We thought his luau was be dry boring and the show was not entertaining. We also are a younger couple it seemed maybe more geared toward older folks we called it the “retirement home luau” it was pretty disappointing for the last day of the trip. Also the food was a pre-fixed menu where u were waited on but for a picky eater it was not a good choice. I also went pregnant and the main appetizer was raw fish. I also don’t eat beef so all I was able to have was two tiny pieces of chicken and a small scoop of rice which was very mid. With two shrimps only. We both left hungry from a luau! Which is crazy it is supposed to be plentiful in food.

Check-in was at 5 PM, and we were given three drink tickets per person and shown to our seats. Although the front row was fully booked at the time of reservation and we had the basic plan, we were seated at a two-person table on the edge of the third row, which had a good view. The waiters came by at just the right times to take drink orders and even offered to take photos, providing a pleasant service experience. At the end, the two leftover drink tickets were exchanged for cute paper packs of mineral water to take home.

During the time from check-in to the show, we observed the making of kapa and poi. The kapa-making demonstration had a bit of a line, but it was organized into small groups, and even if you didn't understand English, it was fun to see the cute hula girls up close. There was no making of na lawaia, but instead, there was a corner where they stamped your arm with a tattoo-like design. The show was scheduled to start at 7 PM, but in reality, singing and hula began around 6 PM and ended by 8:40 PM. It was nice that we could take photos with the performers at the end. Compared to the Hilton show I attended previously, the stage was smaller, but at the Hilton, there were a lot of people, leading to long lines for check-in, a buffet-style meal with more waiting, and shared large tables. Personally, I found this experience to be more satisfying.

17時にチェックイン、1人3枚のドリンクチケットを渡されて席に案内されました。予約時に前列確約が満席で基本プランでしたが、3列目端の２人席で見やすくてよかったです。ドリンクもウエイターがタイミングよく聞きに来てくれたり写真を撮ってくれたり、気持ちの良いサービスでした。最後に2枚余ったドリンクチケットはお持ち帰り用のかわいいミネラルウォーター紙パックと交換してくれました。チェックインからショーまでの時間はカパ作りやポイ作りを見学。カパ作りは少し並んで小グループごとに説明してくれる形式で英語がわからなくてもかわいいフラガールのお姉さん達を間近に見られて楽しかったです。ナ・ラワイア作りはなく、代わりに腕にタトゥーのようなのスタンプを押してくれるコーナーがありました。ショーは19時からと書いてありましたが、実際には18時台から歌やフラが始まり、20:40には終了でした。退場時に舞台出演者と写真が撮れるようになっていたのもよかったです。以前参加したヒルトンのショーに比べると小さめのステージでしたが、ヒルトンは人数が多くてチェックインに長蛇の列、食事はビュッフェに並びドリンクも取りに行かなければならず、席は大きなテーブルで相席だったので、自分的にはこちらの方が満足度が高かったです。

City Lights has displays throughout its spacious grounds, including outside, but I found myself with too much free time. We were supposed to meet at 5 PM, but I was surprised that we had to turn back for three Americans who were late. Is this our responsibility? The three of them didn't apologize and were overly cheerful; could this be a difference in national character? It finally got dark around 6:15 PM, and the illumination was beautiful, but what do you think about the timing set from 5 PM to 7 PM? I think it would have been better if it started from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, so we could enjoy it after it got dark.

The last time I visited, it was a bit late in the evening and there were many people, making it quite crowded both inside and outside the city hall, which made taking photos a bit challenging.

This time, considering I had small children with me, I thought the crowds would be difficult, so I chose to go on a weekday before sunset. The venue was less crowded, and it was much easier to take photos.

After enjoying the inside of the city hall, we went outside as it was getting dark, allowing us to enjoy the outdoor illuminations without the crowds, and we were able to leave early, which was convenient.

Next time I go, I plan to visit on a similar schedule. It seems to have created good memories for the children as well, which was great.

City Lights was incredibly enjoyable. This time, since it was the 40th anniversary, there were many beautiful illuminations, making it quite festive. However, the voucher pickup location was listed as "Waikiki Shopping Plaza - Royal Hawaiian Avenue entrance," but in reality, it was across the road from that entrance. I almost got left behind. They were also 15 minutes late, which meant I couldn't enjoy the pre-event. Other than that, I was satisfied.

When looking at activities for our honeymoon, we were definitely looking for an on the water experience. There are lots of options in regards to sunset or fireworks(every friday) but most of them seemed to include having to be on a boat with many other families. While we are not opposed to spending time with strangers and getting to meet people, we really wanted to have a "next level" experience where we had pictures to share and memories to make.

Pau Hana sailing delivered on every single level. Captain Austin made sure our experience was one to remember. He helped us take pictures and was an absolute gem to spend two hours with.

Considering the pricing to be on our own private charter was only slightly more than being on one with tons of other families, there was absolutely no downside. I cannot recommend Pau hana sailing enough.

When we come back for an anniversary we will absolutely be booking again. Mahalo!

We chartered a boat for a family trip with three generations, totaling nine people. We booked the two-hour course, which turned out to be just the right amount of time to relax and enjoy meals on board. However, if you plan to have a longer meal on the boat, a longer course might be better.

We brought takeout food and drinks with us, but there were plenty of utensils provided, and it was helpful that cold drinking water was available. There was also a cooler on board, so we could keep our drinks and fruits chilled. There were two restrooms available, and we were able to bring a stroller on board as well. Although we didn't use it, there was also a microwave (or oven?!) available.

From the boat, you can see Waikiki and Diamond Head. The time spent lying outside while enjoying the panoramic view was absolutely the best!

The boat arrived at the dock about 15 minutes before the departure time. Since there isn't a waiting area like a terminal near the dock, it might be better not to arrive too early.

ベビーカーも積み込むことができました。
使用してはいませんが、電子レンジ(オーブン?!)もありました。

船上からはワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッドを見ることができます。
特に屋外で寝転がりながらパノラマビューを見ながら過ごす時間は最高でした!

船は出発時刻の15分くらい前に桟橋にやってきました。
桟橋付近にはターミナルのような待つ場所がないので、あまり早めに行かない方がいいかもしれません。

The yacht was larger and more beautiful than I expected, and we were able to spend a blissful time (^○^) Masa, who speaks Japanese, and the kind captain Austin prepared plenty of delicious appetizers for us, and I definitely want to use this service again! It was my first time seeing fireworks up so close!!!! Lying on the net at the front of the yacht while feeling the wind was just the best!!!! I already want to go again soon (^○^)

On the last day of our trip, I was moved to tears by a wonderful show that was perfect for concluding our journey. I recommend paying a little extra for seats closer to the front! Although it was quite pricey, it was worth every penny. My mother, who is in her mid-70s, was also deeply impressed.

With the ocean and Diamond Head as a backdrop, the show was based on history and was so moving that even those who aren't fluent in English could appreciate it. The singing and dancing were incredible and truly touched my heart.

The food was plentiful and delicious, but unfortunately, we couldn't finish it all since we don't eat much. The drink tickets included three drinks plus coffee, but we couldn't use all of our drink tickets. Overall, I was very satisfied.

Last year, I learned that there was a luau show at the Royal Hawaiian, and I participated for the first time. I was happy to hear my parents, who have seen various luau shows, say that it was great. I definitely want to repeat this experience when I stay in Waikiki. This time, we entered in time for dinner, but I am also interested in events that teach about Hawaiian culture.
