the weather was unfortunate, I had a great time. After taking a bus from the nearest hotel and heading about 10 minutes by boat from the port, we arrived at a spot where the color of the sea was clearly different. When boarding the boat, you go barefoot or wear marine shoes, leaving flip-flops at the port.

There are containers under the seats on the boat for each group, similar to costume cases, so it was reassuring to keep our belongings in a vinyl bag and store them in the case. The boat also had a toilet and a roof, making it comfortable. Depending on the tide, when we went, the water level was just about at the height where you could reach or not when getting off the boat.

The snorkeling point had depth, and it seemed like they were feeding the fish, as there were many of them. We also saw several sea turtles. After enjoying snorkeling, there was a BBQ buffet. The meat was very tender and delicious. It was nice to have warm tea and coffee, which was great for our chilled bodies.

After lunch, we could enjoy activities like stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Since the number of SUP boards was limited, we had to wait our turn. I wished we had a bit more time for SUP. On the return bus, there were towels laid on the seats, making it comfortable even with wet bodies. There are no changing areas, so it might be a good idea to bring an extra rash guard or towel as a countermeasure against the bus's air conditioning.

着替える場所などはありませんので、バスの冷房対策としてラッシュやタオルを余分に持っていく等した方がいいかもしれません。
