I chose to participate on the day with the lowest tide during my stay. The timing was close to low tide for this tour, so I joined. On this day, there were two buses filled with only Japanese participants. However, the staff handled everything efficiently, so the movement was smooth.

After everyone saw the honu (sea turtles), we headed to the sandbar. The wind was strong, and the water was cold!! Everyone was shivering. But I was so happy to see the sandbar, which I had been looking forward to the most since before the trip.

It was my first experience with snorkeling, but the staff's explanations were easy to understand, so I could see well underwater! However, I realized that you can't snorkel if you can't swim... Still, I was satisfied to have experienced it a little.

After getting back on the boat, I enjoyed the sandwiches and tea that were prepared. Since I was cold, the food was a welcome treat!

On the day I participated, most of the attendees were couples, but there were also families and groups of friends who seemed to be having a great time.

船にあがった後は、準備されているサンドイッチと紅茶をいただきました。身体が冷えていたので、食べ物うれしい！
　私が参加した日は参加者はほぼカップルでしたが、家族連れの方や友達同士で参加の方も楽しそうでした★

My husband and I participated in stand-up paddleboarding in Kailua. Since I had experience with surfing, we signed up without a lesson. It was more stable than a longboard, and it was fun to paddle easily like a boat. We paddled to a nearby island twice and didn't fall off even once (the wind and waves were mild). I was really satisfied since even a beginner like me could enjoy it so much. I would love to do it again when I go back to Hawaii! Thank you!

I visited in February 2012. It was a 2-hour horseback ride.
The location is fantastic.
Scenes from movies and commercials unfolded right before my eyes, and the impact was several times greater than what you see on screen.
However, since it was the rainy season, we set off in light rain.
You can borrow a raincoat, but I was appalled by its dirtiness. The helmet was the same.
So, if the weather is clear, it would be perfect.
If you're going by rental car, you can also stop by the North on your way back, so I think you can enjoy the day.

Upon arriving at the shop with lockers, we received an explanation and headed to Kailua Beach. After that, we had lunch and kayaking, so we only had about an hour to play at the beach. Kailua Beach is very beautiful, and the breeze felt nice.

As for kayaking, to be honest, it was tough for me as someone who is not athletic and has a bit of a flabby body, but I somehow managed to reach the uninhabited island in last place. This led to a bit of a quarrel between us, which brought down the mood, but we were encouraged by the instructor's energetic and reliable presence, and we ended up having a great time. On the uninhabited island, the instructor shared stories about birds and mythology, which was enjoyable.

For those going with a partner who may not have much stamina, please lead them without getting angry. That's the secret to having fun!

I had many worries about bringing a baby, but I was truly moved by the beauty of the ocean. The water was cold, and we returned to the boat once, but since we had come all this way and the sky and sea were so beautiful, I thought it would be a waste to just watch from the boat. So, I held the baby and went into the water, which was waist-deep. However, in the shallows, it was only knee-deep.

I had heard that we couldn't use a stroller, so my husband and I took turns holding the baby. Fortunately, the baby didn't cry, which was a relief.

The BBQ burgers on the boat were delicious. While enjoying the beautiful ocean view, we ate hamburgers and listened to a lot of Hawaiian music, making it a relaxing day.

We couldn't go snorkeling, but we were able to see a turtle popping its head out of the water from the boat.

Since the boat was full, I thought it was a bit cramped for us with all our luggage.

I wanted to join the recommended plan, but due to scheduling conflicts with other tours, I participated in the early morning plan.

The Japanese guide (a woman) kept the atmosphere lively with jokes and provided clear instructions at the sea turtle viewing points. I was able to see many more sea turtles than I had expected, and I even spotted baby turtles.

After the sea turtle viewing, we moved to the sandbar. The weather was nice, but the seawater was cold... (though it was fine once I got used to it). The scenery was just as beautiful as I had seen in photos!

After that, we went snorkeling, but contrary to my expectations, the visibility wasn't very good, and I felt like I hardly saw any fish. Additionally, the water was quite deep, and the current seemed relatively fast, so I recommend that those who are not experienced with snorkeling definitely use the floatation devices provided by the staff. (As a beginner, I found it tough without one.)

Overall, I think the tour is enjoyable, with all the staff being friendly and cheerful.

盛り上げてくれ、ウミガメ観賞ポイントでは

そのあと、シュノーケリングをしましたが、
こちらは予想に反してあまり透明度が無く、
魚もほとんど見られなかったように感じます。
しかも水深は結構深く、流れも比較的早いように思うので、
シュノーケリングに不慣れな方は、スタッフが貸してくれる浮き棒？を必ず使うことをお勧めします。
（私は初心者だったのでこれがないときつかったです）

全体的にはスタッフの方も全員フレンドリーで明るく、
楽しく過ごせるツアーだと思います。

It was disappointing that the sandbar wasn't fully exposed since we participated close to high tide. However, the water level was about knee-deep, so we had fun playing volleyball with other participants.

The subsequent turtle watching from the boat and snorkeling at the coral reef were also great. Even without scuba diving, we were able to interact with tropical fish.

I wanted to forget the daily hustle and bustle, so I joined the tour alone and relaxed.

As we headed out to the sea by boat, a beautiful sandy beach suddenly appeared, which felt quite magical.

I checked the low tide times in advance, so everything went according to plan! I was able to see the sandbar.

Depending on the time, the sandbar may not be fully visible, so I definitely recommend checking the low tide times before participating.

Several sea turtles showed up, and I was able to take great photos!!

Since I was the only one participating alone, the staff were very attentive, and thanks to them, I had a wonderful time.

It's better to prepare for the cold!!

I participated in the early morning plan, and although my stay was only about two hours, I was very satisfied. It was a lucky day as the sandbar was completely exposed due to low tide! I also got to see a rainbow and even a sea turtle, which was amazing! If you're going to the beach, I recommend this place over Hanauma Bay! However, there might be fewer types of fish for snorkeling. The staff were also very friendly, making it fun and taking photos for us.

I signed up at the request of my son, who is learning horseback riding. I thought two hours would be tough for a beginner, but it wasn't that bad. The horse was very gentle, but it occasionally wandered off to eat leaves or took several bathroom breaks, which was amusing. There was a Japanese video before the horseback riding, so I understood the precautions well. We went from a narrow mountain path to a road with a view of the sea, and entering the valley revealed a completely different landscape from the wide-open sea. There were guides about filming locations for movies like Lost, Godzilla, and Jurassic Park, which was enjoyable. However, since all the participants were from English-speaking countries and the staff only spoke English, we felt a bit isolated as we were outside the explanation circle... The weather was unfortunately not great that day, and I was wondering how it would turn out, but by the time we boarded the boat, the rain had stopped. It wasn't perfectly sunny, but the weather was decent!

We boarded the boat and arrived at the sandbar. The Japanese guide was a really cheerful lady. It was a bit windy, so it was slightly cold, but the scenery was beautiful and we had a great time. I was moved to see so many sea turtles. The hamburger lunch with patties grilled on the boat's deck was especially delicious!!!

We participated as a family of five with children aged 7, 4, and 2. The weather was nice on the day of the event, the sea was calm, and we were able to see sea turtles, making it a very enjoyable experience. The boat was filled only with Japanese participants, and there were also Japanese female staff members, so the children felt comfortable. With around 20 participants, it was easy to interact with nearby families and couples, and at the sandbar, even small children could play leisurely while holding hands with their parents. Only my 7-year-old and I tried snorkeling. There were long floats that allowed us to view the underwater scenery side by side, making it surprisingly easy to see coral reefs and small fish. For reference, the meeting place was not our accommodation, so I was a bit worried about whether we were in the right spot until the pickup arrived. ７才、４才、２才の５人家族で参加しました。当日は天候も良く海も荒れず、ウミガメも鑑賞でき大変楽しく参加できました。船も日本人参加者のみで乗船でき日本人の女性スタッフもいましたので子供たちも懐いていました。船も参加人数がごちゃごちゃしない２０人程度でしたので程よく近くの家族連れやカップルと交流ができ、サンドバーでは小さい子供も親と手を繋いでのんびり遊べます。シュノーケリングは７才の子と私だけ挑戦しました。２人で並んで水中を鑑賞できる長い浮きなどもあり案外簡単にサンゴ礁や小魚を鑑賞できました。お昼はスタッフが船上でハンバーガーを焼いてくれて船でのんびりと景色を見ながら食べれます。楽しいツアーでした。参考までに集合場所が私たちは宿泊先ではなかったので少々迎えがくるまでここでいいのか心配でした。バスも乗り合いで米国人が９割近く乗車してて日本人はいないのかと心配になりましたが船着き場で合流できたので安心しました。あとバスの中で妻曰くおもしろい話をスタッフがマイクで話していたそうですが、終始英語なので解らないと退屈です。バスの乗車中、本など子供がひまを紛らわせるおもちゃなどあるといいかなと思いました。

I visited Kailua last January, and since I only did sightseeing then and didn't swim, I made sure to participate this time with the intention of definitely getting into the ocean.

The wind was strong and it was a bit chilly, but I was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

There were quite a few participants, but the staff at the shop were efficient in giving instructions, which minimized any time loss, and that was great.

On the way to the beach, I bought breakfast at a small market and enjoyed it on the beach, which was delicious. (I later found out it was a famous market.)

The pizza for lunch was also tasty. The lady at the pizza shop was a fun person.

This time, there were only my husband and me on the guided tour. My husband has kayaking experience, but I was a beginner. The guide kindly taught me how to get into the kayak and how to use the paddle. With a spirited "Let's get to it!" we walked for about three minutes with our gear, and in front of us was the beautiful blue ocean of Kailua, welcoming us with a sea turtle! It was so cute popping its head out of the water. However, there was no time to be amazed as I nervously got into the kayak and set off into the open sea. We paddled hard, following the guide towards an uninhabited island about 300-400 meters away. Despite the headwind, as we paddled, another sea turtle swam nearby! In a moment of surprise, we forgot to paddle and exclaimed, "Wow!!!" After a brief moment of excitement, I quickly returned to focus, being careful not to hit the turtle with my paddle, and we paddled for another 20 minutes before safely arriving at the island. The guide explained in detail why this island was formed, the habits of migratory birds, and that it is a protected area. Along the way, we found a pair of migratory birds in a hole and discovered crab shells, all while having a great time walking around the island. After that, we expressed our desire to go snorkeling at Lanikai, and the guide happily agreed, so we got back into the kayak. Paddling from the island to Lanikai Beach was challenging as we had to paddle at a right angle to the waves to avoid being swept onto the sandy beach. 15分ほどシュノーケルを楽しみ、写真を3人で撮り合い、大騒ぎしてとても楽しかった~!!!!2時間のﾂｱｰｶﾞｲﾄﾞもあっという間で、再びカヤックでカイルアへ向かい、Shopへ戻ってガイドさんとはお別れ･･･。その後はピザ屋さんでのランチとフリータイム。ランチ後はもちろん再びカイルアビーチに戻りましたが♪キレ

WOW! From the moment we arrived at the pier (we drove as we had a toddler with us) Jenner was playful and set a great mood. Everyone was excited for a day on the water, even though the weather didn't look too great. The Sandbar was fantastic, it's a unique experience being in the middle of the ocean, walking around. My husband had NEVER snorkeled before and found it hard to put the experience into words; he saw fish he'd only ever seen in documentaries and he was fascinated by the colours and the way they would swim around him... he's now officially addicted. Lunch was really good; well organised, quick and tasty. Our little one kinda freaked out on the boat and the staff were great with cheering him up. Jenner played his guitar while we ate and I've never felt more relaxed and like I was "in Hawaii". I had friends visiting the islands, and they wanted to do something a bit different, and 'off the beaten path' so I decided to take them Ocean Kayaking over in Kailua! We headed out, a bit late, and got there and the staff at Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks were amazing and friendly, telling us all the best insider tips for kayaking out there! We got out into the ocean, and it was extremely windy and choppy, but it was so much fun heading out to Flat Island and then over to the beach for a bit of relaxing snorkeling and sunbathing. Thanks again to the great staff at Kailua Sailboards for all their help with everything kayak and ocean related, my friends and I had a blast braving the elements and spending the day out on the water!
