I had friends visiting the islands, and they wanted to do something a bit different, and 'off the beaten path' so I decided to take them Ocean Kayaking over in Kailua! We headed out, a bit late, and got there and the staff at Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks were amazing and friendly, telling us all the best insider tips for kayaking out there! We got out into the ocean, and it was extremely windy and choppy, but it was so much fun heading out to Flat Island and then over to the beach for a bit of relaxing snorkeling and sunbathing. Thanks again to the great staff at Kailua Sailboards for all their help with everything kayak and ocean related, my friends and I had a blast braving the elements and spending the day out on the water!

My dream of standing on a sandbar during my trip to Hawaii came true, and it was amazing. When I walked on the sandbar, the water was about ankle-deep, but standing there, I could see a beautiful panoramic view of the blue ocean, which felt wonderful. シュノーケリングでは、ライフジャケット、シュノーケル、アクアポール（円筒形ビート板）を貸してもらい身支度しました。スノーケリングは初めてでしたので使い方を教えてもらい泳ぎました。サンゴのある所まで泳いで行くと小魚がたくさん泳いでいるのが見えました。シュノーケリングは事前に練習して行く方が遠くまで泳げて楽しめると思いました。水着だけの人は少し寒そうでしたが私は、水着の上に半袖Ｔシャツを着ていたので寒くなかったです。

スタッフの方が日本語で話して説明して下さったのでよくわかり安心できました。また、行く途中に３びき大きなウミガメが泳いでいるのを見ました。楽しいクルーズツアーでした。また、行ってみたいです

I participated in a two-hour horseback riding tour starting at 3 PM.

On the day of the tour, it was raining intermittently, but I wore a T-shirt with a hoodie, so it wasn't a problem. More than that, the mist over the mountains made it even more mystical. They also provide raincoats for free.

Being swayed on the horse for two hours while surrounded by the mountain scenery was more healing than I imagined. While sunny days are beautiful, I also recommend going on a rainy day. You can see countless waterfalls that can only be seen during the rainy season. Just make sure to bring a change of T-shirt.

For the first snorkel outting of our trip, this was a great way to get the ball rolling. Other than the long drive to get to the boat launch everything was smooth sailing. The crew was great and fun to travel with and were very knowledgable on the sites we visited. The trip to the sand bar was a treat. Only regret is we would love to have stayed at the reef longer.

It was fun, but it would have been better if there had been a shuttle service to the ranch! Taking the city bus was enjoyable in its own way, though... The guide only spoke English, so if you can't speak English, you might miss out on the explanations. Still, it was definitely enjoyable.

Since we had booked a morning activity without transportation, we started by renting a car. We were waiting at the rental car counter with plenty of time, but there was a commotion with a white woman... and before we knew it, over an hour had passed, leaving us with a very tight departure. The activity was all in English, which made me a bit anxious, but we first watched a five-minute horse riding explanation video in Japanese.

As we began riding, it was Christmas, so the horses were wearing reindeer hats, which was adorable. A family of Black participants was there, and they were riding very large, calm horses, but because I am small, I was on a pony? A young horse? It was quite a spirited one (sweat), not listening to me, running off on its own, arguing with the lead horse, and starting to eat (laughs). I was gripping the reins, worried about being thrown off for two hours, and my hands were soaked with sweat. The scenery was stunning, as expected for a movie set. 一緒に参加された黒人さん家族の方は体がすごく大きく、どっしりした落ち着きのある馬に乗られていましたが、私の体が小さいからなのかポニー？子馬？のような馬で、かなりのじゃじゃ馬で（汗）言うことを聞いてくれないし、勝手に走り出すし、リードしてくれる馬と喧嘩をするし、食事をはじめるし（笑）、私は２時間振り落とされないかドキドキしながら手綱を握る手が汗びっしょりでした。景色は映画に使用されるだけあって素晴らしいものでした。なんと最後に木登りヤギ？を発見！！初めて見たので嬉しかったです。

シュノーケリング、海の中に入ってしまえば、寒さは感じない！でも、足ひれが欲しかった。なぜ、つけられないのでしょう？珊瑚礁を壊さないため？なら仕方がなのかな？

ちょっと長くなりましたが、総合的には、日本語ガイドのお姉さんががんばったおかげで、中の上。天気しだいです。でも、見方を変えれば、楽しめるツアーでした。我々は海水が冷たかったけど、楽しみましたよ！

I've visited Hawaii several times, but this was my first time participating in this activity. I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately, we were hit by heavy rain and strong winds on the day, so we couldn't enjoy snorkeling. I participated in this monitor tour with my mother.

We arrived at the port in just under an hour. First, we went to the sandbar.

一時間弱で港に到着。まずはサンドバ−へ。


一面に広がるサンドバ−は圧巻で、空との一体感が何とも言えず素晴らしい景色でした。
ちょうど干潮の時間だったので水位は足首ほどでした。
サンドバ−での時間は沢山あり、散歩・ビ−チバレ−・シュノ-ケルの練習などが出来ます。


その後美味しいハンバ-ガ-を楽しみました。


次は船上から海亀を探しました。
何匹か見る事が出来ましたが、一瞬なので海亀全体を見る事は難しいかも…


最後は珊瑚礁でのシュノ-ケリング。
足が付かない所なので、心配な方はライフジャケット＋浮き棒を使用したらいいかと思います。
クル−が魚を呼び寄せてくれるので沢山見られると思います。


このツア−は天気がよければお薦めのツア−だと思います。
クル−に日本人の方がいますので､英語が出来なくても大丈夫です。
船の揺れもあまりありませんでした。


70歳近くの母と参加しましたが、景色がよくよかったと言っておりました。
老若男女楽しめるツア−だと思います。

This was my first time participating. I used it for my honeymoon. The sandbar was beautiful, and there was plenty of free time, so it was really great. The lunch on the boat, where they grilled meat, was very delicious.

My friend and I had a great time. We biked from Kailua to Lanikai and did a little snorkeling and then back to Kailua for a little R&R on the beach.Kailua was one of the best beaches we went to, great water and sand.... wish we did the kayaks but I guess it's best to reserve something for next time!
