This is my second time participating. Last time, after checking in, I wasn't informed of anything and just waited for over 40 minutes. However, this time, perhaps due to improvements in the system, I was informed of the meeting time 50 minutes later at check-in, which allowed me to return to the hotel for a bit. Additionally, there were fewer Japanese people, so it really felt like I was "overseas," and I was able to bond with people from various countries on board. This is a must-do when you come to Hawaii!

We really enjoyed the Makani Dinner Sail. Booking was easy through the website and the pick-up instructions were clear. When we arrived at the Illikai at the appointed time, the shuttle driver greeted us by name and we were off!

On board, the crew was super-friendly and low-key, not uptight or scoldy at all, which is always nice when you're out on an adult dinner cruise. And I was really happy that once we got out into open water, the captain shut off the engines and proceeded under sail. Much nicer ambiance without the diesels droning. Drinks were perfectly fine. My only critique would be food quality. The buffet they rolled out was perfectly fine for a boomer reunion picnic but as a picky millennial, I would happily pay a little extra per ticket for a level-up on the dinner spread. Maybe audition a few new caterers? Just didn't think it was at the same standard as everything else. Overall though, a really lovely break from Waikiki!

I participated in the evening on the day of arrival. I was wondering how the sunset would be since there were clouds, but it was visible at times through the clouds, and I was moved. There were only one or two other Japanese people besides us. Music was playing, and the foreigners were really into it. There were free drinks, including beer, Mai Tai, and soft drinks, for two hours. I also purchased a photo taken before boarding as a memory. I highly recommend it.

I participated with my wife and our son who just turned four. My wife was worried because there were reviews mentioning that the boat sways, and she tends to get seasick, but we had no problems and enjoyed ourselves completely. However, I think it really depends on the weather and wave conditions, so it might be good to plan while checking the weather forecast. The boat I wanted to take was canceled due to maintenance, and I made a last-minute reservation without much expectation. However, being close to the water and feeling the pleasant sea breeze while watching Waikiki transform from day to night was really wonderful. The casual style allowed us to sit at the front of the boat and relax. We could see the happy Friday fireworks from the front, making it feel like we had them all to ourselves. Drinks were unlimited, and the crew promptly checked on us when our drinks ran low and made more for us. The food was delicious too. They brought desserts around to the guests, and everyone was really nice. Although I'm not very good at English, there were staff members who spoke Japanese, which was reassuring. I usually don't get motion sickness in cars or boats, but I was a bit worried about seasickness when we headed out. Surprisingly, it didn't sway much even while docked. I felt the price was a bit high when I signed up, but it was totally worth it. It was the best experience!

This was my second time on a dinner cruise, but this ship didn't have any special stage performances, just a few band members and one Hawaiian dancer, which felt quite simple. There wasn't really a show to speak of, and there were no announcements for birthday or wedding celebrations, which made it a bit lonely. The cheerful atmosphere of Hawaii is very enjoyable, so it was a bit disappointing. The price wasn't too high, so maybe that's to be expected? Since we were a group of six, we had reserved seats, but some groups had to sit together at shared tables. It's also based on the order of boarding, so I recommend boarding early.

I wondered if there was a toilet on this boat, but when I sat down, I found that the area near the toilet was quite spacious after opening the red lid and going down the stairs. People who had drunk too much kept going in and out.

I reluctantly participated here as I couldn't secure a reservation for the Star of Honolulu and Majestic. However, this cruise takes a detour to ensure a clear view of Diamond Head, and thanks to the surrounding sailboats, you can capture beautiful photos. Unfortunately, on the day of the cruise, the weather was cloudy, so we couldn't see the sunset, but it would have been visible without any issues on a clear day. The buffet can be thought of as simple fast food and drinks, so I don't think it will be a major issue. As for the evening fireworks, it was surprisingly close, which was quite moving.

One point to note right after boarding is that the announcements will be made in Japanese in the cabin and in English on the deck. It’s definitely advisable to secure a spot on the deck. The announcements include the locations of the restrooms (two at the back), explanations of the boat/life jackets in case of an emergency, and how to order drinks, which are all straightforward matters.

スターオブホノルル号とマジェスティック号の予約が取れず、渋々こちらに参加しました。

一点、乗船直後の諸注意連絡ですが、日本語説明をキャビンで、英語説明をデッキで行います。どう考えても場所取りはデッキを押さえるべきです。連絡事項はトイレの場所（後方2箇所）、不慮の事故の際のボート/ライフジャケットの説明、ドリンクオーダーの仕方などで全く問題ない内容です。

I participated on the last day in Hawaii. As a result, I had a really fun time and made great memories! I highly recommend it! There were only a few Japanese people, which was nice since it was English-only. The staff were friendly and considerate, so I think those who are not confident in their English will have no worries. The people I boarded with were also very lively, and unfortunately, the day I participated was cloudy, so I couldn't see the sunset very well, but the atmosphere and the breeze were pleasant, and I was satisfied. It was a cruising experience in the evening. To my surprise, alcohol was free, and we had such a great time! My friends and their spouses were also very satisfied. Both the crew and the guests were lively, and even though I didn't understand English, it was truly enjoyable. I would love to participate again next time.

I had a reservation for the Star of Honolulu, but due to hull repairs, I was forced to cancel and quickly switched to the Majestic. However, even though it was just two docks away, I had quite a bit of trouble finding the boarding area. Because of that, I thought it might not compare well to the original cruise, but I believe the cost performance was actually better here. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, so I couldn't see the sunset, and I thought I might miss the fireworks too, but I was able to see them clearly, and they were not disappointing at all; I enjoyed them quite a bit. I thought the cocktail and light snacks were decent as well. More importantly, since I had planned to go directly to the boarding area, the outbound trip from the Kahala area would have been wasted, but thanks to VELTRA's negotiation, I was able to get a refund for one-way fare, which I was very grateful for. Because of that, my first ride back in a limousine was a fantastic experience.

スターオブホノルルを予約していたが船体補修とかでキャンセルを強いられ、急遽マジェスティックに切り換えた。処が、ふたつ先の桟橋なのに乗船場が分からず見つけるのにかなり苦労する。そんな事もあり当初のクルーズと比べてイマイチかなと思って乗船したが、コストパフォーマンスはこちらの方がよかったのではと思う。生憎曇っていてサンセットは見られず、花火もダメかなと思っていたらこれはしっかり見られて、その内容もそれ程ショボイものではなく、それなりに楽しめた。カクテル一杯と軽食もまあまあだったと思う。それより直接乗船場に行く事にしていた為、カハラ地区からの往路は無駄になるところだったのに、ベルトラさんのネゴで片道分をバックして貰えたのは大変有り難かった。お陰で、初めてのリムジンでの帰りは非常に気分が盛り上がったものであった。

Overall, the sunset cocktail cruise was excellent. The service staff was very attentive and would frequently go around the catamaran, refilling drinks and asking if you needed anything. The cruise itself did not take you very far from the pier, and stayed off the Waikiki coast, but still had an excellent view of diamond head and sunset. The appetizers were good, though not very substantial, consisting of chips, salsa, guacamole, salad, pasta salad, veggies, and rolls. Wouldn’t expect to get full from the food. The drinks were great, and basically free-flowing. Overall an excellent cocktail cruise
