My first sunset catamaran experience. The views of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and the horizon from the boat were all amazing! We even happened to see a whale, and everyone got excited pointing it out. The sunset was incredibly beautiful. However, the $24 for the photo taken before boarding the boat felt a bit pricey... I didn't buy it.

初めてのサンセットカタマラン。船上から見るワイキキ、ダイヤモンドヘッド、水平線。どれも最高でした！偶然にもクジラにも出会えて他の方たちとあっちだこっちだと盛り上がりました。サンセットは最高にキレイでした。 ただ、船に乗る前に撮ってくれた写真が$24はちと高いかな。。買いませんでした。

We didn't see any whales at first, and while we were enjoying the scenery, saying to my child, "Looks like there are no whales," we encountered a group of about three whales!

We got to see a whale jump right at the beginning! We also saw plenty of spouts and tails! My child was so excited, and I really felt it was worth participating!

We discovered them about 15 minutes before returning to port, so we ended up coming back quite late, but we were very satisfied!

くじらが全然現れず、船内で振替チケットのアナウンスがあり、全然くじらおらんなぁ～、と子どもと言いながら諦めて景色を楽しんでいた途中にくじらの群れ３つくらいに遭遇しました！

初っ端にくじらのジャンプを見られました☆
潮吹きも、しっぽもいっぱい見られました☆
子どもが大興奮で、参加して本当に良かったなーと思いました！

帰港する１５分くらい前に発見したので、帰港するのはだいぶ遅くなりましたが、大満足でした！

Unfortunately, since it was with animals, I knew I couldn't expect a 100% success rate, but I was disappointed not to encounter any. I persevered on the deck despite the strong winds and rain. However, I was able to enjoy the endless horizon and the beautiful rainbow, as well as the sense of freedom on the deck. If I had more time in my schedule, I would have liked to try again since I received a re-boarding ticket.

いかんせん、動物相手ですから100%の確率は望めないのはわかっていましたが、遭遇成らずガッカリ。
強風や雨にも負けず、デッキで粘ったのですが。
ただ、どこまでも続く水平線と綺麗な虹、デッキでの開放感は満喫できました。
日程に余裕があれば、最乗船チケットをもらったので再チャレンジしたかったです。

I had previously taken a cruise on Kauai, but at that time, I could only see a glimpse of the whales in the distance. Compared to that, I was satisfied to see some spouting and a bit of the tail up close this time. However, my companion, who was on their first cruise, seemed disappointed because they expected to see the whales jumping high enough to see their upper bodies.

以前、カウアイ島でクルーズを利用したことがあったのですが、その際は遠くのほうに少し見えただけでした。それに比べると、船の近くで潮吹きや尾びれが少し見えたので、満足しましたが、同行の初めてクルーズを利用した人はクジラが上半身見えるくらいジャンプするところを見えると思ったらしく、残念がっていました。

Epic is the word that comes to mind. We had the best time. It was more than we had anticipated. We have lived here for 11 years and this was our first time sailing with the Star Of Honolulu. The 5 Star dinner cruise with Live Jazz made our 14th anniversary that much more special. From the warm reception, meeting and greeting the Captain, the Ono pupu’s to the amazing 7 course meal and top notched entertainment we felt like royalty. You can’t beat the amazing sunset and whale sightings either. If you are looking to celebrate or just relax and take in the sights the Star Of Honolulu is definitely the thing to do.
We had a great and memorable time from start to finish. Mahalo Star Of Honolulu .

My husband and I had a spectacular time on this 5 star dinner cruise. We've lived here for 11 years and this was our first time experiencing the elegance and absolute superb 5 star dinning experience the Star of Honolulu offers. From start to finish everything was spectacular. We were treated like VIP's. We were greeted and warmly escorted to the boat where we partook of some extremely delectable pupu's while being serenaded by a Polynesian dancer and ukulele player. We were also introduced to the Captain of the ship and was afforded a photo op with him. As the evening progressed the boat set sail and the 7 course meal did not disappoint. We ate until our belly's were super tight. Did I mention the majestic sunset we watched from our window seats? Simply amazing! We also enjoyed the top shelf drinks that were apart of the menu. But not to worry if you are not an alcohol drinker there are many non-alcohol drinks to choose from.
This dinner cruise truly exceeded our expectations and we would wholeheartedly recommend the 5 star experience especially for that very special occasion. Its the perfect way to celebrate. It's kid friendly too. Mahalo Star of Honolulu for a very memorable anniversary! #14yrs

This cruise was a nice boat ride. All employees were friendly, welcoming and pleasant. The shuttle ride to the boat was on time and information shared by employees was clear. The buffet dinner was average. It seemed to take a while for serving dishes to be refilled and there was a shortage of utensils. The cruising of the boat was lovely, ample time to observe the sunset, fireworks. The major negative would be only two restrooms available for everyone. The live music was well done and very enjoyable.

The thrill of watching the fireworks from the sea on Friday was amazing!

However, the time spent anchored on the water was quite long and felt stretched out. I also think the Star of Honolulu cruise ship is better.

しかしながら、海上に停泊する時間が長くて間延びしてしまいますね(^_^;)
あとクルーズ船についてはスターオブホノルルの方が良いと思います。

Since my child is small and unable to enjoy activities like snorkeling, we participated in a whale watching tour. There are many comments about not seeing whales on this tour, and unfortunately, we were no exception. However, the weather was nice, and when we went out on deck, the breeze felt pleasant. The view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach from the sea was quite lovely, and I thought it was worth participating at this price.

子供が小さくて、シュノーケリングなどのアクティビティが楽しめないので、ホエールウォッチングに参加しました。クジラが見えないというコメントも多々見られるこのツアーですが、ご他聞にもれず見ることができませんでした。しかしながら、天気が良く甲板にでると風が気持ちよく、海から見るダイヤモンドヘッドやワイキキビーチもなかなか良いものであり、この値段なら参加価値はあるかナと思いました。

We took our grandchildren on the Star of Honolulu whale watching cruise. Unfortunately the whales were elsewhere and not a single one was spotted. That certainly did not stop us from having a wonderful time. The day was beautiful, the boat comfortable, the staff very informative and friendly. The wonderful bonus, because there were no whales spotted, we have been given a return voucher good for anytime this whale watching season. A great value and will go again!

The night view and fireworks were beautiful and amazing. The all-you-can-drink menu was also rich with options like beer, champagne, and Mai Tai! I want to participate again.

夜景も花火も綺麗で最高でした。飲み放題のメニューもビールやシャンパンやマイタイ等豊富でした！また参加したいです。

Since it was my first winter trip to Hawaii in a while, I signed up for whale watching. Although I didn't see any whales, I did see rainbows twice. I was also moved to encounter a large pod of dolphins. I believe it was likely due to the tour company's consideration that they changed the course for us.

久しぶりの冬のハワイ旅行だったのでホエールウォッチングに申し込みました。
ホエールは見れなかったのですが、レインボーが2回。
あとイルカの大群に会え感動しました。
恐らくツアー会社の方の計らいでコースを変更してくださったのではないかと思っています。

I had an amazing time! The Mai Tai was delicious, and the staff were great at getting everyone excited! Above all, the sunset was beautiful, and we even saw a whale! There were three groups of Japanese and one Korean family, and we were able to blend in with the Westerners without feeling out of place! Everyone shared their seats, and we were able to take photos at the stunning viewpoint! This was my fourth time in Hawaii, and I will definitely participate again next time.

最高に楽しかったですマイタイも美味しく、staffも盛り上げ上手でした‼
何より夕日が綺麗で　おまけにクジラも現れました❗　日本人も３組　韓国人家族も1組おりそんなに違和感なく欧米人の中に溶け込む事が出来ました❗　皆で席を譲り合って絶景pointの撮影も撮ることが出来ました❗
４回目のハワイですが　次回も参加します

I couldn't see any whales, but that's just how nature is, so there's nothing to be done about it. However, they said they would distribute tickets for the next time, yet there was no further information provided. It feels bad to get the impression that they think, "They're just tourists, so they won't come back." If that's the case, they shouldn't have said anything from the beginning.

Alternatively, they need to come up with some creative pricing strategies for cruises, like the icebreaker boats in Hokkaido, otherwise, it gives off a feeling of being left hanging because it's a foreign country. I wanted to see whales, but I should have gone to Okinawa instead. What a shame. The tour company really needs to think this through.

鯨に会えなかったの自然任せだからしょうがないけど、次回のチケット配ると言いながら、何も案内なし。
「旅行客だから、もう来ないだろう」みたいな感じが気分悪い。
それなら、初めから言わなきゃいいのに。
または北海道の流氷船みたいに、クルーズの場合の料金設定をする等の工夫しないと、異国だから的なやりっぱなし感広がるよ。
鯨見たかったけど、沖縄にすればよかった。
残念。
ツアー会社も考えなきゃダメよ。

This time, we were unable to encounter any whales. Our schedule was packed during this trip, so we couldn't take advantage of the reboarding guarantee. Our next trip is planned for October, which is the off-season, but if we have another opportunity, we'll try again!

今回は、クジラに遭遇することが出来ませんでした。
今回の旅行では、日程も詰まっていたので、再乗船の保証も利用できず、次回の予定は１０月なので、シーズンオフ、また機会があれば再挑戦！

The weather wasn't very good, and we couldn't see any whales at all. The constant chatter in English became increasingly annoying, and when it was clear there were no whales, they even started making up false claims like "Look, something at 5 o'clock!" It turned into the worst way to pass the time. While it's understandable since we are dealing with nature, it was truly disappointing! I was really let down.

お天気もあまり良くなく全くクジラは観ることができませんでした。
しゃべりっぱなしの英語の声がだんだん煩わしく耳障りになり、クジラがいないとわかるとわざと5時の方向に何かが！みたいな嘘の煽りまでする始末で最悪の時間つぶしになりました。自然が相手なので仕方ないとはいえ本当に残念！がっかりでした。

This time, since there were four of us, we didn't use the shuttle service and took a taxi instead. It was just a little over $15, maybe not even $20.

I've participated before, but this time I was able to see it up close. I enjoyed being able to view Waikiki Beach from the sea, and it felt like a mix of whale watching and cruising. We even saw a rainbow, which was amazing.

今回は友人と４人だったので、送迎付きにせずタクシーで向かいました。
１５＄ちょっとだったかな？２０＄もかからないです。

以前にも参加したことがあるのですが、今回は間近で見れました。
ワイキキビーチを海から眺めることができて、ホエールウォッチングとクルージングみたいな感じで楽しめました。虹も見れて最高でした。

i bought this as a gift for a family holiday, we had the best time on board and the crew were amazing!

We even managed to see 2 whales!

I arranged a surprise vow renewal for my parents who are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. I was nervous about whether it would be successful, but the crew member who spoke Japanese skillfully guided us by saying, "Shall we watch the sunset from the deck with a great view?" We were able to hold the ceremony safely in front of the captain. Since there were many guests, we were originally supposed to have a table in the center, but I was thrilled that they secured a table by the window for us. The view from the ship and the onboard show were both wonderful, and I believe it became a lifelong memory for my parents. Thank you very much!

金婚式を迎える両親に、サプライズとしてバウ・リニューアルを申し込みました。成功するかどうかドキドキでしたが、日本語のできる乗務員さんが「眺めのよいデッキで夕陽を見ませんか」とうまく誘導してくださり、キャプテンの前で無事セレモニーを行うことができました。席も人数が多いのでセンターテーブルの予定だったのが、窓際のテーブルを確保していただき感激です。船からの眺めも船内のショーも素晴らしく、両親にとっても一生の思い出になったと思います。ありがとうございました！

We had a thoroughly delightful evening. We had the all you can eat crab and purchased 1 bottle of wine.
The show was lovely and enthusiastically done. The tour and the meal was very well organized. This is a must do in Honolulu...

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the sailing adventure! The staff was funny and helped make it a great time with lots of laughs. We went with the all-you-can-drink option for a little extra and it was a great choice. Sail lasted an hour and a half which was plenty of time to drink enough to make it worth it. We enjoyed it so much that as soon as we got off the sail we went right up to the check-in umbrella and signed up for another sail the next day.

A full capacity of 49 passengers on board, with 7 Japanese people. There was all-you-can-drink beer, champagne, and cocktails. The fireworks were also well visible. Since there were no snacks provided, we brought our own.

I attended with my husband and a friend.
We had guaranteed window seats on the second floor, with a jazz live performance.
Since the floor is small, we were able to enjoy both the hula and the performance up close!
There were a few Japanese people as well.
This floor had a dress code, creating an elegant atmosphere, and we had a wonderful time with delicious food and champagne.
We enjoyed the fireworks on the terrace of the top floor!
The only disappointment was forgetting the photos we had purchased when disembarking.

Every year, I spend New Year's in Hawaii. I usually watch the New Year's fireworks from the beach, but this time I saw them from a boat for the first time, and I was moved by the combination of the night view and the fireworks!!! I want to sign up again for next year.

毎年、ハワイで年末年始を過ごします。
いつもはビーチから年越し花火を見ますが、
今回は初めて船から見て、夜景と花火のコラボに感動しました！！！
また来年も申し込みたいと思っています。

The cruise was fun. We had an amazing time on the boat with a funny crew. The tour is the money worth and I can recommend it.

There were three adults and three children (ages 7, 5, and 1). We were able to check in without any crowding, and the crew's service was good, just like last time. However, the main attraction, the whales, were only spotted about three times from a distance, with just their spouts and backs visible. It seemed that the children didn't find it very interesting. The adults might be satisfied with the views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea, but it seems the children would have preferred something more engaging. However, I think they would have been excited if we could have seen the whales up close.

大人三人と、子供三人（7.5.1歳）混み合うことも無く受付を済ませクルーの対応も、前回同様良かったのです。しかし、肝心のクジラは、船から離れた地点て、クジラの潮吹きと背中が3回程確認できたレベルでしたので、子供達には、あまり面白く無かったようです。大人は、海から眺めるワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッド等でも、満足すると思いますが、子供達には、確実に楽しめる物の方が良かった様です。でも、間近で見れたらテンション上がってくれると思いますが。

The weather was nice and the cruise was great, but the transportation information was insufficient. Even though I arrived before the meeting time, I couldn't get on the bus and had to use a taxi at my own expense.

I have previously watched fireworks from the shore, but the view of the fireworks from the sea on the Makani was amazing. The captain and staff were friendly, and we had a great time. I was surprised by the speed of our return after the fireworks ended.

以前岸側から花火を眺めたことがありますが、船上で海側からの花火の眺めは最高でした。案内してくれた、マカニ号のキャプテン、スタッフもフレンドリーで楽しい時間を過ごしました。　花火が終わってからの帰りのスピードにはびっくりしました。

The catamaran, which is neither a sightseeing boat nor a yacht, was the best tour where we could enjoy the sea breeze while drinking Mai Tais and champagne, chatting, and dancing together. I saw comments saying they would repeat this, and I recommend it as well. The sunset, the night view of Waikiki, and Diamond Head were all visible from the sea, making the scenery absolutely stunning. The crew was also lively and made sure we had a great time.

遊覧船でもなく、ヨットでもないカタマラン号は、直接海風を感じながら、マイタイやシャンパンを飲んでしゃべって、踊って？皆で楽しく過ごせる、最高のツアーでした。コメントにリピするとあったのですが、私もリコメンドします。夕陽も、ワイキキの夜景、ダイアモンドヘッドも海から望め、景色も最高でした。クルーの方もノリが良く、楽しませてくれました。

It was my first time participating, but I had a wonderful time thanks to the friendly atmosphere created by the crew. Since it was Friday night, watching the fireworks while drinking champagne was incredibly exciting. I definitely recommend the Friday night cruise.

はじめての参加でしたが、クルーの皆さんのアットホームな雰囲気にたいへん楽しい時間を過ごさせていただきました。金曜日の夜でしたので、シャンパンを飲みながらの花火もすごくエキサイティングでした。金曜日の夜のクルーズは絶対にオススメです。
