Unfortunately, we encountered a day of heavy rain. Many people got off the shuttle bus from the hotel without umbrellas and boarded the boat. The air conditioning was strong, and we were shivering in our wet clothes. They temporarily turned off the air conditioning after seeing us, but it was soon turned back on. The sea outside was also rough, making it quite challenging.

As for the whales, there was an announcement about their direction, but unfortunately, we couldn't see any and received replacement tickets. My friend who got seasick probably won't go again! (laughs) However, I think the tour itself isn't bad, as weather and whale sightings are a matter of luck.

あいにくの大雨の日に当たってしまいました。ホテルから送迎バスを降りて、傘を持ってなかった人も多くて船に乗り込みました。
冷房が強くて、濡れた服を着た私達は震えてました。その様子を見て一旦冷房を止めてくれたのですが、すぐに再開。外の海も荒れていたので、なかなか辛かったです。
肝心の鯨は、何時の方向にいるとアナウンスが入るのですが、残念ながら見られずに振替チケットをもらいました。
船酔いした友達はもう行く事はないかな？（笑）
でも、天気も鯨も運なので、ツアー自体は悪くないと思います。

Since I participated during the rainy season, it couldn't be helped, but it was cold and difficult due to the rain. A raincoat or parka is absolutely necessary.

However, the captain and staff were very considerate, and the Mai Tai we had on board was delicious. They also generously served champagne. It was tasty.

On the way back, we were lucky to see the sunset from the western horizon. It was moving. I definitely want to participate again when the weather is nice.

カッパやパーカーは絶対に必要です。

ただ、船長は始めスタッフに皆さんの気遣いや船上で飲むマイタイは旨いです。シャンパンも大判振る舞いで出してくれました。
美味しかったですよ。
帰りがけに西の水平線からサンセットがラッキーに見えました。
感動しました。
また天気の良い時に是非参加したいですね。

Considering the winter activities, how was it? I participated knowing that visibility might be limited, but I was really disappointed because I could only see a small glimpse of the whales far away, and it wasn't clear enough to capture a photo. Although the whales were hard to see, I thought it might not be a bad tour if I considered it as a walk on the boat.

冬ならではのアクティビティのわりには、いかがなものでしょうか。
見えない場合もあるのは承知の上、参加しましたが、
本当に遠くに小さく、一瞬見えただけで、とても写真におさめることもできず、肉眼ではっきりみえたわけでもないので、がっかりですね。
ホエールは見えにくかったけれど、船の船上散歩と考えれば、悪くないツアーかな？？？と思いました。

Great crew, lots of drinks, awesome photo opportunities of the sunset and Waikiki. We even saw a whale.

You can see a different view of the Waikiki hotels and Diamond Head from the sea. Enjoying a toast while watching the sunset can be an amazing experience, especially if the weather is nice. The staff varies each time, and their service can depend on their personality, so it can be hit or miss. It's a bit disappointing that the background music isn't Hawaiian, but rather upbeat rock that the staff prefers.

There were about 40 people on the tour, including two groups of us (four people). The yacht hardly swayed, so I don't think there's any worry about seasickness. Cocktails were poured from a large bottle, and with the excitement, I ended up having three refills. We even spotted whales offshore, and the sunset was amazing. I also made friends with a family of four from Australia. The two hours flew by. I definitely want to participate again next time.

日本人は私たち含め2組（4人）計40人ぐらいのツアーでした。ヨットの揺れはほとんどなく、船酔いの心配はいらないと思います。大きなボトルからカクテルがそそがれ、盛り上がりとともに3杯もお替りしてしまいました。クジラも沖に見えサンセットも最高でした。オーストラリアの4人家族とも仲良くなりました。あっという間の2時間でした。次回もぜひ参加したい。

I participated thinking it would be a Valentine's gift. As others mentioned, there were many foreign participants (mostly from Europe and America), and there were fewer Asians, but I actually enjoyed the overseas atmosphere even more because of that.

All the explanations were in English, but I had no trouble at all. The captain and staff were very friendly, making jokes to entertain the guests and engaging in conversation, creating a very welcoming atmosphere!

On the day of the tour, it was unusually rainy in Hawaii, and with strong winds, we could hardly see the sunset, which is the highlight of the tour. The waves were a bit high, so some guests who were not good on boats felt unwell. (The staff's response at that time was quick and left a good impression.) I’m not very good on boats either, but I managed to be okay. In the end, just as the sun was setting, the clouds parted slightly, allowing us to see a beautiful sunset, which was very moving. It was a memorable moment.

You can take wonderful photos on the boat and enjoy the scenery, so I recommend this for those looking for a gift or a memorable experience like I was!

バレンタインのプレゼントに…と思って参加しました。他の方が言っていた通り、外国の方の参加率が多く（しかも欧米の方が多い）、アジア人は少なめではありますが、逆にその方が私は海外気分をより味わえて良かったです。
説明も全て英語でしたが、困ることはありませんでした。キャプテン、スタッフの方がとても気さくな方なので、お客さんをジョークで笑わせたり、一緒に話をしたりして、とてもフレンドリーな雰囲気でした！
当日はハワイ では珍しく一日中雨で、風も強かったため、ツアーの醍醐味であるサンセットがほとんど見られず、波も少し高かったので、船に弱い方が体調を崩されてました。（その時のスタッフの対応は迅速で好印象でした。）私もあまり船は得意ではないのですが、何とか大丈夫でした。最後、本当に陽が落ちる時、わずかに雲が切れてくれて、とても綺麗な夕日を見ることが出来、とても感動しました。思い出に残るワンシーンでした。
船上でステキな写真も撮れるし、景色も見られるし、私のようにプレゼントや何かの記念になるオプションを探している方にオススメです！

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I enjoyed it more than I anticipated. The customer service was also polite, and the staff were cheerful. Plus, I was able to see the whales up close. It was the best trip ever.

正直、あんまり期待してなかったが、予想以上に楽しめた。接客対応も丁寧で、スタッフさんが明るい。そして、クジラもとっても近くで見ることができた。
最高の旅でした。

The staff really got everyone excited, and although there were no other Japanese people besides us, we had a great time with the other passengers (mostly Westerners)!

It was quite cold, so I wish I had dressed warmly for the event.

スタッフが、とても盛り上げてくれて、日本人は私達以外見当たらなかったけど、他の同乗者(殆ど欧米人)とも楽しく過ごせて、良かった！

結構寒かったので、しっかり防寒して参加すれば良かった。

We wanted to see the sunset in Hawaii, so we booked a sunset cruise.
It was great to spend a wonderful time enjoying drinks and good music.

ハワイの夕日を見たくて、サンセットクルーズを予約しました。
お酒を飲みながら、音楽もいい感じで、とても素敵な時間を過ごす事が出来て良かったです。

I took the city bus to Aloha Tower Marketplace (the meeting place). Right next to Aloha Tower Marketplace, there is a boat docked, and the reception is right in front of it. The office opens at 8 AM, but since we arrived early, the reception wasn't open yet, which caused a bit of confusion. For those making their way to the meeting place on their own, I think using the boat next to Aloha Tower Marketplace as a landmark is a good idea.

As soon as we boarded the boat at 8 AM, there was a bit of time (about 45 minutes) before departure. We didn't eat, but you can have breakfast on board.

As for the whales, we were able to see them. When a whale is spotted, the staff will indicate the direction based on the time on the clock. You can see the direction they point to, or others will point as well, so we were able to see the whales multiple times.

However, whales dive quickly, and depending on the location, they can only be seen from a distance, so I recommend bringing a DSLR camera if you have one.

市バス（The Bus)を使って、アロハタワーマーケットプレイス（集合場所）まで行きました。
アロハタワーマーケットプレイスのすぐ横に船が止まっており、その目の前が受付になります。
8時から事務所が開くのですが、私たちは早めに着いていたので、受付が開いておらず少し迷いました。
集合場所まで自力で行く方は、アロハタワーマーケットプレイスすぐ横の船を目印にしたらいいと思います。

8時にすぐに船に乗り込むと、出航までは少し時間（45分ぐらい）があります。私たちは食べませんでしたが、船内で朝食をとることもできます。

肝心のぐじらですが、見ることができました。クジラが見えるとスタッフの方が時計の時間で方向を教えてくれます。その方向を見るか、他の方が一斉に指をさすので何度もくじらを見ることができました。

但し、くじらはすぐに潜ってしまうのと、場所によっては遠くからしか見えないので、一眼レフカメラを持っている方は、持っていくことをお勧めします。

I was very satisfied to see the night view of Waikiki and the fireworks from Hilton!
I think the stars are beautiful on clear days!
The day I participated was a bit cloudy, but even so, the stars were beautifully visible through the gaps in the clouds.

However, the boat was quite rocky, and I got a little seasick.
I think those who are prone to motion sickness should take some medication.

それでも雲の隙間から星が綺麗に見えました。

しかし、船の揺れが強く少し船酔いしてしまいました。
酔いやすい方は酔い止めを飲まれた方がいいと思います。

The captain told us, and we were able to see the whale's tail perfectly! There was no rocking, and the wind felt really nice.

船長さんが教えてくれて、クジラのしっぽをバッチリ見ることができました！揺れもなくて、風がとても気持ち良かったです。

The crew on this sunset sail was so fun an energetic. Boat was beautiful and was definitely a must do!

Breakfast is good and we saw probably 5-8 whales!! Highly recommend during whale season

I was looking forward to seeing whales, but in the end, I only saw a little bit of a tail far away towards the end of the cruise. The tour company might consider that a success, but I wonder if that's really enough to say we saw whales... Honestly, I was disappointed.

クジラを見るのを楽しみに行きましたが、結局、クルーズ終盤に遠くに少しだけテールが見えたのみ。催行会社としては、あれでも見れた、となるのでしょうが、あれで見れたとするのばいかがなものかと、、、。正直がっかりでした。

I participated at the beginning of February. I had heard that it would be cold on the sea, but although there was some wind, it wasn't that cold. The boat rocked a bit, but it wasn't enough to make me feel seasick, and my mother, who is in her 80s, was very happy. The crew also asked about drinks and made the experience enjoyable. I would like to participate again.

２月始めに参加しました。海の上は、寒いと聞いていましたが、風はありましたが、それほど寒くなかった。船も揺れましたが、酔うほどではなく、８０台の母もたいへん喜んでくれました。
乗員の方も、飲み物などを聞いてくれて、楽しく乗れました。
また、参加したいです。

The number of passengers is about 40 to 50, mostly foreigners. When we boarded, there were only three groups of Japanese, including us.

All explanations and announcements after boarding are in English, but even for someone like me who struggles with English, I could somewhat grasp the atmosphere and understood that they were explaining the ship's features and safety instructions with a bit of humor.

After departure, we had about two hours of free time to enjoy meals and drinks, take in the scenery, and take photos. Initially, many people focused on getting food and ordering drinks, but after a while, the atmosphere on the ship settled down. The staff came around to take drink orders, took photos, and later brought around desserts. As we approached the time for fireworks, the staff provided guidance (all in English), and everyone moved to the deck to enjoy the fireworks from prime spots.

After the fireworks ended, we returned to the dock, marking the end of the dinner sailing.

As noted in the guidelines, "the dress code is casual," which made me wonder how casual it really was. I think wearing a T-shirt, shorts, and sandals is perfectly fine. As mentioned in other people's experiences, you need to take off your shoes before boarding. In reality, you remove your shoes on land and place them in a large basket, then walk a little on asphalt to board the ship. Most people took off their socks when removing their shoes, so I recommend wearing sandals from the start. Also, since shoes are placed directly in the basket without bags, if you're concerned, it might be best to avoid expensive or brand-name shoes.

Regarding the food, it was a buffet as listed on the menu. The ship swayed quite a bit, so I couldn't eat a full meal and ended up just having light snacks. For drinks, each person received two alcohol tickets, but honestly, it felt like you could drink as much as you wanted (though this might have only been the case on the day we participated).

Depending on the weather, the ship can sway quite a lot due to being on the sea. If you're worried at all, I recommend taking motion sickness medication. I tend to get motion sickness easily, so I took medication before boarding. To avoid seasickness, I kept my meal light, opted for soft drinks, and thanks to the medication, I was able to enjoy the entire experience without feeling sick.

Overall, true to the tour's name, I was able to enjoy the sunset and fireworks while feeling the pleasant breeze on the sea, creating wonderful memories. The staff were friendly and very nice. However, considering the atmosphere on the ship and the variety of food, I think the price is quite high. Honestly, I found myself justifying the cost with reasons like "it's a family trip" or "we're in Hawaii," trying to convince myself that the price was reasonable.

乗船人数はだいたい40～50名程度でほとんどが外国人の方です。私たちが乗船したときは、私たちを含め日本人は3組でした。
乗船後の説明・案内等は全て英語ですが、英語が苦手な私でもなんとなく雰囲気で船内の説明や注意事項を冗談交じりで説明しているんだなぁということがわかりました。
出発後は、食事やドリンクを受け取り食事をしたり、景色を眺めたり、写真を撮ったり、2時間くらい自由な時間を過ごす感じです。最初は食事を取りに行く方やドリンクを注文しに行く方が集中しますが、少し時間が経つと船内の中が落ち着き、スタッフの方がドリンクの注文を聞いてまわってくれたり、写真を撮ってくれたり、後半にはデザートを持ってまわってくれました。出発から2時間くらいが経って花火の時間が近づくとスタッフの方が案内をしてくれ（全て英語です）、全員デッキへ移動して特等席で花火を見ることが出来ます。
花火終了後は乗り場まで戻り、ディナーセーリング終了という流れです。

ご注意・ご案内の欄にも記載ある通り、“ドレスコードはカジュアルです”となっているため、どの程度のカジュアルなのかとても悩みましたが、Ｔシャツ・短パン・サンダル等のラフな格好で問題ないと思います。他の方々の体験談にも記載のとおり、船内は靴を脱いで乗船となります。実際は、船を乗る前に、陸のところで靴を脱ぎ大きなカゴみたいなところに靴を入れて、船のところまでアスファルトの上を少し歩き、乗船します。靴下等を履いている場合は、靴を脱ぐ際に一緒に靴下を脱いでいる方がほとんどでしたので、最初からサンダルで行くことをお勧めします。また、靴は袋等に入れることなくカゴの中にそのまま入れるため、もし気になる方がいれば高級な靴やブランド靴は控えたほうが良いかと思います。

料理については、メニューに記載されている内容のビュッフェでした。船が大変揺れますので、私はしっかり食事を取ることはできず、おつまみのような軽食を食べるのみになってしまいました。
ドリンクについては、アルコールチケット1人2枚までもらえますが、正直あまり関係なく何杯でも飲めるような感じでした。（私たちが参加した日だけかもしれませんが）

天候にもよると思いますが、海の上のため、船はかなり揺れます。少しでも心配な方は酔い止め薬を飲むことをお勧めします。私は乗り物酔いをしやすいため、乗船前に薬を飲んでから参加しました。船酔いだけは避けたかったため、食事も軽めに済ませ、ドリンクもソフトドリンクにし、薬を飲んだかいもあり（？）、船酔いすることなく最後まで楽しめました。

全体を通して、ツアー名通り、海の上で心地よい風を感じながらサンセットと花火鑑賞を楽しむことができ、良い思い出となりました。スタッフの方々は気さくでとても良い方ばかりです。
ただ、それにしても船内の感じや料理の種類等からすると値段が高すぎるかと思います。“家族旅行だから”“せっかくハワイまで行ったから”等の理由を無理やりつけて、この値段で納得するようにしているのが正直なところです。

There were relatively many foreigners, and the atmosphere was very nice. At first, I thought it looked more like a raft than the ship I had imagined, but the music and scenery were amazing. The system for getting drinks was self-service, but I was able to drink to my satisfaction. The captain found the dolphins and took us close to see a large group of them. The sunset was also incredibly beautiful, and I was moved. I definitely want to participate again when I go to Hawaii.

比較的外人さんが多く、とても雰囲気も良かったです。初めは、想像していた船とは違ってイカダ？みたいだなぁと思いましたが音楽も景色も最高でした。お酒も自分で取りに行く制度でしたが、満足のいくほど飲めました。また、船長さんがイルカの場所を見つけて近づいて行ってくださり大群が見れました。夕日もとても綺麗に見えて感動しました。またハワイに行ったらぜひ参加したいです。

There were many comments saying that there were hardly any Japanese people, but when I participated, there were a few groups. I was the only one attending alone, so it felt lonely. The Japanese couple nearby seemed to speak English and looked like they were having a great time with the foreigners, which made me envious. The sunset from the boat was incredibly beautiful and became a great memory on the last day! But I think I don't want to go alone next time, haha.

日本人がほとんどいないというコメントが多かったんですが、私が参加した時は何組かいました。
1人参加が私だけでしたのでやっぱり寂しかったです。近くにいた日本人夫婦は英語が話せたようで外国の方たちとすごく楽しそうでうらやましかったです。
船からのサンセットはすごく綺麗で最終日にいい思い出になりました！
けど次は1人は嫌だと思いました笑

It was tough getting up early, but the ship was luxurious and there was an explanation in Japanese, which was great. However, I suffered from severe seasickness. My friend, who didn't get seasick, said they only saw the whale's tail. The staff were very accommodating, and the person in the hall showed us a video of the whale when it appeared on their phone! This time, I chose not to have breakfast, but the food looked delicious, and I was able to add it for $13 per person.

朝早くからで大変でしたが、船が豪華で日本語での説明もあり、よかったです。ただ、船酔いが酷かったです。船酔いしなかった友人はクジラのしっぽだけは見れたと言ってました。スタッフさんの対応が良く、ホールの方のケータイでクジラが現れた時の動画を見せていただきました！今回、朝食なしを選択したのですが、周りの人が食べているのが美味しそうで1人13ドルで追加できました。

My husband and I elected for the Appetizer Cruise option on the Fireworks night (Friday). The Majestic was a solid, stable boat with seating and standing / inside and outside options. Additional drinks were reasonably priced and the buffet appetizers were tasty. The evening entertainers (two musicians and a Hula dancer) were terrific.

Given that this cruise is only on Fridays I booked it from home before leaving, which also gave us something to look forward to in advance, thiugh later learned that some folks were able to secure a spot a few days before. For the price, thus is MUST! I will forever remember watching the fireworks from the ocean with the backdrop of Waikiki hotels all aglow....

This was my second time participating, and it was just as great as before. There was music playing on the boat, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Plus, there was an all-you-can-drink option. I highly recommend it. By the way, this is the same boat that the members were on in the final episodes of the Hawaii season of Terrace House.

2度目の参加でしたが、相変わらずよかったです。船では音楽も流れていて、とても雰囲気がいいです。更にはお酒も飲み放題。
とてもおすすめです。
ちなみにテラハのハワイ編終盤で、メンバーが乗ってたやつです。

The weather was mild, and there were no waves, making it a perfect day. About 20 minutes after departure, we spotted a whale and spent the rest of the time following it. The whale seemed relaxed, and we could see it spouting water every 10 to 15 minutes as it breathed. I'm glad we got to see the whale.

気候がおだやか、かつ、波もない、おそらく絶好の日でした。
出港後20分くらいでクラジを1尾発見し、その1尾をずっと追いかける形でした。そのクジラはリラックスしているようで呼吸する度(10ー15分)に潮吹きなどしているのが見えました。クジラが見れてよかったです。

First of all, the tour company did nothing wrong. On the contrary, I found their smooth operation and progress to be quite favorable.

Perhaps my expectations for whale watching were too high or my imagination ran wild. During the approximately one-and-a-half-hour cruise, we only saw a distant spout once and a dolphin jump once. While we did see something, I had imagined seeing a large tail up close or multiple whales swimming, so I felt a bit disappointed.

However, this is something that depends on luck. Overall, the tour itself received a high rating.

まずツアー会社は何も悪くありません。
むしろスムーズな運営、進行をされており好感が持てました。

ホエールウォッチングに対しての理想というか想像が膨らみすぎていたのかもしれません。
約1時間半のクルーズで、見えたのが遠くでの潮吹き1回とイルカのジャンプ1回でした。
見れたといえば見れたのですが、もっとこう間近で大きな尻尾が見えたり何頭ものクジラが泳ぐ様子を想像していただけに少し残念な気持ちでした。

ただこればっかりは時の運もあるのでしょう。
ツアー自体の評価は高かったです。

As the reviews mentioned, there were many international guests, and only two groups of Japanese people, including us. This made it feel less like being away from home, and everyone was friendly and cheerful. There are restrooms available, but they are the typical ones found on boats. I thought we would only be able to see the sunset, but to my surprise, we encountered a whale!!! As soon as we spotted it, the captain quickly changed our course towards the whale, and we were able to see it multiple times! Drinks were served promptly, and it felt great to see Waikiki from the sea♪

クチコミ通り、海外の方が多く、日本人は私たち含め２組だけでした。
それではアウェイ感はなく、皆様フレンドリーでわきあいあい。
トイレはありますが、よくある船のトイレです。
夕日を観られるだけかと思いきや、まさかのクジラに遭遇！！！しかも見つけた瞬間キャプテンはすぐに航路をクジラへと変えてくださり、何度も見ることができました！
ドリンクもすぐに提供してくださいますし、ワイキキを海から見るのもまた良い気分でした♪

The weather forecast in Hawaii is not reliable!! The rain forecast turned out to be "clear skies," and there were no waves, making the boat ride comfortable. We saw the humpback whales' spouts and tails many times, and each time, the passengers erupted in applause. The boat was large and stable. I appreciate the crew for their excellent hospitality. I made a web reservation with Veltra on-site, and their quick response was a great help. I was able to board safely.

ハワイの天気予報は、あてになりませんね！！　雨の予報が「快晴」、しかも波はなく船も快適でした。
何度も、ザトウクジラの汐吹と尾びれの姿が見られそのたびに乗船客の拍手がやみませんでした。
船は大きく安定していました。
クルーの方々、最高のもてなしに感謝します。
ベルトラさん、現地でWEB予約しましたが素早い対応で助かりました。無事に乗船できました。

I was able to see a pod of dolphins in addition to the whales! It was amazing to see Diamond Head as well! I would love to go again if I have the chance.

Third Mai Tai cruise and once again did not disappoint. First was the Sunset in 2016, Fireworks 2017 and Fireworks again 2018 !! Had a great time, drinks were fabulous as were the staff... See you again in 2019 !!!!
