This is my second time, following last year. It was a bit cold last year, so I was hoping this year would be better... but it was even colder. I chose a different tour this year, and the staff's response was good. Last year, my mother suddenly decided not to go at the last minute, so this year I let her participate without saying anything. On January 3rd, it was winter in Hawaii as well, but everyone was swimming while saying it was cold. We got to see sea turtles and manta rays, and we enjoyed beach volleyball at a beautiful sandbar. We participated as a couple in our mid-50s. Unfortunately, it was windy and rainy, but we made it to the Twin Islands via Flat Island.

Since it was a self-guided plan, I initially struggled with how to paddle, but once I got the hang of it, I managed to move forward.

Even in the reef, the wind was strong, creating waves, and especially when leaving the Twin Islands, I had to time my paddling with the waves to avoid getting tossed around, which was a bit challenging.

The distance to the Twin Islands is about 3 km one way, but we were able to make the round trip in about two and a half hours, which surprised the staff.

However, it was quite cold due to the rain and wind, so we couldn't relax much even after landing on the island. We also couldn't go snorkeling.

It was quite tough, but it was a valuable experience that you can't easily have while in Japan. Reaching the Twin Islands gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Canoeing wasn't difficult even for an amateur like me at my age. Plus, wearing a life jacket made it safe.

What I regret is not being able to relax and snorkel in the beautiful sea or explore the Twin Islands. I would like to try again when the weather is better.

フラット島経由で双子の島まで行ってきました。

ガイド無しプランだったため
最初はどのように漕いだらよいか悩みましたが、なれれば何とか前へ進むものです。

リーフの中でも風が強いと波があり、特に双子の島からの離岸は波の引くタイミングを見計らって漕ぎ出さないと波にもまれる可能性がありちょっと大変でした。

双子の島までは片道3kmほど有りますが2時間半ほどで往復できスタッフの方もビックリされていました。

でも、本当は雨と風でじっとしていると寒くて島に上陸してもユックリしていられなかったのです。
シュノーケリングも出来ませんでした。

結構大変でしたが、日本にいるとなかなか出来ない貴重な体験が出来ました。
双子の島まで行くと達成感がありますよ。

私のような年齢の素人でもカヌーは難しくありませんでした。
また救命胴衣を付けているので危険もありません。

心残りはきれいな海でユックリとシュノーケリングと双子の島の散策が出来なかったこと。
天候が良い時期になら再チャレンジしてみたいです。

The weather was a bit bad and cold, but the captain and the staff were so warm-hearted that I forgot about the cold and was able to enjoy myself. Additionally, one of the female staff members had her child with her, and they worked hard to take care of the guests, adding an extra layer of fun to the experience. I definitely want to enjoy my next visit with the wonderful staff again.

It was a slightly cloudy day, but the waves were calm, and there was absolutely no worry about seasickness—it was the best day! The sea was, as expected, very beautiful and clear. Although it was said that the sea was dark due to the clouds, we could still see the sea turtles clearly, and the photos turned out great!

Due to the tides, the sandbar had quite a bit of water, up to about waist-deep. Moreover, the seawater was cold! However, with the bright and energetic instructor's enthusiastic invitation, everyone squealed with excitement as we headed into the water. I was mistaken in thinking it would only be ankle-deep. Please be cautious about that. We were able to arrive at the hotel before noon, which was convenient time-wise. I highly recommend it!

Transporting the sea kayak to the ocean might be a bit challenging... It feels tough with just two girls. It might be better to go with guys.

Once you're out on the sea, it's incredibly refreshing, and landing on a deserted island for a walk is fun. The beauty of the ocean is exceptional!!

When I can properly ride the sea kayak, I felt like I could drift on the waves for hours ❤️

As for whether I would do it again... Thinking back to the time we transported the sea kayaks... I might hesitate a little. It was that tough (laughs). Definitely something to consider if two girls are signing up together!!!!

It would have been perfect if there was a plan that included relaxing on the beach, as walking on a beautiful beach was not part of the plan.

The most impressive part was when they sang Christmas songs live on the boat with a guitar. This was an unexpected service.

Additionally, the staff provided perfect service, so I think Japanese guests would be very satisfied.

My partner didn't swim because it was too cold, so having a self-service hot drink option during the cruise would have been better for those who were cold. Also, it would be nice if they could lend out knee blankets or half blankets.

In short, it was just cold, but I'm glad the cruise didn't get canceled due to bad weather.

The commentary was provided in Japanese by Japanese staff, so I recommend it for Japanese guests.

It's a popular tour. You arrive at the port, which is about an hour away by bus from Waikiki. Everyone was Japanese... especially the older ladies, who were quite noisy and sat in other people's seats without asking, and used beach towels without permission, which was the worst.

Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy, so we couldn't see the beautiful ocean. The sandbar was shallow, about knee-deep, and there were no fish swimming around. While you can indeed see sea turtles, it's only from the boat.

At the snorkeling point, there are fish, but not many. It felt like there were few beautiful fish as well...

Overall, it was neither good nor bad, but considering the cost, it was a bit disappointing.

The cruise was just a short trip around the bay. The meals were simple. The staff also left an impression of being rough around the edges. I thought $60 was too expensive for this experience.

We were picked up at the Ambassador Hotel and transferred to a large bus at the Sheraton Hotel to set off! The bus was freezing cold, and my sister, who was wearing short sleeves, was feeling chilly. We arrived at the port on time. The waves were calm, and thankfully, there was no seasickness, thanks to the fun staff, and we quickly reached the turtle watching point! We saw sea turtles, but just for a moment! Their heads popped up briefly. We saw a few, but I think it would be difficult to take pictures. My mother, who expected to see the turtles up close, was a bit disappointed. Next, we went to the sandbar! We had 40 minutes there. First, we took photos! It felt very free, as everyone could do their own thing. The staff took pictures, so couples and groups could get photos together. 母と姉と3人で参加しました。母と姉は初のハワイだったのでシュノーケルがしたい姉、母には綺麗な景色を見てもらいたいと思いこちらに参加しました。アンバサダーホテルでピックアップしてもらい、シェラトンホテルで大型バスに乗り換えて出発！バスは冷房ガンガンで半袖の姉は寒がってました(^^;時間通りに港に到着。波も穏やかで心配していた船酔いもなく、楽しいスタッフのおかげであっという間にタートルウォチングポイントへ!!ウミガメは見れたけど…一瞬！顔がピョコっと出る程度。何匹かみれたけど写真に撮るのは難しいと思います(-_-;)ウミガメがガッツリ見れると思っていた母はちょっと残念がってました(^-^;次にサンドバーへ!!滞在時間は40分。まず写真撮影～♪おのおので自由にという感じです。スタッフが撮ってくれるのでカップルやグループでもみんなで写った写真が撮れます。洋服を着ていこうと思いましたが、水が腰ぐらいまであったので水着で行きました。海のど真ん中に立てるっていうのはとにかく神秘的！次にシュノーケル。海流を乱さないためにロープに沿って泳ぎます。初めての方は救命着を着た方がいいと思います。呼吸の仕方などは説明のみで実際に練習はなしです。姉は「二度目だから～♪」と調子に乗って上手く呼吸ができず溺れかけていました。これに母と私は爆笑！シュノーケルは本当に気持ちよくて、小さな魚がいっぱい見れました。楽しかったのでもっとしたかったです。帰りの船でサンドウィッチと暖かい紅茶でお腹を満たし、ユキコさんの話で爆笑し、港に到着。バスでは早起き&泳いだ疲れか爆睡でした。時間通り午前中のうちに終わるツアーで時間を有意義に使えるツアーで本当に良かったです。ただ、ほんっっとに新婚カップルばっかりでした(^_^;)シュノーケルをたくさんしたい方は1日ツアーの方がいいかもしれません。帰りのバスの運転手はまぢのネイティブで発音がめっちゃ良い英語&なぜかハイテンション!これにまた爆笑！帰りのバスは降りる所が挙手制で、シェラトンはちゃんと停まると思いますが、アンバサダーは危うく乗り過ごすところでした。なにせ発音がめっちゃ良いので(笑)帰りは濡れたままバスに乗るので、長袖の羽織りとバスタオルは持参した方がいいと思います。こちらのツアーは段取りもよく有意義な時間を過ごせ、本当に楽しかったです。いい思い出になりました。ワイ

Sandbar is a place I always wanted to visit. I was aware that the height of the water varies depending on the season and time. When I actually went, the water was about knee to waist deep. Even so, it was incredibly beautiful and felt great.

The staff were kind, and I had a lot of fun. The burgers were delicious too.

Playing beach volleyball while being submerged up to my waist was quite tough, but I was able to enjoy playing with other guests I met for the first time.

Also, if you're going during this season (winter), it can get cold when the wind blows over the water, so it's definitely a good idea to bring clothes to wear over your swimsuit and a large beach towel.

Since I had already set my plans before departing, to find out that the desired course would change just one day before (with only two days left) is frustrating! The reason given was that there would be a motorcycle race. Surely, they must have known about this well in advance! Are they really deciding on the motorcycle race just a day before?!

I had hoped to follow a course that included filming locations from Jurassic Park, but it got canceled. This is terrible! They should have known about this at the time of booking. They just took my reservation and then informed me the day before that the course was unavailable... it's awful! I'm really disappointed!

I participated because I wanted to see the sandbar with my own eyes. What I had imagined was being able to walk on the sandbar. However, there was water up to my knees, which was a bit disappointing. (The sandbars you often see are really only visible on limited days, right...?) However, the staff were very enjoyable, and the content was fulfilling, so I was very satisfied.

I have been riding for 20 years, and since I only rode outside of Oahu in Hawaii, this was my first time riding on Oahu. I think it was great that I rode with a mother and daughter from the United States, and it turned out to be even better than I expected. Here, on full-day or half-day tours, there are mostly Japanese people, but this 2-hour ride is not included in the tours, so I really enjoyed experiencing Hawaii's nature while riding. I want to go again.

We participated as a couple. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day with some wind, which made it a bit chilly, but we were healed by the beautiful colors of the sea and sky in Kailua. The distance we kayaked was just right for beginners and was enjoyable. The pizza we had for lunch was delicious. The staff were all very good at Japanese, making it a great recommendation for beginners.

This time, I traveled to Hawaii with three friends for the first time in ten years. The average age of our group was 55, making it a trip for older gentlemen. Last time, we spent two days golfing and driving around the island. This time, I wanted to try something different besides golf. When I went to Hawaii with my family this summer, I saw a buggy tour on the Hawaii Channel, which piqued my interest, so I joined a two-hour course.

It was raining at the 8 AM meeting time, so we changed to the afternoon, but the weather in Hawaii is unpredictable. The sun quickly peeked out, so we participated in the morning as originally planned. We were the only Japanese participants, along with a couple from Ohio. We received instructions via video and then set off.

The staff accompanying us spoke only a little Japanese, but they made a great effort to entertain us. Along the way, they treated us to passion fruit that was growing on a tree, and in the end, they understood our driving skills, allowing us to enjoy a motocross-like experience. Everyone felt it was better than expected. The Jurassic world is also worth a visit!

日本人は我々だけで一緒にオハイオから来たカップルでした。説明はビデオで受けいざ出発。
同行スタッフはほんの少しの日本語しか出来ませんでしたが一生懸命楽しませてくれました。途中木になっていたパッションフルーツをサービスしてくれ最後は我々のドライビングテクニックを理解してくれモトクロス状態で堪能しました。
皆思ったよりよかったーが感想です。
ジュラシックの世界も一見ですよー。

It was absolutely wonderful! However, the seawater in late November was cold, and without a wetsuit, it seemed like you couldn't stay underwater for more than 30 minutes while snorkeling. I was fine since I was kayaking. It became a fun memory. Thank you!

This was my eighth trip to Hawaii, but it was my first experience at the sandbar. The knee-deep water in the middle of the ocean was very mysterious, and the contrast between the sand and the sea was beautiful. When we went, it was not the season for the sand to be exposed, but I would like to visit again during low tide. I thought the staff was friendly and their service was good, but I wish they would refrain from smoking at the sandbar. Even though there are no legal restrictions, I wonder why anyone would smoke in such a beautiful natural place. There were even comments encouraging smoking among participants, and I saw people walking around the sandbar with cigarettes in their mouths. It was uncomfortable on the water.

Due to my schedule, I couldn't participate for long and joined the morning session. I only caught a glimpse of the sea turtles from the boat, but I was impressed by the beauty of the sandbar! When getting off the boat, the water was up to my stomach, and in the shallow areas, it was up to my knees. I'm so glad I bought a waterproof camera!

The weather was a bit gloomy during the cruise, with some light rain, but we were able to see a rainbow, and by the time we arrived, it was sunny! It must be even more sparkling and beautiful on a clear day.

Since I was at the back during snorkeling, the visibility was poor, but I really wanted to go to the sandbar, so I was happy about that. The early finish allowed me to spend the afternoon meaningfully. The warm tea and sandwiches served on the way back were delicious!

I hope I can take my time a bit more next time.

We went on a morning tour as a couple. We took three large buses to the port. I think almost everyone was Japanese.

Upon arriving at the port, we split into three groups and took a boat to our destination. I believe we were on the boat for about 20 to 30 minutes. Along the way, we had a brief sea turtle watching experience, but we could only catch a glimpse.

Once we arrived at the sandbar, we started with photo sessions. In deeper areas, the water was about waist-deep, while in shallower areas, it was around knee-deep. We asked a Japanese female guide named Yukiko to take various photos for us. It seemed like other participants were taking photos among themselves. However, if you ask the guide, she will give you pose instructions and take several shots, so I think it's better to ask her! Just be aware that there might be a wait, so it's best to stay close to the guide once you get into the water! (laughs)

After that, we went snorkeling. Life jackets were available for those who wanted them, but I didn't wear one. We went surprisingly deep, and it felt like it was about 5 to 10 meters deep. We followed the guide while making a rough line, stopping occasionally. We swam in areas where our feet couldn't touch the bottom. They also provided long floatation devices, but if you can't swim well, it's better to wear a life jacket! My husband regretted not wearing one since he isn't a strong swimmer. The floatation device is meant for two people, but in reality, it sinks when two people use it (laughs).

Swimming near the guide at the front allows for a surprisingly long snorkeling experience, which can be tiring, but we got to see coral up close and even spotted some fish, making it a very valuable experience. If you're at the back of the line, it might be murky due to the people ahead swimming, so I recommend being towards the front. My husband and I led the way and thoroughly enjoyed it♪

Afterward, warm tea and sandwiches were distributed, which was very helpful since we were a bit hungry♪

サンドバーに着いて、まずは写真撮影。

他の方は、参加者同士で撮り合っていたようです。
ですが、ガイドさんに頼むとポーズの指示をしてくれ、

ただ順番待ちが発生するので、なるべく海入ったらガイドさんの近くにいた方がいいですよ！！（笑）

そのあとはシュノーケリング。
救命胴衣は希望の方だけ着る流れで、私は着なかったです。
案外深いところまで行くのですが、たぶん5m～10mくらいあったように感じます。
途中止まったりしながら、ざっくりとした列を作りながらガイドさんについていく感じです。
終始足が着かないところを泳ぎます。
水に浮く細長いやつも貸してくれるのですが、泳げない方は救命胴衣を着た方がいいです！
夫がそんなに泳げないのに着なくて後悔してました。
細長いやつは2人で1つ、実際は2人で使うと沈みます（笑）

ガイドさん近く、先頭で泳ぐと案外長くシュノーケリングするので疲れますが、
サンゴを近くで見れ、魚も少し見れて、とても貴重な体験が出来ました。
列の後方にいると先に行った人が泳いだせいか濁って見にくいので、先頭を行くくらいがお勧めです。
私たち夫婦は先頭切って泳いで、堪能しました♪

終わった後は温かいお茶とサンドイッチが配られ、小腹が空いていたのでとても助かりました♪

I participated with four friends. The presence of lockers was a great help. The beach had strong winds, and the rental mat was almost blown away, so it was very convenient to be able to store valuables and anything else not absolutely necessary in the lockers.

For lunch, after some deliberation, I chose the chicken BBQ plate. It was teriyaki chicken style, came with macaroni salad, and the portion was just right and very delicious.

The beach is truly amazing!! While enjoying bodyboarding in the sea, a sea turtle appeared right in front of me!! It was just for a moment, but I was really happy to encounter a sea turtle and had a wonderful time. I want to come back again.

友達4人で参加させてもらいました。
ロッカーがありかなり助かりました。ビーチは風が強くレンタルしたゴザも飛んでいく勢いでした、なので貴重品を含め最低限必要な物以外はロッカーへ入れておけるので大変便利でした。

昼食は迷ったあげくチキンBBQプレートにしました。
てりやきチキン風で、マカロニサラダ付きで量も丁度良くとても
美味しかったです。

ビーチは本当に最高です！！そして、海でボディーボードを
楽しんでると目の前に海ガメが！！一瞬ですが海ガメとも遭遇出来て本当に幸せな時間を過ごせました。また来たいです。

The view from the sandbar was very beautiful. I was told to practice snorkeling there, but not many people were doing it. We had a lot of fun playing beach volleyball with the participants. Although not everyone joined, about 15 people were playing. The lunch afterward was delicious, with freshly grilled meat. I wasn't a fan of the sweet bean stew.

I went snorkeling a little further from the sandbar, but there weren't many fish, so I got out quickly. It seemed like we had quite a bit of time (around an hour), and someone said, "Are we getting out already? There's still 30 minutes left." Then, I was splashed with water from a bucket over my head, which seemed to be a substitute for a shower.

I thought the Japanese staff member could have used a bit more polite language, as they were speaking casually to everyone.

そして頭からバケツで水をかけられました。それがシャワーのかわりみたいです。

日本人の係員の方はちょっとだけ「丁寧な言葉を使ったほうがいいかなと思いました。(全員にタメ口だったので…)

It was awesome!!! So relaxing and the views were breathe taking. I would recommend this activity for everyone and it is definitely something I would come back to do again. I do wish I ran into a Jurissaic Park sign it wouldve made for a great picture. Also, it would've been cool if the trail leader took at least one picture of each person on their horses for memory purposes. I found it hard to take a picture and ride the horse at the same time. But other than that the experiece was great!!!
